So please don’t try to convince me that this is normal.  Of course it isn’t just the state of California that is experiencing an unusual number of natural disasters.  As I have been warning for a long time, our entire planet is becoming increasingly unstable.

Early on Thursday morning, residents of southern California were shaken by a magnitude 4.7 earthquake

A large, 4.7-magnitude earthquake rattled parts of Southern California early Thursday, according to the US Geological Survey.

The quake struck the Malibu area around 7:28 a.m. with an initial magnitude of 5.1, officials said. It has since been downgraded to 4.7.

The epicenter of this quake was in Malibu, but people living all over the Los Angeles area could feel it

The 7:28 a.m. quake was centered in the Malibu area. Shaking from the earthquake was reported in Malibu, Hermosa Beach, La Mirada, Anaheim, the Hollywood Hills and parts of the San Fernando Valley so far.

I even saw one report that indicated that the earthquake could be felt all the way down in San Diego. Following the initial quake, there were over two dozen aftershocks.

By itself, this latest earthquake wouldn’t be that big of a deal, because very little damage was done.

What makes it important is the larger pattern that we have been witnessing.  According to USGS seismologist Lucy Jones, the number of “magnitude-4 sequences” that we have seen so far this year is the highest ever recorded

In a televised Q&A just after the temblor, USGS seismologist Lucy Jones said: “We have had more than the average [number of] magnitude-4 quakes in Southern California this year — the average being about eight magnitude-4 sequences, that being sequences of at least one magniture-4 … So far we’ve had 14 in Southern California; the largest previous year was 13.”

So what does all of this mean? Is all of this seismic activity in southern California building up to something?

If you ask one scientist you will get one answer, and if you ask another scientist you will get another answer.

But pretty much all of them agree that “the Big One” is way overdue.

When “the Big One” finally arrives, life in southern California will never be the same again.

At the same time that all of this shaking is taking place in southern California, wildfires in the region are burning tens of thousands of acres.

Firefighters are battling three major wildfires at this moment, and it is being reported that the Bridge Fire has now “exploded” and has become “the largest active fire in the state”

A raging wildfire in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties has exploded to almost 50,000 acres, forcing residents to flee in a hurry and destroying dozens of homes.

The Bridge Fire has set over 51,000 acres ablaze and is 0% contained, officials said Thursday. Its rapid growth made it the largest active fire in the state, surpassing the Line Fire, which is also burning in San Bernardino and has scorched another 37,000 acres with 18% containment.

One evacuee described a harrowing scene on Tuesday as flames reached a neighborhood atop California’s Mt. Baldy. Looking at the mountain from afar, “it looked like a nuke went off, nothing but smoke,” Liz Wenzel said.

Can you imagine looking back at where your home once stood and seeing that it looks “like a nuke went off”?

What a tragedy.

You may be thinking that there are wildfires in California every year, and you would be quite correct. But what we are witnessing this year is particularly horrible.

We are being told that the state has already “seen nearly three times as much acreage burn than during all of 2023″…

California is only now heading into the teeth of the wildfire season but already has seen nearly three times as much acreage burn than during all of 2023. The wildfires have threatened tens of thousands of homes and other structures across Southern California since they accelerated during a triple-digit heat wave over the weekend.

Just think about that for a moment.

The number of acres that has burned in California is already three times higher than all of last year, and we are just now entering the heart of wildfire season for the state.

Of course we are also seeing lots of very unusual things happen elsewhere around the world too.

For instance, the number of hailstorms in Europe appears to be increasing at an exponential rate

Having analysed the European Severe Weather Database, Chaucer said that the number of hailstorms has jumped 104% to 11,808 storms last year (year-ending June 30th 2024), up from 5,785 in 2022/23.

That certainly isn’t good.

And earlier today I came across a story about a landslide in Greenland that caused a mega-tsunami that “shook the Earth for nine straight days”

After a mountaintop collapsed into the sea in Greenland, a ‘mega-tsunami’ as tall as a skyscraper shook the Earth for nine straight days, baffling scientists around the world.

No one was injured by the landslide or resulting tsunami, but the 650-foot-tall wave destroyed roughly $200,000 worth of infrastructure at an unoccupied research station on Ella Island.

We all live on a giant space rock that is hurtling through space at 67,000 miles per hour.

All throughout history, the giant space rock that we live on has been unstable, but now things seem to be getting a lot worse.

I am entirely convinced that we are entering a time when we will see cataclysmic geophysical events that would have once been absolutely unthinkable to most people.

In other words, if you have always wondered what it would be like to be inside an epic Hollywood disaster movie, you are about to get your chance.

So buckle up and hold on tight, because a tremendous amount of shaking is ahead of us.

The Ground Is “Moving” So Rapidly in One Part of Southern California That a “State of Emergency” Has Been Declared https://americanconservativemovement.com/the-ground-is-moving-so-rapidly-in-one-part-of-southern-california-that-a-state-of-emergency-has-been-declared/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/the-ground-is-moving-so-rapidly-in-one-part-of-southern-california-that-a-state-of-emergency-has-been-declared/#respond Wed, 04 Sep 2024 01:22:07 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/the-ground-is-moving-so-rapidly-in-one-part-of-southern-california-that-a-state-of-emergency-has-been-declared/ (End of the American Dream)—If the ground under your feet is moving “up to 10 inches a week”, that might be a sign that it is time to relocate.  What is currently taking place in Rancho Palos Verdes is perhaps the most extreme example of the geophysical instability that is plaguing much of the state of California at this point.  Rancho Palos Verdes is about 30 miles away from downtown Los Angeles, and the constant “land movement” in that community is busting gas lines, causing homes to sink, and creating enormous cracks in the roads.  If you were to walk through Rancho Palos Verdes right now, you would see that it currently looks like something out of a science fiction movie.

The ground has been moving in that area for quite some time, but in recent months the rate of movement has accelerated significantly.

On Monday, authorities announced that another 105 homes would have their power cut off because emergency repairs are required

More than 100 additional homes in Rancho Palos Verdes will have their power cut because of worsening landslides in the area, city officials said Monday.

This time, 105 of the 270 homes in the Seaview neighborhood will see the lights turned off as of 7 p.m. Monday, officials said. The shifting earth puts electrical equipment at risk and could spark a wildfire among other dangers if power lines are electrified, officials said.

The day before that, authorities shut off the power to 140 other homes

This is the second power shut-off in as many days in the area, a peninsula about 30 miles south of downtown Los Angeles famous for its sea breezes, gorgeous views, and expensive homes. On Sunday, officials shut off power to 140 homes in the Portuguese Bend area of Rancho Palos Verdes, about a mile up the coast. In that case, officials also issued an evacuation warning, meaning residents had to prepare to leave should they be ordered to do so.

What we are witnessing is absolutely insane.

This is one of the most beautiful areas of the entire state, but the constant geophysical instability is making it extremely difficult for people to live there.

According to city council member David Bradley, the ground is now moving “up to 10 inches a week”

“The movement has accelerated dramatically over the last 12 months, where some areas are moving up to 10 inches a week,” said city council member David Bradley. “You can almost see the ground move.”

How can you ever feel secure if the ground all around you is constantly moving?

On Tuesday, California Governor Gavin Newsom finally declared a state of emergency

California Gov. Gavin Newsom proclaimed a state of emergency on Tuesday for the city of Rancho Palos Verdes amid the ongoing land movement threatening hundreds of homes.

The proclamation, issued early Tuesday afternoon, comes as the city works frantically to mitigate the damage from the slow-motion natural disaster, which has displaced many residents and caused officials to shut off electricity indefinitely to hundreds of homes in the community.

The truth is that a state of emergency should have been declared a long time ago.

The entire community is slowly but surely being pushed into the ocean.

As I discussed in a previous article, a “stunning new stretch of shoreline” has been created because so much of the ground in Rancho Palos Verdes has been dumped into the ocean…

Even still, months after the movement began, earth continues to shift, creating an unexpected and stunning new stretch of shoreline near Rancho Palos Verdes.

“Somebody said, ‘Oh, you know there’s a new beach.’ It’s not really a beach yet,” said city geologist Mike Phipps. “A beach typically has sand on it. This is just literally landslide debris, a lot of rocks being pushed up and out of the surf.”

It didn’t take years for this to happen.

According to CBS News, there is an “astonishing” difference when viewing photographs of the shoreline “pre-2024 and six months later”…

A few month’s difference is astonishing when viewing side-by-side photos of the shoreline pre-2024 and six months later, with a few hundred feet of new rocky shore that formed as the land continues to move, piling up under the water’s edge.

“What’s happening is, the ground is rising up and coming up, right through the ocean and lifting it up out of the ocean,” Phipps said.

So why is all of this important?

In 2024, there has been a tremendous amount of seismic activity all over the “Ring of Fire” which runs roughly along the perimeter of the Pacific Ocean.

Of course the entire California coastline sits directly along the “Ring of Fire”.

In just the last 7 days, there have been more than 900 earthquakes in California and Nevada.

Thankfully, “the Big One” has not materialized yet, but scientists assure us that it is eventually coming

The infamous but elusive possibility of a devastatingly large earthquake known as “The Big One” always comes to mind when a significant quake strikes in California.

But there’s actually several devastating quakes that will eventually hit the state.

The USGS estimates that within the next three decades, there’s about a 46% chance an earthquake of magnitude 7 will hit in the Los Angeles area, and a 51% chance it will happen in the Bay Area.

The chances of a 7.5 magnitude quake are 31% in the Los Angeles area and 20% in the San Francisco area in the next 30 years.

We could see a magnitude 7 earthquake hit the state tomorrow.

And that would certainly cause a tremendous amount of damage.

But the great California earthquake that I have been warning about will literally change the geography of the state when it suddenly strikes.

The clock is ticking, and there have been plenty of warnings.

Unfortunately, “the Big One” has become a punchline to most of the people currently living in the state, but they won’t be joking when that fateful day finally arrives.

Why Has the United States Been Shaken by So Many Unusual Earthquakes Lately? https://americanconservativemovement.com/why-has-the-united-states-been-shaken-by-so-many-unusual-earthquakes-lately/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/why-has-the-united-states-been-shaken-by-so-many-unusual-earthquakes-lately/#respond Thu, 08 Aug 2024 12:46:13 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=210285 (The Economic Collapse Blog)—It is getting very difficult to ignore all of the shaking that is going on.  Over the past few months, there have been very unusual earthquakes all over the United States.  As you will see below, there have been noteworthy quakes on the west coast, on the east coast, near our northern border, and near our southern border.

Of course all of this comes at a time when the entire planet is being shaken by unusual seismic activity.  Is all of this unusual seismic activity building up to something?  If so, what does that mean for all of us?

On Tuesday night, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake that shook southern California made headlines all over the nation

An earthquake northwest of Los Angeles shook a large swath of Southern California on Tuesday night, but there were no immediate reports of damage.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the 5.2 magnitude temblor struck at 9:09 p.m. and was centered near Mettler, an unincorporated area in Kern County about 85 miles (137 kilometers) from downtown Los Angeles.

Following the quake, Dr. Lucy Jones went on television and revealed that her initial assessment was that the quake was not associated with any known fault. I thought that was quite strange.

Another earthquake expert named Ole Kaven agreed with that assessment, but he did note that this particular area is known for earthquakes

There isn’t a known fault in the area where the earthquake struck on Tuesday night, but it’s still an area known for earthquakes, said Ole Kaven, U.S. Geological Survey research geophysicist.

The shaking was felt over a very large area.

In fact, it was being reported that this earthquake was felt by those living “in Ventura, Simi Valley, Camarillo, Santa Clarita, Encino, Hollywood, Santa Monica, North Hollywood and Woodland Hills”.

Subsequently, there have been more than 200 aftershocks in that same region…

There have been more than 277 aftershocks to Tuesday’s magnitude 5.2 earthquake in Southern California, two with a magnitude 4.0 or greater – but the likelihood of another, larger shock is still low, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

“Seeing a lot of these smaller events that slow over time is very normal,” said Ole Kaven, a research geophysicist with USGS.

Hopefully things will settle down soon. But it is just a matter of time before the earthquakes return.

For more than a decade, I have been specifically warning about what will happen to the state of California when “the Big One” finally strikes.

Scientists assure us that “the Big One” is overdue, and the damage that it will cause will be off the charts.

California is known for earthquakes, but we are also seeing significant shaking in areas of the country that are not known for earthquakes. For example, the state of New Jersey has been shaken by more than 200 earthquakes over the past three months…

It’s not known for being a hotspot for earthquakes.

But New Jersey has been rattled by more than 200 tremors in the past three months.

In the middle of the country, a magnitude 2.9 earthquake was just recorded directly under Lake Michigan

As an earthquake nut, I thought I had seen it all. An earthquake Friday proves that I still haven’t. The USGS has confirmed there was an earthquake under Lake Michigan Friday which was felt by many in Wisconsin.

The USGS confirms that an earthquake large enough to be felt by dozens in Wisconsin happened at 9:18am and was centered under Lake Michigan.

This bizarre earthquake registered 2.9 on the Richter Scale and was reportedly felt by many near Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

We will want to keep a very close eye on any seismic activity around the Great Lakes, because it could have very serious implications for the city of Chicago at some point in the future.

Meanwhile, so many earthquakes have been happening in one county in Texas that a state of emergency was formally declared

So many earthquakes have struck the west Texas county of Scurry in the past week – more than 100 at last count – local officials have declared a state of emergency.

Scurry County Judge Dan Hicks wrote in his Friday declaration of disaster that since the first earthquake, registering magnitude 4.9, was felt the night of July 22, “damage has been found throughout Scurry County in businesses and residences.”

In my previous article entitled “5 Reasons Why You Should Be Prepping Like Crazy Right Now”, I warned that natural disasters would be a major theme during the second half of this year and beyond.

Of course there are a lot of other reasons why so many people are feverishly preparing for “the perfect storm” that is now upon us.

Global events are starting to spin out of control, and there is a tremendous amount of concern about what is coming next.

Earlier today, I came across a CNN article that discussed the fact that many among the elite are now constructing “21st century fortresses” in anticipation of what is ahead…

Few things appear to soothe the existential anxieties of the super-rich like a bunker designed to withstand anything short of total nuclear Armageddon. Yet it’s no longer enough for the security-conscious billionaire to stick an impenetrable safe room in the basement where it might sit empty forever. In today’s uber-prime properties, bunkers have gone seriously upmarket and hi-tech, in some cases growing to the extent that whole homes are becoming 21st century fortresses.

“We’ve seen a lot more of a focus on entertainment,” said Al Corbi, who has been at the forefront of secure luxury for 50 years as the president and founder of SAFE (Strategically Armored & Fortified Environments), based in Virginia, in the US. “If you’re going to be able to survive underground, we want you to be having fun.”

Do you think that those elitists are going too far?

I don’t.

We have entered a time of tremendous political chaos, global war, worldwide food shortages, deadly pestilences and historic natural disasters.

If you are wise, you will be working extremely hard to get prepared for what is coming too.

A “Great Swarm” of Earthquakes Off the Washington Coast Is Raising Concerns That the Cascadia Subduction Zone Could Blow https://americanconservativemovement.com/a-great-swarm-of-earthquakes-off-the-washington-coast-is-raising-concerns-that-the-cascadia-subduction-zone-could-blow/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/a-great-swarm-of-earthquakes-off-the-washington-coast-is-raising-concerns-that-the-cascadia-subduction-zone-could-blow/#respond Fri, 15 Mar 2024 06:17:39 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=201922 (End of the American Dream)—An area off the coast of Washington state is being shaken by hundreds and hundreds of earthquakes.  So is this an indication of potential trouble for the Cascadia Subduction Zone?  At this point, there is so much that we don’t know.  Scientists are telling us that the quakes are centered around a large underwater volcano.  The underwater volcano does not pose a threat at all, but if an enormous earthquake along the Cascadia Subduction Zone were to trigger a giant tsunami that slams into the west coast, that would be a historic disaster of epic proportions.

The frequency of the earthquakes that we are witnessing off the coast of Washington is extremely alarming.

It is being reported that earlier this month there were “as many as 200 in a single hour”

Scientists have detected a ‘great swarm’ of earthquakes off the coast of Washington clocking as many as 200 in a single hour during one day.

That is a lot of quakes!

According to one of the experts that has been monitoring this area, there were over 2,000 earthquakes in a single day…

“It’s about 10 times as active as it normally is,” said Jesse Hutchinson, a junior staff scientist with ONC, an ocean observation facility based at the University of Victoria.

He said more than 2,000 earthquakes had been detected in one day.

Why haven’t we heard more about this?

If I was living on the west coast, I would definitely want this to be in the news.

We are being told that this “great swarm” of earthquakes potentially means that a “magmatic rupture” is imminent…

The ‘great swarm’ of earthquakes followed multiple days of increasingly frequent quakes, according to Ocean Networks Canada (ONC), which is collecting the data for researchers to study.

The spike indicated a possible ‘impending magmatic rupture,’ the research group reported.

A magmatic rupture, which occurs when the Earth’s crust splits open for some reason and spills molten rock out, is a natural phenomena that can form new ocean floor, according to Zoe Krauss, a marine seismology PhD candidate at the University of Washington.

A “magmatic rupture” would not be a problem.

But what happens if this area continues to shake violently and eventually an extremely large earthquake is triggered along the Cascadia Subduction Zone?

As Popular Mechanics has accurately observed, that would create the sort of disaster that very few people would want to see…

In this case, there are two opposing forces: the North American Plate, an enormous tectonic plate that carries the entire continental United States on its back, versus the 90,000-square-mile Juan de Fuca Plate, located in the ocean off Washington, Oregon, and Northern California. For the past 200 million years, these two have been squaring off in an epic wrestling match in an area known as the Cascadia Subduction Zone, or CSZ. Trust us, nobody wants to see the end of this round. Yet only a few people seem truly bothered: seismologists, emergency management professionals, and those who have experienced earthquakes before.

It’s certain that the Northwest will experience a devastating earthquake again, says Chris Goldfinger, an oceanographer at Oregon State University and one of the world’s leading experts on subduction zone earthquakes. “We have no idea of the timing and how urgent it is,” Goldfinger tells Pop Mech. “People tend to ignore it in that case.” The majority of the public, as well as most governments in the Northwest, aren’t yet pushing to implement the extensive infrastructure changes and early-warning communications systems needed to save tens of thousands of lives.

Such an earthquake could potentially create a colossal tsunami that is hundreds of feet high.

A tsunami of that magnitude would cause destruction on a scale that most of us cannot even imagine right now.

In 2015, the former head of FEMA’s Region X was quoted by the New Yorker as saying that “everything west of Interstate 5 will be toast”

If the entire zone gives way at once, an event that seismologists call a full-margin rupture, the magnitude will be somewhere between 8.7 and 9.2. That’s the very big one.

…By the time the shaking has ceased and the tsunami has receded, the region will be unrecognizable. Kenneth Murphy, who directs FEMA’s Region X, the division responsible for Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska, says, “Our operating assumption is that everything west of Interstate 5 will be toast.”

In the Pacific Northwest, everything west of Interstate 5 covers some hundred and forty thousand square miles, including Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, Eugene, Salem (the capital city of Oregon), Olympia (the capital of Washington), and some seven million people.

It would be the greatest natural disaster in the entire recorded history of our nation up to that point.

Sadly, it is inevitable that great natural disasters will come.  Our planet is becoming so unstable, and we are seeing very strange things happen all over the globe.

For example, very long and very deep cracks in the ground have started to appear in Libya

Unusually large and deep earth cracks have suddenly appeared in an agricultural region south of Tripoli, causing alarm among the local population. In response, the Libyan government has initiated an investigation and dispatched a specialized geological team from the Ministry of Local Governance to conduct thorough surveys of the affected areas, particularly focusing on agricultural lands.

Parallelly, the Libyan Ministry of Environment and their Environmental Affairs Monitoring Department in “Al-Sbeea” are taking the lead in overseeing and documenting the ground cracks. This concerted effort aims to compile a detailed report, which will serve as a critical tool in understanding the origins, implications, and potential risks posed by the fissures.

And we have reached a stage where we are constantly witnessing unusual shaking all over the globe.

Just yesterday, a magnitude 3.8 earthquake rattled a very large area in northern Israel

Residents of northern and central Israel reported feeling an earthquake on Wednesday, Israeli media reported.

The Geological Institute reported that the earthquake felt by northern residents had a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale, and occurred at a depth of approximately 17 km.

There were reports that the earthquake was felt in Tiberias, the Jordan Valley, Karmiel, Haifa, and the Hadera area. Some felt the earthquake even further south in areas such as Rehovot and Modi’in.

Today, a magnitude 5.8 earthquake that shook the Fukushima prefecture in Japan made lots of headlines

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.8 hit eastern Japan early on Friday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.

The epicentre of the earthquake was off the coast of Fukushima prefecture, where strong tremors were recorded, the agency said, adding that a tsunami warning had not been issued.

As I discuss in my latest book entitled “Chaos”, I believe that we are entering the most tumultuous period in all of human history.

And natural disasters will be a big part of that.

If I was living on the west coast, I would be watching what is happening very closely.

Because one of these days disaster will finally strike, and large numbers of people living along the coast will needlessly die.

California and Nevada Have Been Rocked by 945 Earthquakes in Just the Past Week https://americanconservativemovement.com/california-and-nevada-have-been-rocked-by-945-earthquakes-in-just-the-past-week/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/california-and-nevada-have-been-rocked-by-945-earthquakes-in-just-the-past-week/#comments Tue, 13 Feb 2024 07:51:12 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=201089 (End of the American Dream)—Have you noticed that the state of California has been getting absolutely monkey-hammered by earthquakes lately?  According to the Southern California Earthquake Data Center, California and Nevada have been hit by a total of 945 earthquakes within the last seven days.  That is a whole lot of shaking!  As you can see from this map, southern California has been getting pummeled more than anywhere else.

Could it be possible that the trillions of gallons of rain that were dumped on the region earlier this month have something to do with all of this?  As I have discussed previously, scientists have determined that flooding can put an enormous amount of stress on fault lines.  And without a doubt we have seen an unusual level of activity along California’s fault lines in recent days.

13 significant earthquakes, including one measuring magnitude 4.8, shook the state very early on Monday morning in a span of just 25 minutes

Parts of California were hit by more than a dozen earthquakes overnight, with 13 shaking the state during a span of just 25 minutes.

“Good morning Southern California! Did you feel the magnitude 4.8 earthquake about two miles north-west of El Centro at 12.36am? The #ShakeAlert system was activated,” the United States Geological Survey Shake Alert account posted on X.

The good news is that none of the earthquakes were large enough to do much damage. But the magnitude 4.8 quake was keenly felt by some local residents

Although some near the area said they hadn’t felt the tremors, one X user wrote: “Definitely felt much stronger than a 4.8.” Another added: “Earthquake swarms just as I was about to go to bed. strong enough for things to fall and break. sadly, a few broken decorations.”

When people hear about earthquakes in California, most immediately think of the San Andreas fault system, but it was actually the San Jacinto fault system that caused most of the problems early on Monday…

The quakes appear to have been caused by the San Jacinto fault system, meteorologists have said. It is one of the most active faults in southern California.

Overall, the USGS says that there have been 27 significant quakes of at least magnitude 2.5 that have hit the state within the past 24 hours.

That certainly isn’t anything to freak out about, but it is definitely noteworthy.

And all of this activity comes just a few days after a magnitude 4.6 earthquake shook up the wealthy residents of Malibu…

A magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck about 8 miles northwest of Malibu on Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake was reported at 1:47 p.m., the USGS website said. It occurred at a geological depth of 13.9 kilometers, or nearly 9 miles.

The USGS is reporting at least a dozen aftershocks, with the largest measuring at a magnitude of 3.0.

We haven’t seen this sort of sustained seismic activity in southern California in a long time.

Is something very unusual starting to happen?

Let’s keep a very close eye on the numbers coming from the Southern California Earthquake Data Center. If the number of quakes in a week rises above 1,000 and stays there, I would say that there is cause for alarm.

As I wrote about earlier this month, scientists assure us that we are way overdue for “the Big One”.

When it finally arrives, the ground on the western side of a major fault line could suddenly drop by several feet (or more), and because much of that area is just barely above sea level that could potentially allow the Pacific Ocean to come rushing in.

Let us hope that nothing like that happens any time soon. But right now the flooding that has recently occurred in the region is putting a tremendous amount of stress on the fault lines.

Unfortunately, it can take a long time for extra water to disappear.

Just look at what has happened in Death Valley.  Hurricane Hilary dumped so much rain on the area last August that it actually created a lake, and it is still there after all this time

A lake has formed in an area of the US considered one of the driest places on earth seven months after it was battered by storms. Death Valley National Park, California, holds the record for the hottest temperature ever recorded on July 10, 1913, according to the World Meteorological Organization, at 134 degrees.

However, despite being the driest place in North America, a lake which formed after Hurricane Hilary in August 2023 has yet to fully dry up. Death Valley typically receives about 2 inches of rain per year, however, the official weather gauge at Furnace Creek has measured 4.9 inches in the past six months. On August 20 last year, over a years worth of rain fell in one day with 2.2 inches being measured.

I never would have imagined it would be possible for a lake to exist in Death Valley for six months.

But we do not live in normal times.

Speaking of that, we are being warned that the Gulf Stream is in danger of shutting down in the not too distant future

In the 2004 film The Day After Tomorrow, humanity is plunged into a nightmarish international storm that sends the planet into a new ice age.

And although the blockbuster was consigned to the realms of sci-fi, the science behind the frightening scenario is true.

In a matter of years, melting glaciers could shut down the Gulf Stream – the system of currents that brings warmth to the northern hemisphere, experts say.

Without this additional heat source, average temperatures could drop by several degrees in North America, parts of Asia and Europe, and people would see ‘severe and cascading consequences around the world’.

Can you imagine what our world would look like if that actually happened?

Much of Europe and North America would no longer be able to grow crops, and global famine would be guaranteed.

A lot of people would rather not think about such matters.

But just because things have been a certain way in the past does not mean that they will continue to be that way in the future.

We really are on the verge of apocalyptic times, and global events will soon turn all of our lives completely upside down.

Sadly, most of the population isn’t paying much attention to what is happening, and for the moment ignorance is bliss.

It Looks Like “The Gates of Hell” Have Opened in Iceland as Our Planet Continues to Tremble in Wild and Unpredictable Ways https://americanconservativemovement.com/it-looks-like-the-gates-of-hell-have-opened-in-iceland-as-our-planet-continues-to-tremble-in-wild-and-unpredictable-ways/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/it-looks-like-the-gates-of-hell-have-opened-in-iceland-as-our-planet-continues-to-tremble-in-wild-and-unpredictable-ways/#comments Wed, 20 Dec 2023 11:32:07 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=199554 (End of the American Dream)—Those that insist that what is happening to our planet is perfectly “normal” suffered another blow on Tuesday when we witnessed an absolutely massive volcanic eruption in Iceland.  Since it sits directly along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Iceland experiences quite a bit of seismic activity, but one prominent volcanologist named Porvaldur Póroarson is warning that the eruption that just took place is “a different creature” from anything we have ever seen before.  The eruption on the Reykjanes peninsula sent fountains of lava shooting up to 330 feet into the air, and residents of Reykjavik are being warned that toxic gas is heading their way

Icelanders in the country’s capital Reykjavik have been warned that gas pollution is likely to head their way ‘within hours’.

Residents in the town of Grindavik were evacuated last month after thousands of earthquakes hinted that the Fagradalsfjall volcano was about to blow.

And it finally did just that last night, sending 330-foot-high lava fountains spurting into the sky out of a 4km-long fissure stretching across Sundhnúkagígar.

Can you imagine how much force must be necessary in order to throw giant plumes of lava 330 feet into the air?

For those that were traveling to and from Iceland at the time of the eruption, it certainly looked like “the gates of hell” had opened up…

Holidaymakers watched the gates of hell open up beneath them as they took-off and landed in Iceland during the nation’s volcanic eruption that sent molten lava spewing into the black sky from fissures in the ground.

Astonishing footage showed holidaymakers bound for Suomi in Finland flying over the volcano, with rivers of orange magma flowing over Iceland in a spectacular show of Earth’s power in the land known for fire and ice.

Other tourists on board an Icelander flight from Keflavik airport to Berlin and another to Copenhagen were this morning met with the same astonishing views, with the molten lava seen spewing into the air from below and snaking its way across the Reykjanes peninsula.

From a safe distance, this eruption is definitely quite beautiful.

But what does this tell us about what is happening deep inside our planet right now?

For those that once lived in that area, life will never be the same again.

We are being told that this is a “worst-case scenario” because this eruption has happened very close to a very important geothermal power plant…

A volcano in the southwestern region of Iceland erupted on Monday, sending geysers of hot lava as high as 330 feet. The eruption was located near the Svartsengi geothermal power plant near the town of Grindavík, which was evacuated last month over an increase in seismic activity, the NY Times reports.

“We are looking at a worst-case scenario,” said Icelanding volcanologist, Thorvaldur Thordarson, adding “The eruption appears big, and only about two kilometers from major infrastructure.

Meanwhile, northern China was just hit by a magnitude 6.2 earthquake, and more than 100 deaths have already been confirmed

The Chinese Communist Party has documented the deaths of 127 people as of press time Tuesday and hundreds of injuries as a result of a series of earthquakes in northern Gansu province, the largest of which measured 6.2 magnitude.

The death toll already makes it the deadliest earthquake in China since 2010 and is expected to grow as several of the injured are in critical condition and many locals are missing under rubble.

Have you noticed that large quakes have been popping off all over the planet in recent months?

This is not normal.

It is being reported that this was “China’s deadliest earthquake in years”, and a tremendous amount of damage has been done because it struck a highly populated area…

Nearly the entire local population was indoors at the time of the quake because it happened in the middle of the night

The largest earthquake reportedly struck around 3 a.m. local time – meaning most people were in their homes when it occurred – and reportedly destroyed “thousands” of residences, leaving thousands displaced in the dead of winter. Gansu is located in north-central China, bordering Inner Mongolia and typically experiences brutally cold winters.

Unfortunately, this is just the beginning.

There will be a lot more major earthquakes.

And there will be a lot more unusual volcanic eruptions.

A lot of people, including myself, are convinced that all of this shaking is related to the dramatic increase in solar activity that we have been witnessing.

Just days ago, the sun unleashed a giant flare which was “likely one of the largest solar radio events ever recorded”

“This is likely one of the largest solar radio events ever recorded,” NOAA wrote Thursday in a report regarding the flare, which is caused by localized explosions on the sun’s surface that expel intense bursts of electromagnetic radiation.

The alarming solar event occurred Thursday after an active sunspot named AR 3514 erupted with a large class X.28 solar flare — the most powerful variety that the sun is capable of producing, as seen in ominous photos captured by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory.

It was the most intense blast our star had generated since September 2017.

This solar cycle has been far more intense than the experts were anticipating. And this solar cycle isn’t even supposed to peak until next year at the earliest.

I am expecting even more solar chaos during the months ahead, and that will likely mean an even higher level of seismic activity all over the planet.

So buckle up and hold on tight, because there is going to be a whole lot of shaking going on.
