Historically, the CCP has been known to weaponize its food supply, which it has done against millions of its own citizens, resulting in mass starvation and suffering. But today, it appears the communist government is stockpiling food, indeed, making it a major national security priority for its people. Why?

Tommy Waller, president and CEO of the Washington, D.C.-based think tank the Center for Security Policy, says most Americans do not understand that “food security is national security”. And that currently, the safety of American citizens is, indeed, being jeopardized by the U.S. government. The retired Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, in an interview with WND, explained that “at the federal level, our nation has catastrophically failed to prioritize food security while all of our adversaries, both hostile nations and globalists, have had their crosshairs on food for quite a while.”

For example, Waller said, in stark contrast to “having no problem starving its own people,” the Chinese government has an entire agency called the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration. It is largely responsible for laws and regulations that oversee grain and material reserves of the East Asian country.

In statistics often touted by members of the Chinese regime, Waller said, “China’s grain inventories are so abundant that the stock-to-use ratio is well above the international grain security threshold.”

“The U. S. government has not put a major priority on food security or preparedness,” Waller warned. In contrast to the Chinese regime’s prioritizing strategic reserves of food, he told WND, “under the Biden administration, the USDA and FEMA have transitioned from a culture of preparedness to priorities of diversity, equity and inclusion – DEI – and climate change.”

What’s more, he said, the Biden administration has incentivized many farmers to reprioritize the use of their land away from cultivating it for food production. Through the Conservation Reserve Program, he explained, “farmers are getting paid more to get their land into the program as opposed to farming it.” While he conceded there are some benefits to the program, he also pointed out that farmers are producing less food as a result, and this diminishes America’s food security.

“Less than two percent of our population produces food for everybody else in this country,” Waller noted. “The average American isn’t prepared to go without food for any duration, so you can see the importance of keeping our farmers farming.”

“Take away farming and you take away food,” he said starkly, while warning that the average person is extremely unprepared for shortages of food. “They just take it for granted, and it’s understandable because we’ve always had it very easy in this country,” Waller said, but warning about one scenario in which Americans could find themselves hungry right away: “That number one scenario is a loss of electricity caused by widespread electric grid blackouts.”

Waller’s interest in food security, he said, steadily grew due to his work to secure America’s electric grid. “All of the infrastructure we have is dependent upon electricity,” he said. “When considering the second and third order effects of electric grid outages, you can see how food becomes a very significant item of importance.”

“Most Americans don’t think twice about paying for home insurance, automobile insurance, life insurance, but for whatever reason, they don’t think about food insurance,” Waller told WND. “They don’t think about stocking up.”

While the federal government may be failing to stress the importance of preparedness, Waller attests that food security “is the one area where individual people and their communities could actually enhance national security,” adding that the lack of preparedness is “a fixable problem, if we are smart about our policies and more.”

In a 41-page report, the Center for Security Policy has published recommendations to bolster food security at the federal, state, local and individual level. With little action at the federal level, he said, it is important for Americans to do what they can at the state and local, as well as individual levels.

For example, the Center, which has a 20-year track record of helping state governments shape policies to bolster national security, is actively supporting numerous lawmakers seeking to outlaw agricultural land from being owned by foreign adversaries. The security-oriented nonprofit also promotes the concept of community-supported agriculture and the importance of citizens purchasing their food from local farmers. “By helping sustain their work,” Waller told WND, “it’s going to create more resilience at the community level.”

“Everything the Center for Security Policy does is for the public interest,” Waller said. “We exist to provide uncompromised analysis, unflinching leadership and unconventional solutions to keep Americans safer,” he explained, adding that “there are no corporations behind what we are doing.” He shared that CSP can also “provide threat briefings at the county level for emergency managers and law enforcement”.

Ultimately, as Waller explained, “food security is national security, and everyone – from citizens to lawmakers – can do their part to increase both.”

How to Protect Your Food and Medical Freedoms https://americanconservativemovement.com/how-to-protect-your-food-and-medical-freedoms/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/how-to-protect-your-food-and-medical-freedoms/#respond Wed, 03 Jul 2024 13:08:20 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=209491 (Brownstone Institute)—In my previous articles, we looked at the global war on farmers, the organizations pushing for the Great Food Reset, the tactics used to foist these changes on the public, the projects underway to remove your access to healthy, farm-fresh foods, the mRNA, RNA, and DNA gene therapies entering our food supply, and how the One Health agenda threatens to destroy both food freedom and medical freedom.

So what can we do about it?

The good news is that there are many things we can do. Some of these solutions may sound extreme or inconvenient. But I am guessing many of you chose wildly inconvenient and deeply courageous paths to protect yourselves, your families, and your patients during the Covid psyop, and to avoid being injected with mRNA shots. The substances you take in through your digestive tract can be just as harmful as those that come through a needle.

Do not give in. Do not comply. Do not take the convenient route. It leads to serfdom.

  1. Get involved. Start speaking up about this issue to the people around you.
  1. Stop eating processed foods. They are an addictive poison and only becoming more poisonous.
  1. Join the movement to defund and disband the USDA, the FDA, and your state’s Department of Agriculture. Support bills that limit their power.
  1. Abandon the grocery store. At a minimum, aim to spend at least 50% of your food budget on food direct from local farms.
  1. Find local farms whose husbandry practices meet your requirements. Tour the farm and ask questions – what pesticides do you use? Do you vaccinate your animals? Are your cows 100% grass-fed? Where do you source your feed grains? Do you put any additives in your raw milk, and do you process your own meat? What chemicals are used in your meat processing? When you find a compatible farm, aim to purchase as much of your food as possible from them. You can find local farms at localharvest.org or through a local chapter of the Weston A Price Foundation. If you can’t find compatible farms locally, you can find farms that will deliver to your area at FarmMatch.com.
  1. Support raw milk farmers in your state, and defend their right to produce it, even if you don’t personally drink raw milk. The government bureaucrats view raw milk as the tip of the food freedom spear and believe that if they lose the battle against raw milk, they could lose the food freedom battle entirely. Let’s prove them right. If you want to find a local source of raw milk, visit getrawmilk.com.
  1. Build a local parallel society of like-minded people committed to supporting local food producers and looking out for each other in the challenging times ahead. This is crucial! When the truly hard times hit, it is too late to begin building community. Develop and strengthen your social bonds now, particularly in your local area.
  1. Vote with your wallet while you still have that option. Use cash when you can to prevent your purchases from being tracked and used against you. If your local farmer will take payment in non-fiat currency, even better.
  1. When a retail central bank digital currency launches and cash is phased out, or when states begin to crack down on food purchases that violate the planetary health paradigm, we’re going to need to be ready to transact in alternate currencies. It’s time to start brainstorming and testing payments in cryptocurrencies, pre-1965 silver quarters and dimes (known as junk silver), or by barter. Be creative and get started now.
  1. Plant your own garden. Study permaculture. It’s a lot easier to ramp up an existing garden with the knowledge you have gained from years of trial and error than it is to start from scratch when you really need it.
  1. Create your own seed vault of heirloom, non-GMO seeds. You can buy them or save seeds from your garden every year. Buy heirloom seeds from trustworthy sources like True Leaf Market.
  1. Get your own backyard chickens and find a local trustworthy feed source. Ask your local pastured chicken farmer where he gets his feed, or if he’s willing to sell some to you.
  1. Buy a large freezer if you can and stock up on frozen fruits and vegetables from farmers you can trust during the growing season.
  1. If you can’t afford a freezer, you can probably afford a couple of grow lights, seed-starting trays, organic potting soil, and seeds. Grow your own microgreens all winter for a small daily salad. They’re nutritious, taste good, and can be harvested in as little as a week. If you can’t afford that, get seeds and a sprout jar, and grow sprouts.
  1. Don’t blindly trust USDA-inspected meat and eggs. It’s a deep rabbit hole you’re welcome to go down, but eggs are washed with chemicals that leave them porous – absorbing those chemicals like chlorine, ammonia, and peracetic acid – and then the eggs are coated with soybean oil, canola oil, or other toxic seed oils which also absorb into the egg white. Don’t see it on the label? Anything that’s an “industry standard” doesn’t need to be listed on the packaging. For meat, that means your beef, pork, goat, chicken, and turkey are soaked with peracetic acid, GMO citric acid, chlorine, lauric acid, or other chemicals. Many of these substances are banned for food use in Europe yet required here. Amish farmer Amos Miller’s battle with the USDA has largely been about his refusal to spray so-called citric acid on his meat, which the USDA mandates for chicken processed in their slaughterhouses unless you want to use bleach or peracetic acid. You’d be excused for thinking commercial citric acid comes from citrus fruit. Instead, it is made from black mold and GMO corn. It is manufactured in China and then sprayed on almost all meat sold in grocery stores in the United States. Black mold is a known allergen and likely causes autoimmune disease. If feasible, only get your meat from dissident farmers committed to pasture-raised, GMO-free, vaccine-free meat and poultry who process meat without chemical additives.
  1. If you feel you can’t afford food like this, consider where your money is going, and if you can rearrange your priorities. It is possible you can barter labor for food with your local farmer. Be prepared to work hard. Also, recognize that the money you spend on truly nutritious food is money you won’t be spending later on medical bills.
  1. Constitutional sheriffs have played a key role in protecting farmers in several states when bureaucrats attempted to shut them down for selling raw milk and processing their own meat. If you live in a state that still recognizes the constitutional role of sheriffs, get to know your county’s sheriff and find out if he is willing to support the rights of local farms against state and federal agencies. If he is not, find someone to run against him who will.
  1. Call your congressman and senators to ask them to co-sponsor the PRIME Act. This bill would not fix everything, but it would remove many of the federal obstacles to pushing for agricultural reforms on a state and local level.
  1. Spread the word to everyone you know about what is happening to our food supply. If we all refuse to comply, the scheme is guaranteed to fail.

We are at a crossroads: if we fight now, we can build a future where local farm-to-table networks feed us, and where we choose for ourselves what we want to put in our bodies. If we ignore the plan set out by the global elites for control of our bodies through diet, injections, and injunctions, we do so at great peril. Your health and your family’s health are at stake. Please join the movement to protect both medical freedom and food freedom, as we fight to hold fast to these fundamental rights for future generations.

You’d think, since everyone needs to eat, this critical component of human existence would be exempt from bureaucratic oversight; but no. Instead, we’re being led to believe that food production is somehow evil and must be scaled back for the good of the planet. After all, control the food and you control the people.

The battle starts with how food is cooked. We’re all familiar with the government’s war on gas stoves, one of the most popular methods for cooking food. Knowing full well that outright bans won’t work, the Biden administration is rolling out increased “efficiency” standards for new models that are effectively impossible to achieve. The push is to electrify everything, despite the increased strain this agenda places on an already fragile grid.

Now it’s being hinted that cooking food itself is bad. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a quarter of all air pollution comes from cooking food. “If you can smell it, there’s a good chance it’s impacting air quality,” we’re told. At fault are “primarily oxygenated VOCs, or volatile organic compounds.” It’s not farfetched to conclude that if a government agency says something is impacting air quality, then soon it will be under tighter regulation. “[B]ased on the new findings, cooking emissions could be the single largest missing source of urban VOCs in current air quality models, which could have important ramifications for air quality management,” notes the article.

Let’s consider the plethora of mysterious disasters impacting food production facilities. The latest is a fire at one of the nation’s largest free-range egg facilities that killed millions of chickens. But this is just one of a long, long, long list of similar disasters that are destroying, one by one, the business of feeding humans.

Now, of course, we’re dealing with the whole avian flu panic, in which millions upon millions of chickens are being destroyed on the basis of questionable testing methodologies. Right now the news headlines focus on commercial facilities; what’s less well-known is that backyard flocks are also being tested. We all know where this will lead. Already in the U.K., all chicken owners will soon be forced to register with the government or face up to six months in prison or a £5,000 fine. The state of Maryland also requires poultry registration. And in Wisconsin, if you own poultry or other livestock, you must register your land.

Of course, the potential for bird flu leaping to cows is putting the dairy industry in the crosshairs at a time when America’s dairy cow replacement inventory is at a two-decade low.

Even home-grown food is not exempt. Most people are familiar with Pennsylvania’s vicious war against Amish farmer Amos Miller for the crime of selling fresh food to eager customers. Attorney Robert Barnes sums it up succinctly: “Let me explain what the #AmosMiller case is about after a court conference. The @PAAgriculture claims ALL food is ‘illegal’ – as illegal as illegal drugs – unless it was made by a government-approved facility, and they can destroy it at will.”

But don’t think your backyard gardens are immune. A Guardian piece entitled “Carbon footprint of homegrown food five times greater than those grown conventionally” strives to conclude that backyard gardens are bad for the planet, and suggests farming should be left to the professionals.

Additionally, a couple years ago, “experts” at the University Medical Center Mainz in Germany suddenly issued an “urgent” warning that gardening can cause heart disease by exposing people to harmful soil pollutants.

According to The Sun, “Gardeners have been warned that their habit could leave them at an increased risk of heart disease. Medics found that pollutants in the soil could have a ‘detrimental effect on the cardiovascular system.’ The results of the analysis pushed experts to recommend that people wear a face mask, if they are in close contact with the soil. Experts at the University Medical Center Mainz, Germany said pollution of air, water and soil is responsible for at least nine million deaths each year. They highlighted that more than 60 per cent of pollution-related deaths are due to heart issues such as strokes, heart attacks, heart rhythm disorders and chronic ischaemic heart disease.”

In fact, Europe has spent the last few years embroiled in violent protests against increased government regulations that were putting farmers out of business. The Netherlands planned to “compulsory purchase” and close up to 3,000 farms to comply with EU environmental rules. Ireland is set on cutting its dairy herds by 10%, meaning about 200,000 cows will be culled for no other reason that cow farts are bad for the environment.

And who can forget the disastrous collapse of Sri Lankan agriculture after the government forcibly scaled back the use of non-organic fertilizer?

To top it off, did you know the United Nations is working with banks to destroy the American farming industry? Their method is to impose ESG (environmental, social, and corporate governance) criteria to score and penalize farmers. The U.N.-organized Net-Zero Banking Alliance is demanding net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture. Farmers who can’t or won’t comply are being de-banked by having their accounts shut down without notice or explanation.

And on and on it goes: headline after headline after headline. Agriculture, in which humans have been engaged for thousands of years, is now being deemed dangerous and wrong in the eyes of well-fed bureaucratic idiots who are determined to make food unaffordable and/or unavailable for the huge majority of the global population who aren’t wealthy. Oh, and if the U.N. has its way, anyone who criticizes the anti-human agenda will be silenced.

But that’s OK. The vast majority of the global population is, in the eyes of the elites, useless eaters anyway. The sooner they are removed from the picture – by whatever means possible – the better they’ll like it. If this isn’t the epitome of evil, I don’t know what is.

Should the majority of useless eaters be phased out of existence, who will serve the elites after the planet is depopulated and returned to some mythical Eden? Who will grow the food, manufacture the goods and clean the toilets for the overlords? When I posed that hypothetical question to my husband, his answer was succinct and accurate: “These are the people who would rather rule in hell than serve in heaven.”

Hell on earth may be coming a lot sooner than most people realize, if the global war on food continues. The need for food is something even the elites cannot escape.

Today, it’s quickly becoming a reality as attacks on our food supply ramp up.

The latest version of the government takeover of food is happening in Pennsylvania where Amos Miller is being attacked for supplying his friends and neighbors with fresh food. According to famed attorney Robert Barnes:

Let me explain what the #AmosMiller case is about after a court conference. The @PAAgriculture claims ALL food is “illegal” — as illegal as illegal drugs — unless it was made by a government-approved facility, and they can destroy it at will.

Miller is the Amish farmer who sells products like raw milk. This is a threat to the monopoly on what we digest that government and their cronies are trying to establish, so they’ve gone full-blown police state on him.

According to left-leaning Newsweek:

Representative Thomas Massie, who called the raid “shameful” last month, told Newsweek in a Wednesday statement, “It’s a shame that small farmers have been pushed into these situations by overbearing government regulatory agencies and lawmakers captured by corporations and monopolies.”

The Kentucky Republican continued: “I support all small farmers and consumers who wish to engage in voluntary transactions. It’s imperative that Congress take up my PRIME Act to ameliorate the plight of small farmers like Amos.” Massie’s bill seeks to exempt meat products from federal inspection after slaughter and preparation at a custom facility.

Donald Trump Jr. also weighed in on last month’s raid, writing in a post on X (formerly Twitter), “Imagine what law enforcement could accomplish if they went after oh I don’t know, say, members of elite pedophile rings rather than farmers selling to their neighbors??? Can I be the only person sick of this s***?”

He is scheduled to appear in court on February 29th. A GiveSendGo has raised over $240,000 so far.

In a survey conducted by impact technology company Divert Inc, only 25 percent of respondents were more likely to donate during this holiday season because of the escalating cost of food and groceries. Moreover, the survey found that the current economic climate has led 72 percent of Americans to alter their grocery shopping habits, with 51 percent stating that rising grocery prices are forcing them to cut costs in other areas.

Even the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a major supporter of food bank supplies, is also grappling with inflation, making it more challenging to purchase food for charitable purposes. The results of Divert’s survey mirror the current situation of several food banks in the country.

Feeding America, a nonprofit organization overseeing a network of over 200 food banks across the country, reveals that over 150 of their food banks reported increased or steady demand earlier this year as food prices surged. In Wisconsin’s Milwaukee County, a network of 47 food pantries noted a 50 percent increase in visits. Food banks in Morgan, Oregon also experienced a similar surge in demand.

Feeding America COO Katie Fitzgerald cited the combination of increased demand, decreased supply and high inflation as reasons behind a “perfect storm for long lines at the bank.” Soaring food prices and a drop in donations have left many food bank warehouses thinly stocked.

She further disclosed that food banks originally received donations from manufacturers with surplus supplies. But with fewer public donations, food banks are forced to purchase more food themselves. Based on the group’s data, there was a seven percent decrease in donated food in the year ending June compared to the previous year and 18 percent more pounds of food from July to September 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.

Food banks can’t help hungry Americans anymore

Food inflation has become a defining narrative of 2022, with the price of Thanksgiving staple turkey alone increasing by 17 percent in September of that year. Several reports from consumer surveys and analyses have revealed that food insecurity and grocery shopping capabilities not only affect American food banks but also American households. In the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, the River of Life food pantry led by Pastor John Brzozowski used to serve meals to 35 people every two months. Now, the demand has increased and they are serving 60 people. The community faces a higher demand for food assistance, with many individuals visiting multiple food banks each week.

While the pantry continues to provide for those in need, the quantity of items offered has decreased. For example, clients may only get one meat item instead of two, The impact of the challenging pandemic, ongoing inflation and a general sense of uncertainty about the future is evident on the faces of families seeking help – with some are approaching a food bank for the first time.

Eric Cooper, president of the San Antonio Food Bank, revealed that these families have been struggling for a while, and the pandemic has pushed them further.

“With the demand being so great, the supply being so short, and inflation being high, it’s just a perfect storm for long lines at the bank. We’re still pressing forward to make sure we can make it happen for those families. But the reality is we’re having to substitute … every day right now,” he said.

Whether through distrust of our financial futures or by heeding the warnings of conspiracy theorists, it behooves Americans to build up their accessible food supplies as soon as possible. This should be a top priority, which means if you have to cancel your Netflix subscription to squeeze out a little more food to store away, please consider doing so.

Before I get into more details, let me say that I absolutely understand not everyone is in a position to stock up on a ton of food. Many of us are struggling just to get today’s meal on the table, let alone next week, next month, or next year. Then, there’s the challenge of storing large amounts of food when space is at a premium. I get it and I’m empathetic, but I strongly encourage everyone in tough situations to seek ways to make self-reliance possible. Whether we want to admit it or not, there is a food war being waged against us. You can attribute it to whoever you’d like but acknowledge that food is being used to control us and risks will only get worse in the near future.

As Henry Kissinger famously noted, “Who controls the food supply controls the people.”

While we witness massive challenges that are putting our future food security in jeopardy, we also have to take into account sudden catastrophic collapses as not only possible but likely. We’ve seen strange weather all winter that makes it difficult or even impossible for some to get to the grocery store. The supply chain has been in a constant state of flux for nearly two years. Bird flu, strange mass deaths of cows, attacks on our power grid, fertilizer shortages, farms being bought up by the Chinese Communist Party… the list of events that put America’s food systems at major risk seems to be growing every week.

It’s important to note that I have never been a “Chicken Little” when it comes to this stuff. I laughed at the hysteria surrounding Y2K. I didn’t freak out and run for the hills after 9/11. The economic downturn of 2008/09 made me tighten up my finances but I didn’t run out to buy a bunch of gold at that point. The rise of Obamacare was the first event that prompted me to buy a couple of bugout bags, just in case. I was lambasting people for stockpiling a year’s supply of toilet paper in the early days of the Covid lockdown. The point I’m trying to make is I have been a steady hand for decades, never succumbing to paranoia or heeding false alarms of impending doom.

Today, I’m ringing the VERY REAL alarm bells about food security because the writing on the wall is undeniable. That’s why I consider myself to be a “Late Prepper.” It’s okay to be late as long as we act quickly.

Now, let’s get into the details. First and foremost, I strongly recommend everyone stock up on food they want to eat first. Make sure you have plenty of food that you eat regularly. There’s no point in getting a year’s worth of long-term storage food if your pantry and refrigerator are bare. Stock up heavily on the foods you and your family will eat whether there are food shortages or not. Get it built up to a reasonable amount and then start rotating with new purchases.

For example, if you know your family will eat six cans of soup for lunch per week, get to a three-month supply of your favorite soups. Then, start replenishing this supply with six more cans rotated in every week. If you have a heavy week and you eat eight cans, replenish with eight more. Repeat this process with all of the various foods you eat that have a good shelf-life.

As preppers have been saying for years, take advantage of sales. With the canned soup example, it wasn’t too long ago when I could get each can for under a buck. In my area today, I can’t find a basic can of soup for under $2. Stocking up is harder now than it was, so getting bulk when the price is right makes the most sense.

As for perishable foods, there’s always a risk of buying too much and wasting it. With food prices where they are and the assumption that they’ll get even worse, nobody should be wasting any food at all. One increasingly common practice is to freeze dry extra foods. It’s expensive up front but in the long-term a properly utilized freeze dryer will pay for itself. We recommend Harvest Right freeze dryers for this. Canning is also a popular option. I’m not a fan of dehydrating foods (which is a shift since just a few months ago I was recommending it) because the quality loss is just too great. Some foods are fine to dehydrate but most of them just aren’t very edible.

For those cannot or do not want to freeze dry their own food, buying packaged freeze dried food is an option. It can be expensive; I had major sticker shock the first time I went to buy freeze dried strawberries.

There’s also a quality concern as some of the “budget” brands of freeze dried fruits and vegetables get low quality leftovers and package them up in hopes that by the time anyone every opens them, the apocalypse will have come and their customer service line will have been shut down. Once your pantry is full of food you actually eat and you could survive without having to leave the house for weeks or even months, then it’s time to get into long-term storage. It’s unfortunate that many prepper websites recommend stocking up for three months. It seems like a long time but if there’s a full-blown food crisis those three months will go by fast. I’m a big fan of no-limit food prepping. In other words, when people ask me for how long they should stock up food, my answer is, “Longer than whatever you have now.”

That’s not a copout answer. Unless you’re sitting in a bunker with three decades worth of long-term storage food filling up your stockpile rooms, then there’s always a need for more. Cans and other shelf-stable foods can last for years. Properly contained frozen meat can technically last indefinitely though the quality drops dramatically after being in the freezer for a year. Meals-Ready-to-Eat (MREs) can last five to ten years from their packing date. Build your food supply with these and calculate how long you could survive without government assistance should there be a total societal collapse.

Do I think it will come to that? Eventually, but in the near-term it seems hard times that fall short of collapse is more likely. Better to be safe than sorry, especially when we consider that this is food we will eat over time anyway. Don’t get a bunch of food that will go to waste if our nation’s trajectory miraculously improves. Rotate, rotate, rotate.

All that I’ve discussed so far is advice for those who are currently living like most Americans in cities or suburbs. Ideally, we’ll be moving away from such places and getting situated in the relative safety of rural America. That’s when we can get into the best way to dramatically improve our food security: By making our own. Those with the means and a healthy concern for their future should consider living where they can grow food, raise livestock, and be completely self-reliant. There are other concerns that arise from embracing such a lifestyle, but food security is mostly alleviated when you control the sources of your own food.

For those of us stuck in or near the city and with various restrictions that make complete self-reliance impossible, we can still grow something. Our own food-growing adventures in my family with a tiny backyard showed that it’s not always easy, but it’s worthwhile. We failed after four attempts to grow avocado trees. We also failed with most of our other crops in grow bags, but we’ve been wildly successful with tomatoes. I imagine others will have better fortunes growing foods than we did, but unfortunately I cannot speak from experience.

At least we have plenty of tomatoes.

Last but not least, there’s the “easy button.” For those who just want to buy a few months supply of long-term storage food in buckets that they can stash in the closet for when the crap hits the fan, I have multiple options of various price-ranges on my food page. I do NOT want to sound like a fearmonger. I pray that none of this will be necessary and things can go back to normal. I’m just not very hopeful that it will. But never forget that through the doom and gloom, there really is a bright future ahead. For Bible-believing Christians, the future we see is one in which the hardest of times are followed by a wonderful eternity.

In early June 2022, the government of The Netherlands announced it would cut the size of livestock herds in the country by 30% to meet European Union nitrogen and ammonia pollution rules.1,2 As a result of this “green” policy, many farmers will be driven out of business3 and they have gathered in protest across the country.

This is important because many may not realize that even though The Netherlands is a small country, it’s the second-largest exporter of agriculture in the world, after the United States.4 As with current energy shortages, the forced reductions in farming and food production are said to be an “unavoidable” part of the Green Agenda to improve air, soil and water quality.5

In a public statement about the new emissions targets, the Dutch government even admitted that “The honest message … is that not all farmers can continue their business.”6 Those who do continue will have to come up with creative solutions to meet the new emissions restrictions.

A Clear Case of Corruption?

The restrictions on nitrogen for livestock farmers have befuddled many. Why would government restrict farming at a time when food shortages and famine loom on the horizon worldwide? Some claim to have discovered conflicts of interest within the Dutch government that can help explain this irrational move.7

The newly assigned Minister for Nature and Nitrogen Policy (who created the nitrogen regulations and is responsible for overseeing the cuts to farming), Christianne van der Wal-Zeggelink, is married to Piet van der Wal, who together with his brother, Bouke van der Wal, own a massive supermarket chain called Boni.

As noted by The Conservative Treehouse,8 “when Dutch farmers sell product to Boni they are directly funding the wealth of the government minister who seeks to destroy their livelihoods.”

The van der Wal family is also heavily invested in a major online grocery retailer called Picnic. Picnic buys food at wholesale prices directly from Boni, which minimizes its operational costs. Picnic basically functions as a home delivery service for Boni.

In September 2021, Bill Gates entered the Dutch enterprise. He invested an estimated half-billion dollars into Picnic, thereby becoming one of its lead investors.9 Not surprisingly, Picnic focuses on selling the fake “food” that Gates is invested in and promotes, imitation beef in particular.

The CEO of Picnic, Michiel Muller, a Dutch climate change activist, has also publicly vowed to “change the entire food system” to be in line with sustainable goals,10 which falls right in line with Gates’ agenda.

The strong recommendation to replace beef with fake meat was made in Gates’ book “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster: The Solutions We Have and the Breakthroughs We Need,” released in February 2021.11 In an interview with MIT Technology Review, he also suggested that people could learn to like fake meat and, if resistance continues, regulations may be needed to force the switch.12

According to The Countersignal,13 “many participating in the ongoing farmers’ protests in Holland have openly stated they believe Gates may be partly responsible for pushing additional climate laws.” Curiously, July 10, 2022, a large Picnic delivery facility in Almelo, Holland, burned to the ground under mysterious circumstances.14,15,16

Why Get Rid of Farmers Amid Rising Food Insecurity?

The attempt to rid The Netherlands of livestock farmers really only makes sense if seen from the globalists’ point of view, with an eye on The Great Reset, the Green New Deal, Agenda 2030 and related Sustainable Development Goals.

Indeed, according to Dutch Parliament member Thierry Baudet (video above), that’s really what the nitrogen restrictions are all about. The Dutch government is following the script of The Great Reset, he says, which requires weakening the country, making it less independent and more dependent on food imports.

The Great Reset script also calls for diluting nationalism and weakening borders by taking in more immigrants, and to make room for immigrant housing, they need to take land from the farmers. So, the new nitrogen rules are basically a precursor to a land grab. They intend to put farmers out of business so they can take their land and stack it full of low-income, government-assistance apartment buildings.

Aside from that, farmers also pose a threat to the technocratic elitists because they don’t need to rely on government for basics such as food and shelter, and they can allow those who buy their food to maintain their independence as well.

The globalists’ plan is to eliminate access to as much real food as possible, and replace natural foods with patented foodstuffs so that the population becomes entirely dependent on them for survival. At that point, they are easily controlled. Eliminating independent food producers — farmers — is therefore a key to the globalist cabal’s eventual success.

Gates Gobbles Up Farmland While Pushing Fake Foods

At the same time the Dutch government is preparing to radically restrict livestock farming and meat production — likely with Gates’ blessing, if not due to his influence — Gates is gobbling up farmland back home.

Despite land prices being at a record-high, Gates purchased a 2,100-acre potato farm in North Dakota in June 2022, bringing the total land share held by the Gates’ Red River Trust above 270,000 acres — up from about 242,000 acres in mid-September 2021.

The following map, from AgWeb,17 shows the distribution of his land holdings prior to his North Dakota acquisition. As you can see, the vast majority is farmland.

Gates Plan: Turn Farmers Into Modern Serfs

However, as reported by AgWeb at the end of June 2022, Gates didn’t get a warm welcome:18

“North Dakota hosts ‘corporate farming laws’ that barres [sic] corporations and limited liability companies from owning and leasing farms and ranches. With the Gates’s new $13.5 million farmland purchase, North Dakotans — including the attorney general — are concerned the sale violates the state’s law. The North Dakota attorney general’s office sent a letter to the Red River Trust on Tuesday, alerting the trustee of the North Dakota land law.

‘Our office needs to confirm how your company uses this land and whether this use meets any of the statutory exceptions, such as the business purpose exception,’ wrote Drew Wrigley, North Dakota attorney general.”

MoneyWise19 followed up on the story, reporting that by July 5, 2022, Gates had secured legal approval for his farm purchase — a decision that has raised the ire of many North Dakotans who don’t believe Gates has good intentions.

According to MoneyWise, “The anti-corporate farming law does allow individual trusts to own farmland if it is leased to farmers — and that’s what Gates’ firm plans to do.” Viewed from the perspective of The Great Reset, it appears Gates may be engaged in the same kind of subversive wealth-shift scheme as BlackRock and other investment groups that are buying up single-family homes.

They buy them, often sight-unseen and at above-market prices, with the intent of turning them into rentals. This too is part and parcel of The Great Reset and the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

The intent is to eliminate all private ownership and turn the population into modern serfs. “Serf” is a term that describes people who are required to work for the “lord” who owns the land they live on, or who are otherwise underpaid, overworked or exploited in some way.

That’ll be all of us, one day, if the world doesn’t wake up and refuse to go along with the globalist cabal’s Great Reset plans. The plight of the Dutch farmers is just the beginning.
