I know that much of it, at the moment, is being generated by some loud voices and shrill protesters in Chicago – and Gaza.

If you believe what you read in most news sources, Palestinians want a homeland and Muslims want control over sites they consider holy. Simple, right?

Well, as an Arab-American journalist who has spent some time in the Middle East dodging more than my share of rocks and mortar shells, I’ve got to tell you that these are just phony excuses for the rioting, trouble-making and land-grabbing – not to mention the horrors of Oct. 7.

Isn’t it interesting that prior to the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, there was no serious movement for a Palestinian homeland?

“Well, Farah,” you might say, “that was before the Israelis seized the West Bank and Old Jerusalem.”

That’s true. In the Six-Day War, Israel captured Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem. But they didn’t capture these territories from Yasser Arafat. They captured them from Jordan’s King Hussein. I can’t help but wonder why all these Palestinians suddenly discovered their national identity after Israel won the war.

The truth is that Palestine is no more real than Never-Never Land. The first time the name was used was in 70 A.D. when the Romans committed genocide against the Jews, smashed the Temple and declared the land of Israel would be no more. From then on, the Romans promised, it would be known as Palestine. The name was derived from the Philistines, a people conquered by the Jews centuries earlier. It was a way for the Romans to add insult to injury. They also tried to change the name of Jerusalem to Aelia Capitolina, but that had even less staying power.

Palestine has never existed – before or since – as an autonomous entity. It was ruled alternately by Rome, by Islamic and Christian crusaders, by the Ottoman Empire and, briefly, by the British after World War I. The British agreed to restore at least part of the land to the Jewish people as their homeland.

There is no language known as Palestinian. There is no distinct Palestinian culture. There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. Palestinians are Arabs, indistinguishable from Jordanians (another recent invention), Syrians, Lebanese, Iraqis, etc. Keep in mind that the Arabs control 99.9% of the Middle East lands. Israel represents one-tenth of 1% of the landmass.

But that’s too much for the Arabs. They want it all. And that is ultimately what the fighting in Israel is about today. Greed. Pride. Envy. Covetousness. No matter how many land concessions the Israelis make, it will never be enough.

What about historic and spiritually significant Islamic holy sites? There are none in Jerusalem.

Shocked? You should be. I don’t expect you will ever hear this brutal truth from anyone else in the international media. It’s just not politically correct.

I know what you’re going to say: “Farah, the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem represent Islam’s third-most holy site.”

Not true. In fact, the Quran says nothing about Jerusalem. It mentions Mecca hundreds of times. It mentions Medina countless times. It never mentions Jerusalem. With good reason. There is no historical evidence to suggest Muhammad ever visited Jerusalem.

So how did Jerusalem become the third holiest site of Islam? Muslims today cite a vague passage in the Quran, the 17th Sura, entitled “The Night Journey.” It relates that in a dream or a vision Muhammad was carried by night “from the sacred temple to the temple that is most remote, whose precinct we have blessed, that we might show him our signs. …” In the seventh century, some Muslims identified the two temples mentioned in this verse as being in Mecca and Jerusalem. And that’s as close as Islam’s connection with Jerusalem gets – myth, fantasy, wishful thinking. Meanwhile, Jews can trace their roots in Jerusalem back to the days of Abraham.

So what’s the solution to the Middle East mayhem? Well, frankly, I don’t think there is a man-made solution. But, if there is one, it needs to begin with truth. Pretending will only lead to more chaos. Treating a 3,500-year-old birthright backed by overwhelming historical and archaeological evidence equally with illegitimate claims, wishes and wants gives diplomacy and peacekeeping a bad name.

It’s Spreading: Anti-Zionist Protests Surge at Elite Universities https://americanconservativemovement.com/its-spreading-anti-zionist-protests-surge-at-elite-universities/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/its-spreading-anti-zionist-protests-surge-at-elite-universities/#comments Mon, 22 Apr 2024 21:48:17 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=202898 (Discern Media)—Anti-Israel and pro-terror demonstrations have intensified at Columbia University as the campus witnessed an alarming surge in antisemitic rhetoric and actions. The situation escalated during Passover, with a particularly disturbing incident involving a young woman holding a sign indicating Jewish students as “Al-Qasam’s Next Targets.” Additionally, anti-Israel agitators were heard shouting, “We are Hamas” and “We don’t want no Zionists here,” further exacerbating the hostile environment.

Despite the alarming situation, Columbia University leadership reportedly “does not want NYPD on campus.” However, a noticeable police presence was observed outside the university’s gates, with officers beginning to make arrests on Monday afternoon.

Columbia University had previously suspended its Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter for staging an unauthorized “die-in” event in November. However, similar demonstrations have now spread to other prestigious institutions, including New York University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Emerson College.

At NYU, protesters set up tents and displayed signs with phrases such as “Honor the Martyrs of Palestine” and “We are all SJP.” The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Emerson College also experienced the establishment of anti-Israel encampments, with signs promoting the eradication of the Jewish state and calling for an end to financial support for Israel.

Columbia’s president testified before a House Education and the Workforce Committee hearing, alongside the presidents of Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania. The MIT president was the only one to retain her position after the trio failed to explicitly condemn calls for genocide during their testimony.

Rabbi Elie Buechler of the Orthodox Union’s Jewish Learning Initiative at Columbia sent a message to nearly 300 Jewish students recommending they leave campus due to safety concerns. Yale University also experienced protests, with nearly 45 demonstrators arrested for trespassing and demanding Yale divest from companies doing business with Israel.

The protests have sparked a debate about the balance between free speech and the safety of Jewish students on campus. As tensions continue to rise, the situation at Columbia University and other elite institutions remains a matter of great concern.

The UN Security Council Is About to Vote for a Palestinian State and Only a U.S. Veto Can Stop It https://americanconservativemovement.com/the-un-security-council-is-about-to-vote-for-a-palestinian-state-and-only-a-u-s-veto-can-stop-it/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/the-un-security-council-is-about-to-vote-for-a-palestinian-state-and-only-a-u-s-veto-can-stop-it/#respond Thu, 18 Apr 2024 02:01:20 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=202785 Editor’s Note: We are at a very delicate point in history. It seems logical that the United States will stay true to its stated policies and prevent a United Nation’s mandate for a two-state solution in Israel, but I’m not so sure that’s going to happen. The Obama-Biden regime would love nothing more than to split Israel apart and the current conflict between Israel and both Hamas and Iran could be the cover the regime needs to allow the United Nations to do their worst.

At this point, I’d put the chances of a U.S. veto as high but I wouldn’t be shocked if they took the course the globalist elite cabal really wants. Stay frosty, folks. Here’s Michael Snyder from The Economic Collapse Blog

Why are they being so quiet about this?  On Friday, the UN Security Council will take a vote which will determine whether or not “the State of Palestine” will be granted full UN membership.  If this vote is successful, that will formally create a Palestinian state that will have full recognition by the international community.

So this is a really big deal.  Algeria is the nation that has put this draft resolution forward, and it is scheduled for a vote at 3 PM Eastern time on Friday afternoon

The United Nations Security Council is scheduled to vote Friday on a Palestinian request for full U.N. membership, said diplomats, a move that Israel ally the United States is expected to block because it would effectively recognize a Palestinian state.

The 15-member council is due to vote at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT) Friday on a draft resolution that recommends to the 193-member U.N. General Assembly that “the State of Palestine be admitted to membership of the United Nations,” diplomats said.

It is being projected that 13 of the 15 members of the Security Council could vote in favor of this resolution, and so Israel is counting on the Biden administration to veto it

A council resolution needs at least nine votes in favor and no vetoes by the U.S., Britain, France, Russia or China to pass. Diplomats say the measure could have the support of up to 13 council members, which would force the U.S. to use its veto.

Just think about this for a moment. The only thing standing in the way of a Palestinian state is Joe Biden.

Of course he actually wants a Palestinian state to be established, but he wants it to happen as a result of peace negotiations.

And after the current war in the Middle East is concluded, there will be an all-out push to achieve that goal. For now, the war in the Middle East is poised to go to a dangerous new level.

Israel is preparing to retaliate against Iran, and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is promising that even the “slightest action” by Israel will provoke a “painful response”

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has warned Israel it will face a “painful response” if it takes the “slightest action” in response to Iran’s unprecedented drone and missile barrage against the Jewish state over the weekend.

Iran’s first-ever direct attack on Israel on the night of Saturday-Sunday came in response to an April 1 air strike on Tehran’s embassy compound in Damascus that has been widely blamed on Israel.

So what would that “painful response” look like?

Well, Raisi has also said that “nothing would remain from the Zionist regime” after Iran was finished…

Raisi said Saturday’s attack was a limited one but that “nothing would remain from the Zionist regime,” should it escalate the current situation, the official IRNA news agency reported.

What he is describing is all-out war.

Right now, there are government billboards in Tehran which ominously declare that “Tel Aviv is our battleground”.

The Iranians are known for their bold talk, but in this case I don’t think they are bluffing.

I believe that they really will try to hammer Israel if there is any sort of an attack on Iranian soil, and one Iranian official is even warning that his nation is “prepared to use a weapon that we have never used”

But Iranian security chief Abolfazl Amouei last night warned that if Israel does respond then Tehran is “prepared to use a weapon that we have never used”.

It is unclear what weapon Amouei was referring to, but he warned Israel to “act wisely” as it considers its next steps.

There has been a lot of debate about how hard the Israelis should hit Iran. But the truth is that Iran is going to strike back really hard no matter what form the attack takes.

And it appears that a decision has already been made.  In fact, on Wednesday British Foreign Secretary David Cameron openly admitted that it is “clear the Israelis are making a decision to act”.

During a visit to Israel, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said Wednesday that while Israel has clearly decided to retaliate against Iran, he and other diplomatic leaders hope Israel shows restraint in its action. He added that, through sanctions, Iran “needs to be given an unequivocal message” by the G7, a forum of advanced economies that includes the U.S., Japan, Germany, Britain, France, Canada and Italy.

“It’s clear the Israelis are making a decision to act,” Cameron said in Jerusalem. “We hope they do so in a way that does as little to escalate this as possible.”

After meeting with Cameron and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he appreciates their support and advice, but said Israel alone will decide how to protect itself and how to respond to the Iranian attack.

I think that it is true. I think that the Israeli government has decided on a course of action. But at this point I have a hard time believing that something is imminent. Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread are coming up very quickly, and virtually the entire nation of Israel shuts down to celebrate.

The Israeli government knows that Iran will strike back really hard once an attack happens, and having Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread ruined by Iranian missiles would be very unpopular politically.

So my guess is that any Israeli retaliation against Iran will be delayed until May. Of course I could be wrong. We shall see.

Meanwhile, on the northern front Israel and Hezbollah continue to pummel one another. On Wednesday, mass casualties were caused when a Hezbollah drone hit a community center in northern Israel

Israeli emergency authorities are reporting that casualties from a suicide drone attack on a northern Israeli village have risen to at least 18 people wounded.

Hezbollah took responsibility for launching the suicide drone which ultimately scored a direct hit on a community center, with Israeli media noting that air warning sirens failed to sound during the attack. However, Hezbollah claimed it was targeting a building used by the Israeli military.

According to Times of Israel, “The victims were taken to Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. which said that one victim was listed in critical condition and two others were seriously wounded.”

In response, the IDF conducted an airstrike in northeastern Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday that it carried out an airstrike against a site belonging to Hezbollah’s air defense unit in northeastern Lebanon’s Baalbek, hours after the terror group carried out an explosive drone attack on northern Israel, wounding 14 soldiers and four civilians,

In a short statement, the IDF said fighter jets struck Hezbollah air defense infrastructure north of the city of Baalbek, almost 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the Israeli border.

It appears that it is just a matter of time before there is all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah.

And we are also on the verge of seeing all-out war between Israel and Iran.

The great Middle East conflict that I have been warning my readers about has arrived, and I believe that in the months ahead events will spiral completely out of control.

Once thousands of missiles are flying back and forth, the opportunity for restraint will be gone.

And at this absolutely critical moment in human history, Joe Biden and his minions are running things in the White House.

We are in so much trouble.

Gaza: Truths Behind All the Lies https://americanconservativemovement.com/gaza-truths-behind-all-the-lies/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/gaza-truths-behind-all-the-lies/#comments Tue, 02 Apr 2024 17:50:59 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=202398 ‘Occupied Gaza’

(Daily Signal)—Prior to Oct. 7, there were roughly 2 million Arab citizens of Israel but no Jewish citizens in the Gaza Strip. Gazans in 2006 voted in Hamas to rule them. It summarily executed its Palestinian Authority rivals.

Hamas canceled all future scheduled elections. It established a dictatorship and diverted hundreds of billions of dollars in international aid to build a vast underground labyrinth of military installations.

‘Collateral Damage’

Hamas began the Israel-Hamas war by deliberately targeting civilians. It massacred them on Oct. 7 when it invaded Israel during a time of peace and holidays. It sent more than 7,000 rockets into Israeli cities for the sole purpose of killing noncombatants.

Hamas has no vocabulary for the collateral damage of Israeli civilians, since it believes any Jewish death under any circumstances is cause for celebration.

Hamas places its terrorist centers beneath and inside hospitals, schools, and mosques. Why? Israel is assumed to have more reservations about collaterally hitting Gaza civilians than Hamas does about exposing them as human shields.

‘Disproportionate’

We are told that Israel wrongly uses disproportionate force to retaliate in Gaza. But it does so because no nation can win a war without disproportionate violence that hurts the enemy more than it is hurt by the enemy.

The U.S. incinerated German and Japanese cities with disproportionate force to end a war both Axis powers started. In Iraq, the American military nearly leveled Fallujah and Mosul by disproportional force to root out Islamic gunmen hiding among innocents.

Hamas has objections to disproportionate violence—but only when it is achieved by Israel and not Hamas.

‘Two-State Solution’

Prior to Oct. 7, there was a de facto three-state solution, given that Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza were all separate states ruled by their own governments, two of which were illegitimate without scheduled elections.

It was not Israel but the people of Gaza and the West Bank who institutionalized the “from river to the sea” agenda of destroying its neighbor.

Israel would have been content to live next to an autonomous Arab Gaza and West Bank that did not seek to destroy Israel in multigenerational efforts to form its own “one-state solution.”

‘Cease-Fire’

The so-called international community is demanding Israel agree to a “cease-fire.” But there was already a cease-fire prior to Oct. 7. Hamas broke it by massacring 1,200 Jews and taking over 250 hostages.

Hamas violated that peace because it thought it could gain leverage over Israel by murdering Jews.

Hamas now demands another cease-fire because it thinks it is no longer able to murder more unarmed Jews. Instead, it now fears that Israel will destroy Hamas in the way Hamas sought but failed to destroy Israel.

Did Hamas call for a cease-fire after the first 500 Jews it massacred on Oct. 7?

‘Ramadan’

President Joe Biden believes that the Muslim religious holiday of Ramadan requires Israel to agree to a cease-fire.

But did either Hamas or any other Arab military ever respect Jewish—or even its own—religious holidays?

The Oct. 7 massacre was timed to catch Israelis unaware while they celebrated the Jewish religious holidays of Simchat Torah, Shemini Torah, and Shemini Atzeret on Shabbat.

Moreover, Hamas’ surprise attack was deliberately timed to commemorate the earlier sneak Arab attack on Israel some 50 years earlier.

On Oct. 6, 1973, the Israelis were the target of a surprise attack when celebrating the religious holiday of Yom Kippur. Arab armies also assumed they would achieve greater surprise when attacking during their own religious holiday of Ramadan.

So, Arab militaries fight opportunistically during Jewish holidays and their own Islamic holidays. Egyptians and Syrians still boast of their 1973 surprise attack on Israel as the Ramadan War.

Only Westerners, not Arabs, believe there should be no war during Ramadan.

‘Civilian Casualties’

Israel risks the lives of its soldiers to prevent civilian deaths. Hamas risks the lives of its civilians to prevent terrorists’ deaths.

Israel considers it a failure, but Hamas considers it globally advantageous, when more civilians die than its soldiers.

‘Foreign Aid’

The Biden administration threatens to cut off or slow-walk aid to Israel if it continues to retaliate against Hamas, even though Hamas started the war.

So the administration promises to give more aid to Gaza after the Oct. 7 Hamas massacres than it gave to Gaza before Hamas’ attack.

‘Prisoners’

The international community that favors Hamas nevertheless knows it would be safer to be a prisoner of Israel than of Hamas.

It knows women are not going to be raped in custody by Israelis, but are by Hamas. And the unarmed are more likely to be mutilated and decapitated by Hamas than Israelis.

Is the international community more likely to charge Israel than Hamas for war crimes because the Jewish state seeks to avoid civilian deaths that Hamas finds useful?

Anti-Zionist Mob Threatens to “Flood” JFK Airport on New Year’s Day https://americanconservativemovement.com/anti-zionist-mob-threatens-to-flood-jfk-airport-on-new-years-day/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/anti-zionist-mob-threatens-to-flood-jfk-airport-on-new-years-day/#comments Mon, 01 Jan 2024 01:42:11 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=199955 (Zero Hedge)—Days after hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters surrounded the World Trade Center in New York City and screamed “Allahu akbar,” a flyer circulating social media platform X shows a possible rally at John F. Kennedy International Airport on New Year’s Day.

Joel Mowbray, a former columnist for the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a non-partisan institution focusing on national security and foreign policy, pointed out the protest flyer is full of hate:

Pro-Palestinian “protesters” are now openly embracing Hamas. Key word is “flood.” Hamas calls 10/7 massacres “Operation Al Aqsa Flood.”

So “Flood JFK for Gaza” is an open support for Hamas’ campaign of raping, murdering and beheading Jews — and Muslims & Christians. Vile.

Organized protesters are expected to arrive by foot and vehicles at JFK Terminal 4 (departures) around 1400 ET Monday. The terminal serves several international airlines, including El Al Israel Airlines Ltd.

“On New Year’s Day, pro-Hamas mobs plan on shutting down JFK airport, but don’t worry, New York’s governor @GovKathyHochul and @NYCMayor Eric Adams will be hard at work nursing their New Year’s Eve hangover. Once they’re over it, they’ll pretend it did not happen,” one X user said in response to the flyer.

Another person said: “Ah yes, disrupt people trying to get home for the holidays for your cause. I’m sure they will agree with you and support it now.”

Marxist groups appear to be funding these anti-Israel protests, as some point out. What’s troubling, just like when Marxist groups supported Black Lives Matter, the federal government appears to be ignoring these folks who are shutting down highways, bridges, business districts, and airports nationwide.

Last Wednesday, anti-Israel protesters blocked critical roadways to JFK.

Where is the Biden administration denouncing these rogue organized protesters shutting down critical infrastructure? There should be zero tolerance for any group attempting to disrupt airports. Maybe Biden’s federal government is too busy weaponizing agencies against Trump supporters to actually care about real threats to the nation.

Israel’s Military Strikes Hezbollah Command Center in Serious Escalation https://americanconservativemovement.com/israels-military-strikes-hezbollah-command-center-in-serious-escalation/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/israels-military-strikes-hezbollah-command-center-in-serious-escalation/#comments Mon, 25 Dec 2023 00:09:39 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=199716 (Zero Hedge)—This weekend has witnessed a significant escalation between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Hezbollah along the southern Lebanese border.

Israeli media reported that a Hezbollah command center has been attacked. “The IDF says fighter jets have hit a Hezbollah military headquarters in Lebanon in response to attacks on northern Israel today, including one that left a soldier moderately wounded,” TOI reports.

This came following Hezbollah attacks on multiple Israeli military and civilian positions. The IDF then expanded its artillery shelling. While since Oct.7 exchanges of fire have been daily, the weekend saw an expansion of the frequency of these strikes.

Northern Israel’s Kibbutz Menara was attacked in the Saturday flare-up in violence. The northern Israel community said: “The harsh reality is that from the beginning of the war, dozens of missiles were fired towards the kibbutz, most of them anti-tank missiles. As a result, at least 86 out of 155 apartments were affected with various degrees of damage,” according to an official statement issued by the Kibbutz.

On Friday some 20 rockets were fired on Israel from Lebanon within only a 24-period. Early in the Gaza conflict, some days might have witnessed a handful of rockets and mortars fired in what has remained a “limited” front. But it’s a deeply worrying sign that the ‘norm’ has now become dozens of projectiles exchanged on any given day.

Soon after Oct.7, Israel began evacuating dozens of towns and settlements near the border, to within 2km of it, after Hezbollah rockets began raining down. At this point Israel says at least 80,000 of its citizens are still forced to stay away from their residences amid the Hezbollah threat. They have effectively become temporary refugees.

In Gaza, the IDF issued a new casualty count over the weekend, as follows:

The Israel Defense Forces announced Sunday the names of nine soldiers killed in fighting in the Gaza Strip throughout the previous day, bringing the number of troops killed over the entire weekend to 14, as the military deepened its offensive against the Hamas terror group.

Five soldiers of the Combat Engineering Corps and a paramedic were killed by an anti-tank guided missile that hit a Namer armored engineering vehicle they were in, in southern Gaza. Another four were killed by bombs in two separate incidents during battles with gunmen in central Gaza.

The deaths bring the number of troops killed since the start of the ground operation in late October to 153.

Watch: Hezbollah has published a series of clips showing the continued degrading of Israeli defense communications facilities along the border…

As for operation in Israel’s north, there have been conflicting accounts regarding Israeli leadership’s intentions. Some reports have claimed that Netanyahu wants to launch a preemptive war to eradicate Hezbollah along with Hamas. But others say Israel’s command understands that opening a full front with the Iran-backed paramilitary group might seriously overextend Israeli forces, also at a politically sensitive moment.

Hezbollah is widely seen as a more formidable, better-armed force as well – and thus it could potentially become an even bloodier campaign than what’s taking place now in the Gaza Strip if a full war front is opened up.

Elon Musk Announces New Policy, Phrases Such as “Decolonization” and “From the River to the Sea” Could Result in X Ban https://americanconservativemovement.com/elon-musk-announces-new-policy-phrases-such-as-decolonization-and-from-the-river-to-the-sea-could-result-in-x-ban/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/elon-musk-announces-new-policy-phrases-such-as-decolonization-and-from-the-river-to-the-sea-could-result-in-x-ban/#comments Sat, 18 Nov 2023 22:23:58 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=198551 Editor’s Commentary: As much as I believe the vile phrases that call for genocide against Jews — or anyone — destroy discourse and expose people to false narratives, I am opposed to this move by Elon Musk. It’s not a free speech issue as Twitter (X) is now a private company (I’m not going to debate government protections over social media platforms today) and can do whatever it wants within the framework of the law.

People are allowed to be disgusting as long as they’re not encouraging direct harm. Saying, “from the river to the sea,” is abominable but it’s very different from someone saying, “let’s kill this Jew… here’s his address.”

This is a business move. His platform is being threatened because “woke” companies are being pressured by radical leftist groups to withdraw advertising. I get it and I’m not in his shoes so I don’t know the financial repercussions he’s facing. I just wish he would continue to be a defender of free speech by choice rather than an on-again, off-again censor. Here’s the report by Cindy Harper…

(Reclaim The Net)—Elon Musk has announced a new change in policy to X. On Friday, his announcement established that the use of terms such as “decolonization” and “from the river to the sea”— phrases commonly thrown around by the pro-Palestine movement — would invite suspension on the platform as they imply genocide. The change came after pressure from major corporate advertisers.

While these expressions have emerged as rallying cries in support of Palestinians, numerous individuals and groups, including supporters of Israel, Jewish advocacy teams, and others, perceive these phrases as eliminatory and anti-Semitic rhetoric that advocates the obliteration of the Jewish state and the Jewish people.

Representative Rashida Tlaib faced official censure from the House of Representatives in part due to her endorsement of the phrase “from the river to the sea,” and the phrase was chosen by Hamas as a slogan for the designated terror group’s 2017 revised charter.

Musk, who once described himself as a “free speech absolutist” stated that phrases such as this are tantamount to “extreme violence.”

He added: “At risk of stating the obvious, anyone advocating the genocide of *any* group will be suspended from this platform.”

X has been criticized for not censoring enough speech regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict, with companies such as Disney, Apple, IBM, and Lionsgate, pulling advertising from the platform.

X has been accused of both anti-Semitism and Islamophobia and it remains uncertain if the platform’s users will indeed be suspended for using the contested phrases.

Hamas Prepares for a “Permanent” War With Israel https://americanconservativemovement.com/hamas-prepares-for-a-permanent-war-with-israel/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/hamas-prepares-for-a-permanent-war-with-israel/#comments Sat, 11 Nov 2023 15:55:23 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=198347 (SHTF Plan)—Leaders of the terrorist group Hamas (who started the war with Israel on October 7th) have said that this conflict is going to be permanent.  The militant group is pushing the allies in the Arab and wider Muslim world to stand with the people of Gaza and engage in a permanent state of war with Israel.

Hamas is urging others to join their war, as fears that the conflict could overspill into a wider regional or even global war expand daily. One wrong move by any player, and this conflagration will explode rapidly.

Khalil al-Hayya, a member of Hamas’ top leadership body said in an interview with the New York Times in Doha, Qatar, that the dire events in Israel and Palestine since Hamas’ surprise attack on October 7 are necessary “to change the entire equation and not just have a clash.” This means that Hamas wants to stoke the conflict to garner more of the world’s attention. –Natural News

“We succeeded in putting the Palestinian issue back on the table, and now no one in the region is experiencing calm,” said Hamas media adviser Taher El-Nounou. “I hope that the state of war with Israel will become permanent on all the borders and that the Arab world will stand with us.”

The New York Post claims Hamas decision-makers are often far removed from the fight: “The terror group’s three top leaders alone are worth a staggering total of $11 billion and enjoy a life of luxury in the sanctuary of the emirate of Qatar.”

The U.S. is positioning itself as a neutral party, yet the decisions it continues to make appear to be pushing toward a global conflict.

“Humanitarian pauses to allow aid to get in, civilians to get out? That makes sense but a ceasefire, go back and look at October 7 and see what those Hamas militants did, and to say that you should just let them walk? I can’t support that at this point,” Representative Adam Smith, a Democrat from Washington state said.

House Votes to Censure Rashida Tlaib Over Anti-Israel Comments https://americanconservativemovement.com/house-votes-to-censure-rashida-tlaib-over-anti-israel-comments/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/house-votes-to-censure-rashida-tlaib-over-anti-israel-comments/#comments Wed, 08 Nov 2023 09:39:52 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=198271 (Daily Caller)—Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan’s 12th District has been censured by the House of Representatives following a vote on Tuesday night.

A privileged resolution to censure Tlaib was introduced on Monday by Republican Rep. Rich McCormick of Georgia following her repeated comments criticizing Israel for its response to terrorist attacks by Hamas on Oct. 7. After a motion to table the resolution failed on Tuesday, the House advanced the final vote on the measure to later that evening where it passed by a vote of 234 yeas to 188 nays, with four members voting present and seven not voting.

“We must do the right thing and hold those in the people’s house to account,” McCormick wrote on Twitter, now known as X, ahead of the vote. “This is because of [Tlaib’s] inaccurate statements and inflammatory rhetoric that have literally said a nation, a strong ally of ours, Israel, should not exist.”

Twenty-two Democrats voted in favor of the resolution to censure Tlaib, their colleague, while four Republicans voted against the resolution.

Tlaib’s rhetoric has been criticized by elected Democrats and Republicans in both houses of Congress, which has widely been viewed as not sufficiently critical of Hamas’ actions on Oct. 7, where infants and the elderly were reported to have been killed in a gruesome manner by jihadist terrorists. She has also been criticized for her appearance at rallies hosted by anti-Israel groups, such as Jewish Voices for Peace, in Washington, D.C.

“From the river to the sea is an aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence, not death, destruction, or hate. My work and advocacy is always centered in justice and dignity for all people no matter faith or ethnicity,” Tlaib tweeted on Friday, defending the use of a phrase for which she’s been criticized.

McCormick’s resolution is one of two privileged resolutions that have been offered to censure Tlaib. The other, introduced by Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, was initially tabled by the House on Nov. 1.

Although Tlaib’s comments were widely condemned, a few of her prominent Democratic colleagues took to the House floor on Tuesday to defend her.

“I spent all weekend in Michigan talking to all communities about the meaning of this phrase and there are really strong feelings on all sides,” said Democratic Rep. Debbie Dingell of Michigan during a speech on the floor of the House. “People interpret words in different ways. Personally, I choose not to use the phrase that is offensive to some and perceived as a threat.”

“This resolution is about one thing and one thing only: the punishment of speech,” said Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland. “So we have a chance to show the world what the American Constitution means and how we hold fast to our core principles, even when we are drawn away from them by our passions and our righteous anger.”

So far, only one other member of the 118th Congress, Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California, has been censured, a resolution for which was passed on a party-line vote.

Tlaib’s office did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Democrats Are Chastising Rashida Tlaib’s Support for Hamas, but Don’t Expect Their Opposition to Last https://americanconservativemovement.com/democrats-are-chastising-rashida-tlaibs-support-for-hamas-but-dont-expect-their-opposition-to-last/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/democrats-are-chastising-rashida-tlaibs-support-for-hamas-but-dont-expect-their-opposition-to-last/#comments Mon, 06 Nov 2023 06:43:48 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=198195 For now, there are still many Democrat lawmakers who are voicing their support for Israel and condemning Hamas for their terrorist attacks. They’re even going after the most vocal members of their own party, especially Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, for

But as the “Free Palestine” movement grows in size and volume, it’s safe to assume most if not nearly all Democrat lawmakers currently supporting Israel will either go quiet or change their tune completely. Their party cannot win elections without radical voters, whether they’re leftists or Muslims who approve of Hamas’ actions. Democrats, including Joe Biden, will eventually turn against Israel. We’re already seeing signs of the shift from the White House and many of those who initially voiced support for Israel have been conspicuously silent the last week. But for now, they’re hitting Tlaib and others and will continue to do so until the political winds shift far enough to the left.

Today, Tlaib is a pariah. Soon, she’ll be the accepted representative of the Democrats’ stance on “Palestine.” Here’s an article generated from corporate media reports…

Rashida Tlaib Is Being Hit by Fellow Democrats Over Antisemitic Statements

Members of the Democratic Party are criticizing Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., for her defense of the pro-Palestinian chant, “From the river to the sea,” which she characterized as an “aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence.” Tlaib shared her interpretation of the chant on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) on November 3.

In response, a group called StopAntisemitism on X informed Tlaib that the phrase actually refers to “the full erasure of the Jewish state, from Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.”

The group added that the chant is Hamas’ battle cry and accused Tlaib of echoing terrorists.

Notably, it is not just Republican lawmakers who have criticized Tlaib. Members of the Democratic Party have also called her out on the matter. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, a Democrat, urged Tlaib to “retract” the “cruel and hateful” social media post. Nessel expressed her disappointment and said, “@RashidaTlaib, I have supported and defended you countless times, even when you have said the indefensible, because I believed you to be a good person whose heart was in the right place. But this is so hurtful to so many. Please retract this cruel and hateful remark.”

Rep. Elissa Slotkin, another Democrat from Michigan, who is described as “the only Jewish member” of Michigan’s congressional delegation, reached out to her Arab and Muslim constituents who “are feeling fear and anguish” and called on Tlaib to do the same. Slotkin stated, “The phrase ‘from the river to the sea’ is one of division & violence, & it is counterproductive to promoting peace. None of us, especially elected leaders, should amplify language that inflames a tense situation & makes it harder for our communities to find common ground.”

Sen. Jacky Rosen, D-Nev., also criticized Tlaib and stated, “‘From the river to the sea’ is a call for eliminating the state of Israel that rejects a two-state solution & puts Jews in danger. We must reject extremism, no matter which side of the aisle it comes from. America’s support for Israel remains unwavering.”

Alongside Democrats, some Republicans, including Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., have also called out Tlaib for her statements. The controversy surrounding Tlaib’s defense of the chant reflects the ongoing tensions and divisions surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
