WWIII may well be a cyberwar – conceivably taking place without a shot being fired! Cyberwarfare uses cyberattacks to harm enemy states, with offensive cyberattacks targeting computer information systems to cause damage or destruction.
The opening salvo of WWIII will be a massive attack on Canadian, American and European computer systems, targeting power generation and transmission grids, pipelines and pump stations, natural gas processing, oil refineries, ports, airports, railways, food production and storage companies, armed forces facilities, and all levels of government.
The consequences of such an attack would be catastrophic, with life support infrastructure shutting down entirely. Stores would close shortly after losing power, and water, sewage treatment, hospitals, and emergency services would cease to function as emergency fuel runs dry. The loss of electrical power, fuel, and functional infrastructure could lead to widespread illness and starvation. The longer the “life support” system remains shut down, the higher the death toll.
Deaths would start almost immediately, and a prolonged power outage could result in over 100+ million dead in the 1st year in Canada and the USA, and a similar number of deaths in Europe if targeted. By the end of the second year, another 150-180 million people would be dead in both North America and Europe, marking the collapse of western civilization as we know it.
