Teddy Deschler – American Conservative Movement https://americanconservativemovement.com American exceptionalism isn't dead. It just needs to be embraced. Today, many of us find ourselves questioning every action from the Department of Justice in general and the FBI in particular. Instead of trusting that national law enforcement will only use force when absolutely justified, it seems more likely that they engaged in unnecessary or even criminal actions that led to the death of an unarmed man.

But this isn’t about who to believe between the FBI and the family. It’s about the lack of information being put forth by the FBI. If they believe they were justified in killing Teddy Deschler, they needed to come out with information backing that claim immediately following the incident. If they believe they were wrong and Deschler should not have been killed, they needed to declare an investigation into the incident within 24 hours. The fact that the raid is two weeks old and we have heard next to nothing is completely unacceptable. Here’s the latest news generated through information from the family since the FBI isn’t talking about it:

The family of Theodore “Teddy” Deschler, a disabled veteran who was killed during a pre-dawn raid by FBI agents, is seeking answers and calling for justification for the raid and his shooting.

The incident took place on August 16 in Henderson, Tennessee, when an FBI SWAT team arrived at Deschler’s home. Approximately 15 minutes later, the 45-year-old veteran was shot and killed, as reported by WBBJ.

Deschler’s brother, Russell Deschler, expressed his dismay, stating that his brother was a 100% disabled veteran who was seeking help for his severe PTSD and depression. Russell called the act senseless and unjustified.

Bonnie Deschler, Theodore’s mother, was present in the house during the raid. She stated that she answered the door when she heard agents pounding and was subsequently pulled from the home and placed in the back of a police vehicle. When she inquired about the reason for their presence, the agents replied dismissively, saying, “It’s none of your business.”

According to the family, flashbang explosives, tear gas, and bullets were used during the raid. The windows were shattered, and SWAT trucks caused significant damage to the yard. Russell believes his brother was unarmed, and he alleges that agents fired into the house through the garage window, making it difficult to see Deschler’s position in the kitchen.

Russell told WBBJ that his brother did not have a weapon on him and was merely trying to escape because of the tear gas filling the house. He argued that due to the obscured view caused by the door’s height and Teddy’s position, it was impossible to determine if he was armed or not, though Russell insisted that he was not.

A neighbor, Alex Morris, recounted being awakened by the commotion outside. He stated that he heard loud bangs, followed by announcements from loudspeakers indicating that the FBI was present and requesting that the individual inside come out with their hands up.

Earlier this year, Deschler had been arrested as a suspect in a gas station stabbing in a nearby town, according to the Selmer Police Department. However, details of the attack and any charges resulting from it remain unclear.

Deschler’s family is demanding information regarding the arrest warrant issued against him and the circumstances surrounding his death. Despite their inquiries, they claim that no significant details have been shared with them. The FBI released a statement acknowledging the incident but did not provide further information, stating that the matter is currently under review.

The family is now considering filing a civil suit against the FBI in response to the tragic incident. The FBI declined to comment on the ongoing investigation, and requests for comments from Russell Deschler and the Henderson Police Department have not been answered by Fox News.
