This is NOT a nothingburger. It’s a huge story that centers around the Biden Crime Family itself. To pretend that Langston was acting alone and neither James nor Joe Biden were involved is ludicrous. “Impeachment is still on the table,” Comer said shortly after his remarks Tuesday at a government weaponization symposium at The Heritage Foundation, parent organization of The Daily Signal.

Congressional Republicans and other observers have been particularly concerned, because presidential son Hunter Biden and other members of the Biden family have struck lucrative business deals in foreign nations such as China, Russia, and Ukraine.

But as a House impeachment of Biden seems less likely because of the razor-thin Republican majority, Comer said he is considering making criminal referrals to the Justice Department—and that Biden’s own law enforcement agency could be forced to take the referrals seriously.

“The main goal for me is to provide accountability, because they have done wrong,” Comer said in a brief interview with The Daily Signal about the Biden family’s influence-peddling scandal. “I think there will be accountability.”

“Because of our investigation, were it not for our investigation,” the Kentucky Republican added, “Hunter Biden would have gotten blanket immunity several months ago.”

Last year, the president’s son reached a plea agreement with the Justice Department. However, after a federal judge scrutinized the deal, it fell apart. Two federal grand juries later indicted the younger Biden on a gun charge and unrelated tax charges.

“We provided an infrastructure to ensure there is a chance of getting accountability in the Justice Department now, in the Merrick Garland Justice Department,” Comer said, referring to the attorney general appointed by Biden.

“With respect to the other crimes, I think there is going to be [accountability]–because of our investigation—an opportunity to have real accountability for the Bidens and the crimes that they’ve committed.”

During his remarks at the Weaponization of the U.S. Government Symposium held by Heritage’s Oversight Project, Comer also stressed that accountability is the next step but didn’t mention the House’s impeachment inquiry.

“Right now, we are going to try to figure out the best way to hold this family accountable,” Comer said at the symposium. “We’ve proven they were influence peddling. We’ve proven [the] many financial crimes they’ve committed. This was never an investigation of Hunter Biden. This was always an investigation of Joe Biden.”

Comer noted that three Biden family business associates—Tony Bobulinski, Jason Galanis, and Devon Archer—have said the business enterprises revolved around Joe Biden.

“What we’ve proven, three Biden associates testified under oath that Joe Biden was the central figure in the influence-peddling scheme,” he said.

Another goal of his oversight committee will be to pass legislation to discourage influence peddling by officeholders, the Kentucky Republican said. He compared Biden to Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., who was recently indicted on corruption charges.

“I don’t think the American people approve of that. I don’t think they approve of our president or vice president being for sale,” Comer said. “We are going to try to figure out the best path forward. Then we are going to focus on, from my committee, how to pass legislation to keep the Bidens and the Menendezes from doing this again—because the law is pretty murky.”

Moreover, the House probe into the Biden family’s activities has expanded to include the actions of government agencies.

“What we’ve found in the Biden investigations is there were numerous government agencies that were investigating the Bidens—the Securities and Exchange Commission, FBI, the Department of Justice in several different jurisdictions, the IRS,” Comer said.

“Each time they were told to stand down. So in addition to the financial crimes that we’ve discovered, we found a massive government coverup in many different agencies.’

Witnesses will be trotted out before the House Oversight Committee. These witnesses will support the contention by House Republicans that the Biden Crime Family got paid for doing nothing other than dishing out political favors from then-VP Joe Biden. It will be crystal clear to anyone who’s paying attention that Joe was the product the family was selling. Hunter, James, and their cohorts offered nothing else of value in exchange for a whole lot of money from the highest bidders.

Unfortunately, this will likely bear no real fruit other than score some political points in an election year. That’s it. Neither Hunter nor James are going to jail. The man in the Oval Office will not be removed until either voters take him out in November or Barack Obama replaces him with another puppet before the election.

Conservative media will be aflutter. Corporate media will be bouncing back and forth between debunking and ignoring claims by witnesses and Committee members. Social media will trade clips of “bombshells.” But at the end of the day, nothing of substance will happen.

Such is the way in Washington DC. Depending on who’s in power at the time, Democrats will either act to destroy the nation or Republicans will talk about taking action after the upcoming election. They always delay until the next election. That’s the UniParty Swamp.

In a “groundbreaking” development, former business associates of Hunter Biden are set to testify publicly on Capitol Hill this Wednesday. This marks the beginning of the next phase in the impeachment inquiry against President Biden, as congressional Republicans take the lead.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer is expected to open the hearing by shedding light on a year-long investigation that has unearthed no credible evidence of the Bidens providing any work product. Furthermore, investigators have not identified any legitimate value or documents to support the Bidens’ business partnerships.

Comer will emphasize that the Bidens’ work methodology deviates from traditional norms. They do not function as consultants, lawyers, or advisors; nor do they sell products, services, or skill sets. Instead, the Bidens’ primary asset is Joe Biden himself.

Comer will assert that Joe Biden has consistently taken actions to further his family’s wealth accumulation. He will describe the alleged scam as a simple one: the Bidens promise to resolve foreign partners’ issues by leveraging the U.S. government. This process has been repeated multiple times, with Joe Biden’s power being invoked, subsequently resulting in millions of dollars flowing into the Bidens’ pockets.

Tony Bobulinski, a U.S. Navy veteran, will testify publicly during a joint hearing of the House Oversight and Judiciary committees on Wednesday morning. Jason Galanis, serving a 14-year prison sentence for securities fraud, will also provide testimony, albeit virtually from a minimum-security prison in Alabama.

Democrats have invited Lev Parnas, a former associate of former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, to testify publicly as well.

Comer, in announcing the hearing earlier this month, extended an invitation to Hunter Biden to testify publicly, fulfilling the first son’s repeated requests. However, through his attorney, Abbe Lowell, Hunter Biden rejected the invitation, dismissing the hearing as a “carnival side show.”

Comer also invited Hunter Biden’s former associate, Devon Archer, who is not expected to attend. Comer claims to have “called Hunter Biden’s bluff” by offering a public hearing after the committee had deposed him, as per standard procedure for all witnesses.

During Hunter Biden’s deposition last month, he maintained that his father was never involved in or benefited from his business dealings. The committee also heard testimony from James Biden, the president’s younger brother, who shared the same sentiment.

Hunter Biden did admit to putting his father on speakerphone with business associates and inviting him to business lunches. Archer had previously testified that Hunter Biden put his father on speakerphone at least 20 times with business associates.

Without Hunter and Archer, the hearing will feature Bobulinski, who worked with Hunter Biden to create SinoHawk Holdings, a joint venture with Chinese energy company CEFC. Bobulinski testified behind closed doors that he personally met with Joe Biden for more than 45 minutes in 2017.

Bobulinski also testified that Joe Biden “enabled” his son Hunter to sell access to the U.S.’s “most dangerous adversaries,” including the Chinese Communist Party, Russia, and others.

Galanis’ testimony will also focus on whether Joe Biden was involved in the businesses he worked on with Hunter Biden. Galanis, who was interviewed by congressional investigators last month, testified that Joe Biden was considering joining the board of a joint venture created by Hunter Biden and his business associates with ties to the Chinese Communist Party after he left the vice presidency.

Galanis also mentioned that the phrase “lean in” was used by Devon and Hunter Biden to signify access to Vice President Biden’s political influence.

Democrats have criticized the impeachment investigation as “hopeless,” with Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., the top Democrat on the Oversight Committee, stating that it originated from lies told by an indicted liar in close proximity to Russian agents.

It’s always the Russians.

“The question is whether Joe Biden knew about the influence peddling of his brothers and his son. If so, he actively assisted his family in acquiring millions to influence him on public policy or legislation. His family was effectively marketing time shares in a senator, a vice president and now a president,” he wrote.

“Whether or not Biden delivered, the family business corrupted the functions of government by converting offices into types of commodities. That is the case regardless of whether or not they delivered. It is akin to an extortionist taking money without any intent to follow through on threats of disclosure or use of damaging material. Even in today’s willfully blind politics, every voter should be able to agree on two simple facts.

“First, influence peddling is corruption long opposed by the government and denounced by both parties.

“Second, if the president knew that his son and uncles were using him for influence peddling, Joe Biden is also corrupt.”

Turley, the J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at the George Washington University Law School, noted the “Biden family legal problems continue to mount.”

He cited reports Joe Biden’s brother James was caught on an FBI audiotape in a corruption investigation, while Ashley Biden, the president’s daughter, is now also facing demands for unpaid taxes.

He noted James Biden is expected soon to testify before the House investigators looking into Biden family corruption, and that occasion may “solidify a new line of defense for the Bidens: that they are harmless grifters.”

“After years of denying influence peddling with the help of an obligating media, even some Democrats are now admitting that Hunter and his uncles have been selling influence. Biden associates confirmed that Joe Biden was the brand that they were peddling to foreign clients, who paid millions to the family,” he explained.

The James Biden affair illustrates the operations, he explained.

It happened during an investigation into lawyer Richard Scruggs, who later went to prison.

“Scruggs forked over $100,000 to James Biden when he was seeking to reinforce support for the massive tobacco legislation and Joe Biden was viewed as skeptical on what some viewed as a windfall for trial lawyers,” Turley explained.

In fact, Scruggs admitted James Biden was “hired” because he was Joe Biden’s brother.

When the tape was revealed, the Bidens immediately produced a “new defense. James Biden took the money but allegedly did nothing to land his brother.”

In fact, Biden defenders now say the Bidens took money, but their help was “illusory.”

“In other words, these corrupt figures wanted to buy influence and access, but they were just chumps fleeced by the Bidens,” he wrote. “It is a curious defense that we are not corrupt because we just ripped off dupes who were corrupt people.”

He said, however, the bottom line is that “influence peddling is a form of corruption.”

He said the case will come down to “what the president knew about his family’s influence peddling and when he knew it.”

“It is highly implausible that the president did not know about the influence peddling,” he explained.

And he pointed out Joe Biden likely already likely has lost the fight, as “roughly 70 percent of voters (including 40 percent of Democrats) believes that President Biden acted illegally or unethically, or both.”

That’s according to James E. Campbell, a UB Distinguished Professor of Political Science at the University of Buffalo-SUNY, who wrote at Real Clear Wire that the “evidence” of the influence-peddling operation “is abundant.”

“It includes emails, text messages, bank reports, testimonies, and much more,” he wrote, citing multiple compilations of evidence, evidence from both domestic and offshore banks, thousands of emails, direct testimony and more.

“The principal fact is that during Joe Biden’s two terms as vice president, the influence of his public office was sold to governments and nationals in at least four countries to the tune of at least $20 million,” he said. “The dubious nature of these transactions triggered more than 170 Suspicious Activity Reports from U.S. banks. These funds were deposited in 20 Biden-family shell corporations, then distributed to as many as nine different family members, including some of President Biden’s grandchildren. The scandal is not wild speculation.”

He said, “The corruption appears to be real and extensive.”

So what remains to determine is “whether Biden personally knew of and participated in this enterprise. … Impeachment should turn on this question. Was the influence-peddling scandal conducted without his knowledge and involvement – just the ‘illusion of access’ being sold by Biden family members, or did he knowingly take part in it – turning influence-peddling into bribery solicitation?”

He said the latter warrants impeachment.

Already, he said, Joe Biden “shows up in the evidence quite often – in emails and texts, at dinners and elsewhere with ‘clients’ of the business, on international travel excursions with Hunter, in visits to the White House and VP’s residence … golf outings, and elsewhere, and in the testimonies of whistleblowers, associates, and a big client (the Burisma executive who says he paid Joe Biden $5 million).”

He said the most damning evidence against Joe Biden is his bragging “about his success in getting a prosecutor in Ukraine fired” by threatening the Ukraine government that he would block a billion dollar aid package to the country if they did not fire the prosecutor.

The company, Burisma, was at the time paying Hunter Biden some $1 million a year to be on the board, but testimony has suggested the goal of having Hunter on the payroll was for him to use his influence with his father to get the prosecutor investigating Burisma removed.

Here’s Joe Biden bragging about doing that:

Campbell noted, “Presumably, he had no inkling at the time it would later become known that Burisma desperately wanted the prosecutor fired and paid the Bidens handsomely to that end. Based on the evidence in hand, Burisma put up the bribe ‘quid,’ Vice President Biden delivered the ‘quo,’ and essentially admitted to that in public. President Trump was impeached for merely asking Ukraine’s President Zelensky to look into this.”

He cited other evidence, “Hunter’s ‘laptop from hell’ included an email with the distribution of the take from a deal with an energy company in China.” And other laptop evidence, such as Hunter’s message, “… don’t worry, unlike Pop, I won’t make you give me half your salary.” And the reference to 10% for the “Big Guy.”

And the nine Biden family members who got money from the scheme.

“This would seem to offer at least a partial answer to the president’s mocking question: ‘Where’s the money?’ His family may be getting a bit of their inheritance early. But beyond the distribution itself, it might be enlightening to know how each of these family members reacted to these gifts? Did they understand where it was coming from? Did they ask about it, and what were they told and by whom?”

And whether it’s possible that Biden was in the dark about the operations.

“These facts crowd out reasonable doubt.”

“Can we believe that Joe’s son and brother, Hunter and Jim, two devoted members of the tight-knit Biden family, would have (or could have) both been so reckless as to have undertaken an extensive, long-running, and politically dangerous influence-peddling scheme on their own, without having Joe’s approval? ”

Former IRS special agent Joseph Ziegler—a Democrat who identifies himself as a gay married man—previously gave  anonymous testimony to the House Ways and Mean Committee.

In new testimony Wednesday, Ziegler made his identity known to the House Oversight and Accountability Committee during a hearing on why a five-year investigation recently produced a Justice Department plea agreement with Hunter Biden.

“People are saying that I must be more credible because I’m a Democrat who happens to be married to a man. I’m no more credible than this man sitting next to me, due to my sexual orientation or my political beliefs,” Ziegler told the committee in opening remarks, referring to IRS colleague and supervisor Gary Shapley, the panel’s other witness.

“The truth is, my credibility comes today from my job experience with the IRS and my intimate knowledge of the agency’s standard and procedures,” he said.

Earlier this month, U.S. Attorney for Delaware David Weiss reached a plea deal with Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, to charge him on two misdemeanor tax charges and a suspended sentence for lying on a gun purchase form.

This came after IRS investigators and federal prosecutors had previously determined that the younger Biden should face felony charges, Ziegler said.

“As I read the public documents of the Department of Justice action against Hunter Biden, there is nothing [saying] that Hunter Biden will be required to amend his false tax return for 2018—a false tax return that includes improper deductions for prostitutes, sex clubs, and his adult children’s tuition,” Ziegler said.

The two IRS whistleblowers said in previous testimony that Weiss–appointed by then-President Donald Trump and kept on board by the Biden administration for this probe—sought special counsel status.

This development came after federal prosecutors appointed by President Joe Biden in Washington, D.C., and California refused requests from Weiss to bring charges against Hunter Biden in those jurisdictions. Although Weiss said in a letter to House members that he had independence in the probe, he said in a follow-up letter that he didn’t have prosecutorial power outside his jurisdiction.

“While the impression has been conveyed by the U.S. attorney in Delaware that he has similar powers to that of a special counsel on this case, free rein to do as needed, that was not the case,” Ziegler told lawmakers. “It appeared to me, based on what I experienced, that the U.S. attorney in Delaware in our investigation was constantly hamstrung, limited, and marginalized by DOJ officials, as well as other U.S. attorneys. I still think that a special counsel is necessary for this investigation.”

Ziegler also talked about his personal experience.

“I was raised, and have always strived, to do what is right. Although I do have my supporters, others have said that I am a traitor to the Democratic Party and that I am causing more division in our society,” he told the committee. “I implore you to consider that if you were in my position with the facts as I have stated them, ask yourself if you would be doing the exact same thing. I hope that I am an example to other LGBTQ people out there who are questioning doing the right thing at the potential cost to themselves and others.”

Ziegler added that he is “risking my career, my reputation, and my casework outside the investigation we are here to discuss.”

“I ultimately made the decision to come forward after what I believe were multiple attempts at blowing the whistle at the Internal Revenue Service,” he said. “No one should be above the law, regardless of your political affiliation.”

Shapley, Ziegler’s colleague, already had spoken in public interviews with media and in testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee. Shapley said he had to come forward after he saw the Justice Department cross a “red line,” explaining:

The Justice Department allowed the president’s political appointees to weigh in on whether to charge the president’s son. After the United States attorney for D.C., Matthew Graves, appointed by President Biden, refused to bring charges in March 2022, I watched United States Attorney Weiss tell a room full of senior FBI and IRS senior leaders on Oct. 7, 2022, that he was not the deciding person on whether charges were filed. That was my red line.

Hunter Biden’s cocaine story was concocted. It’s believable because nobody, not even Biden supporters, would be surprised to hear that Hunter brought drugs into the White House. He’s a degenerate criminal who films himself committing disgusting acts while knowing there will be no repercussions because he’s protected by a high ranking globalist puppet, his father.

That’s why the spin doctors for the Biden Crime Family decided on this story as the latest one to distract from the massive crimes that are… or should be… getting exposed. Bribes. Influence peddling. Outright treason. The crimes are serious and they go all the way to the top with Joe and Jill. That’s why Hunter’s being used as the scapegoat.

The art of making a story disappear is multifaceted. There isn’t one size that fits all situations. Those who engage in this art in the political realm assess the situation and determine whether they should ignore, deny, or distract. Ignoring is easy. We’ve heard many politicians engaged in minor scandals say they “won’t dignify the accusation by addressing it.”

Denial is the most common tactic. Watch White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre in any of her press briefings to see that even the least skilled orators can deny anything with a straight face if they have enough incentive.

Distracting is the option used in worst-case scenarios. When they can’t ignore a story because it’s too big and denying it won’t work because of the weight of evidence, the last resort is to mitigate damage by offering up something juicier while the original story fades away.

I regret using the word “gullible” in the Tweet. It’s not that anyone who wants to talk about Hunter’s cocaine is necessarily gullible. It’s that the story is more enjoyable to talk about AND hear about for conservatives. As someone who absorbs the constant onslaught of political, cultural, and religious news that is predominantly bad, I can understand the need for “lighter” stories. It’s easy and, for some, fun to discuss the idiotic actions of the idiotic son of the idiot installed into the Oval Office by a bunch of idiots.

But here’s the thing, and there’s really no way around this. The Biden Crime Family is in the process of being exposed for treasonous acts both past and present. They took bribes in exchange for influence at the highest levels of American government. While conservative and alternative media are spending time attacking Hunter Biden over cocaine, we’re not alerting the public about the most impeachable crimes ever committed by a president.

The bribery stories (yes, plural) alone are exponentially bigger than Watergate or Trump’s harmless call with Volodymyr Zelensky. Beyond the bribery we have other massive crimes that should be coming to light, but instead we’re being fed story after story after story that are deemed by corporate media as more important than a demonstrably corrupt president. And when corporate media talks about things, most in conservative media pick up on it and “correct” them for not getting the stories right.

Distract. Rinse. Repeat.

Whether it’s aliens or a fake Russian coup, the latest Deep-State-prompted mass shooting or some celebrities getting divorced, there will always be stories popping up one after another that keep us from talking about the things that really matter.

It wasn’t too long ago when cocaine in the White House would be truly newsworthy. Those were simpler times and the stakes were far lower than they are today. As much as I’d love the relief of living in that world again, I feel it’s a blessing to be living in these crazy times instead. We’re all here right now for a reason. Let’s not waste it by consuming the fodder.

As I noted before the indictment announcement, the radical left has the will to play as dirty as they please while patriots try to play by a set of rules. It won’t work.

To any skeptics who think the timing is just a coincidence like all of the other properly timed news releases over the past decade or so, let me clue you in. The indictment has no meaningful shelf life. They’ve been sitting on it for weeks. They sit on many stories that can be leaked or released when they need a bad story to get buried. This is what happens every single time.

Imagine being naive enough to believe that the Biden Bribe evidence and Trump indictment happening the same day was a coincidence.

After failing to produce subpoenaed documents, the FBI proceeded to have meetings with Comer and the Oversight Committee. During these meetings, they continued to refuse to deliver the necessary documents that many believe would implicate the current President of the United States in a series of influence peddling schemes.

So, we got another letter dropped late on a Friday in hopes that nobody notices.

Do you know who drops harshly worded letters making feckless demands late on a Friday afternoon? Unserious people who aren’t really trying to protect the American people. This is garbage.

A common tactic used for “news cycle control” is to properly time their actions or releases to happen when other news they don’t want covered is being released. The best example I’ve seen of this was the leak of Donald Trump’s “grab them by the *****” video. It was absolutely not a coincidence that the video was released the same day that Hillary Clinton’s and John Podesta’s damning campaign emails were dropped by Wikileaks.

Today, we witnessed another prime example of news cycle control. Congressman George Santos was arrested just as the House Oversight Committee was dropping revelations about the Biden Crime Family. As a result, the only major corporate media outlets that has the far-bigger Biden story as their headline is Fox News. CNN, MSNBC, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, NY Times, Washington Post, and a dozen other outlets I checked have the revelations dropped by the GOP either buried or completely absent. The Santos arrest is the headline story for all of them.

I’ll never understand the stupidity of the feckless GOP on Capitol Hill for announcing their intentions on Sunday. They had the goods on Biden at that point. Why schedule a press conference three days later knowing it would get blacked out and ignored? It’s hard to tell whether they were being idiotic or doing it like that intentionally so only their base would hear the news. It could be both. It’s probably both.

As Shawn Fleetwood at The Federalist noted:

It’s amazing how the arrest of Santos came at the exact same moment Republicans on the House Oversight Committee held a press conference documenting the Biden family’s overseas business ventures. Announced earlier this week, Wednesday morning’s presser revealed bank records showing how the Bidens and their associates created a network of more than 20 companies and received “at least $10 million … from foreign nationals’ and their related companies.”

According to the records obtained by House Republicans, most of these 20 companies were purportedly LLCs and created when Biden occupied the vice president’s office. The money trafficked to the Bidens came from several different countries, including China and Romania.

“While VP Biden was lecturing Romania on anti-corruption policies, he served as a walking billboard for his son & family to collect money. Hunter & his associates capitalized on a lucrative financial relationship with a Romanian national who was later convicted of corruption,” the House Oversight Committee revealed in a Twitter thread. “The Bidens received over $1 million for the Romania deal, with 16 of the 17 payments made during Biden’s VP term. The money stops flowing from Romania soon after Joe Biden leaves office, establishing a pattern of influence peddling.”

Despite the newsworthiness of House Republicans’ bombshell revelations, regime-approved media outlets seemingly couldn’t be bothered to cover the event. While Fox News took the Oversight Committee’s presser live, networks such as MSNBC, CNN, and even C-SPAN reportedly blacked out livestream coverage of the event.

My role as Editor at The Liberty Daily and Discern Report means I have to read through 1500-2500 headlines per day. Of those, I read dozens of articles and watch countless videos. My daily routine gives me a unique perspective about the way narrative control is unleashed upon us constantly.

This is why it is extremely important that patriots pro-actively share content from alternative news sources that are not beholden to corporate interests. Even many of the so-called “conservative” outlets are simply mouthpieces for the right-leaning side of the Uniparty Swamp coin. They may keep patriots hooked with decent stories here and there, but they’ll invariably use their massive reach to spread propaganda on behalf of the powers-that-be. Think of Fox News and the Washington Examiner as examples.

Please leave a comment about good news sites, blogs, Substacks, video channels, or anywhere else you think patriot should be visiting regularly to get the real news.
