The technology, referred to as Project Maven, had its research acquired from the government by Google under a contract six years ago before being acquired recently by other contractors following opposition from engineers and other employees who did not want to be associated with creating an AI tool for military use.

Today, the technology is being tested on the front line in Ukraine, the New York Times reported, as Western and Ukrainian officers, together with some top military contractors from Silicon Valley, are “exploring new ways of finding and exploiting Russian vulnerabilities.”

Thus far, the findings from the testing have reportedly been “mixed.” While Project Maven permits commanders to identify the movements of Russian forces and utilize AI algorithms to predict their next steps, it has seemingly been “difficult” to bring “21st-century data into 19th-century trenches.”

One of the biggest obstacles, the New York Times said, is that due to restrictions enforced by President Joe Biden, the U.S. military can only supply Ukrainians a “picture of the battlefield” without providing exact targeting details.

It is also unclear if the latest technology would even be able to alter the course of the war due to Russia’s ability to adapt to emerging technologies being employed by Ukraine.

“When new technology meets the brutality of old-fashioned trench warfare, the results are rarely what Pentagon planners expected,” the New York Times said.

U.S. military using Ukraine conflict as testing ground for rapidly evolving technologies

Despite the mixed results from testing Project Maven, the conflict in Ukraine is still considered “a bonanza for the U.S. military” and a testing ground for rapidly evolving military technologies.

“At the end of the day this became our laboratory,” said U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Christopher T. Donahue.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has been using a version of Project Maven that does not need the input of sensitive American intelligence or advanced systems.

Ukrainian attack drones armed with AI-powered targeting capabilities have been utilized to target the Russian energy industry and destroy an important part of Russia’s refining capability. (Related: Ukraine claims to be developing “unstoppable” AI-controlled drones that can attack targets on the battlefield.)

The use of AI has allowed the drones to have accurate targeting and resist jamming, improving the precision of strikes on enemy targets.

This primary form of AI, called machine vision, allows drones to map terrain and carry out strikes with high precision without requiring steady satellite contact, giving strategic advantages to Ukrainian troops.

Washington has benefited from Ukraine’s use of this technology by showing the Pentagon the weaknesses and areas for improvement with military-focused AI technology.

The use of AI in combat situations has emphasized the need for a redesigned military satellite system that can work more successfully, comparable with the Starlink constellations of small satellites.

This change in understanding highlights the importance of adjusting and developing military technology to address the requirements of modern warfare.

The application of AI in military operations represents a major advancement in the field of warfare, giving new possibilities for improving precision strikes and critical decision-making.

Over 90 Missiles and Drones Were Launched From Yemen in Past 48 Hours https://americanconservativemovement.com/over-90-missiles-and-drones-were-launched-from-yemen-in-past-48-hours/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/over-90-missiles-and-drones-were-launched-from-yemen-in-past-48-hours/#comments Tue, 16 Apr 2024 09:43:01 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=202742 (Zero Hedge)—New statements from the Pentagon issued Monday have said the Houthis fired over 90 ballistic missiles and drones – most of which were intercepted by US and allied forces over the past 48 hours, once the Iranian attack kicked off in the overnight hours of Saturday.

US Central Command described that at one point during the attack the Houthis fired an anti-ship ballistic missile directly against US Navy and commercial ships in the Gulf of Aden. “There were no injuries or damage reported by US, coalition, or commercial ships,” CENTCOM said.

Of the 90 total projectiles fired, the CENTCOM says its forces intercepted over 80 drones and at least six ballistic missiles total.

“Iran’s continued unprecedented, malign, and reckless behavior endangers regional stability and the safety of US and coalition forces,” CENTCOM said the the statement.

“CENTCOM remains postured to support Israel’s defense against these dangerous actions by Iran. We will continue to work with all our regional partners to increase regional security,” it added.

The Houthis are expected to launch another phase of intense attacks in the scenario that Israel hits back at Iran. On Monday Israel’s leadership in the war cabinet appears to have greenlighted such a retaliation attack.

On Monday it has also been coming to light to huge degree to which the US and Western allies were key in helping Israel repel the Iranian attack. According to The Wall Street Journal:

Saturday’s Iranian strike on Israel was huge by any standard. Tehran launched more than 170 explosive-laden drones, around 120 ballistic missiles and about 30 cruise missiles, according to Israel. The damage could have been catastrophic. As it turned out, almost all were intercepted.

That success was due to a combination of Israel’s sophisticated air-defense system and critical assistance provided by the U.S. and other Western and Arab partners. American, British and Jordanian warplanes played an especially important role in downing drones. Most of the Iranian drones and missiles were destroyed before they even reached Israeli airspace.

At this point the Middle East is bracing for a potential bigger Israel-Iran war which would likely spread to include Syria, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Houthis in Yemen.

This is why the US and European leaders are busy urging restraint for Israel. A bigger war would also send the price of oil soaring, worsening Biden’s reelection chances.

CISA and FBI Warn That Chinese-Made Drones Destroy American Competition and Threaten Our National Security https://americanconservativemovement.com/cisa-and-fbi-warn-that-chinese-made-drones-destroy-american-competition-and-threaten-our-national-security/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/cisa-and-fbi-warn-that-chinese-made-drones-destroy-american-competition-and-threaten-our-national-security/#respond Sun, 21 Jan 2024 08:47:00 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=200526 (The Epoch Times)—U.S. owners and operators of critical infrastructure are being warned not to use Chinese-made unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) due to security risks, in a memo and report issued on Jan. 17 by the FBI and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

“Our nation’s critical infrastructure sectors, such as energy, chemical and communications, are increasingly relying on UAS for various missions that ultimately reduce operating costs and improve staff safety,” David Mussington, executive assistant director for CISA’s Infrastructure Security, said in a memo that accompanied the report, titled “Cybersecurity Guidance: Chinese-Manufactured UAS.”

“However, the use of Chinese-manufactured UAS risks exposing sensitive information that jeopardizes U.S. national security, economic security, and public health and safety.”

“Urgent attention” must be paid to “China’s aggressive cyber operations to steal intellectual property and sensitive data from organizations,” Mr. Mussington added.

Chinese-made drones have long been a concern in the United States, particularly those made by China-based Da Jiang Innovations (DJI), which is the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial drones. In December 2020, the Commerce Department added DJI to its export control list for being complicit in the Chinese regime’s human rights abuses. Two years later, the Pentagon added DJI to its list of “Chinese military companies” that are operating directly or indirectly in the United States.

The FBI–CISA report doesn’t mention DJI or other Chinese UAS makers by name.

Chinese Laws

However, it highlights the risks associated with using Chinese-made drones by pointing to different Chinese laws, including the National Intelligence Law that took effect in 2017, which compels Chinese companies to hand over data collected within China and elsewhere to Beijing’s intelligence agencies.

“The 2021 Data Security Law expands the PRC’s access to and control of companies and data within China and imposes strict penalties on China-based businesses for non-compliance,” the report says, referring to China’s official name, the People’s Republic of China.

“The 2021 Cyber Vulnerability Reporting Law requires Chinese-based companies to disclose cyber vulnerabilities found in their systems or software to PRC authorities prior to any public disclosure or sharing overseas,” the report adds.

“This may provide PRC authorities the opportunity to exploit system flaws before cyber vulnerabilities are publicly known.”

The report points out three major vulnerabilities that Chinese-made drones can exploit: data transfer and collection, patching and firmware updates, and a broader surface for data collection. Drones controlled by smartphones and other internet-of-things devices could allow foreign intelligence gathering on U.S. critical infrastructure.

Sensitive imagery, surveying data, and facility layouts are some of the vulnerable data that “allow foreign adversaries like the PRC access to previously inaccessible intelligence,” according to the report.

“Without mitigations in place, the widespread deployment of Chinese-manufactured UAS in our nation’s key sectors is a national security concern, and it carries the risk of unauthorized access to systems and data,” Bryan Vorndran, assistant director of the FBI’s Cyber Division, said in a statement.

The memo encourages owners and operators of U.S. critical infrastructure to buy drones that are “secure-by-design,” including those made by U.S. companies. The report provides several cybersecurity recommendations.

Responses

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), chairwoman of the House Republican Conference, and Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.), chairman of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), issued a joint statement in response to the report.

“The new Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency report makes clear that Communist Chinese drones present a legitimate national security risk to our critical infrastructure and must be banned from the U.S.,” the lawmakers stated.

“The CCP has subsidized drone companies such as DJI and Autel in order to destroy American competition and spy on America’s critical infrastructure sites. We must ban CCP-backed spy drones from America and work to bolster the U.S. drone industry.”

Last November, a bipartisan group of 11 House lawmakers, including Mr. Gallagher and Ms. Stefanik, sent a letter to the Biden administration, calling for an investigation into Chinese drone maker Autel Robotics, citing national security concerns. The group said the firm is openly affiliated with the Chinese military and “poses a direct threat to U.S. national security as local law enforcement and state and local governments are purchasing and operating Autel drones.”

Mr. Gallagher and Ms. Stefanik also introduced the Countering CCP Drones Act (H.R.2864) in April 2023 to prevent DJI technologies from operating on U.S. communication infrastructure.

Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, advised people interested in purchasing Chinese-made drones to read the security report.

“For years, I’ve been concerned about the security risks associated with drones, including those made in the PRC,” he wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter. “This memo represents a good first step to studying that, and I hope anyone considering purchasing a Chinese drone reads it carefully.”

Watch: US Navy Drone Boat Fires ‘Kamikaze Drones’ in Exercise Amid WWIII Threats https://americanconservativemovement.com/watch-us-navy-drone-boat-fires-kamikaze-drones-in-exercise-amid-wwiii-threats/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/watch-us-navy-drone-boat-fires-kamikaze-drones-in-exercise-amid-wwiii-threats/#respond Mon, 06 Nov 2023 16:20:07 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=198212 (Zero Hedge)—The US Navy revealed it had recently conducted a live weapons firing exercise in the surrounding waters of the Arabian Peninsula using an unmanned vessel equipped to deploy loitering munitions – drones designed to self-destruct upon striking a target – which successfully eliminated a mock enemy target.

The exercise was called “Digital Talon” – and performed by the US Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) on Oct. 22. It involved unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) and loitering munitions. The service said the exercise “constituted the first use of lethal munitions from USVs in the Middle East region.”

A video released by the Navy shows NAVCENT’s Task Force 59, the Navy’s first Unmanned and Artificial Intelligence Task Force, firing loitering munitions, or “kamikaze drones,” from the USV. The drones with a built-in munition (warhead) struck a simulated hostile forces target in the waters of the Arabian Peninsula.

“We are focused on the operational application of new, cutting-edge unmanned systems and artificial intelligence technologies,” Vice Adm. Brad Cooper, NAVCENT commander, wrote in a statement.

Cooper continued, “Last month, we integrated 12 different unmanned platforms with manned ships for ‘manned-unmanned teaming’ operations to conduct enhanced maritime security operations in the waters surrounding the Arabian Peninsula.”

The exercise comes as the Navy enhances surveillance and security around the Strait of Hormuz, where at least 20% of the world’s oil (nearly 17 million barrels a day) plus 18% of liquified natural gas transits daily.

Iran has shown hostility in the region against commercial and military vessels transiting the strait – also, tensions between Israel and Hamas risk sparking a broader conflict throughout the Middle East.

US Flying Spy Drones Over Gaza to Search for Hostages https://americanconservativemovement.com/us-flying-spy-drones-over-gaza-to-search-for-hostages/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/us-flying-spy-drones-over-gaza-to-search-for-hostages/#respond Fri, 03 Nov 2023 19:53:54 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=198127 (Daily Caller)—U.S. spy drones have been flying over and near the Gaza Strip to search for hostages since the Hamas terrorist group infiltrated Israel and took as many as 240 people, including Americans, hostage on Oct. 7, The New York Times reported.

The flights suggest that the U.S. is playing a more active role in hostage recovery than was previously known, as the Pentagon has tasked military personnel with advising and providing intelligence support to Israeli hostage rescuers. That intelligence support may also include MQ-9 Reaper surveillance drone flights conducted in hopes of finding roughly 10 remaining Americans held hostage, the NYT reported, citing a NYT analysis of public flight data and two defense officials who spoke to the outlet on condition of anonymity.

Analysts first spotted the Reapers reporting their status and altitude on Flightradar24, a commercially-available flight tracking website, on Oct. 28, according to the NYT. But, U.S. Special Operations forces began conducting unmanned aircraft sorties within days after the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks, the officials said.

The U.S. has never before flown reconnaissance missions over Gaza, the defense officials said, according to the NYT. Israel regularly conducts surveillance in the airspace above Gaza.

U.S. surveillance flights are not supporting Israel Defense Forces (IDF) military operations in Gaza, the officials told the NYT. Rather, their objective is to identify hostages, determine their status and provide information to Israeli forces.

Several dozen American Special Operations forces have arrived in Israel since Oct. 7 to advise on hostage recovery efforts. It was not clear if these are the same personnel manning the spy flights; analyst Amelia Smith first spotted an unmanned aerial vehicle flying from the coast of Crete to Gaza, where it loitered for several hours, on Oct. 29.

Israel’s military has surrounded Gaza City and is in the beginning stages of military operations in the city itself, the NYT reported. One of the IDF’s war aims is to rescue hostages; as time progresses and Israel’s military presses further into Gaza, it may become more difficult to ensure hostage survival.

Most MQ-9 flights center around areas in southern Gaza, away from the primary thrust of IDF operations, the NYT reported. Smith told the outlet she identified at least six distinct MQ-9 drones involved in the effort. Several hovered over Gaza for about three hours at altitudes of 24,000 to 26,000 feet.

Hamas militants threatened to kill hostages if Israel does not stop launching airstrikes on Gaza.

While the MQ-9 was first designed as a “hunter-killer” drone, the U.S. military gives it surveillance missions due to its ability to loiter for as long as 20 hours and advanced sensors and radars, according to the NYT.

The Pentagon did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Police State and Surveillance Industrial Complex Test Out Drone Monitoring of the Masses in NYC for Labor Day https://americanconservativemovement.com/police-state-and-surveillance-industrial-complex-test-out-drone-monitoring-of-the-masses-in-nyc-for-labor-day/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/police-state-and-surveillance-industrial-complex-test-out-drone-monitoring-of-the-masses-in-nyc-for-labor-day/#respond Sat, 02 Sep 2023 00:58:04 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=196200 Do NOT downplay this news just because very few in conservative and alternative media are talking about it yet. My search through over 250 sites on my feed revealed only Reclaim The Net (article below), Infowars, and Zero Hedge have mentioned it. Oddly, corporate media is talking about it profusely and framing it in a positive light. I’m hopeful more conservative and alternative media will pick it up over the weekend.

Surveillance drones are being deployed by the New York City Police Department over Labor Day weekend to monitor “large gatherings” of people in their own backyards. That statement alone should send chills down all of our spines but I imagine most will just shake our head because news like this is no longer shocking. But our complacency is misplaced; they are normalizing the police state before our eyes.

This goes far beyond crime prevention, especially in a city that ignores actual crimes and releases violent criminals incessantly. If this was happening in Provo, Utah, or Great Falls, Montana, I’d mark it down as an overzealous police force forgetting our right to privacy. After all, drone technology offers benefits for fighting real crime when applied right. But this is New York City where crimes go unpunished. That tells us this is a move to do two very important things for the Globalist Elite Cabal’s agenda.

First, this is part of the aforementioned normalization of the police state. They want us to expect Big Brother to be there, just barely out of reach, so even the most freedom-loving among us start to accept that we’re always being watched. Just as many patriotic Americans masked up on their way to get jabbed even though they didn’t really want to do either, so too will many Americans reluctantly accept this type of surveillance if they’re exposed to it enough.

In other words, this move and similar ones like it are shifting the Overton Window so things that were anathema in the recent past will be expected and even accepted in the near future.

The second thing this does for the Globalist Elite Cabal is act as a test run for totalitarian measures. We are experiencing creeping tyranny in the United States, but soon it will no longer be creeping. They are accelerating their plans and imposing more dystopian policies on us every day. Some of it makes the news. Most of it does not. This is why I put so much effort into managing news aggregators like The Liberty Daily and Discern Report. I can’t write every story, but thankfully there are others out there writing about important topics already.

Here is the article from Reclaim The Net with some of the details. Let’s get this information out to our friends and family. The news about the drones is bad enough, but the bigger story to me is that so few are speaking out against it. Sound off about it on my Substack.

New York Police To Deploy Drones To Monitor Labor Day Weekend Parties

The NYPD’s announcement to deploy drones as uninvited guests at private backyard gatherings this weekend continues to ignite a heated debate over personal freedom and privacy, a treacherous line that government authorities seem keen to cross as much as possible.

Responding to complaints about large gatherings over the upcoming Labor Day celebrations, Assistant NYPD Commissioner Kaz Daughtry stated drones will come into play if “a large crowd, a large party in a backyard” gets reported.

This shocking move showcases a worrying amount of overreach from the authorities, prompting criticism from privacy advocates and citizens who know the value of freedoms.

Indeed, it does feel as though we are living a dystopian Sci-Fi narrative with these police surveillance revelations. Is Mayor Eric Adams endorsing an eerie future where our every movement is monitored from the sky?

Alarmingly, the NYPD seems to be coy about disclosing their drone policies. A request for comment from Mayor Adams only received links to laid-back guidelines for private drone operations in the city. Is this preparation for when these silent observers become more commonplace in the urban skies?

Join the conversation about this on my America First Report Substack.

Kim Jong-Un Shows Off New Attack Drones and Ballistic Missiles in Military Parade https://americanconservativemovement.com/kim-jong-un-shows-off-new-attack-drones-and-ballistic-missiles-in-military-parade/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/kim-jong-un-shows-off-new-attack-drones-and-ballistic-missiles-in-military-parade/#respond Thu, 03 Aug 2023 18:11:04 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=195467 Russian and Chinese officials stood shoulder to shoulder with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as they reviewed the country’s latest nuclear-capable missiles and new attack drones during a grand military parade in Pyongyang.

The parade held on July 27 commemorated the 70th anniversary of the armistice that ended the Korean War on July 27, 1953 – which North Korea celebrates as “Victory Day.” Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu graced the event, the first by Moscow’s top defense official since the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. Li Hongzhong, a member of the Chinese Communist Party’s Politburo, represented Beijing – the first time a Chinese official visited since the onset of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Both Russia and China openly embraced North Korea’s nuclear weapons and missile development program. North Korea showcased its latest Hwasong-17 and Hwasong-18 intercontinental ballistic missiles. These missiles are believed to have the range to reach targets anywhere in the United States.

The parade also featured a flyover by North Korea’s new attack and spy drones. Ankit Panda of the U.S.-based Carnegie Endowment for International Peace noted that the surveillance drones could enhance the strategic situational awareness North Korea could offer to external customers.

During the parade, Kim was seen engaging in amiable interactions with Shoigu and Li. The North Korean leader hosted a reception and luncheon for the Russian defense minister, reaffirming solidarity with the Russian people and military. Shoigu, in turn, praised the North Korean military as the world’s strongest and held discussions with Kim on strategic security and defense cooperation.

The state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) published on July 28 a letter sent by Russian President Vladimir Putin to his North Korean counterpart. Putin conveyed his support toward Kim and praised Pyongyang’s firm backing of Moscow during the Russia-Ukraine war. The letter was meant to conceal Putin’s absence from the event, according to Newsweek.

Washington accuses Pyongyang of arming Moscow

North Korea has been a vocal supporter of Russia during the conflict, with the distinction of being one of the few countries to officially recognize the independence of the pro-Russian Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.

The luncheon for Shoigu was held at a hall adorned with portraits of the Russian leader. The display of Putin’s portraits in an official North Korean building underscores the deepening relationship between the two countries and raises questions about the future implications of their growing alliance.

Shoigu’s visit to Pyongyang has further intensified the Russo-North Korean military ties. Ahead of his arrival, the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) stated that the trip would strengthen the relationship between the two nations in the military sphere.

Meanwhile, the U.S. accused North Korea of providing weapons to Russia for its fight against Ukraine back in 2022. The allegations stemmed from remarks made by Vedant Patel, principal deputy spokesman for the U.S. Department of State, during a briefing.

According to Patel, the MoD was purchasing missiles and artillery shells from North Korea for use in Ukraine. He continued that the acquisition indicates Russian military forces grappling with severe supply shortages, partly due to export controls and sanctions.

White House National Security Spokesman John Kirby later walked back Patel’s assertion. He stated that it was a “potential purchase” and that there was no concrete evidence that the transaction had taken place.

Both Pyongyang and Moscow denied the allegations put forward by Patel, with a senior North Korean official warning Washington to “stop making reckless remarks” and “keep its mouth shut.”

Playing Both Sides: China Supplies Drones to Both Ukraine and Russia https://americanconservativemovement.com/playing-both-sides-china-supplies-drones-to-both-ukraine-and-russia/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/playing-both-sides-china-supplies-drones-to-both-ukraine-and-russia/#respond Fri, 07 Jul 2023 19:11:06 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=194478 Since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, mainstream media has been consistent in claiming that China has been in full support and partnership with Moscow, including supplying military drones, to be used in the ongoing conflict. But this may not be the case as American Moscow-based political analyst and regular contributor to Global Research Andrew Korybko shared on his Substack newsletter how Kyiv accidentally proved the communist country is actually “militarily neutral” in the NATO-Russian proxy war.

“Kyiv’s foreign patrons would have certainly been aware of their proxy clandestinely procuring drones from China via its volunteers’ purchases, yet they turned a blind eye out of military convenience while simultaneously pushing false claims about that country is arming Russian forces,” he said in the article. First of all, he said, that the West claiming that China is secretly sending Russia military equipment disqualifies China from their suspicion that the Asian country is mediating a political resolution to the proxy war in Ukraine because would mean that it is not neutral.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Deputy Defense Minister Vitaly Deinega has been disputing the allegations that they are receiving military supplies straight from China as Kyiv is avoiding irritating President Joe Biden’s regime. “As far as it was explained to me… we cannot buy anything Chinese so as not to hurt our relationship with the United States,” Deinega told Ukrainian news outlet Leviy Bereg on Monday. The government official also disclosed to local media that volunteers procure Chinese drones for their forces since they can’t do so directly due to U.S. pressure.

However, Korybko pointed out that it does not mean that it is arming Ukraine against Russia just like similar claims from the mainstream media. It likewise does not follow that the Chinese state is arming Russia against Ukraine, he said.

“It shows that private Chinese drone suppliers are selling their wares to similarly private buyers who clandestinely pass them along to the most direct participants in this proxy war,” the journalist explained.

Nevertheless, critics see how China is benefitting massively from selling its military equipment both ways, though not directly. Business is good for CCP.

Xi takes credit for warning Putin against a nuclear attack on Ukraine

Further supporting the claims that China is a “double-sided” sword, Chinese President Xi Jinping takes the credit for warning Russian President Vladimir Putin against triggering a nuclear explosion at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP) in Ukraine – it’s like saying to Kyiv that “Beijing cares for you even though we have close ties with Moscow.”

The face-to-face message was delivered during Xi’s state visit to Moscow in March, western and Chinese officials said. Stopping Putin from possibly spreading radiation via a local nuclear explosion has been central to China’s campaign to repair damaged ties with Europe, said a senior adviser to the Chinese government. But analysts that are Kyiv-leaning on this war have doubted Beijing’s commitment to such deterrence, given Xi’s deep partnership with Putin and a “peace plan” that heavily overlaps with Russian talking points.

However, they are given a spark of hope that China is backing up its public rhetoric behind closed doors. “The Chinese are taking credit for sending the message at every level,” a senior U.S. administration official said. Echoing the same idea, European Union’s Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell said back in March that the Chinese president’s visit “reduces the risk of nuclear war and Chinese have made it very, very clear.”

And China’s opinion seems to have a great influence on Putin’s decision. As per Financial Times, Russia’s invasion is heavily reliant on support from China, which has helped Moscow to navigate economic sanctions that have excluded it from critical global markets and supply chains.

Meanwhile, Alexander Gabuev, director of the Carnegie Russia Eurasia Center, insisted that Russia’s Putin will not be entirely dependent on China’s advice as “nuclear weapons are the ultimate insurance Putin has against losing this war catastrophically,” he stressed. Actually, Hordes of Highly Sophisticated Unidentified Aircraft Have Been Flying Over U.S. Territory https://americanconservativemovement.com/actually-hordes-of-highly-sophisticated-unidentified-aircraft-have-been-flying-over-u-s-territory/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/actually-hordes-of-highly-sophisticated-unidentified-aircraft-have-been-flying-over-u-s-territory/#comments Mon, 13 Feb 2023 10:17:50 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=190288 Things are starting to get really strange.  First, a “Chinese spy balloon” was shot down off the coast of South Carolina after it had traveled across much of the continental United States.  Then, another “unidentified object” was shot down over Alaska.  Subsequently, at the request of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau a third “unidentified object” was shot down over Canada.  And now we have just learned that a fourth “unidentified object” has been shot down over Lake Huron.  In addition, a congressman from Montana is reporting that there is an “unidentified object” flying over his state.  On top of everything else, China is telling us that an “unidentified object” has been flying near the Chinese port city of Qingdao.

All of a sudden, these sightings have become the biggest news story in the entire country, and I think that it is likely that there will be even more sightings in the days ahead.

But let’s put all of this into perspective.

The only reason why most people are freaking out about this story is because the mainstream media is freaking out about this story. If the mainstream media was ignoring this story, they would also be ignoring this story.

We have been trained to believe that a story is important only when the mainstream media tells us that it is important.

If millions of Americans want to get excited about some balloons, that is fine. I will get excited with them. But the truth is that hordes of highly sophisticated unidentified aircraft have been flying over U.S. territory for years.

Let me give you some examples.  Starting in December 2019, large groups of “unidentified drones” were repeatedly spotted flying over northeastern Colorado and western Nebraska

A formation of unidentified drones, some in groups of 30, have been reported flying high above a corner of rural northeastern Colorado and western Nebraska, usually from 7 to 10 p.m. By some accounts, the drones have wingspans of 6 feet or more.

“They can sit there and hover. They can descend very fast. They can take off very fast,” Wyatt Harman, who chased the drones as they flew above his land in Washington County, Colorado, told the “TODAY” show.

He and his girlfriend, Chelsea Arnold, said they pursued the lights for about 15 miles, driving as fast as 70 mph.

These drones were very large and could fly at extremely high speeds.

Pretty soon, there were also sightings in Kansas.  At the time, multiple witnesses reported seeing formations of up to 50 drones flying in very precise “grid formations”

Meanwhile, neighbouring Nebraska and Kansas were also dealing with their own mysterious drone swarms. From December 2019 to January 2020, residents of the three states were perturbed by multiple sightings of numerous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with wingspans of up to 6ft flying between 6pm and 10pm in grid formations. On the same night that Iovinella was receiving calls, a Nebraska deputy reported seeing 30 to 50 drones in the sky. Witnesses were alarmed by the size and speed of the vehicles. “It got to the point that we were fixing to take up arms,” says Mike, 39, from Lindon, Colorado, who wishes to retain partial anonymity.

To me, a large fleet of highly sophisticated drones flying at very high speed is a lot more alarming than a few high altitude balloons.

Quite frequently, unidentified drones appear to be very interested in national security targets of a highly sensitive nature.  In fact, from March 2018 to April 2021, there were “four reports of unidentified airborne vehicle intrusions at sensitive U.S. government nuclear laboratories”…

Freedom of Information Act requests by the Washington Examiner have returned four reports of unidentified airborne vehicle intrusions at sensitive U.S. government nuclear laboratories between March 2018 and April 2021. In each case, security officers failed to identify the operator of these apparent vehicles or their intent.

U.S. military bases and ships that belong to the U.S. Navy are also common targets.  For example, last year footage of a very alarming incident in which a drone swarm flew very close to the USS Zumwalt in April 2019 was released to the public

New footage from the U.S. Navy shows a drone swarm of unknown origin flying over the USS Zumwalt, a highly sensitive “stealth destroyer” in the waters off California in April 2019.

The video, obtained by The War Zone via the Freedom of Information Act, features a sailor describing a set of lights from six drones above the USS Zumwalt as he filmed the encounter

Of course that was not just an isolated incident.

According to an “interim report” that was released in June 2022, there were 144 incidents of unidentified aircraft flying near U.S. military targets over a period of 17 years…

Sightings of what appear to be aircraft flying without discernible means of propulsion have been reported near military bases and coastlines, raising the prospect that witnesses have spotted undiscovered or secret Chinese or Russian technology.

An interim report released by US intelligence officials last year counted 144 sightings of aircraft or other devices apparently flying at mysterious speeds or trajectories. In all but one of the sightings investigated, there was too little information for investigators to even broadly characterise the nature of the incident.

But that wasn’t the end of the story.

Many more incidents were later added to that report, and ultimately the grand total reached a whopping 510 incidents

The March 2021 date represents the end of a preliminary assessment period by ODNI that spanned 17 years, during which there were 144 UAP reports. Since that date, another 119 incidents that took place before March 2021 but weren’t included in the preliminary assessment were also reported — bringing the total number of reports to 510 as of late August 2022.

So I am glad that there is finally an uproar about the lack of security in the skies above our heads.

Because vast hordes of drones have been regularly violating U.S. air space for a long time.

And in case you are wondering, yes, drones can deliver weapons of mass destruction.

Unfortunately, our leaders continue to move us even closer to cataclysmic conflicts with both Russia and China, and the death and destruction that such conflicts could cause would be unimaginable.

So let us hope that our leaders will decide to reverse course and start pressing for peace while it is still possible to do so.

Because if we stay on the path that we are on, eventually someone will make a mistake that will not be able to be erased, and then millions upon millions of people will die.
