  • DCNFA group of self-identified socialists called the Democratic Socialists of America have gained membership quickly over the past few years and established themselves in major American cities.
  • Democratic Socialists push far-left policies such as defunding the police, rent controls, defunding of fossil fuels and racial equity policies, according to their website. They’ve gained ground mostly in deep blue cities, pushing policies far to the left that even moderate Democrats oppose.
  • Democratic Socialists added tens of thousands of members to their group since the presidential campaign of Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders in 2016 and positions in local, state and federal governments.

    • The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is gaining steam in recent years and has been pushing the Democratic Party to the left, particularly in deep blue cities, advocating for policies that even moderate Democrats disagree with.

    Democratic Socialists make up the left flank of the Democratic Party, supporting abolishing prisons, aggressive climate policies, rent controls and radical racial equity policies, according to the Democratic Socialist website. They’ve been aggressively adding to their membership over the past few years, as well as gaining ground in key deep blue cities such as New York City, Los Angeles and Minneapolis, calling for radical policy changes and opposing mainstream Democrats.

    The meteoric rise of the DSA came after the first presidential campaign by Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders in 2016, according to New York Magazine. The DSA had 6,000 members in 2015 but now boasts over 80,000 members, according to DSA Communications Director Chris Kutalik Cauthern.

    Big cities in blue states are havens for Democratic Socialists, with a large number of them on city councils in deep blue cities. Recent gains in these cities for Democratic Socialists have pushed the politics of blue cities to the left.

    New York City is a hotbed for Democratic Socialists, with at least six of the 51 members on New York City’s city council being Democratic Socialists, according to public statements and records reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation. There, they’ve attacked more moderate Democrats, like Mayor Eric Adams, who has proposed budget cuts for the city and who has also criticized Democratic Socialists and been involved with Twitter feuds with Democratic Socialist New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

    New York City boasts Democratic Socialist and Democratic Councilman Chi Osse who has previously said, “A cis white man should not be the next speaker of the Council” and “Don’t trust white people with 0 friends of color in their circle.”

    Osse has gone after Adams’ support for the police, frequently chiding the mayor. “Mayor Adams is choosing to invest in a militarized police force rather than in evidence-based public safety strategies,” he wrote in one tweet. Osse said on the “Resistance” podcast that his motivations for becoming a city councilman were his experiences at a George Floyd protest and his desire to fight “white supremacy.”

    Democratic Socialist and Democratic New York City Councilwomen Tiffany Caban opposed Adams’ 2023 budget, calling the proposed cuts “dangerous and cruel,” in opposition to more moderate Democrats.

    Los Angeles has at least three Democratic Socialists of the 15 members of the Los Angeles city council, where Democratic Socialists regularly depart from the orthodoxy, many of whom vote against budget increases for police departments, such as Democratic Los Angeles Councilman Hugo Soto-Martinez and Democratic Los Angeles Councilwoman Eunisses Hernandez.

    Hernandez has called for abolishing the police, shutting down prisons and the decriminalization of hard drugs, accordingto the Los Angeles Times. Meanwhile, police data showed robberies, burglaries, and thefts increasing in Los Angeles.

    The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has lost nearly 1,000 officers since 2019, according to the Los Angeles Times.

    Soto-Martinez and Martinez stood by the co-founder of Black Lives Matter, Patrisse Cullors, in a press conference where she called on LAPD to stop responding to minor traffic violations, according to Los Angeles Daily News. Soto-Martinez also called it a “terrible mistake” when one of his staffers called the police, asking them to patrol the area more than usual to protect his broken down Lexus, according to the Fox News.

    “For all of the working class to achieve collective liberation, we must constrain, diminish, and abolish the carceral forces of the state — from prisons and police themselves,” the DSA’s website reads.

    Minnesota is also a hotbed for Democratic Socialists, with four group members holding local office there and three members on the Minneapolis city council, according to public statements and records reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation. Members of the Twin Cities DSA, which includes the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, have pushed hard for rent control despite Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey opposing the policy, saying, “I do not support a policy that has consistently proven to be counterproductive to housing supply and affordability,” according to ABC 75 News.

    The DSA also boasts five federally elected officials who identity as Democratic Socialists in the U.S. House of Representatives: Ocasio-Cortez, Minnesota Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Missouri Rep. Cori Bush, New York Rep. Jamaal Bowman and Texas Rep. Greg Casar.

    Positive views of socialism are down in the U.S. despite the DSA’s recent rise in membership, with 36% of Americans saying they view socialism somewhat or very positively, down from 42% in May 2019, according to Pew Research.

    Adams, Osse, Caban, Hernandez and Martinez did not immediately be reached for comment by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Or at least that is what we are being breathlessly told by the sages of leftist “Big Tech.” In a direct challenge to Twitter, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg is about to launch his own comparable social media platform “Threads.” And if you were unaware of this momentous news until now, do not feel bad. Outside of the “Big Tech” echo chamber, few others have heard about it either. Moreover, expect the world we live in to be little different on Friday, the day after the much ballyhooed Threads Thursday launch.

    It is altogether telling that Zuckerberg and his kind think they can somehow neutralize the reach of Twitter, for which they have total disdain ever since it was purchased by multi-billionaire Elon Musk. Upon taking the helm, Musk proceeded to clean house and rescue Twitter from the mire of leftie censors and manipulators who had thoroughly stifled and choked the voices of Conservatives and Patriots. Instead, Musk contends for free speech for all, not fearing an open exchange of ideas on the Twitter platform. Among “Big Tech” and its Fake News lackeys, the outrage against Musk has been venomous and incessant ever since.

    This pattern is actually a repeat of other events which transpired in recent decades. In the late 1980s, America was stunned to suddenly hear the frank and refreshing honesty of Rush Limbaugh over the AM radio airwaves. Prior to his daily three hour program, the only “news” of National issues that was available to the American people was filtered through the near monopoly of the “networks,” along with the New York Times and Washington Post. It was nearly impossible to gain access to the facts in any other manner.

    However, Limbaugh combined his inimitable sense of humor with a surgical precision in spotlighting the happenings of the day, seeing through the bias, “connecting the dots,” and explaining all of it in stark clarity for the Nation. Suddenly, leftists had lost their critically necessary media/information monopoly, by which they had been steadily encroaching on the morals and traditions of America’s history and founding. Finally, Americans were getting the truth. Something drastic had to be done! Amazingly, the leftist political apparatus presumed it could simply out muscle Limbaugh on the AM talk radio venue.

    Several nearly comical flailing attempts followed, all of which stumbled along for a few years before shutting down. In the mid 1990s former Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle was put in front of a microphone. Surely, being the consummate leftist Democrat D.C. insider, he could outwit Limbaugh, a mere commoner who had gained a voice. Eventually, the plug was pulled on the pathologically insipid Daschle debacle.

    A bigger, more coordinated, and more expensive effort was undertaken with “Air America.” Being well-funded by agenda-driven leftists, it was a guaranteed success, since big money, credentials, and “connections” are how the left promotes itself. But as was the case with Tom Daschle, Air America had everything it needed, except an interested audience. For starters, leftists on “Main Street” had no motivation to revert to talk radio when they had such ready availability of their narrative on virtually every other media outlet.

    Could leftists actually believe that Limbaugh’s loyal audience, which was so appreciative that someone was finally giving a voice to the viewpoint they instinctively knew to be correct, would easily abandon him simply because another AM radio outlet was regurgitating the lies of the nightly “News”? More appropriately phrased, the question is “Can leftists grasp that Real America has no interest in any more of their abhorrent and perverse propaganda, simply because it is being offered through another accommodating outlet?” In any case, they have no intention of allowing reality to interfere with their sole motivation, which is the advancement of their agenda.

    So, tying all of this back to Musk v. Zuckerberg, speculation abounds as to just how much competition Elon Musk can expect to face from the Zuckerberg cabal. And the answer is not hard to predict. Perhaps the “Threads” platform will have more bells and whistles than Twitter, and the promise that it can be integrated with other Zuckerberg/Meta platforms may be alluring, but only to those who are already enamored with the other, more insidious aspects of the Facebook labyrinth.

    For several years now, and particularly since the election of President Trump in 2016, Facebook has been malignant and shameless in its efforts to suppress truth, while promoting the leftist/Globalist narrative as uncontested “fact.” From the lies of the Russian “collusion” hoax, to the entire Covid/lockdown debacle, to the despotic vax nightmare, Facebook has disgraced itself and destroyed any shred of credibility with its flagrant censorship, abetted by a monotonously predictable leftist “Fact Checking” machine that would make Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s “Reich Minister of Propaganda,” green with envy.

    Those who have attempted to defy the leftist narrative on Facebook are regularly stunned to find out their accounts suspended, or even shut down entirely, for merely speaking truth. Others have their posts suppressed or shadowed by those smug leftie Facebook “Fact Checkers” who dutifully and consistently restate leftist ideology as the unassailable “truth.” Meanwhile, posts from lefties, containing the most profane lies and DNC talking points, go unchecked, and are allowed to proliferate with absolutely no efforts by Facebook to verify them.

    It was the same despicable actions by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and his vast band of leftie minions, which eventually inspired Musk to buy the company and undertake the difficult task of reopening it to the light of truth. And it is the same inevitability of the Zuckerberg minions to continue their detestable “business as usual” on the “Threads” platform, or any other platform Zuckerberg and his Meta corporation can envision, that will keep intellectually honest people from flocking to his site.

    Elon Musk clearly knows he has no reason to be worried. Bring it on!

In America today, there’s a different version of the story happening. The modern version might be called Sodom VERSUS Gomorrah.

    The “LGB” portion of LGBTQIA+, which stands for “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual,” represents those who engage in same-sex intercourse. The “T” portion of the acronym stands for “Transgender.” It seems that there has been a quiet battle going on between the two groups for a while and it’s ramping up.

    When “No LGB” started trending on Twitter, I checked it out. I then contacted a source who is active in the LGBTQIA+ community and was informed there has been a protracted series of attacks back and forth between the two groups, sparked by an oft-used phrase, “No LGB Without the T.” I was then informed that the current spat stems from a British home improvement company erecting a banner with the catchphrase on it.

    Upon reading the posts on Twitter, I realized just how ugly this really is. There is so much hatred being spewed by both sides that I can’t even post some of the Tweets. According to my source, this war is well-known within the community but aggressively policed and suppressed to keep it contained there.

    They do not want the rest of the world to know that there’s a massive level of strife dividing the “unified” LGBTQIA+ movement, including quiet efforts to bridge the divide in this “family feud,” as my source called it.
