Conspiracy Theories – American Conservative Movement https://americanconservativemovement.com American exceptionalism isn't dead. It just needs to be embraced. In fact, I come across nonsense all the time that is flat out false.  In this day and age, deception is coming at us from all angles, and it is so important to think critically.  Just because someone says that something is true does not make it true.  And just because someone says that something is false does not make it false.

Ultimately, we all need to do our own research and come to our own conclusions.  In this article, I will discuss 3 “conspiracy theories” which have just been confirmed.

#1 Mainstream Media Organizations Really Did Use Video Footage And Photographs From Reporters That Were Embedded With Hamas On October 7th

There were “photojournalists” that were embedded with Hamas forces during the October 7th terror attacks, and major news organizations in the United States used “footage and photos” from those “photojournalists” in their coverage of the events…

The latest ghoulish development following the slaughter of 1,400 Jews in the Oct. 7 Israeli attack on Israel is quite a shocker.

The AP, CNN, Reuters, and The New York Times used footage and photos from reporters embedded with Hamas terrorists during their slaughter of hundreds of Jews.

These Western media outlets then posted the photos in their coverage of this horrendous surprise attack on Israel.

Just when it seems like the mainstream media can’t sink any lower, somehow they find a way to do so.

So did any of these news organizations have advance knowledge that the attacks were going to take place?

Now that this story has gotten out, the Israeli government “is demanding answers”

The Israeli government is demanding answers from western media outlets including CNN, Reuters, The Associated Press and The New York Times following a media watchdog report that suggested freelance photographers they each hired may have been embedded with Hamas on October 7th.

The issue – highlighted by Honest Reporting – concerns four freelance photographers from Gaza whose works have been published by the media outlets.

One of the “photojournalists” that has been identified is a man named Hassan Eslaiah.

In one video, he can be seen riding toward the site of a massacre with a grenade in his hand

There is now video of Hassan Eslaiah riding the back of a bike on the way to a kibbutz massacre.

Eslaiah is seen carrying a grenade.

It certainly appears that Hassan Eslaiah wasn’t just there to report on the attacks.

Needless to say, the mainstream news outlets that had worked with these “photojournalists” are denying any prior knowledge of the attacks and it is being reported that they have cut all ties with them

All four outlets deny having any prior knowledge of the Hamas attack and insist they have cut ties with the reporters. The New York Times today hit out at Honest Reporting for its ‘vague insinuations’, defending the photographer it had hired.

But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other cabinet ministers are demanding more information.

Hopefully this story will not be brushed under the rug, because we definitely need more answers.

#2 When A Major Sex Trafficking Operation Gets Busted, None Of The Powerful Men That Paid For Sex Is Held Accountable

Have you noticed that none of Jeffrey Epstein’s clients was ever charged with anything?

Jeffrey Epstein arranged for very powerful men to sleep with underage girls for many years, and yet not a single one of those men has ever been held accountable by our courts. And of course Jeffrey Epstein is no longer around to point a finger at anyone. Well, now a similar case is making news.

Authorities have arrested three men that were running “high-end brothels” in Massachusetts and Virginia…

A network of “sophisticated” high-end brothels in greater Boston and eastern Virginia provided sex for pay to “elected officials, high tech and pharmaceutical executives, doctors, military officers, government contractors that possess security clearances, professors,” and others, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.

“Pick a profession, they are probably represented in this case,” said acting U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Joshua Levy at a press conference announcing the arrests of three people in connection with operating the pricey sex shops.

During the investigation, it was discovered that all potential clients of the brothel were required to provide very specific identifying information

Any potential “client” was required to complete a form on the websites with their names, email address, phone number and employer in a so-called verification process before proceeding. After verification and conversation with the brothel via phone, prosecutors say that the sex buyers agreed to meet at various places described as “Target Locations,” or high-end apartments.

Authorities now have all of this information, and they are telling us that the list of clients includes a lot of very powerful men

Prosecutors say that the high-end brothel network serviced customers working in the following professions: “politicians, pharmaceutical executives, doctors, military officers, government contractors that possess security clearances, professors, lawyers, business executives, technology company executives, scientists, accountants, retail employees, and students.”

Do you know what this means? It means that the authorities know exactly who they are. But will any of them ever actually go to trial? I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one.

#3 The Location Of Noah’s Ark

For decades, we have known that the Durupinar formation contains the remains of Noah’s Ark.If you are not familiar with the Durupinar formation, you can read what Wikipedia has to say about it right here. The formation is the correct size and shape of Noah’s Ark according to the Bible, and scans of the formation have shown that the Ark is down there.

Now, a team of researchers from universities in the United States and Turkey are telling us what they discovered after they “spent roughly a year analyzing the rock and soil” in the area.

According to the researchers, their tests show that “humans were living at the site” approximately 5,000 years ago…

Scientists excavating a large boat-shaped mound in the eastern mountains of Turkey have announced their tests on the rock and soil samples they collected at the site indicate humans were living at the site 5,000 years ago—the same time frame that some biblical scholars link to the Great Flood from the Bible’s Old Testament book of Genesis.

The research team from three Turkish and American universities has been investigating the theory that the geologic formation is actually the ruins of Noah’s Ark.

According to the test results, there were human activities in the region from 5,550 to 3,000 BC, according to Arkeonews. The mound exists in the Ararat region which was known as Urartu in the ancient past.

My hope is that they will fully excavate the site as soon as possible.

But even if the remains of Noah’s Ark are fully unveiled for all the world to see, a lot of people will still refuse to believe that it is true. And that is because most people simply believe whatever they want to believe whether the evidence supports it or not.

In my brand new book entitled “Chaos”, I share some absolutely jaw-dropping research that shows that the God of the Bible really is the one true God that created all things. Some people will read the book and will be persuaded.

Others will go to great lengths to imagine reasons why what I have written cannot be true.

In the end, we all get to choose what we want to believe.

But whether you want to believe it or not, the truth is that God really has been orchestrating celestial events and the course of human history for thousands of years.

Michael’s new book entitled “Chaos” is now available in paperback and for the Kindle on Amazon.com, and you can check out his new Substack newsletter right here.

The Silenced: A Tribute to Those Who Were Killed While Trying to Expose the Truth https://americanconservativemovement.com/the-silenced-a-tribute-to-those-who-were-killed-while-trying-to-expose-the-truth/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/the-silenced-a-tribute-to-those-who-were-killed-while-trying-to-expose-the-truth/#comments Thu, 18 May 2023 06:30:32 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=192704 The label “conspiracy theorist” is usually used as a pejorative. Following the JFK assassination, the CIA established a gaslighting and brainwashing campaign to demonize those that question the official narrative. Thus, the term “conspiracy theorist” has been normalized to represent a tinfoil-hat-wearing lunatic.

The reality is quite the opposite in most cases. Objectively, there are conspiracies in this world that are kept secret from the public and the only thing we have to describe them are theories. But as we’ve learned time and again, many of these theories have been proven to be partially or even completely accurate.

One does not have to think Paul McCartney was killed in the 1960s and replaced by a doppelganger to keep the Beatles going in order to be a conspiracy theorist. One needs only to recognize that the various forces of darkness will do whatever it takes to move their machinations forward from the shadows.

Twitter user TheThe1776 put together an incredible thread that highlights many of those who have died in recent years while exposing evil. Invariably, these deaths have been covered up, but the truth is known by some. It’s important that we remember these people and the missions they were on when they were killed. Here’s the thread:

1)This thread is to HONOR the heroes who were Permanently silenced for trying to expose sex trafficking, organ harvesting, and/or Pedogate.
They are #GoneButNotForgotten and may they RIP🙏🏼#KilleryIsTheMostEvilPersonOnThePlanet

Also thanking the Heroes who continue fighting to help exposed Child Sex Trafficking while rescuing Children from being Trafficked may God continue to protect them and keep them safe🙏🏼#SaveTheChildren #EndSexTrafficking

2) Nancy Schaefer exposed Child Sex Trafficking and the real truth behind Child Protective Services: “I will share with you on the unlimited power of Child Protective Service. I served in the Georgia State Senate and after four years of viewing the ruthless and unsparing actions of Child Protective Services..I wrote a scathing report entitled The Corrupt Business of Child Protective Services. The report cost me my Senate seat However there are causes worth losing over, and this is one.” In Nancy’s speeches, she talked about children being removed from their homes for profit due to incentives from the state. In 1997 Bill Clinton passed a bill called the “Adoption and Safe Families Act.” It offers financial incentives from the state that increase adoption numbers. Nancy says “To receive the adoption incentives or bonuses, local CPS must have more children, they must have more merchandise to sell. Funding is available when a child is placed in a foster home with strangers, or placed in a mental health facility and medicated usually against the parents wishes. Parents are victimized by the system, that makes a profit for holding children longer and bonuses for not returning children to their parents. This is abuse of power. It is lack of accountability and it is a growing criminal political phenomenon spreading around the globe…” This corruption needs to be exposed because Many families have been destroyed for their profit! R.I.P. Nancy Schaefer🙏🏼

3) Ted Gunderson is an EX-FBI chief and whistleblower. He exposed:

    • Satanism in the CIA
    • Chemtrails are real
    • Terrorists attacks and 9/11 are done by our own government
    • Drug running
    • MK Ultra mind control
    • The IllumiNATTI

This was why he was silenced… R.I.P. Ted Gunderson🙏🏼

4) Andrew Breitbart died shortly after revealing John Podesta and associates to be monsters. He brought attention to the pedophile networks ran by the Podesta Brothers and Clinton. And also during a CPAC, Breitbart revealed that he had acquired damning tapes of Obama at Harvard.

5) Michael Hastings was exposing pedogate, leading to the firing of General McChrystal. All linked to Clinton and Podesta.

6) Paul Walker co-founded Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW) in 2010 which is a nonprofit that helps bring first responders to disaster area. Paul was set to come forward to expose the Clinton Foundations crimes against children in Haiti which he had discovered through his charity work.

7) Steve Elmendorf, worked for Monsanto, sent an email to John Podesta three days before Scalia was found dead, 2/13/16, after a party. It mentions “wetworks”, code for assassination. Removing Scalia opened a Supreme Court seat, and allowed Monsanto to go unchallenged.

8) Seth Rich was a DNC insider, NOT a Russian hacker. An anonymous source named Guccifer 2.0 said to have released information to Wikileaks regarding the Podesta Files, and later stated the information was from Seth Rich, who was working at the Democratic party at the time. During the 2016 Presidential election, the Clintons illegally laundered millions of large donations from Hollywood and foreign Clinton Foundation donors via DNC to the Clinton Campaign. The scheme required the manufacture of voter and donor data to break the donations up into thousands of smaller $2,700 chunks, the maximum allowed by law, to appear legal. Seth Rich’s job gave him access to this data. The July 2016 Wikileaks DNC email leaks consist of emails from only 7 DNC execs. 5 of the 7 were in charge of DNC Finance Operations and the illegal Clinton Campaign money laundering scheme. Seth Rich wanted to expose this corruption and give Bernie Sanders a fighting chance. Exposing these Federal campaign finance law violations would’ve brought Federal charges that would have destroyed Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

9) Chris Cornell had a Foundation with his wife Vicky that was set up to help neglected children and also worked with a number of charities that worked with children rescued from child trafficking networks. During his charitable work, Chris Cornell had discovered a “black book” of names for an Elite pedophile ring that was part of a global child abuse network. Sources close to Cornell revealed that he was planning on going public with the names shortly before he was found dead. Chris also worked with the Clinton Administration on a CPP service out of Haiti that was later found out to be a human trafficking ring. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Cornell’s death a suicide by hanging, but his autopsy report showed that he had head trauma and 9 cracked ribs. With 9 cracked ribs it would be impossible for Chris to performed the night of his death. He was in the middle of a tour w/Soundgarden & more importantly he would NEVER leave his kids behind.

10) Chester Bennington worked with Chris Cornell to expose pedophilia leading to Podesta and Clinton. He died in the same manner as Chris Cornell, Kate Spade, Anthony Bourdain and a few other who were all hung on doorknob. There are rumors that Chester was John Podesta illegitimate son. Oddly, Lawrence Rockefeller, John Podesta and Chester Bennington resemblance is uncanny🤔.

11) Barry founded Apotex, a manufacturer of generic drugs, specifically HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE. Also a drug company that supplied medications to Haiti and Puerto Rico, through the Clinton Foundation.

12) After his death, it emerged that Avicii was working to expose the music industry and the worldwide pedophile ring. Avicii was known to be incredibly generous and donated millions of dollars towards hunger relief, sex trafficking, and gang violence. One of his videos began to recirculate in which he attempts to expose child trafficking.

13) Kate Spade sold her company in 2006 to raise her daughter, before launching another fashion design venture in 2015, “Frances Valentine”. Kate Spade a famous designer who had worked with the Clinton Foundation in the No Ceilings Initiative and did work in Haiti for Hillary. Kate’s daughter had become a target, and that’s why she was ready to name names and speak out. Anthony Bourdain June 8 and Inés Zorreguieta June 9 were found hanging in the same week Kate Spade was. The three murders are connected. All of these people were involved in exposing child sex trafficking .

14) Ines Zorreguieta is best known as the baby sister of Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. Ines was a psychologist who worked as a researcher for the United Nations and Argentina’s Ministry of Social Development. She was an official of the National Secretariat for Children, Youth, and Family. After her father died, Ines Zorreguieta decided to clean and make some inventory of his properties, and what she found would be instrumental in her demise. Ines accidentally found a video gallery and blackmail vault. These films exposed several HUGE political figures from the ’70s and ’80s raping women and children on film.

15) Anthony Bourdain TV show made emphasis in showing the tragedies of war and genocide, especially when visiting violence-afflicted nations. Many suspect he was murdered because he went hard after the Clinton crime syndicate challenging their hypocrisy with Harvey Weinstein and Haiti. Chris Cornell met with Anthony Bourdain backstage at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in April 2017. They discussed Chris’s involvement in “The Promise” a film about the Armenian genocide. He was shedding light on pedogate and Armenian Genocide in a newer episode of his show, but what sealed his fate was witnessing the rape and murder of a young boy at Le Chateau Marmont at the hands of Adam Schiff. Bourdain’s ‘suicide’ 3 days after fashion designer Kate Spade ‘suicide’. Like Bourdain, Spade was also found hanging from a doorknob.

16) In 2018 Natacha Jaitt went live on television and exposed a Pedophile Ring that was made up of members of high level of society! (Journalists, politicians, actors, religious figures and TV producers). She accused Gustavo Vera and Carlos Pagni of being the biggest human traffickers in the country. One player denounced four phone numbers used to pay children to have sex with adults. She later testified to the prosecutor of the Office of Avellaneda, which led to seven people detained. She was in fear for her life, even going to the extent of claiming, “I will not commit suicide. I won’t be bought off or drown in a bathtub, nor will I shoot myself in the head. So, if that happens, IT WASN’T ME.” after that she died of an overdose. Natacha was not only denouncing recent crimes, but she was also getting intel from Ines Zorreguieta and was very public about her knowledge about the films that her friend Ines Zorreguieta found. Even after the murder of her friends, she was brave and relentless. Thanks to her, there were results out of an investigation about the sexual abuse of minors at Independiente in 2018. They were both friends with famous DJ Avicii, who was murdered on April 20, 2018. Avicii was in contact with Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington, and Anthony Bourdain. These men were all murdered and set up to look like suicides by hanging.

17) Joao Teixeira de Faria aka John of God was Bill Clinton’s ‘faith healer’ and was promoted as a ‘faith healer’ by Oprah Winfrey. His world was toppled with allegations from one of his patients. Zahira Lieneke Mous a Dutch dance choreographer. also his own daughter, Dalva Teixeira called him a “monster” and claiming he molested her as a child. Since then, over 300 women worldwide have joined in Brazil’s first #MeToo scandal. Faria was arrested because of Sabrina Bittencourt investigations of Faria’s sexual assaults. She said he was running a sex slave farm and a baby trafficking operation. The young girls were sex slaves and forced to birth multiple babies and then murdered after 10 years of captivity. These babies were then sold on a worldwide black market to childless couples for $20,000 – $50,000 each. Sabrina Bittencourt was abused herself, from age 4 by members of the Mormon church family. At 16, she became pregnant by one of her rapists and aborted. Sabrina had dedicated her life to helping victims of abuse. Her main focus was sexual abuse by religious leaders such as Prem Baba and “John of God”. In a video interview with the editor of CartaCapital, she promised to unmask 13 more religious leaders. It is hard to believe that she would commit suicide when she had 13 other prominent religious leaders to expose for sexual abuses and her eldest son Gabriel Baum confirmed her death, writing on Facebook: “She took the last step so that we could live. They killed my mother.”

18) Isaac Kappy was an Actor. On May 13, 2019 they said Kappy committed suicide by jumping off an overpass into oncoming traffic in Arizona. Isaac Kappy did not kill himself. There are videos where he says he’s not suicidal. He was murdered for exposing the truth about people in Hollywood being in a pedophile blackmail “cult” and were involved in human trafficking, pedophilia, cannibalism, satanic torture.

19) Robert David Steele chief consultant of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Human Trafficking and Child Sex Abuse was red-pilling the masses and exposed human trafficking, child pedophilia, the SATANIC Elite governments around the world, and killed and sacrificed to the devil for reasons of power. He was a man on a mission which frighten the US intelligence establishment to its core. The CIA wasn’t happy and ensured that Steele was prohibited from running a second conference. The clash prompted him to resign from his position as second-ranking civilian in Marine Corps intelligence, and pursue the open source paradigm elsewhere. He went on to found and head up the Open Source Solutions Network Inc. and later the non-profit Earth Intelligence Network which runs the Public Intelligence Blog.

20) Anne Heche reportedly got a red wig from a store 25 min before she crashed trying to run away from someone. Anne Heche was not impaired by illicit substances at time of crash, coroner says. Toxicology results detected the presence of drugs given to the actor while she was hospitalized but not at the time of her car crash. Investigators told ABC News no alcohol was detected in Heche’s blood sample. Anne Heche had finished work on a movie, which looks into the dark underworld of the human trafficking industry. She Exposed the business of the Pedophile by wanting to talk about it and she knew more than she should!

21) Ghislaine Maxwell owned a compound in La Orchila, Venezuela. Musicians Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington were about to expose some of their friends and acquaintances. The people they were exposing participated in the same human trafficking rings involving Jeffrey Epstein and James Alefantis.
Isn’t it interesting that Chris Cornell, Chester Bennington, Avicii, and Anthony Bourdain all committed suicide while working on a documentary called “The Silent Children”. Chris Cornell was the main financial backer for the documentary “The Silent Children” about child sex trafficking. After he died, the project was cancelled. Chester Bennington band Linkin Park was going to contribute music.

Take what you will from this thread. Believe all of it. Believe some of it. But if you believe none of it, then you should probably go back to watching CNN or Fox News for your safe dose of lies.

In Defense of “Crazy” Conspiracy Theories https://americanconservativemovement.com/in-defense-of-crazy-conspiracy-theories/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/in-defense-of-crazy-conspiracy-theories/#comments Mon, 07 Nov 2022 09:38:16 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=184629 Conspiracy theories. What to some is a sign of critical thinking is, to others, a sign of dangerous insubordination.

I was taught by my father that a good argument can stand up to criticism and that finding someone who disagreed was a fine way to test your theory. I’ve never been too bothered when folks disagree with me. In fact, I’m eager to know why. I want to learn whether or not I’m missing something. But these days, it seems that I’m in the minority.

The “danger” of conspiracy theories

The term has long been used in a derogatory fashion to belittle the ideas of a person who doesn’t necessarily accept that everything can be taken at face value.  These days, it’s used to denote a train of thought that is downright dangerous, even an existential threat to civil society.

What’s everyone so afraid of?

Normies – folks who aren’t big questions of the status quo – used to just shake their heads and smile at the “quirky” conspiracy theorist in their life. They considered it a harmless past-time, an eccentricity.

However, now we have the media breathlessly warning people of the innate deadly danger of conspiracy theories and the people who espouse them. Outright FEAR is being stoked. Let’s take a closer look.

The FBI warning

Back in 2019, the FBI said that conspiracy theories posed a domestic terrorism threat:

“The FBI assesses anti-government, identity based, and fringe political conspiracy theories very likely motivate some domestic extremists, wholly or in part, to commit criminal and sometimes violent activity,” the document said. “The FBI further assesses in some cases these conspiracy theories very likely encourage the targeting of specific people, places, and organizations, thereby increasing the likelihood of violence against these targets.”

The document continued to say that the bureau reached its conclusion “with high confidence” and based on information it obtained from other federal agencies, open source information, court documents, FBI investigations, and human sources.

Yep, this is the same FBI whose own documents concluded that they had investigated the Trump campaign without justification. The one whose director was caught violating DOJ policies and breaking protocol in a lackluster investigation of Hillary Clinton’s emails.

Pardon me if I’m not too worried about what the FBI thinks.

The academic warning

Then we have the people who consider themselves smarter than the rest of us: the academics. The website “The Conversation” boasts that their content “is written by university scholars and researchers with deep expertise in their subjects, sharing their knowledge in their own words.”

So it must be true, right?

Anyway, a postdoctoral research fellow in philosophy warns us of the “dangers” of conspiracy theories. He kindly dumbs it down for the peons by comparing it to “the floor is lava.”

When a child declares that “the floor is lava,” few if any believe the declaration. But that child, and others, begin to act as if the declaration were true. Those who do may clamber onto furniture, and repeat the declaration to others who enter the space. Some children play just for fun, some play to show off their climbing and jumping skills, and some play to appease the child who initiated the game.

Some kids quickly tire of the game and wish to stop playing, but like or respect the child who initiated the game, and don’t want to upset that person by stopping. As the game progresses, some take it too seriously. Furniture is damaged, and some get injured while attempting to leap from one raised surface to another. The lava is fake, but real things get broken.

More seriously, when Donald Trump claimed that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged,” some officials and ordinary citizens acted accordingly. Whether out of sincere belief, partisanship, loyalty to Trump or financial opportunism, many Americans behaved as if the 2020 election was unfairly decided.

Some people acting as if the election conspiracy theory were true assembled in Washington, D.C., some stormed the Capitol building and, behind the scenes, some developed a scheme to submit fake slates of electors supporting Trump’s reelection despite his loss at the ballot box. The people involved in these activities could count on the support of others who endorsed the rigged election claim, even if these endorsements were largely insincere.

The costs of acting as if the 2020 election were rigged are no doubt greater than those for acting as if the floor is lava. The costs of acting as if the 2020 election were rigged led to millions of dollars worth of damage to the Capitol building, led to hundreds of arrests for Capitol rioters, led to multiple deaths and imperiled American democracy.

My goodness, that’s a lot of rhetoric, isn’t it?

I guess he missed that documentary 2000 Mules, huh? Of course, a journalist on NPR said that 2000 Mules is a “wild tale” and a “conspiracy theory” with “absolutely no evidence.” Heck, it’s downright “extremism.”

But the film is the latest in a long line of movies that use the tropes and signifiers of documentaries to gain credibility. In recent years, documentary style films about the 2020 election, the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines have spread conspiracy theories and recycled debunked lies.

“Documentaries have been used for decades to try to make bad actors and folks who are trying to push conspiracies or push disinformation or push a specific political agenda look more professional, look glamorous, look like something that you can believe,” said Jiore Craig, head of elections and digital integrity at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, which tracks online extremism.

My question is: what makes their conspiracy theory more valid than the original conspiracy theory?

The “assault on democracy” warning

The Economist interviewed Nancy Rosenblum and Russell Muirhead about the “dangers” of conspiracy theories. They are the co-authors of the book, A Lot of People Are Saying: The New Conspiracism and the Assault on Democracy. Nancy and Russell call it “conspiracy without the theory,” claiming it’s all nothing more than baseless accusations and somebody ought to do something about it. (Emphasis mine.)

The new media—social media, of course, but even basic things like internet message boards—challenge the traditional gatekeeping function of editors and producers. Today anyone can say anything to everyone in the world instantly and for free. And because validation of conspiracy claims takes the form of repetition and assent, even the most casual “likes” and “retweets” give authority to senseless, destructive charges (“a lot of people are saying”). We are seeing the political effects of this change and one of the first things we’re seeing is the spread of a politically malignant form of conspiracy without the theory.

Can the same technology that disseminates charges like “fake news” or the “deep state” also disempower it? Can political representatives and citizens who grasp the effects of conspiracism, the way it delegitimises democratic institutions, exile it again to the fringes of political life? No one has figured out how to do this yet, short of some form of public- or corporate-censorship of egregious conspiracy-entrepreneurs like Alex Jones or, what is now unthinkable, censoring irresponsible political officials who endorse conspiracist claims.

Nancy and Russell believe we need to defer to the scholars.

The counter-force comes from the authority of knowledge-producing institutions (that is, courts, expert-staffed agencies, research universities) on one side, and democratic common sense on the other. Wherever conspiracism is reshaping public life, two preventatives are vital: to defend the integrity of knowledge-producing institutions and bolster confidence in the ballast of common sense.

After all, it’s only “rational.”

Interestingly, painting women as irrational and hysterical was a tool that was used to oppress them for centuries. But I guess it’s A-OK to do that to political opponents.

(How do you starve the beast? Check out our free QUICKSTART Guide to learn more.)

The thing is, conspiracy theories are often more valid than the “news.”

When you read those arguments in a bubble, they sound perfectly reasonable. It’s only when you look at them through the lens of the things going on in the United States, and heck, the world, that you see how stifling it is.

For a decade, I’ve written about “conspiracy theories.” I’ve shared information and suggested that while it might seem innocent at first, it’s a slippery slope. Then people call me crazy, and then the next thing you know, we’ve slid down that slippery slope, and when we’re in a pile at the bottom, nobody steps up and says, “Whoops, I guess you were right.

Instead, they memory-hole (thanks, Orwell) their initial (incorrect) arguments and gaslight us, acting as though they never disagreed with us in the first place.

That’s why I put together a PDF book this week with many of the “conspiracy theories” I’ve written about over the past ten years. The Conspiracy Files: “Crazy “Theories That Turned Out to Be TRUE is a limited run – the book will only be available this week. It discusses propaganda, censorship, Covid-19, the Ukraine war, the election, the Great Reset, dangerous technology, and much more. It’s 543 pages, and I think, if you are a conspiracy theorist like me, you’ll find it very interesting how many of these “crazy conspiracy theories” turned out to be true. You can get your copy here, and it’s name-your-price.

Repeatedly, we’ve seen our theories and opinions publicly mocked, the purveyors of those opinions defunded and shunned, and the people who believe them belittled and degraded. Sure, some conspiracy theories are truly nuts – but the beauty of free speech means that we can decide for ourselves through research and reason what we believe to be the most accurate portrayal of the facts.

If you think about the scientific method, it all starts with a theory. Then the person tests it and holds it up for examination to see whether or not it’s true. Why are conversations looked at differently? I should be able to provide my evidence and converse with someone who provides evidence to the contrary. Nobody should be cast as a villain for that, but it seems rather villainous to silence people for daring to believe something other than what the media tells us is true, without question.

Of course, I guess us thinking for ourselves instead of believing what we’re spoon fed is what makes conspiracy theories so darned dangerous.

What about left-wing conspiracy theories?

The argument that conspiracy theories are dangerous often overlooks left-wing conspiracy theories. All of the things below have been proven objectively WRONG but nobody seems to think these are dangerous.

  • That conservative kid from Covington was disrespectful to the Native American guy
  • Donald Trump colluded with the Russians
  • The Covid pandemic started in a wet market because someone ate a bad bat
  • Hunter Biden’s laptop didn’t exist
  • Covid vaccines will keep you from getting Covid

There are a whole bunch more and most of them are about President Trump. Whether you love him or hate him, he didn’t say that neo-Nazis were very fine people and he did not tell folks to drink bleach to cure Covid.

Nobody in the mainstream media is running around calling these attacks on the former President a threat to democracy. Nobody in academia is calling the nonsense about Covid that destroyed our very economy dangerous. In fact, you have to really dig to find out anything about those subjects online and a lot of folks still believe them.

I’d say that there was a coverup of left-wing conspiracy theories but then I’d sound like a crazy conspiracy theorist.

What are your thoughts on conspiracy theories?

I’ll proudly wear the tin foil. I refuse to just “absorb” the opinions of the mainstream media. Conspiracy theories give me another perspective, another way of looking at the world. And it’s a way I’m free to take or leave. Just like I should also be free to take or leave what passes for “news” these days.

I’m not saying you need to be delusional, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with questioning things, coming up with a theory, and having a conversation about it. Obviously, you shouldn’t use those questions to harm others. Folks who act in violence based on a conspiracy actually are crazy, regardless of whether that is a left-wing or right-wing conspiracy theory. There will always be crazy people out there. But most people don’t do that. They just discuss it and ask questions.

Long live the conspiracy theory and the freedom to discuss things.

Do you believe in conspiracy theories? Are you “dangerous?” Do you think those conspiracy theories are something that should be silenced? Let’s talk about it in the comments.
