i am inclined to think… law enforcement should be local. This is only way voters can reach out and provide corrective processes. DC is become an empire.. which is no longer accountable to any voter.. DC’s function should be coordinate through local officials. But have no direct authority over any citizen.

The FBI, CIA, BATFE, Homeland Security and NSA are far too corrupt and evil at this point for such “de-weaponization” efforts to be of any significant value. All of these agencies should be disbanded and all of their upper leadership (down to the individual Field Offices) should be forever barred from working in law enforcement ever again. The duties of the law enforcement agencies listed should be folded into the US Marshal Service and that agencies responsibilities expanded. The civilian Intelligence Community should be scaled down dramatically and perhaps rebranded as the WW2 equivalent of the OSS. The DIA should pick up the responsibility for the mission of the NSA. That agency should have extensive Oversight provided by Congress.
