Interview – American Conservative Movement https://americanconservativemovement.com American exceptionalism isn't dead. It just needs to be embraced. Harris answered over a dozen questions during the pre-recorded interview.

Harris’ running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz joined Harris for the interview, a move which many Republicans, including former President Donald Trump, criticized.

Here’s a look at some of the statements Harris made during her interview.

1. ‘Diversity of Opinion’

The current vice president, a lifelong progressive Democrat, sought to appeal to moderate voters, even telling Bash she would appoint a Republican to her cabinet in the interest of “diversity of opinion.”

“I have spent my career inviting diversity of opinion,” Harris said.

Harris’ record, however, indicates her invitation for diverse options is limited.

While Harris was serving as California attorney general in 2016, California investigators searched pro-life activist David Daleiden’s home. Daleiden had recorded undercover video of Planned Parenthood.

“The fact that Ms. Harris is seizing private property of a pro-life California activist who has exposed horrific practices conducted by Planned Parenthood … is a conflict of interest and abuse of government power,” Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony List, said at the time.

Harris has also been accused of targeting conservative organizations because under her leadership as attorney general, California required organizations receiving donations to “file copies of their federal IRS Form 990 tax forms,” according to America First Legal.

“These forms include a list of all donors who contributed at least $5,000 to the charity in a given year,” the legal group explains. But, in 2021, the Supreme Court held in the case of Americans for Prosperity Foundation v. Bonta that mandatory disclosures were a violation of the First Amendment.

America First Legal says it believes that Harris may have “sought donor information about her political enemies without complying with federal law designed to protect donor privacy.”

2. Immigration and Southern Border

President Joe Biden tasked Harris in the third month of his presidency with “leading the administration’s diplomatic efforts to address the root causes of migration from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras,” according to a White House fact sheet.

But as Bash pointed out during her interview with Harris, a historic number of illegal aliens have arrived on America’s southern border under the Biden-Harris administration.

“Why did the Biden-Harris administration wait three and a half years to implement sweeping asylum restrictions?” Bash asked, referencing Biden’s executive order giving him authority to close the border when the seven-day average of daily border crossings between ports of entry exceeds 2,500.

Harris did not address Biden’s executive order but told Bash that “the number of immigrants coming from that region has actually reduced since we began that work,” referring to her work to address the root causes of immigration from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.

Since March 2021, U.S. Customs and Border Protection says the Border Patrol has encountered over 1.9 million illegal aliens from El Salvador, Guatemala, or Honduras along the southern border, the same number of total illegal aliens the agency said it encountered during all four fiscal years of the Trump administration.

Between the start of fiscal year 2017 on Oct. 1, 2016, and the end of fiscal year 2020 on Sept. 30, 2020, which represents most of the time Donald Trump was president, the Border Patrol encountered a total of 1,952,654 illegal aliens from nations around the world at the southern border, according to CBP data.

When combined, the number of encounters of illegal aliens from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras fell to 25,011 in June, a new low not seen since Trump’s last month in office.

3. Fracking

Bash reminded Harris Thursday night that in 2019, Harris said “there is no question I’m in favor of banning fracking,”

“Do you still want to ban fracking?”

“No, and I made that clear on the debate stage in 2020 that I would not ban fracking,” Harris said. “As vice president I did not ban fracking, as president I will not ban fracking.”

During her debate with then Vice President Mike Pence in 2020, Harris twice said, “Joe Biden will not ban fracking.”

4. ‘Opportunity Economy’

The economy and inflation remain the top issues for voters in the 2024 election. If elected, Harris says she will begin “implementing my plan for what I call an opportunity economy” on day one.

The Democratic candidate’s economic plan includes “what we’re going to do to bring down the cost of everyday goods, what we’re going to do to invest in America’s small businesses, what we’re going to do to invest in families, for example, extending the child tax credit to $6,000 for families for the first year of their child’s life,” Harris said. “There’s the work that we’re going to do that is about investing in the American family around affordable housing, a big issue in our country right now.”

But Harris’ economic plan has all the elements of “21st-century socialism,” according to Daniel Lacalle, economist and fund manager. In a recent column for The Daily Signal, Lacalle says Harris’ plan to raise taxes on corporations and the wealthy will result in “more inflation, a hidden tax, for you.”

“Following the Harris plan, the United States public debt will likely increase by $24 trillion in a decade,” according to Lacalle.

America’s national debt has increased over $7 trillion since the start of the Biden-Harris administration.

You Had One Job: Kamala Blows Pre-Taped Interview Question With Walz Right Next to Her https://americanconservativemovement.com/you-had-one-job-kamala-blows-pre-taped-interview-question-with-walz-right-next-to-her/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/you-had-one-job-kamala-blows-pre-taped-interview-question-with-walz-right-next-to-her/#respond Fri, 30 Aug 2024 03:55:34 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/you-had-one-job-kamala-blows-pre-taped-interview-question-with-walz-right-next-to-her/ (Zero Hedge)—Kamala Harris had one job – don’t blow your first sit-down interview with the press. No word salad. No ‘unburdened by what has been’ mantra. Don’t cackle to cover up for a lack of brain cells.

She couldn’t even do that…

Sitting down with running mate Tim Walz for a pre-taped CNN interview set to air at 9 PM Thursday, a preview clip reveals she’s still an absolute moron.

Dana Bash (whose CIA ex-husband signed the Hunter Biden disinfo letter) tossed Harris what should have been a well-rehearsed softball; asking how voters should “look at some of the changes you’ve made.”

Is it because you have more experience now and you’ve learned more about the information? Is it because you were running for president in a Democratic primary? And should they feel comfortable and confident that what you’re saying now is going to be your policy moving forward?

In other words, why shouldn’t you believe you’re full of shit over your dramatic shift in positions towards moderate policies?

There are a million ways to answer that spoon-fed question, but Harris chose more word salad.

I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed,” she replied. “You mentioned the Green New Deal. I have always believed – and I have worked on it – that the climate crisis is real, that it is an urgent matter to which we should apply metrics that include holding ourselves to deadlines around time.

Yes, deadlines around time.

The reactions were classic…

At least the debate on the 10th should be entertaining, to say the least!

Now We KNOW Why Katie Hobbs Won’t Debate Kari Lake https://americanconservativemovement.com/now-we-know-why-katie-hobbs-wont-debate-kari-lake/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/now-we-know-why-katie-hobbs-wont-debate-kari-lake/#comments Mon, 17 Oct 2022 07:14:14 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=183433 Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake has built a reputation for being very direct when answering questions. It doesn’t matter if it’s a supporter she meets on the campaign trail or a Democrat-friendly corporate journalist. They ask. She answers. She doesn’t mince words and she doesn’t deflect.

Her opponent, Democrat Katie Hobbs, is the diametric opposite. If she were asked what color the sky is she’d answer it something like this: “Look, weather patterns and climate change have an impact on what appears in the sky at any given moment. Arizonans shouldn’t be forced to pick a color based on something arbitrary like what they see with their own eyes.”

In case you think that’s hyperbole, listen to her “answers” to very fair questions posed by CNN’s Dana Bash:

As Sundance over at The Conservative Treehouse noted, the interview was so bad CNN didn’t even publish a replay:

After CNN’s Dana Bash failed in her effort to make Arizona Republican Candidate Kari Lake look bad in an interview, Lake’s opponent Katie Hobbs came on the broadcast.  The difference between professional Kari Lake and the up-talking nonsense of Katie Hobbs is stark.

This is the first time I have watched Ms. Hobbs during a broadcast election interview, and it does not come as a surprise to see CNN not upload the outcome onto their YouTube channel for additional attention and replay.  Hobbs is a complete ideological idiot, and I don’t say that lightly.  How this woman is even being considered to become a governor is beyond my comprehension.

The fact that Katie Hobbs refuses to debate is costing her votes. Many Democrats question the strategy, as Bash pointed out. But based on this interview alone, it’s understandable that she’d rather keep Arizonans in the dark rather than confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt that she is incapable of winning such a debate regardless of the format. If she can’t even answer direct questions by Dana Bash, how could she hold her own on a stage opposite Lake? The answer is obvious. She couldn’t.

Joe Biden hid in the basement through much of his 2020 campaign, but EVEN HE was able to manage a debate. Hobbs can’t even do that.

The Difference Between Kari Lake and Karrin Taylor Robson on Voter Fraud https://americanconservativemovement.com/the-difference-between-kari-lake-and-karrin-taylor-robson-on-voter-fraud/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/the-difference-between-kari-lake-and-karrin-taylor-robson-on-voter-fraud/#respond Wed, 15 Jun 2022 23:25:52 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=173356 One of biggest reasons I started liking Kari Lake for Governor of Arizona is because she unabashedly declares the 2020 presidential election was stolen. During a time when the Republican Establishment trades endorsements with candidates based almost solely on their willingness to deny what millions of Americans know to be true, it was refreshing to hear that Lake wasn’t bowing to The Swamp by echoing their narrative.

When I brought this up to a conservative friend in Arizona, he told me that the other major Republican candidate for governor, Karrin Taylor Robson, had also denounced the results of the 2020 election. This surprised me because Robson has always been a moderate at best, loved by the GOP Establishment and endorsed by fellow RINOs. So, I researched her newfound claims about voter fraud and quickly learned they didn’t really exist.

According to Robson’s campaign (though not directly from Robson herself):

“Joe Biden may be the president, but the election wasn’t fair. States across the country changed their voting rules in the weeks and months before the election; the mainstream media generally refused to cover stories harmful to Joe Biden; and Big Tech actively suppressed conservative voices. No wonder a sizable percentage of Arizona Republicans still feel the way they do about 2020.”

Noticeably missing from the statement is the word “fraud.” I’ll get back to that late.

Predictably, leftist corporate media has pounced and said she suddenly supports claims of a stolen election while right-leaning corporate media has said she’s coming out against voter fraud to match Kari Lake. Neither assessment is true, especially when we consider this is the ONLY statement on record we’ve been able to find that talks directly about the 2020 election. She supported the Maricopa County audit, as would any sensible GOP candidate when we consider three-fourths of Arizona Republicans believe the election was fraudulent. But otherwise, she hasn’t discussed the issue.

There’s a reason for this. It’s taboo for anyone who hopes to get GOP Establishment endorsements or PAC support. Those of us who believe the 2020 election was stolen may scratch our heads when we see Republican candidates go lukewarm at best on the topic, but the reason for it is the worst-kept secret in politics. Democrats don’t want further investigations into the election for obvious reasons, but the Republican Establishment is even more adamant about it. Why? Because they don’t like Donald Trump, they don’t believe in America First, and some of them were complicit in the theft.

This is why “conservative” corporate media outlets like Fox News won’t give any coverage to Dinesh D’Souza’s documentary, 2000 Mules. It’s why most Republicans on Capitol Hill change the subject when the 2020 election is brought up. And it’s why most Republican candidates across the country avoid the topic like the plague.

Kari Lake is different.

On the latest episode of The JD Rucker Show, I covered this and many other issues with Lake. She boldly declared what many of us know to be true. She went so far as to promise to work to expose what really took place in Arizona in November 2020 and beyond. Lastly, she offered real solutions to prevent it from happening again.

Robson’s take is not the same even though her supporters want Arizonans to believe they are. Her campaign’s claim of an election that was “not fair” to Donald Trump is based solely on Republican Establishment-approved facts. She says laws were changed for the sake of Covid-19 and corporate media hid stories that would have been detrimental to Joe Biden. Both facts are acknowledged even by corporate media today. She’s not going out on a limb or declaring what Republicans in Arizona really feel. She’s sitting on the fence and pretending to be a champion of free and fair elections by dropping ambiguous statements and saying nothing more on the subject.

I’d love for her to come on my show and answer the very simple question, “Was the 2020 election stolen through massive, widespread voter fraud?” I don’t want to hear what I could read about in the NY Times. I want to hear what outlets like the NY Times and Fox News refuse to cover, including what was detailed in 2000 Mules or the mountains of affidavits swearing that voter fraud on a wide scale took place.

Here’s today’s interview with Kari Lake:

There are many reasons I have chosen to endorse Kari Lake for Governor of Arizona, but her willingness to speak the truth when The Swamp wants her silenced is near the top of the list.
