Of course, in the political verbiage of the 21st century, the session will “protect California values” such as “fundamental civil rights, reproductive freedom, climate action, immigrant families and more.”

These things, the governor declared, are threatened by the election of Donald Trump.

The first step of this special legislative session will be to “shore up California’s defenses against an incoming federal administration that has threatened the state on multiple fronts.”

Apparently, he has in mind secession from the union. But first, some more rhetoric:

“The freedoms we hold dear in California are under attack – and we won’t sit idle.” And then Newsom borrows from Winston Churchill: “California have faced this challenge before and we know how to respond. We are prepared to fight in the courts, and we will do everything necessary to ensure Californians have the support and the resources they need to thrive.”

He does not mention what constituted the previous challenge, or how a vote of the American people threatens residents of California, but he involved California’s attorney general, who declares, “No matter what the incoming administration has in store, California will keep moving forward.”

The governor’s handout also involves Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas, quoted as saying, “I’m ready to fight harder than ever for opportunity, equality and a Golden State that works for each and every resident.” Completing the great wall of California is a similar endorsement from State Senate President Mike McGuire with a declaration that “We learned a lot about former President Trump in his first term – he’s petty, vindictive and will do what it takes to get his way no matter how dangerous the policy may be. California has come too far and accomplished too much to simply surrender and accept his dystopian vision for America.”

So much danger and so little time.

The first duty of this special legislative session is to issue public statements. What President Trump says will be refuted. The special session will focus on women’s rights and LGBTQ+ rights. The special session will appropriate more money to the attorney general to file litigation against the Trump administration.

Once would surmise from Newsom’s press release that he already has rescued California from the dark ages: “Since 2019 Governor Newsom and the California Legislature have defended progress, expanded civil rights, and protected California values.” One wonders how the Golden State survived from the gold rush days of 1849 to the coming of Gavin.

His bragging points to sustain his modest appraisal of his accomplishments then cite 25 legislative bills and $200 million consumed to “protect reproductive rights” and $45 billion spent on climate change energy policy. That is, by the way, a gross understatement of the state’s climate expenditures.

With the change in administration coming in Washington, D.C., Newsom suddenly has discovered states’ rights, so much so he is one step away from secession. In fact the similarities are so strong, Newsom studiously avoided the race issue in this media blitz.

The announcement had to be covered by local media, and so Newsom was able to campaign against Donald Trump even before Trump assumed office. Setting aside the issues Newsom raised, the Democrat Party is not going to consider any policy changes or moderations. They are right on all issues. The Republicans are not only wrong, they are repugnant, and the voters, well, they screwed up, partly because freedom of speech was not corrected by the managers of “mis” and “dis” information.

What is even more astounding is the fact this crisis was created by the Democrat Party and was 50 years in the making, and yet half the voters still intend to vote Democrat.

Republicans made a mistake in judgment when they focuses on the shortcomings of candidate Kamala Harris and did not make this election an evaluation of the direction of her party. The party has become blatantly socialist, and from city hall to Congress, it is demanding Americans surrender freedom and accept government direction of their lives.

The poor among us are the first victims of socialism, for they are the first recruits in the revolution. Next, the middle class is reduced to poverty to support government’s handouts to the poor. And finally, a small number of Lords of the Manor take over and run the dictatorship in order to “restore order.”

President Lyndon B. Johnson’s “war on poverty” lost the war to poverty, and America is beginning to resemble Medieval Europe.

Right now Democrats are gathering in small groups to discuss how they can overturn this election and prevent Donald Trump from becoming president. Donald Trump is not the issue. The issue is Democrat insiders’ lust for absolute political power. The perpetual demeaning of Trump is just a tactic.

Many Americans feel the previous election outcome was corrupted by voting reforms and administrative changes in the process, that the security of ballots and the counting of the ballots was not handled property.

The people know Joe Biden did not campaign vigorously, and when he did appear in public, he could not attract a crowd. The people knew Donald Trump garnered millions of more votes in 2020 than he had received in 2016, clearly an endorsement of his presidency. And yet it was not enough, as the candidate who did not campaign received millions more votes than any other presidential candidate in history.

The outcome of the 2020 election did not make statistical sense. Millions of people accepted the “Trump is bad” theme of that election, and voted for the other guy, no matter who he was.

This time around, those followers were told Trump is not only bad, but a threat to the survival of this nation, and he cannot be allowed to resume his presidency. The leadership of the Democrat Party is prepared to defy the vote of the people. It just did when it forced Joe Biden to withdraw and selected Kamala Harris as a replacement.

In order to assume the presidency even if they lose this election, leadership Democrats are preparing attacks upon the Electoral College by extolling direct popular election, or, as Americans were once taught, mob rule.

The leadership Democrats are preparing to assault the U.S. Supreme Court, expanding the number of justices when a Democrat in the White House could make the appointments. Clearly, the court would become a political instrument of the ruling party, and justice would be no more.

The leadership Democrats also are plotting massive legal attacks upon the election processes to delay and obfuscate the election outcome for weeks or months.

And like the dog rushing to smell the dropping of other dogs, the national press corps will follow wherever the leadership Democrats take them.

It is really difficult to sustain the country, when so many of its institutions are corrupted by foreign ideologies that hate the constitutional structure of the United States of America.

At this point it history, it is difficult to imagine what could be done to kneecap these revolutionaries before they enslave us all. And as the scenarios play out in one’s mind, it appears the only way for America to reverse course is for voters to banish socialists from office.

The first step would be to throw out the Democrat Party in a defeat so dramatic it could not recover. The party is beyond redemption. Equally important would be to eject the socialist Republicans, those who soft-peddle nefarious government growth programs and use war as America’s only diplomacy.

The press has covered this Nov. 5 decision as it would the red carpet at the Oscars. The coverage has been vapid. Combine that insufficiency with the blather that passes for K-12 education, and it is no wonder so many Americans do not have a clear picture of the threat they face.

Fear motivates the anti-Trumpers. Fear motivates the pro-Trumpers too. Expressed another way, Americans have been pushed to the point they fear each other, and that fear has squashed the traditional give and take, listen and learn, and mutual respect.

Americans need to figure out if they want personal freedom and free enterprise, or government to be the most important part of their lives.

Donald Trump is a very successful free-enterprise guy, and he made his fortune in the real estate market – which is 100% in favor of private property.

Kamala Harris is a government lawyer. She earned the reputation, as a nasty boss, so nasty even ideology cannot hold her team together.

One thing is certain. Harris is no Margaret Thatcher nor a Golda Meir.

It is a perfect profile of the socialist state at work. The first victim of socialism is the working man and woman, and the crowning glory of American socialism at work is the typical homeless camp.

This election is not going to solve these issues, but setting aside personalities, one candidate will advance the cause of free enterprise because it is in his blood. The other candidate will advance the socialist cause because that is all she knows.

California was going to pass a law to pay black citizens for being black. What else could it be, considering California was a free state in the 19th century? Gov. Gavin Newsom and Kamala Harris worked to turn that policy over to the California Reparations Commission. Harris always has been on record in favor of reparations, but timing is everything, and the woman wants to be president. The election is a few weeks away, and reparations are not politically correct.

Democrats in the legislature advanced a package of 14 bills produced by the work of the California Reparations Commission, and did so right in the midst of a presidential election. Their planning obviously was disrupted by the forced sidelining of the elected president and his replacement by candidate Kamala Harris. Now it’s time for cleanup in aisle California.

Non-Californians need to know the state’s legislature does most lawmaking under cover of darkness, with no public hearings, adding language to bills on the last day in the last hour of the legislative session. These are pieces of legislation that would not pass under the normal course of business. When you wish to write the rules for everyone else, and you do not want them to notice, Golden State lawmaking is done in secret, and the bill is on its way to be signed by a governor before the public is even aware of what just happened.

As an aside, this is how a state becomes a one-party state. It also is an example of how to destroy democracy.

Had the Republican Party blocked the funding bill for reparations, cities would burn. But since only 20% of California legislators are Republicans, the Democrats had to take action on their own. Had Joe Biden remained their candidate, none of this would have happened.

It would not do to raise the reparations issue with a presidential election only a couple of months away, and the Democrats’ political campaign focused upon the first black woman candidate. There will be plenty of time to fund reparations in California, and perhaps the nation, if Kamala Harris wins this election.

If the legislature had not demurred, it would have been left to Gov. Gavin Newsom to veto reparations, and he would not personally want to do that, as he bragged at every opportunity of having orchestrated the establishment of the California Reparations Commission. With a title such as that, it was a foregone conclusion what the group’s recommendations would be.

It is a bit strange to watch the California Democrats kill the reparations funding and watch the Democratic firebrands whimper. They sacrificed for the cause of the nation’s first black, first person of India heritage and the first woman president.

They are consoled by the thought that things will get better as soon as the Democrats control everything. In this election, 15% of the legislative districts in California do not have a Democrat an a Republican on the ballot. As it stand, before the Nov. 5 Golden State vote, Republicans, again, control only 20% of the state legislature and zero statewide constitutional offices.

The last day to register to vote in California is Oct. 21. All voters will receive a mail-in ballot, which may be “dropped” into unattended boxes located throughout the state. To avoid the election-day rush, in-person voting starts on Oct. 26, and the only restriction on mailed ballots is that each must be postmarked by Nov. 5 and be received by Nov. 12.

The outcome of California’s vote is not jeopardized by the end-of-session, late-night hold placed on reparations. California Democrats sacrificed reparations now to make a substantial in-kind contribution to the election of Kamala Harris.

When zoning first came into practice, it was a local effort to protect the character of neighborhoods and cities, essentially sorting out land uses by category. The result separated uses into categories and designed them by general plan ordinances.

The result was a city with space for industrial development and jobs, commercial centers and free enterprise, and residential areas. Those residential areas were further divided into single family homes, apartments and duplexes, with refinements taking into account lot sizes and other desirable features. Careful local planning brought character, stability and financial security to one of life’s most significant investments, a home. The political decisions as to how this was done were made by local citizens elected to city councils and boards of supervisors.

Here the goal was to protect someone’s investment, so the character of a neighborhood did not allow an oil refinery erected among million-dollar homes.

Other than major highways, substantive water projects and other selective public works, the state had nothing at all to do with local parks, libraries, law enforcement, fire protection, streets and roads, street lighting districts, water districts, mosquito abatement districts, etc.

This week Gov. Gavin Newsom presided over an event that illustrates the death of local government. Newsom’s purpose was to remind California voters he is their friend and protector and is watching out for them. Newsom, you see, is a creator of “equity.”

The governor is proud of the fact he threatened the City of Malibu with lawsuits and bludgeoned the locals into submission, so proud he issued a press release. The state, he declared, has taken over local zoning decisions and has successfully forced Malibu to build low-income housing amid those multi-million dollar seaside mansions.

Essentially, California’s new government model places “equity” ahead of private property rights and reduces local government to the level of overseer of state mandates.

Malibu has been forced to comply with the Housing Element law. The city will allow to be build 79 new housing units, 47 of those reserved for low-income folks who otherwise would not be able to partake of the Malibu coastal lifestyle. Hey, quit your job and move to Malibu. Makes perfect since in a country guided by overseers, but not if it values private enterprise and personal freedom.

“Our housing laws are not optional; they apply to all cities and counties in California,” State Attorney General Rob Bonta declared, and he intends to “make sure that every single city and county comes into compliance and plans for the future.” This is the essence of “equity.”

Of course, the homeowners living adjacent to the future low-income housing may see their life’s most important investment disintegrate, but that is irrelevant. The highlights of the history of low-income housing projects is written in neighborhood decline, increased crime and social failure. It always has been the case that low-income housing residents’ best chance of success is to escape.

For now, the future of Malibu is low-income housing. With visions such as this, it is no wonder the California governor dreams of being president.

Congress apparently hopes to restructure TikTok by force of law. Wednesday the House passed a bill effectively banning the app. Meanwhile, Microsoft records every keystroke on every computer using its operating system and app software. Not only does it collect any data it wishes to collect, Microsoft reviews the user files, manipulates those files for Microsoft’s financial gain, and exposes everyone’s files to governments and to other private users.

Yet many in Congress are upset the Chinese are “poisoning young people’s minds.” Perhaps the Congress ought to apply a constitutional standard to everyone. That would mean we are safe in our homes and in our personal papers from unreasonable search and seizure, and freedom of the press is allowed to reign.

Microsoft defaults everything its software touches to OneDrive. Even if the user uninstalls the OneDrive software, the default persists. To file a document on your own computer, you must override OneDrive each and every time, and any attempt to add that same document in a second file defaults back to OneDrive.

OneDrive constantly searches your computer and any external storage devices. Proof of that is demonstrated by its overzealous “Memories of this day” self-promotion. OneDrive collects your personal photographs and randomly drops a few images into a formatted layout. Not only is this an egregious violation of one’s privacy, it is dangerous. Personal photographs are kept personal for reasons known only to the owner.

Microsoft is not protecting your pictures by only sending them to you. Often their “Memories of the day” includes people and photographs that are not in your storage files. Maybe some pervert somewhere is “enjoying” a photograph of your wife as you read this. Microsoft is promoting Microsoft using your photographs and the photographs of your neighbors or those of some Iranian. Who knows?

Let’s consider the obvious. Lots of people have been married more than once. As a consequence, there may be photo files of the ex-wife with children, so do we really want Microsoft constantly sending your spouse photographs of the ex-spouse? Do we want to take a tour of our neighbor’s private pictures courtesy of Microsoft? There may be a photograph in your file taken when you were more than 50 pounds overweight. You keep it as a reminder. Do you need it flashed across the world by a software company?

Another example of the one world controlled by Microsoft is the constant parade of pop-up boxes. A recent pop-up said it tracked the user and found its involuntary inquiries were not used. So it asked if it should be deleted. We are all happy to eliminate computer clutter, but why does Microsoft record and analyze every keystroke on every computer it controls in the world?

The most often heard rebuttal of this and other invasions of privacy is “I’ve got nothing to hide,” and that works until suddenly you do have something to hide, or at a minimum, not promote. That is when you realize you have no choice. It is up to Microsoft … or the government. Microsoft, Google and others have designed a system for their benefit, not yours.

The spectacle of Congress berating TikTok and the Communist Party of China while we allow American companies to steal the same information at will, is offensive. But the legal precedent is important. First control TikTok.

Before we go all self-righteous over TikTok and propaganda aimed at children, let’s look at the propaganda we routinely allow.

After the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020, there was a dramatic shift in television advertising content. Suddenly, it seemed 90% of the actors hired to perform in advertising were black. Homosexual couples in sexual embrace were common, and obese women were preening and bouncing about enthusiastically. The only time a white male actor lands an advertising gig, it is to play the idiot to the ever-suffering, eye-rolling woman in his life. She, of course, will be laboring over a hot computer while he stands before her, spatula in hand, awaiting her dinner order.

There it is. The entire Democrat Party social agenda paraded every 10 minutes on every channel as the epitome of American life. Demur and you are evil, wicked, bad and nasty.

So Congress is going to save us from China’s TikTok – but who is going to save us from the Advertising Council? Republican Speaker Mike Johnson was all in to pass the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act.

OK. But America is drowning in propaganda of its own making.

What has changed in America? Many victims of crime would come home from work to find their television set grew legs and walked out of the home. Once upon a time the criminal either needed a new TV, or the cash to buy more drugs. Today, it is not uncommon to find the entire house trashed. Destruction for the sake of destruction. The 80-year-old lady navigating her walker down the sidewalk probably is not carrying a lot of cash when she is knocked down and beaten to death. Often the video captures the joy on the faces of the murderers. These people seem to enjoy the killing. Deviate sexual crimes are a daily staple of crime reporting, and Frankenstein surgery is practiced in the nation’s hospitals.

Society cannot survive this daily diet of Charles Manson-style bloodshed.

What changed to create mass societal suicide? Marxists have been verbally abusing personal freedom and free enterprise for more than a century. In Los Angeles after World War II, UCLA was often referred to as the “little red schoolhouse.” That never changed, but the Marxist propaganda is now the position of the national government, sways both major national political parties and dominates nations on all continents. Down south, way south, Argentina just said “no mas.”

Americans are told daily their nation was founded by evil people, always has done evil things, and so Western civilization, particularly Christianity, must be destroyed. It seems logical to assume some people will be influenced enough to lash out at their perceived oppressors.

Add to the mix the fact that an extraordinary number of Americans have voluntarily engaged in self-destructive drug abuse. At the beginning of the 1960s, the homeless population had a problem with alcohol consumption. Then marijuana was added, and now we are flooded with synthetic drugs and life destroyers. Somewhere, some time along that journey, the individual may decide nothing is his fault, society has failed him, and then he becomes violent.

It also is logical to be concerned that those who eject the idea of the United States of America might also gravitate to a new world order. The prevailing political outlook in this nation now characterizes everyone, not as a person, but part of a “community,” and that community also is oppressed by a corrupt society. There is a parallel demand government make repairs to fix its failures. The last place a person in this position should go to seek help is government – which cannot repair the roads, operate a profitable railroad, or even provide a basic education to the children.

Government’s response to the drug crisis has been to legalize it, go into the drug business itself to tax it, and abandon the nation’s borders to increase the population’s dependence upon drugs and government. If one wanted to grow government, is there a better way?

This leaves the responsible, working American angry at the government as he navigates the sidewalk excrement. Both the homeless sidewalk dweller and the beleaguered homeowner share an anger at our social condition. Added to that anger is the news of invaders from Africa, Asian, South and Central America all lined up for taxpayer-provided free housing, free food, free medical care and free education.

Imagine the riots when the free stuff is no longer provided.

So one side aligns the American middle class and the lower income folks who have had it up to here with government abuse pitted against the Ivy League graduates who also think nations and elections failed. Their solution is absolute power over a new world order run by them and their computers.

Last week the world leaders of tomorrow, the folks who intend to do away with nations and elections and eliminate half the population, bragged about their plans. The attendees at the World Economic Forum were giddy with enthusiasm. That is how confident these masters of the universe are about their own destiny. Why not? President Biden echoes their every word. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, fresh from his trashing of Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu, maintained his ardent enthusiasm for the WEF plotters. John Kerry was at Davos to save earth from humanity.

How do the plotters and the schemers plan to transition from nation states run by local citizens to a singular social, economic and political organization for the world?

Probably, the coup will come after a devastating world war. These plotters have that covered too. In case you missed it, Klaus Schwab called for Europe to go to war with Russia, using beleaguered Ukraine as the excuse.

Klaus Schwab makes Vladimir Putin look like Peter Rabbit. To those Americans who lived through the Cold War and appreciated President Ronald Reagan to bring it to a non-violent close, Schwab sounds very much like a mad man in search of an asylum.

This was humanity worshiping its machines, and it may bring the wrath of God upon us all.

It seems as if society, worldwide, is determined to commit suicide. Artificial intelligence, which is nothing more than a computer program, preaching to humanity is the ultimate sin.

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”

That is the first and second of the Ten Commandments. Of course, an atheist casts all that aside. It is his or her risk to take. A Christian cannot dismiss these instructions, or the words that follow, yet here, in this Protestant church in Germany, the congregation sits and worships before an idol and calls the event a “service” – yet nothing about the service was real.

To borrow a trite but favorite phrase of the left: This event “sent a message.”

Transgenderism, not surprisingly, sends the same message: We are all gods created in our own image and limited only by our own imagination. And at the root of it all is the Marxist concept that government is the source of all goodness, and therefore, god-like. The message from this church permeates everything.

For the college professor, his experimental church event was a success. The people sat there and took it seriously. Parishioners offered analysis as if the charade were worthy of it. The report quotes no one expressing outrage or insult. Some may have done so, but the Associated Press reporter chose not to quote them.

Would the believers among us continue to rise early, attend a 9 a.m. Mass or church service, as a life-long devotion to God, just to hear a computer program “sermon” delivered by a false image? Or would you have breakfast with the family and mow the lawn? Lawn perhaps is a poor analogy, as the climate gods forbids it.

Machine worship, like self-worship, can destroy civilization.
