This initiative aims to redraw state boundaries, allowing conservative-leaning rural counties in Oregon to join the neighboring state of Idaho. Advocates argue this realignment would better reflect the political and cultural values of these communities, currently overshadowed by the liberal policies of Oregon’s urban centers.

The Greater Idaho movement isn’t just a reactionary push against liberal policies; it’s a well-thought-out proposal that seeks to realign political representation with the cultural and ideological values of rural communities. Mike McCarter, one of the leading voices behind the initiative, has emphasized that this is about more than just politics; it’s about preserving a way of life that many feel is under threat.

“The people in rural Oregon have felt ignored and marginalized for too long,” McCarter said. “By joining Idaho, we can ensure our values and needs are properly represented.”

The concept of Greater Idaho revolves around several key arguments:

  • Political Representation: Rural counties in Oregon often feel their voices are drowned out by the liberal policies of urban areas like Portland. By becoming part of Idaho, these counties would join a state that aligns more closely with their conservative values.
  • Economic Benefits: Advocates argue that Idaho’s lower taxes and fewer regulations would benefit the economies of these rural areas, encouraging business growth and economic development.
  • Cultural Alignment: The cultural divide between Oregon’s urban and rural areas is stark. Residents of rural counties often feel their way of life is threatened by policies that cater more to urban sensibilities. Joining Idaho would allow these communities to maintain their traditions and lifestyles without interference.
  • Education and Law Enforcement: Supporters believe that Idaho’s approach to education and law enforcement is more in line with their values. They argue that the current system in Oregon imposes policies that don’t reflect their priorities, such as gun control measures and progressive education reforms.

Challenges Ahead

While the push for Greater Idaho has garnered significant support, it faces numerous challenges. The process of redrawing state boundaries is complex and requires approval from both state legislatures and the U.S. Congress. Additionally, there is opposition from those who believe that splitting the state would lead to increased polarization and logistical complications.

Critics argue that such a move could set a precedent for other regions across the country to seek similar realignments, potentially leading to a fragmented nation. However, supporters of Greater Idaho remain undeterred, believing that the benefits far outweigh the challenges.

The Path Forward

The movement for Greater Idaho continues to gain momentum, with more counties considering joining the initiative. In recent elections, several counties voted in favor of exploring the possibility of joining Idaho, signaling a growing desire for change.

As this movement progresses, it will be crucial to watch how political leaders in both states respond. The push for Greater Idaho represents a significant shift in how rural communities are asserting their rights and demanding a political landscape that reflects their values.

This movement is a testament to the enduring spirit of self-determination and the belief in a government that truly represents its people. Whether or not Greater Idaho becomes a reality, it has already sparked an important conversation about representation, governance, and the future of rural America.

Oregon Is Waging a War Against Small Farmers https://americanconservativemovement.com/oregon-is-waging-a-war-against-small-farmers/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/oregon-is-waging-a-war-against-small-farmers/#respond Thu, 28 Mar 2024 12:13:43 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=202252 (Natural News)—A war against farmers is happening in Europe and it is now starting to happen in America.

Small farmers are under attack in the state of Oregon, which has started shutting down family farms throughout the Beaver State under the pretense of water conservation and groundwater protection. (Related: ENGINEERED FAMINE: Oregon starts SHUTTING DOWN small farms “to protect the people.”)

The owner of Yanasa Ama Ranch shared a 20-minute video from Yanasa TV explaining what is happening in Oregon as bureaucrats mistakenly classify small family farms and homesteads as “concentrated animal feeding operations,” or CAFOs, to shut them down “for the environment.”

Any feeding area that has a concrete, rock or gravel floor falls into this classification, which could include small dairy or egg farms.

The rancher added that if a farmer has two or three milking cows, they are now targeted by the state for closure.

“The state of Oregon has effectively shut down small farms and market gardens on a large scale, and they’re actually sending out cease-and-desist letters to farms and they’re using satellite technology to find their victims and send them these letters that say you can’t operate,” the rancher explained in the video.

The rancher stated that there are two different laws that Oregon officials are using to carry out these shutdowns. And one of the laws includes Oregon’s widely unclear definition of a CAFO, which reads, in part, as follows:

“The State of Oregon defines CAFOs as the concentrated feeding or holding of animals or poultry, including but not limited to horse, cattle, sheep, or swine feeding areas, dairy confinement areas, and poultry and egg production facilities where the surface has been prepared with concrete, rock or fibrous material to support animals in wet weather.”

According to this definition, a few-acre homestead with pasture and let’s say two milking cows and some chickens qualifies as a CAFO if it has any area on the property where rock or gravel is used as a route to get to a small barn or coop.

“The way that they have redefined CAFOs is going to impact nearly everybody. Even on our property, we don’t have animals that are necessarily contained in one area (they’re roaming on pastures),” the rancher warned about Oregon’s “updated” CAFO definition.

Small family farms throughout Oregon have filed a lawsuit against the state’s updated CAFO law

A lawsuit was filed in January this year on behalf of small family farms throughout Oregon, claiming that the definition of a CAFO is too wide and negatively affects almost anybody who produces eggs from backyard chickens, no matter the size of their property.

According to the National Review, Oregon’s government “joined forces” with the massive dairy industry to crush and suppress Oregon’s small farmers.

“This law is being enforced in the state of Oregon,” the rancher said, sharing the same story as National Review about Godspeed Hollow Farm in Newburg, Oregon, which has been recategorized as a CAFO for the simple reason that it has a gravel pathway from the milking machine to the pickup station just 100 feet in distance.

“[Oregon] has already shut down some farms. There is an injunction on some of the definitions of the law until it can be heard in court. Currently, small dairy farmers … a lot of what they’re requiring is simply too much for the small farmer.”

Another issue that Oregon farmers have to contend with is the state’s rules on water.

The only water that farmers are legally permitted to collect in Oregon is rainwater while all other things, including water from rivers and streams, in addition to groundwater on private property, are deemed a public resource.

Due to this rule, Oregon farmers are not even permitted to utilize water from their private wells to water their crops and hydrate their animals without a permit.

Together with the CAFO rule, this one concerning water use is being abused in this manner as to make it restrictive, if not impossible, for farmers to manage their farms.

“This rule went into place back in 2021,” the rancher stated about how Oregon officials passed the water rule, which just so happens to have occurred at a period when everybody was being troubled and shocked by Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) “pandemic” tyranny.

“It has slowly rolled out to the point where market gardeners on a half-acre of land are now receiving cease-and-desist orders saying, ‘you can’t water your gardens; figure out another way,'” the rancher added.

The apparent goal of this is to centralize power and control over the food market into the hands of a moneyed elite while denying small farmers their livelihoods and incomes in addition to their God-given right to grow, produce, consume and sell the fruit of their work.

If this sort of thing can occur in Oregon, it can happen everywhere in America.

A “Great Swarm” of Earthquakes Off the Washington Coast Is Raising Concerns That the Cascadia Subduction Zone Could Blow https://americanconservativemovement.com/a-great-swarm-of-earthquakes-off-the-washington-coast-is-raising-concerns-that-the-cascadia-subduction-zone-could-blow/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/a-great-swarm-of-earthquakes-off-the-washington-coast-is-raising-concerns-that-the-cascadia-subduction-zone-could-blow/#respond Fri, 15 Mar 2024 06:17:39 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=201922 (End of the American Dream)—An area off the coast of Washington state is being shaken by hundreds and hundreds of earthquakes.  So is this an indication of potential trouble for the Cascadia Subduction Zone?  At this point, there is so much that we don’t know.  Scientists are telling us that the quakes are centered around a large underwater volcano.  The underwater volcano does not pose a threat at all, but if an enormous earthquake along the Cascadia Subduction Zone were to trigger a giant tsunami that slams into the west coast, that would be a historic disaster of epic proportions.

The frequency of the earthquakes that we are witnessing off the coast of Washington is extremely alarming.

It is being reported that earlier this month there were “as many as 200 in a single hour”

Scientists have detected a ‘great swarm’ of earthquakes off the coast of Washington clocking as many as 200 in a single hour during one day.

That is a lot of quakes!

According to one of the experts that has been monitoring this area, there were over 2,000 earthquakes in a single day…

“It’s about 10 times as active as it normally is,” said Jesse Hutchinson, a junior staff scientist with ONC, an ocean observation facility based at the University of Victoria.

He said more than 2,000 earthquakes had been detected in one day.

Why haven’t we heard more about this?

If I was living on the west coast, I would definitely want this to be in the news.

We are being told that this “great swarm” of earthquakes potentially means that a “magmatic rupture” is imminent…

The ‘great swarm’ of earthquakes followed multiple days of increasingly frequent quakes, according to Ocean Networks Canada (ONC), which is collecting the data for researchers to study.

The spike indicated a possible ‘impending magmatic rupture,’ the research group reported.

A magmatic rupture, which occurs when the Earth’s crust splits open for some reason and spills molten rock out, is a natural phenomena that can form new ocean floor, according to Zoe Krauss, a marine seismology PhD candidate at the University of Washington.

A “magmatic rupture” would not be a problem.

But what happens if this area continues to shake violently and eventually an extremely large earthquake is triggered along the Cascadia Subduction Zone?

As Popular Mechanics has accurately observed, that would create the sort of disaster that very few people would want to see…

In this case, there are two opposing forces: the North American Plate, an enormous tectonic plate that carries the entire continental United States on its back, versus the 90,000-square-mile Juan de Fuca Plate, located in the ocean off Washington, Oregon, and Northern California. For the past 200 million years, these two have been squaring off in an epic wrestling match in an area known as the Cascadia Subduction Zone, or CSZ. Trust us, nobody wants to see the end of this round. Yet only a few people seem truly bothered: seismologists, emergency management professionals, and those who have experienced earthquakes before.

It’s certain that the Northwest will experience a devastating earthquake again, says Chris Goldfinger, an oceanographer at Oregon State University and one of the world’s leading experts on subduction zone earthquakes. “We have no idea of the timing and how urgent it is,” Goldfinger tells Pop Mech. “People tend to ignore it in that case.” The majority of the public, as well as most governments in the Northwest, aren’t yet pushing to implement the extensive infrastructure changes and early-warning communications systems needed to save tens of thousands of lives.

Such an earthquake could potentially create a colossal tsunami that is hundreds of feet high.

A tsunami of that magnitude would cause destruction on a scale that most of us cannot even imagine right now.

In 2015, the former head of FEMA’s Region X was quoted by the New Yorker as saying that “everything west of Interstate 5 will be toast”

If the entire zone gives way at once, an event that seismologists call a full-margin rupture, the magnitude will be somewhere between 8.7 and 9.2. That’s the very big one.

…By the time the shaking has ceased and the tsunami has receded, the region will be unrecognizable. Kenneth Murphy, who directs FEMA’s Region X, the division responsible for Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska, says, “Our operating assumption is that everything west of Interstate 5 will be toast.”

In the Pacific Northwest, everything west of Interstate 5 covers some hundred and forty thousand square miles, including Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, Eugene, Salem (the capital city of Oregon), Olympia (the capital of Washington), and some seven million people.

It would be the greatest natural disaster in the entire recorded history of our nation up to that point.

Sadly, it is inevitable that great natural disasters will come.  Our planet is becoming so unstable, and we are seeing very strange things happen all over the globe.

For example, very long and very deep cracks in the ground have started to appear in Libya

Unusually large and deep earth cracks have suddenly appeared in an agricultural region south of Tripoli, causing alarm among the local population. In response, the Libyan government has initiated an investigation and dispatched a specialized geological team from the Ministry of Local Governance to conduct thorough surveys of the affected areas, particularly focusing on agricultural lands.

Parallelly, the Libyan Ministry of Environment and their Environmental Affairs Monitoring Department in “Al-Sbeea” are taking the lead in overseeing and documenting the ground cracks. This concerted effort aims to compile a detailed report, which will serve as a critical tool in understanding the origins, implications, and potential risks posed by the fissures.

And we have reached a stage where we are constantly witnessing unusual shaking all over the globe.

Just yesterday, a magnitude 3.8 earthquake rattled a very large area in northern Israel

Residents of northern and central Israel reported feeling an earthquake on Wednesday, Israeli media reported.

The Geological Institute reported that the earthquake felt by northern residents had a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale, and occurred at a depth of approximately 17 km.

There were reports that the earthquake was felt in Tiberias, the Jordan Valley, Karmiel, Haifa, and the Hadera area. Some felt the earthquake even further south in areas such as Rehovot and Modi’in.

Today, a magnitude 5.8 earthquake that shook the Fukushima prefecture in Japan made lots of headlines

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.8 hit eastern Japan early on Friday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.

The epicentre of the earthquake was off the coast of Fukushima prefecture, where strong tremors were recorded, the agency said, adding that a tsunami warning had not been issued.

As I discuss in my latest book entitled “Chaos”, I believe that we are entering the most tumultuous period in all of human history.

And natural disasters will be a big part of that.

If I was living on the west coast, I would be watching what is happening very closely.

Because one of these days disaster will finally strike, and large numbers of people living along the coast will needlessly die.

Oregon Lawmakers Set to Recriminalizing Hard Drugs After the Most Predictable Result Possible Came True https://americanconservativemovement.com/oregon-lawmakers-set-to-recriminalizing-hard-drugs-after-the-most-predictable-result-possible-came-true/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/oregon-lawmakers-set-to-recriminalizing-hard-drugs-after-the-most-predictable-result-possible-came-true/#comments Sat, 02 Mar 2024 14:33:46 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=201520 Editor’s Commentary: Oregon has allowed the use of hard drugs for the last few years, resulting in skyrocketing overdose deaths. Who could have predicted this? Well… anyone who isn’t suffering from advanced stage Woke Mind Virus.

But here’s the thing. As Democrats in Oregon scramble to champion the repealing of the policy they pushed hard until very recently, there will be no accountability. None of the lawmakers or activists who were either too stupid or too woke to realize that decriminalizing hard drugs would lead to more overdoses will be punished. Instead, they’ll probably fundraise off the notion that they are making the streets safer by reversing what they previously championed.

There are valid arguments for decriminalization that surround personal responsibility and not-your-concern libertarianism, but Ballot Measure 110 was never envisioned to do either. It’s just one of many asinine laws the UniParty Swamp has pushed under orders from the Globalist Elite Cabal to destabilize and eventually destroy America. That’s it. Here’s the news itself generated from corporate media reports…

(Discern Report)—Oregon lawmakers have recently voted to recriminalize certain drugs following a surge in overdose deaths and a state of emergency declaration for Portland’s fentanyl crisis. This move effectively ends a flagship liberal policy that was initially passed in 2020 under Ballot Measure 110, which aimed to decriminalize small amounts of all drugs and redirect marijuana tax revenue to fund addiction services.

Since the measure’s implementation, addiction and overdose rates have significantly increased in Oregon and across the country. In response, both Republicans and Democrats introduced legislation to roll back the controversial measure. The bill was passed by the state Senate 21-8 on Friday and by the House 51-7 on Thursday. It now awaits the signature of Gov. Tina Kotek, who has previously expressed openness to signing a bill that would reverse drug decriminalization.

The bill makes the possession of small amounts of drugs such as heroin or methamphetamine a misdemeanor, punishable by up to six months in jail. It also allows police to confiscate drugs and crack down on their use in public spaces like sidewalks and parks. Drug treatment is to be offered as an alternative to criminal penalties. Additionally, the bill aims to make it easier to prosecute drug dealers and increase access to medication for addiction.

However, some lawmakers, like Democratic Sen. Lew Frederick, have criticized the bill, arguing that it could move more people into the court system without actually improving their health. Concerns have also been raised about the cheap cost of fentanyl, which has caused a devastating impact on the community at just $0.25 per pill.

Despite these concerns, the bill has garnered support from many lawmakers who believe it will lead to “real and transformative change” for the justice system and help address the public health and safety crisis in downtown Portland.

Oregon Drug Treatment Hotline Cost $7,000 Per Call https://americanconservativemovement.com/oregon-drug-treatment-hotline-cost-7000-per-call/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/oregon-drug-treatment-hotline-cost-7000-per-call/#respond Thu, 31 Aug 2023 04:28:18 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=196146 In 2020, Oregon voted to decriminalize the possession and use of almost all drugs. Now, addicts do hard drugs in the open, and a treatment hotline has so far cost taxpayers $7,000 per call, according to The Economist, putting the spending at $1.4 million.

OpentheBooks.com

The Associated Press reported Oregon was “awash in treatment funds after decriminalizing drugs,” adding the state has allocated $265 million to recovery centers. The funding came from taxes levied on the sale of marijuana. Sadly, the rollout of these funds has been slow, with only $184 million distributed as of May 26.

Despite this massive funding, The Economist reported that “…help seems hard to come by.” The overdose death rate in Oregon almost doubled since 2019, twice the national average.

The New York Times has reported on the horrid conditions on the streets of Portland, including needles and humans feces littering the streets, drug addicts using drugs at all times of the day, and violent addicts in tents beating other homeless people with baseball bats.

One program that has been particularly costly and unsuccessful is the treatment hotline. Meant to be a resource for addicts to call for help after receiving a citation for using drugs, The Economist found that in its first two years of existence, fewer than 200 people called the hotline, and fewer than 40 callers were interested in treatment. That put its cost to taxpayers at $7,000 per call.

Farm Moratorium? Democrats Are Intentionally Destroying Our Food Supply Over “Climate Change” https://americanconservativemovement.com/farm-moratorium-democrats-are-intentionally-destroying-our-food-supply-over-climate-change/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/farm-moratorium-democrats-are-intentionally-destroying-our-food-supply-over-climate-change/#respond Sat, 18 Mar 2023 13:54:31 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=191075 Editor’s Commentary: A story from Oregon caught my attention because of its focus on diesel fuel and the energy crisis, but by the second paragraph I realized the bigger part of the story was the attack happening to our food supply. At a time when eggs, milk, butter, beef, and chicken products are becoming scarcer and more expensive, Democrats think it’s wise to place a moratorium on new and existing dairy and poultry farms.

Seriously.

For over a year we’ve been ringing the alarm bell about the inconceivable attacks on our food supply being done in the name of climate change. From the World Economic Forum’s goals of eliminating farms to Bill Gates’ intentions of forcing lab-grown meat on us, it’s clear American leftists and worldwide globalists are aligned against us to take complete control of the food supply.

This is the biggest reason we launched the only company in America that offers both frozen AND freeze-dried American beef in the same packages. The people want to eat steaks and other beef meals today, but it behooves us all to stock up on long-term storage beef as well. That’s why we launched Whole Cows (use promo code “nocrickets” for 15% off).

Here’s the article by Scottie Barnes from our premium news partners at The Epoch Times. The focus of the article is on the energy crisis which goes hand-in-hand with the food crisis. But pay special attention to what Democrats are trying to do to farmers and ranchers in our nation. This is The Great Reset unfolding before our eyes.

Critics Blast Oregon’s Efforts to Phase Out Petroleum Diesel and Restrict Farming

A series of climate bills now before the Oregon legislature could devastate rural communities and further fuel inflation, according to detractors.

The bills would phase out petroleum-based diesel fuel, levy sweeping new taxes on tires and off-road agriculture equipment, and place a moratorium on new and existing dairy and poultry farms, the majority of which are family owned and operated.

The farm moratorium “would magnify the strain on our food supply chain and further drive up costs for milk, chicken, eggs, beef, and pork,” wrote Republican state Rep. Cyrus Javadi, whose district on the northern Oregon coast has a timber, agriculture and dairy-based economy.

“Without diesel, we can’t provide the lumber and materials necessary to meet Governor Kotek’s homeless state of emergency declaration to build 30,000 new homes,” testified Angelita Sanchez before the Committee of Environment and Energy on March 9. Sanchez is co-director of Timber Unity, a natural resources PAC with 60,000 members.

If these policies are enacted, she fears they will create a break in the supply chain while raising the cost of goods and services to astronomical levels.

If It Moves, Tax It!

House Bill 3158, the “Clean Diesel Engine Tax” would levy a suite of new taxes on off-road machinery, such as that used in farming and logging.

Taxes would apply to sales and rentals of off-road machinery, tires, and the dyed diesel fuel used to power farm and other heavy equipment.

The bill also includes a “privilege tax” for engaging in the business of providing off-road diesel equipment and heavy duty vehicles.

The Oregon Farm Bureau (OFB) opposes HB3158 because it taxes “virtually every piece of equipment” that’s used in agriculture, as well as the fuel and tires needed to run it, at a time of rising inflation and other financial stressors.

It also burdens rural businesses with the cost of retrofitting trucks in the state’s largest metropolitan area, according to OFB.

Revenues from the tax would transfer to the “Clean Diesel Engine Fund.”

That fund provides grants to retrofit trucks to run on the new “green diesel” or biodiesel, which is required as part of Portland’s plan to phase out the sale of petroleum-based diesel.

Starting in 2024, petroleum diesel available for sale in Portland will be blended with renewable fuels at increasingly higher increments, until 99 percent of the petroleum content is phased out by 2030. The new blend will be called R99. Keeping one percent maintains federal tax credits for blenders and wholesalers.

Light and medium-duty trucks around Portland must be retrofitted to run the new green blend for owners to be able to renew their title and registration.

Until now, retrofit grants have been covered by $73 million from Volkswagen, which agreed to pay state governments $2.9 billion to resolve litigation over the auto company’s emissions violations.

However, the amount requested for upgrades now surpasses the money Oregon has remaining from that deal. That has lawmakers considering new sources of funding.

“Rural communities are not responsible for Portland’s air quality, but HB 3158 puts that responsibility squarely, and inappropriately, on the backs of our members,” the Farm Bureau said in submitted testimony.

Out With Petroleum-Based Diesel

Oregon’s SB 803 would essentially expand Portland’s petroleum-based diesel phase-out to the rest of the state.

Portland announced in December 2022 that it would become the first city in the nation to phase out the sale of petroleum-based diesel, calling it the first major step to reduce carbon emissions by 50 percent under the city’s “climate emergency plan.”

Opponents do not want to emulate Portland.

They claim the transition would raise the cost of fuel to the point it would be financially unsustainable for many farm and ranch families, hitting rural and low-income Oregonians the hardest.

“Petroleum-based Diesel runs 90 percent of commercial activity, including electric charging stations, lithium mining equipment, and the generators that provide emergency power backup to our hospitals,” testified Sanchez.

“Renewable diesel is not ready to replace that source.”

“To make the bio-diesel that Oregon needs each year would take nearly 13.8 million acres of farmland, but the state only has about 16 million acres of tillable soil,” testified Cody White, owner of White’s Hauling and Farm, which operates 40 semi-trucks.

Growing crops such as soybeans for biofuel could also displace food production acreage at a time when food security is a great concern, he explained.

Because Oregon does not produce soybeans, the state would be dependent on bio-diesel from other states.

With other states enacting similar restrictions on petroleum-based diesel, Oregon would be competing with California, New York, Washington, and Canada to purchase a limited supply of biofuels, Sanchez told The Epoch Times.

It would also be competing with China, which is the world’s largest soybean importer, accounting for nearly 60 percent of global trade and half of U.S. soybean export value.

“Meanwhile, 30 percent of all diesel rigs already meet emission standards and that number will grow as the market expands,” Sanchez said.

The Future of Farming

Meanwhile Senate Bill 85, the “Relating to Confined Animal Feeding Operations” bill would place a moratorium on new permits for farm operations” with more than 2,500 dairy cows and more than 125,000 chickens

The bill comes in response to a growing number of large operations proposed in the Willamette Valley near the Santiam River and concerns about pollutants and water use. It calls for an eight-year moratorium until the state studies the environmental, social, and public health impacts of such operations.

Nearly 700 environmental advocates, farmers and representatives from industry testified in person or in writing at a March 6 Senate Committee on Natural Resources hearing to express their opposition or support for the bill.

“This legislation would only accelerate the loss of family farms and local food production, killing jobs and businesses. As a result, Oregon would have to rely more on out-of-state livestock products,” Javadi wrote in his testimony.

Farmers with dozens to hundreds of animals shared their concerns about the future of livestock production in the state and its effect on the economy.

Nearly all raise chickens or cows for meat or milk products.

Large operators said they were forced to acquire more animals and land to pay for ever more taxes and fees and abide by regulations to compete in an industry controlled by multinational corporations.

Smaller operators talked about the impact to rural communities when a handful of large operators take over, driving up land prices and consuming limited water resources.

“We have slowly forced agricultural operations to get larger to survive. Yet now we’re here talking about limiting how big a farm can get or how many animals we think are appropriate,” testified Greg Addington, director of the OFB.

Eight lawmakers, including two Democrats in support of the bill and six Republicans opposed, spoke at the hearing.

State Sen. Suzanne Weber, a Republican, said halting new large operations and expansions for eight years would close many businesses in her district.

With at least 20 percent of the state’s industrial animal operations in his district, Republican State Sen. Lynn Findley, said the bill would be an economic disaster for his constituents.

Meanwhile, these bills continue to wend their way through Oregon’s legislature.

Bringing Peters in allowed for a “considerable expansion of OHSU’s gender affirming services,” the hospital announced, adding that the “notable expansion” will allow for more “advances in the robotic vaginoplasty program” as well as the phalloplasty program.

Despite the fact that both surgeries have extraordinarily high complication rates, OHSU is proud to offer them to children – and not just proud but “incredibly proud,” to quote the facility, which wrote in a tweet just after Christmas:

“Wishing each of you a safe and happy New Year. We have every reason to be incredibly proud of the work we’ve accomplished in 2022! Our most recent On The Cutting Edge highlights some of the accomplishments of our team.”

OHSU added that “[m]ultiple divisions continue to grow with new recruits and programs.” (Related: Vanderbilt launched a “Trans Buddies” program to bully more doctors into supporting the transgender mutilation of children.)

Peters called it “very affirming” to be asked to promote mutilation surgeries at a child and adolescent psychiatry event

Children as young as 10 years old can be admitted to OHSU for “gender-affirming” hormone therapy. Once they are a little older than that, they can then opt to remove and add body parts like Mr. Potato Head – but with actual permanent bodily damage.

Various experimental pharmaceuticals are given to children at OHSU to help them become their “true selves.” And the facility is proud to hand them out like candy as part of its LGBT agenda.

Almost every child that takes puberty blockers ends up also signing up for cross-sex hormones, which are then followed by body butchery and the rest of the horrors available in the normal-to-transgender pipeline of “therapies.”

The OHSU Doernbecher pediatric clinic offers a special marketing handout for children that teaches them how to pronounce the word “fertility.” Children who are not yet able to read, in other words, are the target demographic for OHSU’s body butchery scams.

“Many trans and gender diverse people are interested in keeping, or preserving, their fertility (fur-TILL-uh-tee),” the handout reads. “This is the ability to have biological children.”

For young girls, extracting and freezing their eggs is one option available at the clinic. For boys, they can either provide a sperm sample or have sperm extracted directly from their testicles.

“Should the child continue along the medical transition pathway, the next stage after cross-sex hormones is ‘gender-affirming’ surgery, which can mean a hysterectomy, the removal of healthy breasts and the creation of a non-functional appendage from the skin and flesh of the forearm for female patients, and breast implants, castration and penis amputation for the male patients,” reports The Post Millennial.

Peters made a name for he / they-self with an over-the-top social media presence called “QueerSurgeon” that makes light of the severity of these mutilative procedures, especially when performed on children.

“So many phalloplasty cases on the schedule this fall,” Peters bragged in a tweet back in September. “I hereby refer to this season on my calendar as ‘phall.’”

In another tweet from back on Dec. 2, 2021, Peters made a similar grotesque joke about the popularity of phalloplasty, calling a back-to-back surgery of such “A Double Header.”

After being asked to speak at a psychiatric event involving child and adolescent body butchering last June, Peters tweeted that it was “very affirming” for he / they to be involved in the mutilation of children.

“I love what I do in Plastic Surgery,” Peters wrote. “But this work transcends that.”

Devastating Fire at Historic Oregon Flour Mill Causes More Flour Supply Interruptions https://americanconservativemovement.com/devastating-fire-at-historic-oregon-flour-mill-causes-more-flour-supply-interruptions/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/devastating-fire-at-historic-oregon-flour-mill-causes-more-flour-supply-interruptions/#respond Sat, 13 Aug 2022 17:18:44 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=178360 A historic flour mill in Oregon owned by the nation’s biggest independent flour milling company has been completely destroyed by a fire.

Authorities are describing the Grain Craft mill in Pendleton as a total loss after a small fire that began on Tuesday afternoon reignited early Wednesday morning while the building was empty, fully engulfing the mill due to the significant amount of dry grain it was housing as well as its wood structure.

Pendleton Assistant Fire Chief Tony Pierotti told the media that the fuel load was “extreme” because the silos were filled with finished grain.

Authorities have been keeping the area clear in anticipation of the potential collapse of the building, which is more than 100 years old, as well as the amount of slow-burning grain. The mill is surrounded by the county courthouse as well as businesses and homes.

The fire was reportedly caused by mechanical failure that may be related to a sifter’s filter. Police Chief Charles Byram said: “It happened in the mill itself, with one of the pieces of equipment, with a rubber bushing or housing that obviously got too hot and started the fire.”

There were no injuries, but some buildings in the immediate area sustained smoke and water damage. The mill had been processing a significant amount of flour as the fire occurred right in the middle of harvest season.

Although an exact figure was not available, employees of the mill have estimated that there were “hundreds of thousands of pounds of processed flour in the bins.” An estimated cost of the damages is not yet available.

The company is now working with Pacific Northwest wheat farmers to handle the excess supply. Although they have never disclosed the building’s production capacity and it is difficult to determine the full extent of the damage, the president of the Oregon Wheat Growers League, Ben Maney, said that a substantial number of area farmers bring their grain to the facility, which he described as a staple in the Pendleton community.

Fire yet another hit for struggling wheat farmers

Maney said the fire is just the latest hit for growers who are still struggling after the severe drought of last year. Some crops rebounded thanks to the spring rains this year, but many farmers lack home storage for their grain and relied on the mill.

He noted: “A lot of farmers don’t have home storage, and they can’t store that grain on their farm. For this heartbreaking event to happen today, it puts the community and a lot of the farmers in a tough situation. It hits the community hard.”

The farmer-owned flour company Shepherd’s Grain emailed customers to inform them of an interruption in flour supply as they work on a contingency plan and get wheat staged to be moved to another mill.

Byram pointed out that the fire will have a big impact on Pendleton, stating: “They’re a major employer; we are obviously an agricultural community that does a lot of dryland wheat farming. Wheat farmers from the surrounding area bring their wheat in here to the Pendleton flour mill. It’s yet to be determined what the impact is, but I can gauge it’s going to be significant.”

The mill makes flour for several types of foods, including tortillas and pizza. Oregon is America’s 11th biggest producer of wheat, and the crop is the third biggest cash crop for the state. Up to 90 percent of the wheat that is produced in Oregon is shipped to markets overseas, especially in Asia.

Anti-Life Antifa Domestic Terrorists in Oregon Showed Immense Scope and Coordination on “Night of Rage” https://americanconservativemovement.com/anti-life-antifa-domestic-terrorists-in-oregon-showed-immense-scope-and-coordination-on-night-of-rage/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/anti-life-antifa-domestic-terrorists-in-oregon-showed-immense-scope-and-coordination-on-night-of-rage/#respond Sun, 26 Jun 2022 13:59:25 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=174209 Anyone who had an emergency that was not immediately life-threatening in or near Eugene, Oregon on Friday night were out of luck because law enforcement was forced to stop answering their calls. Around 75 Antifa Black Blok members were organized and ready to burn it all to the ground, so multiple agencies were forced to respond.

The level of coordination seemed similar to many of the riots and protests of 2020, but on a greater scope. The domestic terrorists were dressed as comrades ready for war, all clad in black, and with various types of weapons in what appeared to be a precursor to attacking a local pregnancy center.

As journalist Andy Ngo reported:

The details show extreme levels of organization. This was not a spontaneous response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade. It put lives in danger as law enforcement had to deal with these domestic terrorists instead of helping the rest of their city. According to Eugene Police:

On June 24, Eugene Police began receiving reports of a group publicizing on social media for people to come to a “Night of Rage” in the wake of an opinion by the Supreme Court of the United States, Dobbs v. Jackson (related to Roe v. Wade). The group’s stated meeting point was Dove Medical Center, 487 E. 11th Avenue, for around 10 p.m.. Due to the potential for property damage toward a business located in Eugene, as well as the general safety and security of the other businesses and residents downtown, Eugene Police monitored the situation.

Around 9:21 p.m. people began arrived to the area wearing all black clothing with masks and hoods. Many also had backpacks that appeared to contain unknown objects. The crowd started growing and moved toward the medical building. Eugene Police’s Mobile Response Team arrived in the area to block the building using its vehicles and officers to surround the building. The crowd continued to grow and began blocking E. 11th Avenue by standing in the roadway. Some people were observed picking up rocks and several began putting on gas masks. One female had a chemical pump sprayer and she was pumping it up. Additional EPD Patrol resources were called in.

An officer used a public address system to admonish the group of more than 75 people that they were committing disorderly conduct and were subject to arrest. This had no effect on the crowd and they advanced closer to officers. Unknown people in the crowd threw smoke bombs at officers along with several filled water bottles. EPD’s Crisis Negotiation Team eventually used their sound truck, which has an LRAD system on their truck, to provide louder volumes to the admonishments so those could be hear over the crowd noise.

Those who remained in the roadway were subject to arrest. The crowd did not comply. After the first arrest, the crowd became extremely loud and verbally hostile toward the officers and tried to get through the line. EPD called in additional resources including Springfield Police Department and Department of Homeland Security. The incident forced EPD’s operations to go into what is termed ‘priority calls,’ where much of the rest of the community’s individual calls for service, if they are not immediate life-safety emergencies, to be placed on hold or not responded to. Springfield Police provided mutual aid for priority one calls. At one point, the crowd moved to Ferry street right at E. 11th Avenue. Police provided more admonishments and arrests were made, with people fighting with officers and not complying with lawful orders, leading to inert pepperballs (pepper balls with no chemical munitions) being deployed in a few cases at people’s feet and legs. At that point the crowd size decreased.

Some officers suffered minor injuries during the event, which lasted about five hours.

Of course, all who were arrested were released a short time later. It’s Oregon.
