Teens Appear in Court Following Heinous Viral Video Leading to Arrests

According to sources, two teenagers from Las Vegas have been accused of intentionally hitting and killing a cyclist. Allegedly, within a two-hour span, they also attempted to kill another biker, stole three cars, and committed a burglary, as revealed to the 8 News Now Investigators.

Records show that Jesus Ayala, who is now 18 but was 17 at the time of the alleged crime spree, is facing 18 charges, including murder, attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon, leaving the scene of an accident, and various larceny and burglary charges. The second suspect, Jzamir Keys, 16, is also facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and battery, identified by police as the passenger in the vehicle.

The charges against Ayala and Keys are related to the death of Andreas “Andy” Probst, a retired California police chief. Probst was riding his bicycle in a marked lane on August 14 near Tenaya Way and Centennial Parkway in the northwest Las Vegas valley when Ayala allegedly intentionally crashed into him.

Initially, Probst’s death was classified as a hit-and-run. However, at the end of August, a student brought a video of the alleged murder to a school resource officer who then alerted the police about it.

Before Probst’s murder, the teenagers reportedly attempted to hit another cyclist in the area of Fort Apache and Washburn Roads, about half an hour earlier, according to the police. After Probst’s death, they allegedly stole two more cars in the area of Lake Mead Boulevard and Torrey Pines Drive. Approximately an hour later, the teenagers crashed the two stolen cars into each other near a shopping plaza at Lake Mead and Rainbow Boulevards, as per sources.

Allegedly, the teenagers then broke into a garage, taking several items, before returning to the area where Probst was hit and killed in one of the crashed stolen cars.

While Ayala was apprehended by the officers, Keys managed to flee the scene.

Back in August, the police did not have sufficient evidence to charge Ayala with murder, as the video did not surface until two weeks later.

Both teenagers made their initial appearances in adult court on Thursday.

Commentary: Growing Teen Nihilism

“They don’t care,” my adult son told me. “They just don’t have any regard for life, property, or consequences of desecrating either.”

He was referring to what seems to be an exponentially growing threat from nihilistic teens and young adults in America. I often lean on my son for understanding of youth since he is a millennial. And as he sees it, Gen Z is better than his generation in some ways but far worse in others.

Anecdotally, he is absolutely correct. We’re seeing statistics claiming more Gen Zers are leaning conservative than their millennial predecessors, but we’re also watching teen and young adult crime rising dramatically in nearly every major city in America. And contrary to popular belief from the right, it’s not just blue cities that are getting hit. While Democrat policies have exacerbated the trend, even cities that lean red are seeing crime rates rise.

As far as I’m concerned, the only thing that can reverse the course of this nation is massive revival. I know that’s arguably the answer to all of our major problems to the point that it’s almost cliche, but it’s undeniable to those of us who are emersed in the news throughout the day. Kids like the ones who casually murdered Andy Probst are not going away through counseling, more money funneled into education, or political solutions.

Only God can change hearts and minds on the massive scale that we need right now.

Two teens stole a car in August. They livestreamed their crimes, which included hitting random cars and running over a cyclist for fun.

According to National Conservative:

A car rammed into him, and he died shortly after. Police arrested the seventeen-year-old driver a short distance away but classified his identity. Probst’s death was only treated as a traffic-related homicide.

However, a passenger in the car had videotaped the killing. The attack was apparently live-streamed on an unspecified social media platform. The video shows two Black males in a Hyundai Elantra engaged in a criminal rampage. They intentionally hit another car. Then, they intentionally hit and fatally injured Probst.

The video was brought to the attention of police on Aug. 29. The charges were upgraded to open murder. However, his identity is still classified. There are no reports that the accomplice, who videotaped the murder, has been arrested.

The story has been quarantined to local media coverage only. After the charges were upgraded to murder, most local Las Vegas media outlets only referred to the victim as “a 64-year-old man.”

The video is very disturbing, not just because of 64-year-old retired police chief Andreas Probst being murdered for fun, but because of the demonic nihilism on display in these unrepentant criminals.

The US power grid is under attack as extremists shoot, sabotage, and vandalize electrical equipment at power stations. One of the highest-profile attacks was when two men used guns to paralyze a substation in Washington state on Christmas Day, leaving thousands without electricity. The incident made national news, but strangely enough, another attack last week on the Las Vegas power grid went unnoticed by the national press.

Mohammad Mesmarian, 34, rammed his car through the gate of a solar power generation plant outside Las Vegas on Wednesday and set his car on fire, intending to damage a massive transformer, 8 News Now reported.

“Employees at the plant said they found a car smoldering in a generator pit,” 8 News Now said, adding the Mega Solar Array facility provides power to 13 properties on the Las Vegas Strip, all belonging to MGM Resorts.

Investigators believe Mesmarian “siphoned gasoline from his car to put on wires at the transformer,” 8 News Now said, citing documents from investigators.

“Mesmarian clarified he burned the Toyota Camry,” police said. “Mesmarian said he burned the vehicle at a Tesla solar plant and did it ‘for the future.'”

8 News Now said Mesmarian caused “major damage,” estimating it could take two years to receive parts and fix the transformer. Luckily, the damaged unit wasn’t online at the time of the incident..

“Following an incident at the Mega Solar Array facility, on-site personnel immediately notified authorities and shut down the plant’s operations as a precaution in accordance with industry-standard safety protocols,” an Invenergy spokesperson said.

Mesmarian was arrested at a campground Thursday. He’s being charged with committing an act of terrorism, first-degree arson, third-degree arson, destroying or injuring real or personal property of another, and escape by a felony prisoner.

Why is the national press absent in reporting this terror incident on the power grid?

Perhaps the person involved doesn’t fit the extremist profile routinely touted by progressive and state media.

Longtime Las Vegas Review-Journal investigative reporter Jeff German was 69-years-old. He had made a name for himself over the decades for uncovering corruption in government and within the often-corrupt world of casino gambling in “Sin City.”

According to Fox News:

German, 69, was found dead Saturday morning, and police are still investigating his death. He had worked as a newsman in Las Vegas for more than 30 years, joining the Review-Journal in 2010 after two decades at the Las Vegas Sun.

“The Review-Journal family is devastated to lose Jeff,” Executive Editor Glenn Cook said in a statement. “He was the gold standard of the news business. It’s hard to imagine what Las Vegas would be like today without his many years of shining a bright light on dark places.”

Police say they believe German got into an altercation with another person outside his home on Friday night. Authorities say they have “some” leads.”

One of the stories that German covered was the infamous mass murder at Mandalay Bay Casino in 2017. There is still so little known about it despite the massive number of casualties that came from the attack.

Police are investigating. It’s unclear if the attack was personal, random, or based on something German was or is investigating. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
