We’ve seen the disastrous results across the nation after the 2020 presidential election was stolen. But no state has been more impacted by their own stolen election than Arizona, a state in which Kari Lake should currently be governor instead of Katie Hobbs.

Lake highlighted just the latest example of massive corruption from Hobbs and the people surrounding her. The partner of Hobbs’ top advisor is now lobbying for a Saudi company to export precious water from the drought-stricken state.

As Lake noted on Twitter, this is “corruption in broad daylight”:

A Saudi Arabian company has been exporting Arizona water overseas despite our historic drought. They just hired the business partner of @katiehobbs’ TOP campaign adviser to lobby for them. This is corruption in broad daylight. Hobbs is selling Arizona out to the highest bidder. And I will fight like hell to stop her.

Multiple legal battles have been fought to try to correct the stolen Arizona election of 2022, but the corrupt judiciary has been running the standard voter-fraud-cover-up script. Despite the fact that hundreds of thousands of votes are “questionable” at best in the extremely tight race, Hobbs continues to sit in the Governor’s office.

But Lake keeps fighting for Arizonans nonetheless.

Here’s the story about the scandal in question generated from corporate media reports by Truth Based Media:

Saudi Company Hires Partner of Katie Hobbs’ Top Advisor to Lobby for Water Exports During Drought

A recent development surrounding a Saudi Arabian company’s groundwater pumping leases under state land has raised concerns due to its hiring of a new lobbyist with ties to Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs’ campaign adviser. The foreign company, Fondomonte, entered into a contract with Chad Guzman and his firm, Signal Peak Consulting. Guzman is the sole member of Signal Peak and is also involved in managing a lobbying firm called Fillmore Strategy, alongside Joe Wolf, Hobbs’ senior adviser.

Both Guzman’s and Wolf’s companies share the same address in state business registration records. Despite being closely associated with Hobbs, Wolf stated that he is no longer receiving payments from the governor’s campaign. Signal Peak Consulting was hired approximately two months ago, according to Matthew Benson, a partner at political firm Veridus and spokesperson for Fondomonte. The scrutiny of Fondomonte’s below-market-rate leases of state land led to increased attention, and Signal Peak was only recently registered as a lobbyist for Fondomonte.

Both Wolf and Benson denied any involvement of Wolf in Fondomonte’s affairs, as the company conducts business with state land and water departments under Hobbs’ control. However, questions remain about how Wolf maintains a separation between his shared business with Guzman and Guzman’s consulting clients, which include Fondomonte. Wolf stated that he has no ties to the Saudi company and dismissed the matter as insignificant.

Guzman, on the other hand, has not responded to inquiries seeking comment. According to Benson, the decision to hire Guzman and Signal Peak Consulting was based on Guzman’s expertise and extensive experience in natural resources and water issues. Benson himself was hired by Fondomonte to handle strategic communications.

Fondomonte’s leases of state land, which allow them to pump unlimited amounts of water, were brought to light by The Arizona Republic last year. The company secured leases under a prior administration, with one lease in the Butler Valley near Bouse costing only $25 per acre, a fraction of the market rate. Fondomonte uses the land to grow alfalfa for export to the Middle East, relying on groundwater from a transfer basin that could potentially serve as a future water supply for the Phoenix area. This controversy has arisen amidst a severe megadrought in the West, with areas like Rio Verde Foothills exemplifying the region’s water scarcity.

Governor Hobbs criticized these leases during her campaign and in her first State of the State speech. The issue became a non-partisan concern during the 2022 election cycle, with candidates from various parties criticizing what they perceived as favorable deals for Fondomonte. Hobbs’ administration is currently studying approaches for transportation basin leases and aims to prioritize Arizona’s interests. However, they declined to comment on the connection between Guzman and Wolf or a recent article in the Washington Post suggesting that Hobbs’ staff recommended not renewing Fondomonte’s leases, set to expire next year.

Under Hobbs’ purview, the state Department of Water Resources halted two well-drilling permits for Fondomonte earlier this year, and in May, paused lease renewals and applications for state-owned land in basins like Butler Valley.

Fondomonte has hired notable Arizona political figures as lobbyists, including Jordan Rose, founder of Rose Law Group, and former Congressman John Shadegg. The company intends to leverage their expertise on water issues to communicate with officials regarding its operations and the significance of agriculture, particularly alfalfa, to the state’s economy.

U.S. Corn and Soy Crops Are at Risk as Drought Conditions Rapidly Spread in America’s Breadbasket https://americanconservativemovement.com/u-s-corn-and-soy-crops-are-at-risk-as-drought-conditions-rapidly-spread-in-americas-breadbasket/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/u-s-corn-and-soy-crops-are-at-risk-as-drought-conditions-rapidly-spread-in-americas-breadbasket/#comments Fri, 23 Jun 2023 12:07:07 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=193883 Every time I write about this, conditions are even worse.  If you look at the latest map from the U.S. Drought Monitor, you will see that almost all of America’s heartland is now in some state of drought.  Much of Kansas is dealing with either “severe” or “exceptional” drought, and in previous articles I have written about how this will impact the winter wheat harvest.  But now areas that grow most of our corn and most of our soy are also getting absolutely hammered by drought.

If this drought in America’s breadbasket continues through the summer, we are going to have a very serious problem on our hands.

At this point, farmers all over the middle of the country are praying for rain, because right now things are not looking good

Below-average rainfall and high winds also exacerbated drought conditions in much of the High Plains region from top spring wheat producer North Dakota to the largest winter wheat state Kansas, the U.S. Drought Monitor report showed.

Concerns about the dry start to the U.S. summer crop season and potential harvest shortfalls have sent corn and soybean prices soaring to multi-month highs, although both crops can still rebound with timely rains.

The last time that I wrote about this, a little bit more than a third of all U.S. corn was being grown in areas affected by drought.

Now, 64 percent of our corn and 57 percent of our soy is being grown in areas that are affected by drought…

Drought continues to be a major story for farmers this year, and new data shows drought conditions are deepening across the Midwest. According to the National Drought Mitigation Center, 64% of the corn crop and 57% of the soybean crop across the U.S. are now covered in drought. That’s a sizable jump in just a week, which is reflected in the ongoing decline in crop conditions.

In other words, conditions are deteriorating very rapidly.

According to the latest report, only 55 percent of U.S. corn is rated good to excellent.  The last time we witnessed such a low level was in 1992

Nationally, USDA-NASS says 55% of the corn crop is rated good to excellent. Lance Honig, NASS Crops Branch Chief, says there are only two years in history where condition ratings have been lower for this week: 1992, when 52% of the crop was rated good to excellent and 1988 with a 37% good to excellent rating.

It has been more than three decades since we have seen anything like this.

And in the key corn-producing state of Illinois, only 36 percent of corn is rated good to excellent…

“I’m very concerned about the weather,” said Sherman Newlin, who grows corn and soybean in Illinois. “We have low humidity, 90-degree temperatures and now the wind is sucking the moisture out of crops really fast.”

Conditions have been particularly poor in Illinois, the No. 2 US producer. Only 36% of the state’s crop was rated good to excellent for the week ending June 18, down 12 percentage points from a week earlier.

“I was shocked at the big drop in Illinois ratings,” Newlin said. “I knew we were bad, but: Wow.”

Big trouble is brewing, and most Americans have no idea that this is happening.

The bad harvests that we had last year have already pushed food prices to ridiculous levels, and now it appears that the price of corn could be headed a lot higher

Futures in Chicago have jumped more than 12% over four sessions, the biggest such gain since early March 2022, when the outbreak of the war in Ukraine rattled grain markets.

Meanwhile, it appears that the orange harvest in Florida is going to be even worse than the experts were projecting…

Predicted crop production numbers have been dropping since December 2022, when the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Agricultural Statistics Service estimated that 20 million boxes of oranges would be produced. 20 million boxes would have been a 51 percent decrease from 2021’s season.

But the state’s produced just under 16 million boxes of oranges through May, which amounts to a 60 percent decline in production, according to Florida Department of Citrus Director of Economic Market and Research Marisa Zansler.

I hope that you don’t like orange juice. Because it is about to get really expensive.

And I wouldn’t count on eating a whole lot of beef in the year ahead either, because the size of the U.S. beef cow herd is “the smallest since 1962”.

It is almost as if some sort of a “perfect storm” has hit U.S. food production.

No matter what the Federal Reserve does with interest rates, food prices are going to continue to surge higher in the months ahead, and that is because we are simply not producing as much food as we normally do.

And of course U.S. farmers are facing operating costs that continue to spiral out of control.  For instance, an excellent article that Zero Hedge has just published has some sobering news about used farm equipment…

A proprietary used farm equipment price tracker published by Jefferies showed clients this week that “used farm equipment shows continued strong pricing as we move through 2023.”

Jefferies scraped used equipment website MachineFinder. Its analysts found large farm equipment was up 13% year-over-year in June, while small farm equipment was up 11.4%. The most significant price move was a 42.% jump in combines.

Sadly, the U.S. is not alone.

Drought, flooding, natural disasters and extremely bizarre weather patterns are devastating crops all over the planet.

And that is really bad news, because even CNN has admitted that we are already in the worst global food crisis in modern history. You may not want to hear this, but the coming global famine has already begun.

In the western world, this will initially manifest itself in higher prices. In poorer areas of the planet, people are dying from starvation even as you read this article.

But because the corporate media is not making a big deal out of this, many of you still believe that everything is just fine…

China Turns to Weather Modification to Combat Record Drought, Deploys Drones for Cloud Seeding https://americanconservativemovement.com/china-turns-to-weather-modification-to-combat-record-drought-deploys-drones-for-cloud-seeding/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/china-turns-to-weather-modification-to-combat-record-drought-deploys-drones-for-cloud-seeding/#respond Sun, 04 Sep 2022 21:55:17 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=180161 To combat the record-breaking drought affecting China, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has deployed two large drones for cloud seeding in the southwestern Sichuan Province.

The record heatwave in China has engulfed nearly half of the country, with the situation developing in severity in Sichuan, one of the country’s main producers of hydropower and responsible for generating energy for cities like Shanghai, which is over 1,000 miles away from the province. (Related: Drought causes large parts of Yangtze River to dry up, reducing hydropower generation and causing shipping delays.)

Sichuan’s hydropower plants are operating below 50 percent of their regular capacity, leading to power cuts in the province. The exceptionally dry weather has also damaged crops and could hurt the fall harvest, which would make China compete for exports in the international markets and drive up already high food prices.

The extreme weather in China has persisted for over two months and has also started to affect Chinese industrial activity and economic growth. Factories of major manufacturers like auto giant Toyota and semiconductor producer Foxconn have already suspended some of their operations in Sichuan.

But Iris Pang, ING chief economist for Greater China, noted that while the drought is exceptional for its effect on the Yangtze River, last year’s heat wave was worse and led to more widespread power cuts.

“We have yet to see factory suspensions in key cities, which is a relief to the government as the economy is already weak,” said Pang, estimating that the power shortage has only impacted around one percent of China’s gross domestic product so far.

Drones to drop thousands of pounds of cloud-seeding chemicals on Sichuan Province

To improve the situation, the CCP has tasked two Wing Loong II unmanned aerial vehicles for cloud seeding operations. The drones, with a maximum payload capacity of 480 kilograms (1,058 pounds), will be repurposed to drop ice-forming agents like silver iodides into existing clouds that already contain ample moisture. According to CCP-owned People’s Daily, the drones will be dropping silver iodide “flame bars” to help create artificial rain in Sichuan.

China has been known to employ weather-controlling technologies for over a decade now, using cloud seeding to water-parched crop fields and lower temperatures in blisteringly hot cities. Before the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the CCP reportedly dispatched planes filled with silver iodide bombs to make it rain so that the skies are clear for the sporting event.

The first flights of the Wing Loong II drones began on Aug. 25, according to state-owned broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV). The flights are being coordinated by the China Meteorological Administration’s Weather Modification Center and the Sichuan Meteorological Bureau.

The drones are expected to cover an area in Sichuan spanning 3,000 square kilometers (2,317 square miles). Both the Weather Modification Center and the local meteorological bureau will be monitoring meteorological conditions and will decide whether or not to continue operations after the drones have cloud-seeded the entirety of their original operational boundaries.

Along with the cloud-seeding drones, local authorities have also fired dozens of rockets filled with silver iodide and other cloud-seeding chemicals.

CCTV has already reported the devastating effects of the cloud seeding operations. In Chengdu, Sichuan’s capital, the temperature fell to 88 degrees Fahrenheit. Many parts of the province have already been put under flood alerts as heavy rains began hitting following the start of the cloud seeding operations, forcing local officials to relocate over 30,000 people living in the most flood-prone areas.

Is Someone Trying to Tell Us Something? We Are Being Hit by Unprecedented Drought and Unprecedented Flooding at the Same Time https://americanconservativemovement.com/is-someone-trying-to-tell-us-something-we-are-being-hit-by-unprecedented-drought-and-unprecedented-flooding-at-the-same-time/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/is-someone-trying-to-tell-us-something-we-are-being-hit-by-unprecedented-drought-and-unprecedented-flooding-at-the-same-time/#comments Tue, 30 Aug 2022 04:59:41 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=179767 We have never seen anything like this before.  There are some parts of the globe that are being absolutely devastated by endless drought, and there are other parts of the globe that are being absolutely devastated by relentless flooding.  So if you happen to live some place where weather patterns are still behaving normally, you should consider yourself to be incredibly blessed.  In all my years, I have never seen extreme conditions in so many areas of the world simultaneously.  This is a major red flag, but unfortunately the vast majority of the general population is still not paying attention.

Over the past few months, I have written article after article about the droughts that we are currently witnessing all over the planet.

Right now, Europe is experiencing the worst drought that it has gone through in at least 500 years, and the rivers are getting so low that “hunger stones” are now being revealed for the first time in centuries

On this front, too, Europe’s rivers are turning up bleak omens — the receding waters in parts of central Europe have revealed old “hunger stones,” markers placed along riverbeds that locals centuries prior left as guides to earlier droughts. One stone that emerged out of the Elbe read: “When this goes under, life will become more colorful again.”

Here in the United States, the western half of the nation is suffering through the worst multi-year megadrought that the region has experienced in 1,200 years, and this is causing all sorts of very serious problems…

Nearly three-quarters of California is in either extreme or exceptional drought, considered worse than severe, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. It’s so bad that scientists say the ongoing drought in the western United States marks the region’s driest 22-year stretch in more than 1,200 years.

The conditions have affected a broad swath of regions and industries. California wells are going dry. Farmers are either paying a premium for water or letting their fields sit empty. And there is growing concern that water exports from the Colorado River could come to a halt.

Not to be outdone, China is currently being hit by the worst drought that it has seen in all of recorded history

China is in the grips of its worst drought on record, which has dried up parts of the Yangtze River and impacted swaths of the country’s industrial sector.

If you have read my previous articles, then you already know about those droughts.

But did you know that at the same time we are also witnessing some of the worst flooding in modern history?

In Pakistan, it has been raining and raining and raining…

“Much of central and northern Pakistan has had 200-600% of normal rainfall with over 1,000% of normal rainfall in southern Pakistan,” Nicholls said, adding that wet weather is common in a La Niña pattern. “Karachi, Pakistan, had 1,397% of normal rainfall in July, or 9.78 inches (248 mm) of rain versus a normal rainfall of 0.70 of an inch (18 mm). For the season, rainfall has been 1,001% of normal in Karachi.”

All of that rainfall has caused a flooding disaster in the country that is absolutely unprecedented.

In fact, it is being reported that “entire villages” have been completely wiped off the map…

Pakistan’s foreign minister said the calamitous floods gripping the country are ‘a catastrophe on a scale that I have never seen’ as the death toll soared above 1,000 and an area the size of Britain faced going underwater.

Tens of millions of Pakistanis have been forced to flee their homes as entire villages have vanished, with dramatic footage capturing hotel collapses, helicopter rescues and narrow escapes.

I am sitting here trying to picture such a disaster, and I am really having a hard time trying to imagine such a thing.

Pakistan is an enormous nation, and we are being told that one-third of the entire country is currently covered by water…

One-third of Pakistan has been completely submerged by historic flooding, its climate minister says.

Devastating flash floods have washed away roads, homes and crops – leaving a trail of deadly havoc across Pakistan.

“It’s all one big ocean, there’s no dry land to pump the water out,” Sherry Rehman said, calling it a “crisis of unimaginable proportions”.

What a horrible, horrible tragedy.

Needless to say, this is having an enormous impact on agricultural production

situation report from the United Nations stated that nearly 800,000 livestock, a vital food and livelihood source for Pakistanis, have perished amid the monsoon floods. Around 2 million acres of crops and orchards have also been impacted.

I expect those numbers will go even higher as the full extent of the damage becomes clear.

This is yet another very serious blow to the global food supply, and it means that our rapidly growing food crisis is going to get even worse.

There are areas in Africa that are dealing with unprecedented flooding right now as well.

For example, check out what has been going on in Sudan

Sudan is in the midst of yet another round of severe floods, even as much of the Horn of Africa struggles with catastrophic drought.

The Save the Children organization says 83 people have died and another 146,000 have been affected by the flooding. Whole villages have been submerged, with nearly 44,000 homes partially or completely destroyed. People living in the Gezira and River Nile states have required assistance from the British-based NGO.

Authorities in Sudan have declared a state of emergency in a third of the country’s provinces. Central Darfur, South Darfur, and West Darfur also have seen some of the worst impacts.

This is what I mean when I say that global weather patterns have gone completely haywire in 2022.

Much of the planet is either getting way too much rain or way too little rain.

Let me give you another example.

Here in the United States, even as the western half of the country suffers from endless drought we are witnessing crazy flooding along the Mississippi River…

Major flooding across America’s heartland will be around for weeks to come as the Mississippi River surges south.

The deadly onslaught of rising waters and storms has killed more than two dozen people in Missouri and Illinois.

In all, some 7 million people in 15 states were under threat of flooding, according to CNN meteorologists.

So why is this happening?

Is someone trying to tell us something?

All of this drought and all of this flooding are going to be really, really bad for global food production.

The stage is being set for the sort of historic global famines that we have been warned about, and even now food prices are starting to surge dramatically all over the planet.

But most people still don’t seem too alarmed.

In fact, most people still seem entirely convinced that everything will work out just fine somehow.

Hopefully they are correct, because at this point the vast majority of the general population is completely and utterly unprepared for any sort of a major disruption to their current lifestyles.

FOOD COLLAPSE: California’s Ongoing Drought Has Left Over Half a Million Acres of Farmland Unplanted https://americanconservativemovement.com/food-collapse-californias-ongoing-drought-has-left-over-half-a-million-acres-of-farmland-unplanted/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/food-collapse-californias-ongoing-drought-has-left-over-half-a-million-acres-of-farmland-unplanted/#comments Sun, 28 Aug 2022 00:38:11 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=179547 Editor’s Note: We have warned that the food crisis is coming for several months. We were actually late to the game on these warnings, but many are still not heeding them. This is a serious situation with multiple points of failure happening in the “perfect storm” of food crises. If you have the means and the space available, we strongly recommend getting as much long-term storage food as possible so you don’t end up in the government’s future breadlines. Here’s the article by Arsenio Toledo

The ongoing drought in California is keeping over half a million acres of farmland from being utilized.

According to data released by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), there are more than 531,000 acres of unplanted land in California. This constitutes a 36 percent increase from the amount of unplanted land in the state a year ago.

Around a fifth of the unplanted land is fallow – or land that is deliberately left unplanted to help rejuvenate the soil for the next planting season. The rest of the unplanted land is a result of natural disasters such as the ongoing drought. (Related: California’s untilled fields set to double amid water crisis in the state.)

The USDA data reflects how many California farmers are struggling to procure enough water to irrigate their crops as major government water projects supplying their water remain lacking as the drought in the Western United States continues into its third year.

Aaron Smith, professor of agricultural economics at University of California, Davis noted that the crops most affected by the water crisis are water-intensive field crops like rice and cotton, which have been declining for years in the state.

The decline in farmland utilization in California comes as production of certain crops like wheat and corn all over the country is expected to decline due to drought conditions, contributing to food price inflation.

Unplanted land to continue doubling each year the drought continues

The USDA’s report has three different categories for unplanted land: fallow, idle and prevented. The latter category refers specifically to land that can’t be used due to natural disasters, including drought.

In 2020, there were 74,200 acres of prevented land. In 2021, that increased by more than double to 188,800 acres of prevented land. In the latest report, the acres of prevented land once again doubled to 384,200 acres. Experts warned that if drought conditions persist, the number of acres of prevented land could once again double next year.

Analysts further noted that the estimated number of unplanted land is likely based on reports by farmers and only representative of the current crisis, which strongly suggests that the water crisis is much worse.

“When we look at the drought’s impact on agriculture, it’s not only the producers, the farmers that are impacted,” said Navdeep Dhillon, farm program chief for the USDA Farm Service Agency’s California office.

Dhillon noted that the increase in unplanted farmland across the state spells trouble also for harvesters, food processing and distribution centers, food delivery drivers and others.

According to the latest report from the U.S. Drought Monitor, most of California remains in severe or worse drought conditions with no immediate relief in sight. About 17 percent of the state, mostly in the Central Valley region, is classified as being under “exceptional” drought conditions, indicating a very high risk of fire and water shortages.

“That’s going to mean less water available for agriculture in certain parts of the state, most likely,” said Smith. “We will see some reductions in land use and certainly, I would expect less alfalfa, rice, cotton and wheat, which have been declining anyway.”

With things going extremely crazy in the world today, many are starting to wonder if we’re in the Biblical end times. This has been one of the only silver linings to the insanity of western society in 2022; it seems more people are turning to their Bibles for answers. On today’s episode of The JD Rucker Show, I was joined by my lovely and brilliant co-host and wife, Tammy, to discuss the question of whether we’re in the end times.

Rather than opening up our Bibles and trying to see what prophecy says, we instead looked at what’s happening in the world to see if things are really that crazy or if this is just a standard “odd” point in history. In the future, we will do a show that looks at Scripture but today we turned to the news. That really is the only way to do it. But for the purpose of commentary, it’s interesting to see some of the insanity that’s happening around us as we speculate about what it all means.

From rampant animal diseases to Central Bank Digital Currencies, there is no shortage of unprecedented news happening on a daily basis. We selected seven stories, listed below, that highlight an oddity we’re not accustomed to seeing in modern western society.

Sponsors for today’s show can help those concerned about the way the world is heading to prepare for whatever is to come. Check them out.

What Are the Odds? The U.S., Europe, Africa and China Are All Simultaneously Experiencing Droughts of Epic Proportions https://americanconservativemovement.com/what-are-the-odds-the-u-s-europe-africa-and-china-are-all-simultaneously-experiencing-droughts-of-epic-proportions/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/what-are-the-odds-the-u-s-europe-africa-and-china-are-all-simultaneously-experiencing-droughts-of-epic-proportions/#comments Thu, 25 Aug 2022 22:44:54 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=179262 Do you believe in “coincidences”?  There have always been droughts all throughout human history.  So if there were a couple of isolated droughts in 2022, it wouldn’t be a big deal.  But that isn’t what we are facing.  Instead, right now the United States, Europe, Africa and China are all experiencing droughts of epic proportions.  As a result, crops are failing in key agricultural areas all over the globe.  Of course if just one country or one region was experiencing a “historic drought”, agricultural production from the rest of the world could make up for that.  Unfortunately, what we are currently witnessing is truly unprecedented.  For the very first time in modern history, virtually all of the largest economies on the entire planet have been hit by extreme drought conditions simultaneously, and that means that global agricultural production is going to be way below expectations in 2022.

In this article, I would like to start my discussion by taking a look at what is going on in China right now.

Thanks to the endless drought that has gripped the nation, the mighty Yangtze River has fallen to “the lowest for this time of year since records began in 1865”

Wan Jinjun, a 62-year-old retiree who has swum the Yangtze River almost every day for the past decade in Wuhan, said he’s never seen a drought like this before.

An extreme summer has taken a toll on Asia’s longest river, which flows about 3,900 miles (6,300 kilometers) through China and feeds farms that provide much of the country’s food and massive hydroelectric stations, including the Three Gorges Dam — the world’s biggest power plant. A year ago, water lapped almost as high as the riverbank where Wan swims. Now, the level is at the lowest for this time of year since records began in 1865, exposing swathes of sand, rock and oozing brown mud that reeks of rotting fish.

It is being reported that rainfall along the Yangtze River is 45 percent below normal levels, and that is extremely alarming.

Meanwhile, an absolutely monstrous heatwave has been scorching China for the past two months

People in large parts of China have been experiencing two months of extreme heat. Hundreds of places have reported temperatures of more than 40°C (104°F), and many records have been broken. Subway stations have set up rest areas where people can recover from the heat.

On 18 August, the temperature in Chongqing in Sichuan province reached 45°C (113°F), the highest ever recorded in China outside the desert-dominated region of Xinjiang. On 20 August, the temperature in the city didn’t fall below 34.9°C (94.8°F), the highest minimum temperature ever recorded in China in August. The maximum temperature was 43.7°C (110.7°F).

That is hot!

In fact, scientists are telling us that what China is currently experiencing is “the most severe heatwave” in recorded history…

It is the longest and hottest heatwave in China since national records began in 1961. According to weather historian Maximiliano Herrera, who monitors extreme temperatures around the world, it is the most severe heatwave recorded anywhere.

“This combines the most extreme intensity with the most extreme length with an incredibly huge area all at the same time,” he says. “There is nothing in world climatic history which is even minimally comparable to what is happening in China.”

In recent days, factories have been shut down in some areas of China as mandatory power restrictions have been implemented.

Hopefully relief will come soon, because the Chinese desperately need it.

Meanwhile, Europe is enduring the worst drought that it has experienced “in at least 500 years”

Europe is facing its worst drought in at least 500 years, with two-thirds of the continent in a state of alert or warning, reducing inland shipping, electricity production and the yields of certain crops, a European Union agency said on Tuesday.

Earlier this month, I wrote an article about the crippling crop losses that Europe is now facing as a result of this drought.

And today we got even more bad news.  According to Zero Hedge, corn production for the entire EU could be reduced by about one-fifth this year due to a lack of moisture…

Besides the news of record high electricity prices, a troubling new crop failure report about Europe’s upcoming harvest was published Monday. The bloc’s Monitoring Agricultural Resources forecasted corn yields could drop by nearly a fifth due to a devastating drought, according to Bloomberg.

Before we dive into the crop report, Europe’s centuries-old ‘hunger stones’ were recently revealed in the Elbe River, which runs from the mountains of Czechia through Germany to the North Sea. The stones date back to a drought in 1616 and read: “Wenn du mich siehst, dann weine.” That translates to “if you see me, then weep.”

Sadly, conditions are even worse in eastern Africa.

Over the past year, endless drought has resulted in the deaths of at least seven million animals

Seven million livestock in Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia have died since last September due to severe drought conditions, according to a recent report by the US Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Famine Early Warning Systems Network.

“The Washington Post” reported last year that the carcasses of giraffes, goats, camels and droves of cattle were found in villages after starving to death in northern Kenya. Such losses can be ruinous for families, who face food insecurity as a result.

But have you seen any images of these dead animals on the nightly news?

Of course not.

They aren’t telling you what is really going on out there.

Before I end this article, I want to give you an update on what is going on in the United States.

The worst megadrought in 1,200 years has an iron grip on the western half of the country, and it is having an enormous impact on agricultural production.

In fact, it is being reported that in some areas the corn is under such stress that the plants are not even producing ears of grain…

It’s been so dry in parts of Nebraska and South Dakota that corn plants are doing something truly strange: they’re not producing ears of grain.

The stalks, which should be about 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall by this time of year, are withered, browning and short — some are only standing at about 5 feet. Crop scouts set out this week to analyze yields, and in some isolated patches, they actually had trouble finding enough corn ears to measure. While it’s not a widespread problem, the shocking development is an indicator of just how harsh the hot and dry weather has been.

Everything that I have shared in this article is not normal.

That is because we are entering times that are going to be exceedingly abnormal.

Every year, there are always a few parts of the globe that struggle with food production.

But we have never seen it happen simultaneously to so many key areas all over the planet.

Do you really think that what we are witnessing is just a “coincidence”?

If you are willing to believe that, there is a giant bridge on the west coast that I would like to sell you.

Power Grid Collapse Looms: Drought Forcing Drastic Cuts in Hydroelectric Power Generation https://americanconservativemovement.com/power-grid-collapse-looms-drought-forcing-drastic-cuts-in-hydroelectric-power-generation/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/power-grid-collapse-looms-drought-forcing-drastic-cuts-in-hydroelectric-power-generation/#comments Thu, 25 Aug 2022 21:45:58 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=179264 Editor’s Note: There are many conservatives who avoid the topic of drought. It’s crystal clear that we’re in the middle of multiple droughts across the globe, but I often get lambasted in comments for even mentioning it. Until today I couldn’t understand it. Then, I realized that droughts are being used by climate change maniacs to promote their agenda. This must be why many on the right are denying they’re even happening.

They’re definitely happening, but not due to manmade climate change. If there’s anything manmade about them, it would be the manipulations of DARPA or other advanced technological groups working with the globalist elites. I’m not saying that’s definitely what’s happening, but I’d rather look toward conspiracy rather than pretend the problem doesn’t exist.

These droughts are causing massive challenges for both agriculture and energy production. It isn’t just hydroelectric energy production that’s affected. Water is used to cool the mechanisms of other forms of energy production, so if this drought continues we will be hurting in major ways beyond “just” food shortages. I talked about this with my lovely and talented co-host and wife on today’s episode of The JD Rucker Show. Here’s the relevant snippet from the show followed by the article by Mary Villareal from Natural News

Low water levels are already causing problems with crop yields in the western part of the United States. An expansive, decades-long drought is also forcing drastic cuts in hydroelectric power generation.

Water is critical in generating electricity. Around 40 percent of water withdrawals – freshwater taken out of ground or surface water sources – in the U.S. go toward energy production, with a large majority of the shares used to cool down power plants. This process also requires energy to extract, purify, transport and deliver water to different areas.

However, the United Nations Environment Program warned earlier this month that if the dry conditions continue, two of the largest hydroelectric reservoirs in the U.S. – Lake Mead and Lake Powell – could eventually reach “dead pool status.” This means that water levels get too low to flow downstream, stopping energy generation.

The Bureau of Reclamation said that 950 feet is the lowest water elevation at which Lake Mead can generate power. It is currently only at 1,040 feet.

Lake Powell is in an even worse shape. If the water level falls another 32 feet, the dam will no longer be able to generate electricity.

“Water supplies for agriculture, fisheries, ecosystems, industry, cities and energy are no longer stable given anthropogenic climate change,” said Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Camille Calimlim Touton.

Lake Mead fuels the Hoover Dam, which has a power capacity of over 2,080 megawatts, enough for 1.3 million Americans to use in a year. Lake Powell, on the other hand, fuels Glen Canyon Dam, which drives generators that go up to 1,300 megawatts.

When these energy sources stop generating power, there will be bigger problems to face in the next months as the cold weather approaches.

Doug Greenland, general manager of the Cortaro Marana Irrigation District (CMID), said that having low water levels is a big issue. “As an irrigation district, all of our power comes from Hoover Dam and we’re obviously watching the water level there very closely.”

The district supplies water not only to communities in Arizona but also irrigates over 10,000 acres of farmland.

Arizona to buy more expensive energy if dams fail

Lea Marquez Peterson, chairwoman of the Arizona Corporation Commission, said people may not realize that a lot of the inexpensive hydroelectric power from the dams came from the two lakes.

She added that public utilities and rural electric co-ops tend to use the power from hydroelectric dams, and the areas that are served by the co-ops may have to buy more expensive energy if there’s a shortfall on the market.

Arizona allocated nearly 19 percent of the energy generated at Hoover Dam. A study from 2015 showed that customers would see a nominal increase in their electric bills if Glen Canyon Dam stopped producing electricity. However, there is a ripple effect. (Related: A horrifying drought is causing widespread crop failures throughout the United States and Europe.)

Marquez Peterson said those in rural communities, retirees on a fixed income, agricultural users and small businesses who rely on clean utility power can be affected and must be prepared.

The problem is not limited to the U.S. either. Extreme weather around the world is causing all sorts of stresses to energy grids, with France needing to curb output from its nuclear power plants to maintain ideal temperatures and has received allowances to discharge hotter water back into rivers to meet their energy demands.

Low water levels in the Rhine River is also threatening to disrupt coal and gasoline shipments in Germany.

As average temperatures continue to rise, many parts of the globe will see energy demands grow while supplies remain constrained as water remains a key factor for both sides.

A Horrifying Drought Is Causing Widespread Crop Failures Throughout the United States and Europe https://americanconservativemovement.com/a-horrifying-drought-is-causing-widespread-crop-failures-throughout-the-united-states-and-europe/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/a-horrifying-drought-is-causing-widespread-crop-failures-throughout-the-united-states-and-europe/#comments Fri, 12 Aug 2022 20:30:23 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=178256 We really are reaching a major crisis point.  Thanks to soaring fertilizer prices, insane weather patterns and the war in Ukraine, global food supplies have been getting tighter and tighter.  So we really needed a banner year for agricultural production in both the United States and Europe in 2022, and that is not going to happen.  In fact, unprecedented drought is absolutely devastating crops all over the northern hemisphere.  A lot of people are complaining about how high food prices are right now, but just wait.  If some sort of a miracle doesn’t happen, agricultural production is going to be way below expectations in both the United States and Europe, and that is going to have very serious implications for 2023.

Let me start by talking about the nightmare that is starting to unfold in Europe.

According to CNN, it is now being projected that farmers in Italy have lost “up to 80% of their harvest” because the drought has become so severe…

In Italy, farmers in some parts of the country have lost up to 80% of their harvest this year due to severe weather anomalies, the Coldretti farming association said Thursday.

How are those farmers going to survive?

Many farmers in France are facing similar losses because they have only been receiving a fraction of the rainfall that they normally get…

In France, where an intense drought has hammered farmers and prompted widespread limits on freshwater use, there was just 9.7 millimetres (0.38 inches) of rain last month, Meteo France said.

That was 84 percent down on the average levels seen for July between 1991 and 2022, making it the driest month since March 1961, the agency added.

Crop failures in France would be a really, really big deal, because France is normally “the fourth-largest exporter of wheat” in the entire world…

France is the fourth-largest exporter of wheat and among the top five exporters of maize globally. Poor harvests due to drought may heap further pressure on grain supplies after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine caused global shockwaves.

The situation in Germany is also extremely dire.

It is being reported that things are already so bad that some sections of the Rhine River have dropped to dangerously low levels

Germany’s most-important river is running dry as Europe suffers through a drought that is on course to become its worst in 500 years, with terrifying wildfires burning once again in France.

Water levels in the Rhine – which carries 80 per cent of all goods transported by water in Germany, from its industrial heartlands to Dutch ports – are now so low that it could become impassable to barges later this week, threatening vital supplies of oil and coal that the country is relying upon as Russia turns off the gas tap.

Of course the U.S. is dealing with severe drought too.

According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, about half of the nation is experiencing some level of drought at this moment, and we are being told that the ongoing megadrought in the Southwest is the worst in 1,200 years.

Things are particularly bad in Texas.  If you can believe it, Dallas just had a stretch in which they had no measurable rain at all for two straight months

The daily highs in Dallas have been 95 degrees or higher for three straight weeks, much hotter than normal for this time of year. The Dallas-Fort Worth area has even more problems amid an extreme drought going as far back as May 17. One hundred percent of Dallas County is in an extreme drought, while 21 percent of the whole state is experiencing exceptional drought — the most intense category of drought — according to the U.S. Drought Monitor.

A 67-day stretch with no measurable rain came to an end in Dallas on Wednesday when 0.41 of an inch of rain fell. That was the second-longest dry streak at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. The standing record was 85 consecutive days that spanned much of the summer of 2000.

The lack of moisture has been crippling for the state’s absolutely massive agriculture industry.  There are 247,000 farms and ranches in Texas, and nearly all of them are deeply suffering right now…

The drought pressing Texas’ agriculture industry — which is responsible for 10 percent of the state’s gross domestic product — is pushing farmers and ranchers to the brink. The state’s 247,000 farms and ranches covering 127 million acres haven’t had a whole year of rain since 2017. Almost 24 million of Texas’ population lives in drought-facing areas.

As of the first of August, less than 1 percent of the state was not facing some level of drought or abnormal dryness.

At this point, conditions are so dry in Texas that many ranchers have been forced to “panic sell” their herds.  For much more on this, please see my previous article entitled “Ranchers Are Selling Off Their Cattle In Unprecedented Numbers Due To The Drought, And That Has Enormous Implications For 2023”.

Other states in the Southwest are also being hit extremely hard by this drought.

Over in Utah, the size of the Great Salt Lake just continues to get smaller and smaller due to the relentlessly dry conditions…

The warm arid desert in the West certainly had its fair share of the summer heat. Salt Lake City International Airport recorded a high of 100 degrees on July 28, marking the 16th day that month of triple-digit temperatures and breaking the previous record of 15 in July 1960. Last month, the city tied its record for the hottest recorded temperature of 107 degrees for the fourth time, according to NOAA weather data. The other occasions on which the mercury rose to 107 in Salt Lake City were in June 2021, July 2002 and July 1960. Record-keeping began there in 1874.

That intense heat hasn’t just made the residents of Utah sweat though — it has also magnified the ongoing megadrought, which has contributed to the dire state of the Great Salt Lake. Between July 2021 and 2022, the average daily water level of the lake dropped by about one foot, a historic low, and is expected to fall even farther.

There have always been times of drought all throughout history, but in modern times we have never seen the United States and Europe simultaneously experience such a severe drought for such an extended period.

For years I have been warning that we are moving toward a time when global famines will become quite common, and widespread crop failures throughout the western world this year would greatly accelerate that process.

We are being told that a child dies every 11 seconds from malnutrition.

But as food supplies get tighter and tighter, global hunger is going to get far, far worse than it is now.

In 2023, there simply is not going to be enough food for everyone.

I hope that you are getting prepared for that, because next year is just around the corner.

Much of the Southwest Is Turning Into ‘Death Valley’ as Dust Bowl Conditions Return and Water Resources Dry Up https://americanconservativemovement.com/much-of-the-southwest-is-turning-into-death-valley-as-dust-bowl-conditions-return-and-water-resources-dry-up/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/much-of-the-southwest-is-turning-into-death-valley-as-dust-bowl-conditions-return-and-water-resources-dry-up/#respond Thu, 07 Jul 2022 01:23:20 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=175238 The endless drought in the Southwest has become a full-blown national emergency.  If Lake Mead, Lake Powell and the Colorado River keep drying up at the rate they have been, millions of Americans could soon be without water and electricity.  Despite all of our advanced technology, those living in the Southwest continue to be extremely dependent on a handful of critically important water sources, and if those water sources get so low that they cannot be used we are going to have a major crisis on our hands.

The National Park Service says that Death Valley is the hottest and driest place in North America, but the truth is that vast stretches of the Southwest are now starting to resemble Death Valley.

For example, Utah has been dealing with extremely unusual heat in recent weeks and at this point nearly the entire state is officially suffering from either “extreme drought” or “exceptional drought”.

As a result, the Great Salt Lake has been shrinking and the water level has plunged to the lowest level ever recorded

Utah’s Great Salt Lake has hit a new historic low for the second time in less than a year, dipping to a water level of only 4,190ft over the weekend.

The state’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR) said the water levels have sunk past the last record set in October, which at the time had matched a 170-year record low.

DNR officials and weather experts warn that the water levels at the Great Salt Lake are expected to drop even further until fall or early winter as the West contends with an ongoing drought.

Meanwhile, water levels in Lake Mead and Lake Powell continue to fall as well.

If water levels keep sinking in the months ahead, millions of Americans living in the Southwest could soon lose their main source of electricity

Supplies at Lake Mead and Lake Powell are dangerously low, holding just more than a quarter of their total capacities — and threatening the dams’ ability to generate electricity and provide water to its nearly 40 million users. At its highest level, in the 1980s, Lake Mead could have submerged the Empire State Building up to its top floor. Now, water levels have dropped by nearly 200 feet, or 20 stories, exposing a stark white “bathtub ring” around the rocky walls of the perimeter.

The drinking water for millions of Americans is also at risk.

Normally, the Colorado River provides drinking water for approximately 40 million people, but now it is drying up really fast.

And we aren’t talking about a crisis point that is years or even months away.

If California and six other states can’t agree to severe water reductions in less than 60 days, the U.S. government “will do it for them”

California and six other Western states have less than 60 days to pull off a seemingly impossible feat: Cut a multi-way deal to dramatically reduce their consumption of water from the dangerously low Colorado River.

If they don’t, the federal government will do it for them.

Needless to say, the endless drought is also having a massive impact on agriculture.

Normally Kansas grows more wheat than any other state, but this year fields all over western Kansas are in really bad condition

This time of year, the wheat growing in this part of western Kansas should be thigh-high and lush green.

But as a months-long drought continues to parch the region, many fields tell a different story.

“There’s nothing out there. It’s dead,” farmer Vance Ehmke said, surveying a wheat field near his land in Lane County. “It’s just ankle-high straw.”

Most of us don’t think much about where our food comes from, but the truth is that if farmers don’t grow it we don’t get to eat.

And right now many wheat fields in western Kansas “look like barren wastelands”

Across western Kansas, many fields planted with wheat months ago now look like barren wastelands. The gaping spaces between rows of brown, shriveled plants reveal hardened dirt that’s scarred with deep cracks from baking in the sun.

Of all the years for drought to hit western Kansas wheat farmers, it couldn’t have come at a worse time.

There was a period of time last century when we witnessed similar things.

The Dust Bowl days of the 1930s are a very dark chapter in American history, and now those conditions are returning.

In recent years, giant dust storms have become quite common in states such as Arizona and New Mexico, but now they are starting to happen in states as far north as Iowa

Iowa’s News Now Meteorologists Nick Stewart and Rebecca Kopelman captured an impressive view from a haboob in northwest Iowa Thursday night.

A haboob is an intense dust storm. One hit near Little Rock, Iowa Thursday night bringing 70 mile per hour winds and zero visibility.

Normally it is very rare for such a storm to ever happen in Iowa, but thanks to the endless drought there is a tremendous amount of dust that can now be picked up and blown around

Although not impossible to see in Iowa, they are rather uncommon. However, severe to extreme drought in Nebraska, South Dakota, and far western Iowa left a lot of dry soils to be kicked up by Thursday’s intense winds.

For years, I warned that Dust Bowl conditions would return, and now it has happened.

We are being told that the Southwest is in the midst of the worst “megadrought” in 1,200 years, and there is no end in sight.

So there will be more water restrictions. And unless something changes, electricity generation in the Southwest will become a major issue. But I am most concerned about the impact that this drought will have on ranchers and farmers. So much of our food is normally grown in the Southwest, but without sufficient water that simply is not going to be possible.
