I am a 30-year conservative Christian veteran of the scorched-earth global LGBT culture war against natural family values and the Bible. I’ve worn many hats in my career, including that of a constitutional law attorney. On Feb. 10, 2004, I happened to be in San Francisco to depose officials of the City of Oakland in my lawsuit against the town for discrimination against my clients: two African-American Christian women whose employment with the city had been threatened for trying to form a Good News Employee Association as a workplace alternative to the Gay and Lesbian Employee Association. I wrote about that case here.
By “chance” (i.e. divine providence) that was the day newly elected San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom held a press conference to stage the then-most audacious act of gay pandering in American history: He declared himself unilaterally authorized to legalize “gay marriage” in San Francisco by executive order.
Newsom became an instant political sensation on the hard left with that stunt, which everyone on both sides of the political aisle knew was a totally lawless act of grandstanding. My law partner and I filed a Writ of Mandamus to declare it invalid, which was denied, but only because the court had other means of invalidating Newsom’s order, which it did. Newsom didn’t care because it earned him the financial backing of the deep-pocketed LGBT political class – which later propelled him to the California governor’s office. He tried to recreate that event in June of 2024 to win the Democrat nomination for president, but got out-maneuvered by his partner in the 2004 event, Kamala Harris.
I scheduled my break in the depositions to be able to attend Newsom’s press conference. It was, of course, a media circus, but I managed to squirm my way into the venue just far enough to see Newsom at the podium flanked and backed by his various flunkies. I can’t say for certain, but I think that was my first glimpse of newly minted SF District Attorney Harris – elected just like Newsom two months prior. At some point over the next few days, perhaps even that day, Harris personally officiated one of the many illegal same-sex unions there at City Hall.
Here’s a little political background on the Newsom/Harris duo. Willie Brown was mayor of San Francisco from 1996-2004 and termed out.
Gavin Newsom inherited both the mayor’s office and Kamala Harris from Brown in the municipal elections of Nov. 4, 2003. Newsom was Brown’s “political protégé” while Harris was the septuagenarian’s 20-something former(?) arm-candy-with-benefits. Her gift from the Brown political patronage machine was the office of San Francisco district attorney.
What’s most important in this story, however, is the phenomenon of rank lawlessness in service to the normalization of LGBT behavioral disorders by highly compensated non-homosexual (or closeted) culture-war mercenaries. In my observation, this factor may be the most common denominator in all the stories of LGBT political conquest worldwide for the past half-century – including the massive trove of LGBT victories orchestrated by the Clintons and Barack Obama, who were funded to the hilt by “gay” money-bundlers like Terry Bean. Remember that Hillary gave her infamous MAGA “deplorables” speech at an LGBT Gala in NYC, the key takeaway being that the worst “deplorables” the left must destroy are opponents of the LGBT agenda.
Let’s segue now to the seemingly unrelated but ideologically connected breaking story of the new major leak scandal at the U.S. Supreme Court.
In summary, the Daily Caller article “‘Worse Than The Dobbs Leak’: Court Watchers Point To Supreme Court’s Liberal Wing As Likely Culprit Behind Latest Leak” suggests that Elana Kagan is the leaker, and I tend to agree. The leak pertains to internal communications about the Trump immunity cases, but the real story is abandonment of judicial ethics by court insiders to serve leftist politics.
Elena Kagan is no less a political opportunist and beneficiary of gender-class affirmative action than Kamala Harris. While Harris slept her way to power in San Francisco, Kagan leveraged her Manhattan family connections to rise through the Democrat ranks. She entered Obama’s orbit in 1991, helped Ruth Bader Ginsburg get confirmed to SCOTUS while a Senate aide, then, rising that same wave of female political empowerment, was appointed the first female dean of Harvard Law – where the LGBT agenda reigns supreme. (To that latter point, read about my experience debating criminal justice reform there as a gubernatorial candidate in 2014.)
Harris and Kagan are both just hard left political assets with a law degree and an unshakable commitment to the LGBT agenda. When Kagan (with no prior judicial experience) joined Ginsburg on the high court they tag-teamed as officiants in separate same-sex “marriages” during the pendency of the Obergefell v. Hodges case, the worst breach of judicial ethics in the history of the Supreme Court. This was far worse than anything the conservative justices have been accused of in recent months by the same partisans who applauded the Obergefell travesty. And no one but me (with a protest sign in front of the courthouse) publicly clamored for their recusal for that! (Of course, the “gay marriage” Kagan performed was for her own law clerk and his male partner.)
There is nothing more sacrosanct in our judiciary than the expectation of all parties to a presumption of impartiality by the justices deciding their case regardless of their personal views – but, once again, advancing LGBT normalization trumped every other consideration, even the integrity of the court. Compared to that, leaking internal confidences about the Trump cases to the New York Times is kid stuff.
The rule of law will not survive in America so long as we allow power-hungry people to get away with trading their ethics for a grab at the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. There must be accountability. For Harris that would mean a massive election defeat in November. For Kagan (if she truly is the leaker) that would mean impeachment during Trump’s next term.

Free speech has been an ongoing battle since before he bought the social media site while fighting the border crisis has been a more recent development. Right in between the two has been his opposition to wokeness, in particular the “Woke Mind Virus” that prompts people to either promote LGBTQIA+ supremacy or to accept it out of fear of getting canceled.
Musk has no such fears which is why in one short Tweet he really summed up the core problem with the “Woke Mind Virus.”

While I still remain in the camp that doesn’t trust a guy who wants to stick a chip in my brain, I wholeheartedly endorse his perspectives regarding the nonsensical use of the word “Cis.” It’s a pejorative that has somehow been embraced by many heterosexuals in the ultimate self-own.
Those who qualify for any of the 57 Heinz varieties of genders and sexual preferences who use the word are essentially invoking a slur. Those who are normal — birth gender, no false fluidity, and heterosexual in nature — who use the word are simply idiots.

The politicians, Rodrigo Iván Cortés and Gabriel Quadri, criticized Mexico’s ruling party, the Movement for Social Regeneration (or Morena), which runs a government with a totalitarian streak.
Salma Luévano, a Morena representative in Mexico’s Congress, identifies as a “trans woman.” Luévano has hurled charges of “gender-based political violence” against Quadri, one of the two visiting politicians who spoke during a private event in Washington held by the legal organization Alliance Defending Freedom International.
What “violence” had Quadri committed? He had tweeted about the unfairness of men who say they identify as women taking places from actual women in sports and politics.
Mexican law requires that women hold 50% of the seats in Congress; it counts Luévano and another “trans woman,” María Clemente García, as part of the female quota. Never mind that the two lawmakers are men—which is what Quadri objected to.
An election tribunal determined that Quadri had committed psychological, sexual, and digital violence against women. As punishment, he had to delete the offensive tweets, post court-drafted public apologies twice per day for 15 days, and complete courses on gender-based and transgender violence.
Quadri also had to register as a “gender-based political violator.” This last condition may prevent him from running again for office.
Another Critic Silenced
In charge since 2018, the Morena party demands that Mexican politicians and clergy alike support its socialist agenda. And it silences those who voice objections.
At the center of conflict again as a “trans woman,” Luévano has proposed legislation to amend Mexico’s Law on Religious Associations and Public Worship. The measure would punish churches whose traditional teachings on sexuality contradict the new gender ideology.
Luévano himself has no qualms about acting offensively. The transgender lawmaker appeared in Mexico’s Congress to present his proposal while costumed as a Catholic pope.
Cortés, then a member of Congress and last week a visitor to Washington, criticized the proposal as violating religious freedom. Worse, he referred to Luévano as “a man who self-ascribes as a woman.”
Like Quadri, his former colleague, Cortés also has been convicted of committing “political violence.” Cortés lost his final appeal Wednesday when the Superior Chamber upheld the lower court’s verdict and found him guilty of political, digital, symbolic, psychological, and sexual violence.
Politicians aren’t the only ones censored by the Mexican regime. The government also has muzzled Cardinal Archbishop Carlos Aguiar Retes of Mexico City and Cardinal Juan Sandoval Íñiguez of Guadalajara.
Both cardinals were convicted of violating the nation’s Constitution when they told their Catholic flocks that the Morena party’s values are contrary to their faith. Two other bishops and a prominent priest were convicted on similar charges.
Censorship Grows Elsewhere
Of course, Mexico isn’t the only country where the Left’s embrace of gender ideology has led to censorship.
Erika Nieto, a Colombian YouTube star, posted a video discussing her belief that marriage is a union of one man and one woman. A Colombian court forced Nieto to remove the video after an activist complained. The Constitutional Court of Colombia reversed the lower court’s ruling, but not without a fight.
In England, the Rev. Bernard Randall lost his post as a school chaplain after he questioned the tenets of gender ideology in a sermon. Someone reported Randall to British anti-terrorist authorities. He sued the Church of England school over his dismissal, but lost in court.
And then there’s the high-profile case of Päivi Räsänen. She is the Finnish politician who faced criminal charges for social media posts she made in support of Biblical teachings on marriage and sexuality.
Räsänen was acquitted of all charges against her in 2022, but the prosecution appealed. She will return to court to defend her rights again later this month.
Meanwhile, a bill in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, Canada, would empower the attorney general there to create “2SLGBTQI+ community safety zones.” There, “acts of intimidation” and distributing “hate propaganda” would be punishable by a fine of up to $25,000.
What qualifies? Is praying an act of intimidation in Canada? Is the Bible a kind of hate propaganda? Maybe so.
Our northern neighbor’s Supreme Court just handed down a decision in a case, Hansman v. Neufeld, which involved a defamation lawsuit and accusations of hate speech. A school board trustee, Barry Neufeld, objected to the sexual orientation and gender identity curriculum in use in British Columbia schools.
Neufeld was accused of having “bigoted” and “transphobic” views. In its ruling against Neufeld, the court stated that “the transgender community is undeniably a marginalized group in Canadian society.”
UN’s Internal Struggles
These cases illustrate what critics of gender ideology have argued for years: It is, at bottom, totalitarian. The disciples of this ideology seek to silence critics through state censorship for some and self-censorship for most.
Under the banner of prohibiting “hate speech,” these legal and political tactics are the West’s new blasphemy laws. A century ago, Christian countries banned blasphemous speech against the church. Many Muslim countries still prohibit speech that disparages Muhammad.
Now, gender ideologues likewise seek to impose their orthodoxy through legal and political pressure. A ban on “hate speech” is a favorite weapon in their censorship arsenal.
Bodies within the United Nations system are wrestling with this conflict between gender ideology and freedom of speech. The U.N. Security Council and the U.N. Human Rights Council each passed resolutions this summer targeting “hate speech.”
The Human Rights Council adopted a resolution on “Countering religious hatred constituting incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence” in reaction to Quran burnings in Sweden and Denmark.
This resolution, promoted by Muslim countries, is intended to protect Islam from criticism or offense. Some Western countries opposed the measure in the name of free speech, but still support censorship when it offends the new orthodoxies of gender ideology. They failed to note the irony.
The Security Council resolution “urges” governments to “publicly condemn” speech that is “motivated by discrimination including on the grounds of race, ethnicity, gender, religion or language.” It gives a nod to freedom of expression with its admonition to do so “in a manner consistent with applicable international law.”
But the resolution also “urges” U.N. member states to “instill the principles of tolerance and respect” and “prevent the spread of intolerant ideology.”
Upholding Fundamental Rights
So, which intolerant ideologies will be on the receiving end of such measures? Gender ideology doesn’t peacefully coexist with other beliefs. And the U.N.’s track record on these conflicts is not good.
The United States is unique in its strong First Amendment protections for speech and religious belief. But these are fundamental rights that apply to everyone, no matter where they live.
The desire not to be offended, in contrast, doesn’t carry the same weight. The right way to combat hateful speech, or bad ideas, is with more speech and good ideas.
Laws against vaguely defined hate speech—whether employed to protect the feelings of Muslims or sexual minorities or anyone else—are a bad idea. That’s true both at home or abroad.

This reversal follows his statements during an interview in which he rightly proclaimed that men were men and women were women.
As transcribed by The Blaze [emphasis added]:
“I have no issue with the L-,B-,G-, I have no problem with none of y’all, with nobody. Love who you love. Do what you do. I just personally come from an era where a man was a man and a woman was a woman. And it wasn’t but two genders, and that’s just how I rocked it.
“Now, you could identify as goldfish if you feel like it, that ain’t my business. It becomes my business when you try to make me play the game with you. I’m not going to call you a goldfish, but you want to be a goldfish, you go be a goldfish. It’s just, we live in a weird time man.
“I feel like the parents have almost forgotten what the role of a parent is. If your little boy comes up to you and says, ‘Daddy I wanna be a girl,’ and you just let him rock with that? If you let this 5-year-old little boy eat candy all day, he’s gonna do that. Like, when did it become a good idea to let a 5-year-old, a 6-year-old, a 12-year-old make a life-changing decision for themselves? When did that happen? He can’t drive a car yet, but he can decide his sex?”
The cancel mob sprung up immediately and viciously. Apparently, the rest of his career and possibly other elements of his life were threatened so he reversed course immediately.
Two quick takeaways from this. First, if you’re not willing to stand by and handle the consequences of your actions or words, then don’t do or say them. Second, we need to be careful before jumping on someone’s bandwagon, especially if they’re taking on the woke mob. I tend to never jump on anyone’s bandwagon, but I’m also very cynical about celebrities in general.

The presence of an child indoctrination book at a bookstore is nothing new. Any major book retailer that has a children’s section will have these types of brainwashing books mixed in. But Barnes & Noble has made it a priority to not only display these books in their own section, but to make it prominent in just about every store in America.
We cannot stop the radicals who take their kids to drag shows or push them to switch genders before Kindergarten, but we can strive to classify both pervert freak shows and genital mutilation as activities or adults only. In the same vein, we cannot prevent retailers from carrying indoctrination materials, but we can punish them by withholding our money when they actively and aggressively promote the brainwashing.

Should anyone guess any one of these “identities” wrongly, they are automatically labeled a bigot full of hate speech that should be fired from any job and face jail time for being offensive and attacking the QUILTBAGS, according to the alphabet cult.

Martin-Edwards is also a member of SPI, the drag group that was controversially honored at the Los Angeles (LA) Dodgers’ Pride Night and describe themselves as a “leading-edge Order of queer and trans nuns,” according to Martin-Edwards’ TikTok account.
Martin-Edwards, who is also known under the drag queen name Sister Eva Lynn Goode, joined the drag group as an “initiate” on April 28, 2021, according to the organization’s website.

Martin-Edwards explained in one TikTok video that it can take members between “a year and a half and two years” to become a full SPI member, and that they must complete a “novice project.” Martin-Edwards’s project was called “Eva’s Shop Til You Death Drop,” the video caption reads.
“I brought a group of trans and non-binary and gender exploratory youth from the Bay Area on an all expenses paid shopping spree where they met with drag kings, drag queens and a few drag quings, and went on a shopping trip out of the closet to buy all their back to school clothes so they could have clothes that fit the gender that they wish to express,” Martin-Edwards said in the TikTok video. “And all of this was with parent consent.”
The LA Dodgers faced backlash when the team agreed to honor SPI during its Pride Night, which resulted in the baseball team rescinding the invitation. The team later offered a second invitation to the drag queen group after “thoughtful feedback from our diverse communities,” the LA Dodgers said in a statement.
Martin-Edwards said to have started the “first school-based gender affirming wardrobe in K-12,” which provides students with clothing aligned with their self-identified gender identity, according to one TikTok video. The closet was approvedby the Fremont High School principal in February 2022, Martin-Edwards said in another video.
“The goal of the transition closet is for our students to wear the clothes that their parents approve of, come to school and then swap out into the clothes that fit who they truly are,” said Martin-Edwards, according to The Post Millennial. Martin-Edwards compared the clothes changing tactic to Clark Kent changing into Superman in a phone booth, the outlet reported.
Martin-Edwards has also expanded transitioning projects at other schools, including “outfitt[ing] three other high schools with gender affirming care,” and has offered to work for free with summer camps and schools to “get gender support plans through,” according to the teacher’s TikTok videos. Martin-Edwards also said to visit other schools to make sure they are using “gender support plans effectively,” including schools as young as middle school, according to the video.
“During my downtime I go to other schools and support them on how they support their trans and non-binary kids,” Martin-Edwards said in one TikTok video. “So today, it’s a middle school to make sure they’re using gender support plans effectively.”
Fremont High School, Martin-Edwards and SPI did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

The group demanded that Pride disclose its funding information and host a public meeting for Pride volunteers about climate change and impending “social collapse,” including information about anti-oil activism.
“We will wait 24 hours, as of 4pm today (28/06), for Pride to respond to our demands and the actions Pride will take,” the letter read. “Beyond this time or not meeting these demands will mean we may or may not take action at this weekend’s events.”
Pride is an important day for LGBTQ liberation – but it can be used by corporations destroying the planet to pinkwash their reputations.

Pride in London is a massive parade that anticipates more than 35,000 marchers, according to the event’s website. The event drew about 1.5 million attendees in 2022.
Just Stop Oil told Pride in London to explain “ethical considerations” taken when accepting donor money and disclose what floats would be in the parade, according to the letter.
It also demanded that the event hold a meeting for its volunteers to teach them about “joining in civil resistance against new oil and gas, and why the climate crisis is the biggest threat to LGBT+ rights, due to social collapse.”
The deadline for Pride in London to respond has passed. Pride in London will take place Saturday.
“We call on all individuals, groups and organisations to give this space the respect and focus it deserves in an increasingly hostile and unsafe world,” an event spokesman told the Daily Caller News Foundation in a written statement. “Pride in London is tomorrow, celebrating and protesting for visibility, unity and equality for all LGBT+ people everywhere. All are welcome to attend and mark Pride with the other 1.5 million attendees. Our first priority is the safety of our diverse cohort of volunteers, participants including representatives from across the globe. We welcome dialogue with Just Stop Oil after the event and wish everyone a safe and happy Pride.”
Just Stop Oil did not respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.
