The report by UN Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women Reem Alsalem urged countries and sporting organizations to prohibit “men who identify as women” to compete in sports events for biological females. She wrote that allowing these transgender women in such competitions leads to biological women and girls experiencing “extreme psychological distress” due to physical imbalance with rivals, loss of fair competition and educational and economic opportunities, and violations of privacy.

Alsalem also noted the damage caused by allowing gender-confused males to compete with females have caused in the field of women’s sports in recent years. More than 600 female athletes have lost around 890 medals in more than 400 competitions, in 29 different sports, as a result.

“Giving men so-called hormone blockers so they can compete with women, as some sports leagues do, doesn’t work,” she remarked. Such medications do not reduce men’s natural advantage, and strong hormone drugs can even harm an athlete’s health, noted LifeSiteNews.

The rapporteur also cited the risk of injury to female athletes. This risk increases when biologically female competitors face off against biological males. According to Alsalem, physical harm suffered by female athletes as a result of males competing against them can be characterized as violence. “Alsalem’s approach challenges the assumption of Western and UN-backed gender policies, which are based on gender as a social construct unrelated to biological sex,” LifeSiteNews pointed out. But instead of praise, the rapporteur and her document received condemnation from representatives of UN member nations.

Dylan Lang, a member of the U.S. mission to the United Nations, rebuked the rapporteur and the document she presented. The diplomat, who was wearing a heart-shaped pin with the colors of the Progress Pride flag during the presentation, accused Alsalem of using “degrading language,” “bullying” and spreading “gender misinformation.” Lang was not alone in his condemnation, as delegates from the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, France, Mexico, Colombia and other nations also joined in.

Alsalem finds an ally in Polish conservative think tank

“Sex must be understood in its ordinary meaning to mean biological sex,” Alsalem said, citing a declaration from the 1995 UN World Conference on Women held in the Chinese capital Beijing. She continued that the idea of “sex based on biology” has been established in the international human rights catalog, as opposed to the concept of “gender.” According to the rapporteur, the two should not be confused.”

“Human rights language and principles must continue to be consistent with science and facts, including biological ones. Multiple studies have given evidence that athletes born male have a performance advantage in sports throughout their lives, although this is most apparent after puberty.”

Despite the condemnation she received, Alsalem appears to have found an ally in the Ordo Iuris Center for International Law (OI). Julia Ksiazek, an analyst for the Warsaw-based OI, put in her two cents on the rapporteur’s findings.

“Alsalem identified a major problem that became fully apparent at the Paris Olympics this year – when it became evident that women were no longer competing against women, but also men who ‘identify’ as women,” Ksiazek said.

“The UN expert rightly noted in her report that athletes’ mental identification does not in any way affect their biological predisposition, which they have by being men. This type of situation is the result of lobbying in international law for the concept of ‘sex with social context’ – gender.”

Data from AgFunderNews cited by the National Pulse reveals that the industry is in dire straits due to dwindling money. Funding for the lab-grown meat sector peaked at $989 million in 2021 but dipped slightly to $807 million in 2022. This dropped by almost 80 percent to just a mere $177 million last year.

“Industry experts claim they need substantial government assistance to survive, with various sectors within agrifood tech seeing a steep decline in investments since early 2022 and private capital for [lab-grown] meat almost vanishing,” the Pulse pointed out. “The decline in funding has prompted many startups to reduce staff, consolidate operations or, in some cases, cease operations altogether.”

Robert Jones, vice president for global public affairs at Dutch startup Mosa Meat, highlighted this issue during the Future Food-Tech Summit in late September. He told participants: “There’s a valley of death we’re not going to cross as an industry without a massive infusion of public investment.”

Andrew Ive, founder and managing general partner at venture capital (VC) firm Big Idea Ventures, echoed Jones’ sentiments. He emphasized that VC money won’t be funding capital expenses for large-scale commercial facilities for fake meat production.

“I think it’s going to take [a country] like the Netherlands or the [United Arab Emirates],” he told AgFunderNews, stressing the immense capital needed. “Maybe Saudi Arabia. It could be … Japan.”

Ive continued: “For me, what makes sense is [the mix of] cultivated with traditional meat – a bit like adding ethanol to gasoline for cars. So I think the way this will ultimately be rolled out in the marketplace will be where 20 percent of the meat content of a dumpling in China, for example, will end up being cultivated meat as opposed to traditional meat.”

Customers have decided: Fake meat is a NO for them

According to the Pulse, the economic case for lab-grown meat is “deteriorating rapidly.” In the same manner, the environmental and health cases for it are also on a decline.

Recent studies have suggested that fake meat is far from being a green alternative to the traditional livestock farming it ostensibly seeks to replace. One such paper by scientists from the University of California, Davis found that lab-grown meat produces up to 25 times more carbon dioxide (CO2) when scaled up to the current supply in the market.

According to the paper, the environmental impact of fake meat “is likely to be orders of magnitude higher than median beef production.” The increased CO2 levels would be necessary for the purification processes that supply nutrients to cultured cells. “The use of refinement methods contributes significantly to the economic and environmental costs associated with pharmaceutical products since they are both energy and resource intensive,” the study authors wrote.

Aside from this, concerns about fake meat being a product of “immortalized cell lines” that replicate in perpetuity – cancer, in other words. A February 2023 op-ed in the Pulse by the Raw Egg Nationalist, which cited a story from Bloomberg, warned of the dangers of eating such edible cancer cells.

“The problem is that the materials used to make the product – ‘immortalized cell lines’ – replicate forever, just like cancer. Which means, in effect, that they are cancer. Although these cell lines are widely used in scientific research, they’ve never been used to produce food before.”

The Washington Free Beacon reported on this matter, citing the Climate Kids webpage operated by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). While the webpage includes educational materials and activities for children, it also parrots talking points from the climate alarmists. These include claims like “the world is undergoing cataclysmic warming,” “sea levels are rising” and “global ice coverage is diminishing.”

Just like the green tyrants claim, the Climate Kids page claims that fossil fuels are to blame for “pollution, the destruction of landscapes and natural habitats, oil spills in the ocean, and nasty fracking chemicals in the ground.” It also proclaims that global warming is the “biggest problem of all” despite studies that prove that the world’s temperatures are actually cooling. The Free Beacon also showed an example of NASA’s Climate Kids webpage brainwashing children about the dangers of “climate change” and rising sea levels. One image predicted that cities like New Orleans and Miami could be underwater. However, the site does not show a timeline as to when it will happen.

Meanwhile, the NOAA Education Portal managed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) also peddles talking points from climate alarmists. It includes a curriculum with catastrophic language about global warming. “Courses linked on the portal, for example, encourage students to foster negative emotions about the state of the environment into taking action,” noted the Free Beacon.

“The online resources appear to be a peg in the Biden-Harris administration’s broader strategy of aiming climate messaging at younger generations.”

Texas Sen. Cruz to investigate the two climate portals

According to the Free Beacon, the NASA Climate Kids webpage was created during the Obama administration in 2012. However, the NOAA Education Portal was made under the Biden administration only in 2022.

The webpages did not sit well with U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), ranking member of the Senate Commerce Committee, with both now the subject of an investigation he is spearheading. On Aug. 22, he wrote letters to NASA Administrator Bill Nelson and NOAA Administration Richard Spinrad over the two resources. Cruz demanded information from the two officials about their efforts to stoke climate anxiety and “manufacture support” for “radical environmental activism.”

The senator accused the two agencies of producing “faux-educational materials that fuel climate alarmism” to generate support for the Biden administration’s climate agenda. Such fearmongering, he noted, contributes to the rise of “eco-anxiety” among young Americans.

“Young people are absorbing the rhetoric. They report high levels of anxiety about climate change and are adapting their behavior in radical ways, including by foregoing children. Is this anxiety based on science or sensationalism? The evidence points to the latter.”

Cruz wrote in his letter to Nelson that the prediction of submerged cities shown in the Climate Kids webpage wouldn’t happen for hundreds of years, if it will, based on the most updated analyses. “Our country’s approach to climate change should be driven by science, not the woke zeitgeist,” the senator wrote.

The Texas Republican meanwhile wrote in his letter to Spinrad that a video from 2012 in the NOAA Education Portal warned that melting ice caps could create an “inescapable death spiral.” The same video warned that “global warming” would leave no ice in the Arctic Ocean by 2022. However, NASA’s own data showed the opposite – the minimum extent of Arctic ice has increased by 29 percent since the video’s creation.

NASA spokeswoman Jennifer Dooren told the Free Beacon that her agency received the letter and would respond to the senator directly. Meanwhile, NOAA – which is under the Department of Commerce – did not respond to a request for comment.

Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin witnessed the practice firsthand in the border section at the Jacumba area in California’s San Diego County. He noted that the unlawful border crossers seem to be unconcerned with exploiting the open border. The network cameras captured several illegal aliens, who crossed with a larger group, taking selfies against the border wall.

“[They’re] coming in with no fear of deportation, no fear of removal,” Melugin wrote on X. “I watched them as they walked to this border wall right behind me and started posing for selfies and pictures in front of our border wall.”

“[It’s] as if it’s a tourist attraction or a great background for their TikTok [videos] or Instagram photos. It’s just remarkable to see that some of them just think it’s like a joke.”

This was not the first time Melugin observed such behavior from unlawful border crossers goaded to enter the U.S. illegally, thanks to President Joe Biden’s open borders policy. In March, he recounted a similar instance – which happened at the Arizona section of the border wall.

The Fox News correspondent shared a video of illegals captured in Lukeville, Arizona. It captured dozens of women, children and families dressed in clean, casual clothes and carrying their belongings. Several of the migrants in the group are seen holding mobile phones and celebrating their illegal entry into the United States.

“If no action is taken, buckle up for the rest of the year – if the last three years are any indication. Especially if migrants feel they need to get in before Biden is potentially voted out of office,” Melugin wrote on X. Op-ed: Selfies contribute to INCREASE in illegals

In an August 2022 op-ed published in the New York Post, Center for Immigration Studies Senior National Security Fellow Todd Bensman pointed out that these selfies are the main reason why the number of illegal immigrants is growing by the day.

“Smartphone technology is a massive driver of migration, sending the message to Central and South America of ‘wish you were here,'” he wrote. Despite remarks from the federal government dissuading would-be migrants from crossing, pictures of “handouts, checks, documents and new clothes” sent by illegals already in the U.S. only serve to convince them that it’s worth entering American soil unlawfully.

According to Bensman, migrants simply looked at the selfies of their friends, neighbors and relatives being allowed in when Vice President Kamala Harris discouraged border crossers from entering. In the same way, migrants simply looked at selfies of unaccompanied minors who made it when Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas dissuaded parents from sending their children to cross the “dangerous” southern border.

“This works like any flash mob. It is always the phones that tell and show where the deportation and robbery zones are, so the crowds coming up behind can divert elsewhere. It is always the phones that tell of and show where to find the welcome mats and free giveaways, often exactly where and how to get them,” he wrote.

“If knowledge is power and a picture [is] worth a thousand words, no clarion call has more influence on migrant decisions and action than video selfies loosed from cellphones. This is what launched and sustained the greatest mass migration crisis in U.S. history.”

The first study published in Cell & Bioscience last November found that drinking approximately one to two cups of coffee daily is enough to inhibit COVID-19 infections caused by different strains of SARS-CoV-2. In particular, it found that the consumption of coffee addressed infections caused by the original SARS-CoV-2 strain and its subsequent variants – the B117 alpha strain, the B16172 delta strain and the B11529 omicron strain.

The study authors from Taiwan examined coffee’s ability to fight off COVID-19 infection by purchasing three kinds of coffee – ground, instant and decaffeinated – from supermarkets. They discovered that all the coffee types they scrutinized possess the ability to inhibit viral infection in cells.

The study authors also found that adding milk or sugar does not impact coffee’s antiviral properties. Even decaffeinated coffee “still has the capability to interrupt SARS-CoV-2 infection, which is important to know for caffeine-sensitive populations.” Moreover, they mentioned in their paper that “the optimal timeline for coffee to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 infection is within six hours” after drinking. According to the researchers, there are two ways coffee protects human cells against SARS-CoV-2 infection. First, compounds in coffee inhibit the spike protein’s ability to bind with human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) in human cells. Second, they reduce the activity of transmembrane serine protease 2 (TMPRSS2) and cathepsin L (CTSL).

“Taken together, drinking one to two cups of coffee as well as decaffeinated coffee daily can potentially reduce SARS-CoV-2 infection – including wild-type, alpha, delta and omicron variants,” the researchers concluded.

Same antiviral properties also present in coffee leaves

Another study by the same research team from Taiwan focused on the ability of Coffea arabica leaves to address SARS-CoV-2 infection. Their earlier study published in July 2022 in the International Journal of Biological Sciences found that C. arabica leaves can inhibit the entry of the pathogen behind COVID-19 and its various strains into human cells.

This is because C. arabica leaf extracts have several phytochemicals that are also present in coffee beans. These include chlorogenic acid, caffeine, quinic acid and mangiferin. They inhibit infection by preventing the viral spike protein from binding with ACE2 receptors in human cells and reducing the activity of TMPRSS2.

During an appearance on the Taiwanese program “Health 1+1”, professor emeritus Jin-Jian Zhang of the National Taiwanese University‘s College of Medicine expounded on the benefits of coffee. The professor with years of research experience in coffee under his belt said daily coffee consumption can alleviate inflammation, enhance immunity, and reduce the risks of cardiovascular diseases and cancer.

According to Zhang, coffee’s association with longevity is linked to the various bioactive compounds present in it – the same compounds that contribute to its antiviral properties. These compounds such as chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, trigonelline, cafestol and melanoidins form during the roasting process, and exhibit antioxidant properties to some extent.

The professor also pointed out that coffee can help address depression, citing two mechanisms. First, coffee can increase the population of beneficial bacteria in the gut – with higher populations of good bacteria contributing to improved sleep quality. Second, the aroma of coffee beans can trigger the release of feel-good hormones in the body – enhancing overall happiness in turn.

Zhang shared that he consumes coffee with added milk, mainly to mitigate its potential effects on the digestive system. However, newer research has found that coffee with added milk offers greater benefits as the cysteine in milk combines with coffee’s polyphenols, enhancing the drink’s anti-inflammatory activity.

However, the professor advised against adding non-dairy creamer or sugar to coffee. Non-dairy creamer mainly contains trans fats that aren’t good for the body, while sugar may contribute unnecessary calories.

South African International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor confirmed the full membership of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during a Jan. 31 press briefing in the capital Pretoria. The five nations accepted the invitation from the BRICS core group extended during a summit last year. She also told members of the media that Russia, which takes over as the group’s chair from South Africa, has received written interest from 34 countries that want to join.

According to Pandor, Argentina has been accepted as a full member of the BRICS group. However, Argentinian President Javier Milei reversed course and instead strengthened relations with the West. “Argentina has written to indicate that they will not act on this successful application by the previous administration to become full members of BRICS, and we accept their decision,” she said.

The South African minister added that she and her colleagues in the group are developing a so-called BRICS partner country model. This model, Pandor said, would accommodate 17 nations that weren’t accepted as full members.

Moreover, she mentioned that the group is also devising a framework to allow members to use their local currencies for inter-BRICS trade. According to her, the group found the current international payment system that uses the U.S. dollar to be “unfair and costly.”

Ullas Rao, an assistant professor at Heriot-Watt University‘s Edinburgh Business School, noted that the inclusion of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi in BRICS is a “particularly noteworthy” development. With the two oil giants’ substantial sovereign wealth funds, they are poised to create significant growth opportunities in BRICS through investments, trade and commerce.

“The expansion of the BRICS multilateral bloc to include Saudi Arabia and the UAE augurs extremely well, amid ongoing geopolitical and economic challenges confronting the world economy,” he told Economy Middle East.

BRICS grows to 10 members from initial 5 core countries

According to Bloomberg, leaders of the five core BRICS nations – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – “agreed to enlarge their BRICS group from Jan. 1 at a summit held in Johannesburg in August” of last year. The inclusion of the five new members, which expands the group to 10 nations, took effect on the same day as Russia assumed BRICS’ rotating chairmanship.

Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed the five new member nations in an official statement. He said: “BRICS is attracting an ever-increasing number of supporters and like-minded countries that share its underlying principles – namely, sovereign equality; respect for the chosen path of development; mutual consideration of interests; openness; consensus; the aspiration to form a multi-polar international order and a fair global financial and trade system; and pursuit of collective solutions to top challenges of our time.” (Related: Saudi Arabia fortifies relations with Russia, thumbing its nose to the West.)

Ayham Kamel, head of the Middle East and North Africa research team for consultancy firm Eurasia Group, commented on the development. He specifically zeroed in on the inclusion of Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Tehran and Cairo in the BRICS group.

“The prospect of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iran and Egypt joining BRICS creates new mechanisms that force a degree of political cooperation by all the countries,” Kamel said. “The Arab countries are looking [to improve] their global geopolitical influence.”

According to The Hill, Trump’s direct threat against Haley’s supporters signals a sharpening in his rhetoric as he seeks to compel support from the entire Republican Party. The former president beat Haley, who served as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under him, by 11 points during the Jan. 23 New Hampshire primary.

Trump took a swipe at Haley during his victory speech on the same day as the primary, telling his supporters: “Let’s not have somebody take a victory when she had a very bad night. She had a very bad night.” But later, the former president remarked that he could not let Haley “get away with b******t.”

In recent weeks, Trump has managed to secure numerous high-profile endorsements – even from some lawmakers who had once criticized him as unfit for office. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Texas Sen. John Cornyn and Nebraska Sen. Deb Fischer – all from the GOP – expressed support for him.

Even Trump’s erstwhile rivals for the GOP’s presidential nomination are backing him up. These include South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum. Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who both withdrew after the Iowa caucuses, also threw their support behind Trump.

Trump: Haley’s campaign backed by Democratic DARK MONEY

Days before the primary in the Granite State, Trump blasted Haley in a Jan. 20 speech. He pointed to her top campaign staffer’s links to a dark money group known for donating to Democratic causes. The former president cited a report by the Washington Examiner about this development.

Trump asked the crowd: “Haley’s state director in New Hampshire, listen carefully – Tyler Clark. Did anyone ever hear of him?”

“He was a lobbyist for the Sixteen Thirty Fund, which is managed by Arabella Advisors – the largest Democrat dark money network in the country, and considered Public Enemy No. 1. Former USSF Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier testified before a panel of the House of Representatives on Jan. 17 about “the ongoing Marxist inspired efforts to subvert and weaken our military and broader American society.” His criticism of these endeavors led to his termination in May 2021.

During his testimony, Lohmeier said he was fired from his command “for writing a book trying to reverse the trend of the overt politicization of the uniformed services.” This book, titled “Irresistible Revolution: Marxism’s Goal Of Conquest & the Unmaking of the American Military,” was eventually published and even became an Amazon best-seller.

“Specifically, I criticize the military’s DEI trainings which, at my own base, were illegally occurring despite an executive order from the commander-in-chief,” he told lawmakers. “The DEI industry is steeped in critical race theory (CRT) and is rooted in anti-American Marxist ideology.”

Lohmeier recounted that prior to promoting his book, he “submitted a formal written complaint” to the USSF’s Office of the Inspector General. He outlined several violations that were occurring because of the DEI training, such as illegal race-based discrimination.

Unfortunately, his complaint was never investigated and was ultimately dismissed by Lt. Gen. Stephen Whiting, the head of U.S. Space Command. Lohmeier later “received a written dismissal of [his] complaint from Whiting personally” after just two months.

According to the former USSF officer, top officials at the Department of Defense “requested $140 million to expand work diversity initiatives in fiscal year 2024.” This amount, he continued, is “double what it’s been the previous two years.”

But Lohmeier ultimately warned lawmakers that such initiatives come with dire consequences. “I watched DEI trainings divide our troops ideologically and, in some cases, sow the seeds of animosity toward the very country they had sworn an oath to defend,” he said.

Woke agenda dividing the U.S. military

Last June, Lohmeier spoke with the Epoch Times about the dangers of the woke agenda in the military. He said then that the woke agenda backed by the Biden administration weakens and divides the military – ultimately compromising national security. “Americans should know that when someone signs up to wear the uniform of their country, they’re trained early on to leave political baggage at the door and to be rather apolitical while acting in an official capacity,” Lohmeier said. “There is something that supersedes those topics for men and women in uniform – and that’s a particular mission in support of national security.”

He pointed out that service members often avoid discussing political topics as they focus on the sole mission of protecting the nation. But nowadays, most service members striving to remain apolitical “are finding themselves in a hyper-politicized and sexualized work environment at the moment.” If they oppose the environment, “they are labeled as politically partisan and simply ‘part of the problem’ and are ostracized for it.”

Lohmeier noted that under the Biden administration, “left-wing activists have essentially been given a bully pulpit” they use to promote ideas such as CRT, DEI standards and the LGBT agenda. “These agendas strike at the values of the military and its role in defending the Constitution,” he said.

Moreover, he continued that such ideas are “divisive in nature because not everyone aligns with or agrees with those agendas” and are viewed by some as a distraction from the military’s proper priorities.

“While the military has always been – by and large – a reflection of broader American society, there is something very different going on right now in this current administration,” Lohmeier said. “At the forefront of the cultural dialogue in the military is what has been driven by policy.”

The 2023 poll conducted by the Washington Post and the University of Wisconsin found that more respondents believe Biden is an illegitimate president compared to its 2022 edition. Concerns about Biden’s legitimacy have increased across the board – with Republicans, Democrats and independents now expressing skepticism.

“Belief in Biden’s legitimacy fell by nearly 10 points among adult Americans between 2022 and 2023, with just over 60 percent saying he is the legitimate president in 2023 compared to nearly 70 percent in 2022,” the National Pulse said.

“Among Republicans, belief in the legitimacy of the 2020 election and Biden’s victory fell from 40 percent to just over 30 percent. And among Democrats, [almost] 10 percent now say Biden is an illegitimate president compared to [roughly] five percent in 2022,” the Pulse continued. The same sentiments were also reflected among independent-leaning respondents, with only 66 percent believing Biden’s presidency is legitimate in 2023 compared to 72 percent in 2022.

“Perhaps most concerning for Biden is the erosion of support among young Americans. The polling data reveals American youth are less likely to believe Biden is a legitimate president than older Americans.”

According to the Pulse, “the backlash against Biden comes as Democrats step up efforts to remove former President Donald Trump from 2024 primary and general election ballots over accusations that he orchestrated an ‘insurrection’ on Jan. 6, 2021.”

“Voters have increasingly turned on the Biden government over its handling of the unchecked flow of illegal immigrants at the U.S. southern border, a sluggish economy, and concerns about him abusing office to financially enrich his family.”

Separate poll also finds Biden as a POOR LEADER

A separate survey from 2023 also found that Biden is a poor leader and a president who cannot be trusted. The poll by Center Square and Noble Predictive Insights (NPI) sampled 2,500 registered voters who leaned Republican, Democratic and independent from July 31 to Aug. 3, 2023.

It found that 49 percent of respondents say Biden is not a strong leader. Forty-nine percent also believe that Biden does not have the judgment to serve effectively, while 47 percent say he is not trustworthy. Sixty-six percent of respondents say the country is headed in the wrong direction with Biden at the helm, while 54 percent of respondents disapprove of the job he is doing. NPI CEO Mike Noble noted how Biden’s rating is “underwater with both older and younger voters. He also pointed out that four in 10 Democratic-leaning voters and seven in 10 independents think the country is going in the wrong direction. The Biden campaign is mainly relying on voters who lean Democratic and independent to secure a win in the 2024 elections.

Meanwhile, a third survey conducted by National Public Radio (NPR) and Marist College between Aug. 11 and Aug. 14 of last year found that 52 percent of respondents disapprove of how Biden does his job as president. The poll which involved 1,220 adults also found that his disapproval rating is more pronounced along party lines.

An overwhelming majority of respondents who identified as Republicans – 91 percent – are dissatisfied with his work. The same sentiment was seen in respondents who identified as independent, with 55 percent expressing dissatisfaction with Biden’s performance.

Dr. Mary Talley Bowden told the Epoch Times of this medical fascism, adding: “I see it every single day. Enough is enough.”  She recounted the ordeal of one of her patients, who had been refused the life-saving medication. The elderly patient’s health has deteriorated in the time it took to find a pharmacy that honored the ivermectin prescription.

“It’s hard to believe, but pharmacists are still blocking these potentially life-saving drug. The pharmacist didn’t talk to the patient, and won’t know if the patient lives or dies – yet had control of [their] care,” said Bowden.

“This needs to come to an end. In telling my patients what medicines they can and cannot have access to, we effectively have a large group of pharmacists practicing medicine without a license. They have no accountability for this yet they are allowed to dictate patient care.”

According to Bowden, individual pharmacists aren’t the ones to blame in most cases as they often carry out orders from corporate leadership. However, she said there are examples of pharmacists preventing her patients from getting their medication due to their own “personal agenda.”

“Prior to COVID, I never had a pharmacist refuse a prescription. This is a new phenomenon and it needs to come to an end. This is going beyond their role and it’s a dangerous trend,” she said. “It’s an outrage. I would have thought we were beyond this but it continues to happen.”

Bowden also warned that this could lead down a slippery slope that diminishes patients’ rights if pharmacists are left unchecked.

Gov’t lawyer affirms that doctors CAN prescribe ivermectin for COVID-19

While ivermectin has been around for decades, it became the center of controversy in 2020 after medical opinion split over its effectiveness against COVID-19. Many pharmacists refused to fill prescriptions for the medication. Meanwhile, the FDA smeared ivermectin as a “horse dewormer” and advised Americans against taking it to address SARS-CoV-2 infection.

But on Aug. 8, a government lawyer representing the FDA confirmed that doctors were free to prescribe the drug against COVID-19. Ashley Cheung Honold of the Department of Justice told the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals: “[The] FDA explicitly recognizes that doctors do have the authority to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID-19.” (Related: FDA now admits doctors can prescribe IVERMECTIN to treat COVID-19.)

Her testimony came during the course of oral arguments before the court, following a lawsuit filed by Bowden and two other plaintiffs against the federal government. They accused the FDA of interfering with their ability to prescribe ivermectin to COVID-19 patients. According to Bowden, she hoped that the FDA’s acknowledgment during the Aug. 8 court hearing would have put an end to the objections at the pharmacist counter.

Later, the regulator issued a clarification on Aug. 17 regarding the use of the drug. While it had approved ivermectin for certain uses in humans and animals, it had not issued any statement affirming the safety or effectiveness of the drug for treating COVID-19.

The FDA nevertheless affirmed that individual doctors have the final say on whether or not to prescribe it for SARS-CoV-2 infection. “Health care professionals generally may choose to prescribe an approved human drug for an unapproved use when they judge that the unapproved use is medically appropriate for an individual patient,” the agency said.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) also believes the widespread denial of ivermectin could have hugely contributed to untold numbers of COVID-19 deaths.

“The doctors I’ve been dealing with and talking to for years now, they believe that probably hundreds of thousands of Americans lost their lives because they were denied early treatment. They were denied because the FDA sabotaged, for example, ivermectin,” Johnson told Fox News.

“We are going down a very dangerous path, but it’s a path that is being laid out and planned by an elite group of people who want to take total control over our lives. That’s what they’re doing bit by bit.”
