Uniparty Swamp – American Conservative Movement https://americanconservativemovement.com American exceptionalism isn't dead. It just needs to be embraced. She was once popular enough in South Carolina to draw a prominent Ambassadorship to the United Nations in the beginning of the first Trump administration despite endorsing Ted Cruz in the GOP primary.

She’s just not as popular anymore. In fact, analysts and commentators aren’t even debating whether she can win but rather how badly she’ll lose. The GOP primary is over. It was over before the Iowa caucus.

But she has vowed to stay in. Granted, everyone vows to stay in presidential primaries longer than they actually intend to because declaring that they’ll consider dropping out means they’re definitely dropping out. But with no illusions that she can actually defeat Donald Trump in any state, the money keeps coming in. Why is that? What do “they” know that we apparently don’t?

There has been speculation that she and her UniParty Swamp backers have reasons to believe Trump will not be able to accept the nomination. Whether through lawfare or even more nefarious means, the Swamp is using every possible ploy to prevent him from taking on Joe Biden or whoever else they decide to run. If they are confident that they can pull it off, then Haley seems to be their replacement candidate.

At this point, public information does not lend to the idea that Trump is going to be lawfared out of contention. The criminal cases against him are moving slowly. Manhattan Attorney General Alvin Bragg is being pressured to focus on putting away criminals instead of obsessing over Trump. Special Counsel Jack Smith is losing more than he’s winning in the early rounds of his cases against Trump. Efforts to remove Trump from ballots continue stalling.

Do the powers-that-be know something? Are one or more of the longshot cases against Trump rigged to jail him? Do they finally have a scandal to unleash that can stick? Are they planning on blackmailing Trump somehow? Or, God forbid, do they intend to take him out in other ways?

In the primary race itself, South Carolina will be a bellwether for Trump’s surging support from Black voters. It SHOULD mark the end of Haley’s uneventful campaign. But if it doesn’t then we must assume there’s something ugly driving her otherwise hopeless actions. Even John Kasich was able to win his home state in 2016. If Haley doesn’t read the writing on the wall, then we’ll know she’s being shown a different, secret picture.

What do you think? Will Haley stay in? Leave your thoughts on The Liberty Daily Substack.

Fox News vs. America https://americanconservativemovement.com/fox-news-vs-america/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/fox-news-vs-america/#comments Thu, 05 Oct 2023 21:53:39 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=197505 The last time I watched Fox News for longer than a clip posted on social media was Election Day, 2020. I’d always felt Fox News was corrupted, “controlled opposition” if you will, but it was that night that I realized they’re actually worse than CNN or MSNBC in their manipulation. With the two leftwing cable news networks, you know up front what to expect. With Fox News, conservatives across the nation are being gaslighted at least 20% of the time if not more.

That’s the key to their propagandist success against their right-leaning viewers. They’ll lambast Critical Race Theory in schools. They’ll hit Joe Biden on the border. They’ll declare how perverse Drag Queen Story Hour is. But in between their “safe” conservative perspectives, they’ll sneak in support for sending more taxpayer dollars to Ukraine. They’ll throw subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) jabs at Donald Trump. They’ll interview Lindsey Graham, Dan Crenshaw, and the other GOP Establishment NeoCons.

In other words, they indoctrinate what I call “Fox News Conservatives” into buying what the right-leaning wing of the UniParty Swamp is selling.

Ever since Election Day, 2020, I’ve wanted to write a piece about Fox News. I’ve hit them with small pieces and mentions on my show sporadically, but I wasn’t inspired to dedicate a full article to the subject until their coordinated attack was launched against Matt Gaetz following his ousting of UniParty Swamp Golden Boy Kevin McCarthy.

I know not everyone is a fan of Gaetz. You don’t have to be his fan to recognize that the response from Fox News has been unhinged for effect. And it’s not just Gaetz that they’re targeting. They’re going after anyone in Congress who wants to make the changes necessary to break up the status quo. Yesterday, I hit Brian Kilmeade for his “interview” of Tim Burchett:

They wanted the Ryan-Boehner-Romney-Bush GOP to rise and for MAGA to fade away. McCarthy was supposed to do that, but now their dream is stunted. Instead of licking their wounds and conspiring to promote the next RINO supervillain, they’re lashing out at the eight patriots who stood up to McCarthy on behalf of America and their constituents.

One such target is Tim Burchett, a Congressman from Tennessee. He went on with Fox News Swamp-shill Brian Kilmeade to discuss what transpired and to look ahead to brighter days for the Republican-controlled House and the nation. The interview started off cordially enough, but half-way into it Kilmeade became obnoxious. It got to the point that he could barely contain his spite toward the anti-McCarthy eight, continuously asking vitriolic questions before cutting Burchett off.

During one comical moment in the interview, Kilmeade interrupted Burchett while he was talking about being interrupted every time he spoke. Watch:

This is just another example of why Fox News is failing despite being clearly on top of cable news when Tucker Carlson was still there.

We’ve seen attacks by Fox News against “The Gaetzful Eight” for two straight days. Most hosts have been in full-blown smear-mode. But none of them have been more disgusting to me than what Mark Levin has been saying. My response to one of his smears garnered some attention with over 100K views so far. That’s far from viral, but for my shadowbanned account it’s well beyond my average reach.

As I noted on Twitter in reply to Levin’s attack of Gaetz:

True story about Mark Levin…

He’s currently complaining that Democrats backed the motion to vacate.

But when all but one Democrat backed Kevin McCarthy’s CR, you didn’t hear Levin calling him a moron. You didn’t see him screaming about McCarthy telling lies to conservatives. You didn’t hear a peep from him about McCarthy cutting deals with Chuck Schumer in private.

That’s because Levin and far too many “conservative” media figures are tasked with keeping Fox-News-watching Republicans aligned with the status quo.

People like Levin perpetuate the fiction that it’s all about Republican vs. Democrat. The last thing the powers-that-be want is for people to wake up to the reality that it’s actually the bipartisan, globalist-align UniParty Swamp versus the people.

The best thing @mattgaetz and his allies did was NOT getting rid of McCarthy. The best thing they did was to draw out the #SwampShills so we could recognize them by the agenda they serve.

BY NO MEANS do I believe Matt Gaetz, Donald Trump, or anyone other than Jesus Christ is above reproach. We are living in polarized times so it’s expected that people like Levin will express their opinions passionately. But the vitriol he’s been spewing seems over-the-top and extraordinarily lopsided.

Whenever attacks are lopsided they come across as hypocritical. Since I do not believe Levin is a hypocrite, I have to conclude he’s part of the Fox News controlled opposition crew.

And that’s disappointing.

Fox vs America

As I noted before, I am a firm believer that CNN and MSNBC do less damage than Fox News because their core audience is already brainwashed. Fox News watchers are generally right-leaning which means they’re generally more individualistic and therefore not aligned with collectivism.

At the end of the day, I believe the purpose of Fox News in their work on behalf of the UniParty Swamp (and therefore the Deep State and the Globalist Elite Cabal) is to herd right-leaning Americans into a collectivist mindset. They want us to follow the herd to get vaccinated. They want us to join the crowd by funding Ukrainian oligarchs. They want us to pretend there was no voter fraud in 2020 or 2022. They want us to think Kevin McCarthy is awesome and Matt Gaetz is evil.

Unfortunately, it’s working. I have friends who are otherwise aligned with my thinking who tell me my opposition to funding Ukraine means I’m a Putin-lover. There are far too many Republicans who think the last two elections were fair and square. And there are many Republicans who were skeptical of the jabs got theirs anyway because of what Sean Hannity or others said. Heck, even Trump has promoted them heavily in large part due to what Hannity and Mike Pence told him.

We need discernment badly. I know many of my readers have already switched to Newsmax, One America News, Real America’s Voice, or any of the other smaller networks. I’m not going to recommend any of them directly, mostly because the ones I consider to be “bad” are still better than Fox News. I’ll let readers discuss it in the comments. The key point is we all need to find news outlets we like that are NOT Fox. We also need to warn our friends and relatives who are still watching Fox News.

As a general rule, any outlet that’s running ads by Pfizer or Moderna are either leftwing or controlled opposition.

We can try to chalk it all up to left-leaning leadership or even ownership at Fox News. That’s partially valid. But we have to assume that they are fully captured by the powers-that-be. That means they’re not just at war with Donald Trump or Matt Gaetz or MAGA in general. They’re at war with America. Unfortunately, most of their viewers don’t realize this.

Propaganda comes in many forms. Sometimes it’s blatant. Other times it’s subtle. But once an outlet goes down the dark path, they should be considered lost forever.

Sound off about this story on my Substack.

The Republican Wing of the UniParty Swamp Got Exposed so Their Media Shills Are Literally Shaking https://americanconservativemovement.com/the-republican-wing-of-the-uniparty-swamp-got-exposed-so-their-media-shills-are-literally-shaking/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/the-republican-wing-of-the-uniparty-swamp-got-exposed-so-their-media-shills-are-literally-shaking/#comments Wed, 04 Oct 2023 13:37:50 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=197465 In my years following conservative and alternative media, I’ve split every member into one of two groups. Some are UniParty Swamp shills. Others are actual truthtellers and patriots. Fox News and the vast majority of their show hosts fall into the former category.

This is why some of them are apoplectic following the ousting of Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House. Their moderate RINO golden boy was supposed to bring back Establishment control of the GOP, both ideologically and governmentally. Instead, he failed to fulfill very basic promises that he made nine months ago to secure his position in the first place.

Brian Kilmeade isn’t a bad journalist. He’s not like Rachel Maddow or Jim Acosta who built their followings by being entertainingly horrible. Kilmeade is simply mediocre as a host with an average intellect. He gets his talking points from his Swamp handlers.

Even Commie Cornel West Can See Through the UniParty Swamp’s Ukraine Narrative https://americanconservativemovement.com/even-commie-cornel-west-can-see-through-the-uniparty-swamps-ukraine-narrative/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/even-commie-cornel-west-can-see-through-the-uniparty-swamps-ukraine-narrative/#respond Tue, 11 Jul 2023 04:36:41 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=194639 They say even a broken clock is right twice a day. Communists, on the other hand, are almost never right and Cornel West is up there as one of the most often to be wrong. He embraces BLM, Critical Race Theory, and everything that falls under the Social Justice umbrella.

That’s why it’s so surprising that he really did get one right.

In a Tweet, West laid out the perspectives that are shared by those who oppose the UniParty Swamp from both the left and the right. The NeoCon inspired and Obama-Biden manufactured war in Ukraine needs to end and West pointed out who’s really at fault [emphasis added]:

Let us not be deceived: NATO is an expanding instrument of U.S. global power that provoked Russia into a criminal invasion and occupation of Ukraine. This proxy war between the American Empire and the Russian Federation could lead to World War III. We must stop the war and war crimes (including cluster bombs used by all parties) and embark on diplomatic talks that should lead to a just peace. As the great W. E. B. Du Bois wrote in 1945 “I seem to see outlined a third World War based on the suppression of Asia and the strangling of Russia.” The Democratic Party is a party of war and Wall Street targeting Russia and China. Let us save our democracy and world by dismantling U.S. militarism at home (as in Cop Cities) and abroad – as Martin Luther King Jr. painfully reminded us!

Patriot Patrick Byrne noted the Tweet and told a story of his encounter with West:

This may be the only time Cornel West says something that makes sense. Remember this day fondly.

DC Should Be Renamed for Benedict Arnold https://americanconservativemovement.com/dc-should-be-renamed-for-benedict-arnold/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/dc-should-be-renamed-for-benedict-arnold/#comments Mon, 10 Jul 2023 18:05:29 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=194612 There is no doubt in my mind that if General George Washington were alive to see how the permanent political class had defiled his good name, he would raze D.C. to the ground.  “But George,” I imagine Martha pleading, “there surely are some good people in the nation’s capital who still serve the Republic.”

“I don’t think so.  They celebrate baby murder, educate children inside brothels, tax the people to death, corruptly enrich themselves, and send the poorest to fight foreign wars for vague reasons.”

“In that case, wait here; I’ll go grab the torches.”  Martha was a patriotic and courageous first lady, who was never so insecure that she required strangers to address her as “Doctor.”

If the denizens of D.C. had even the slightest inclination toward honesty, they would rename their little swampland after Benedict Arnold, a man whose capacity for betrayal they all secretly emulate.  The filthy cesspool of narcissists and thieves rules over most of North America and a good chunk of the globe, but it is despised by pretty much anyone on the planet not making a buck from the crony Capitol-ism that fuels the whole rotten system.

Whatever courses through the Leviathan’s veins, it stinks to high heaven.  Of course, now that cocaine has been legalized in the West Wing, who knows what kinds of other intoxicants the Leviathan is hopped up on these days?  The whole of D.C. has the twitchy personality of a boozing streetwalker bouncing back and forth from coke to ketamine.  It is little surprise that the “ruling class” refuses to close the border to fentanyl.  A whole city addicted to power and pharmaceuticals can’t welch on the same drug-dealers who fill both the campaign coffers and party stashes of the city’s most decadent deadbeats.

Speaking of fentanyl, the Drug Enforcement Administration has a public safety campaign under the catchy slogan “One Pill Can Kill,” as part of D.C.’s continuing efforts to solve real-life problems with Twitter hashtags.  One open border can kill, too, but saying that out loud is neither “politically correct” nor financially viable to an upper-crust corporate oligarchy that survives on cheap, illicit labor.  The residents of Benedict Arnold are nothing if not patent hypocrites, but it still seems incongruous for the same bureaucrats who glorify abortifacients to demonize opioids.  The Planned Parenthood priesthood spends most of its time cheering, “One pill can kill — yay!”  On the other hand, Planned Parenthood’s child-sacrificing disciples — many of whom love opioids as much as Hunter Biden does — pretend to worry about the drug epidemic killing Americans in staggering numbers.  Warnings from the same deviants whose open border policies and fixation with child dismemberment have taken more American lives than any foreign military sound sinisterly hollow.

All the average American asks of the federal government is this: provide for our common defense against foreign aggressors; negotiate with other nations on the collective states’ behalf; ensure the operation of a judicial system that treats everyone fairly and evenly; if you’re going to issue a form of money, make sure to maintain its stable value; refrain from starting reckless wars that squander American lives; abide by the restrictions of the Constitution; defend the Bill of Rights; respect the states’ individual sovereignty; and, otherwise, get out of the way.

The Benedict Arnolds have instead illegally opened America’s borders, constructed a criminal (in)justice system that targets political enemies, stolen Americans’ incomes through exorbitant taxes, devalued Americans’ monetary currency through profligate spending, engaged in an unending cycle of wars, abandoned the Constitution, infringed Americans’ inalienable rights, ignored the states’ inherent authority, and inserted themselves into every crevice of American life.  To top it all off, their globalist agenda to push “green” energy has destroyed the economy.

Only a dum-dum like Biden would name our current economic doldrums after himself.  Bidenomics?  Seriously?  Is that when you make less, own less, and give the government more?  Or is it the name for a crony Capitol-ist system that allows a “public servant” to own three homes and be a millionaire?  Or maybe Bidenomics describes a sounder of low-class swine who can afford cocaine but not child support.  Whatever its technical definition, its effect is the same: the politically connected keep getting richer while sticking it to the middle class who work for a living.  No wonder a lifelong grifter universally known as a bought-and-paid-for stooge of America’s foreign enemies couldn’t care less whether his name is synonymous with economic malaise — just so long as he gets his 10% cut from the communist Chinese!

I wish I could say that Republicans in D.C. are capable of righting the ship at some point.  I wish the party of Lincoln still had real principles and served some greater purpose aside from providing the appearance of an electoral choice for voters.  For decades, though, it has been the home of too many backstabbing neoconservatives all too willing to vote for Hillary Clinton and underhanded Uniparty co-conspirators working for Marxist globalism and against the American people.  In reality, most Republican officeholders are shiny hood ornaments whose function is to distract the public while the Deep State barrels down the road, hitting innocent pedestrians.

Have you noticed how little Republicans actually get done when Donald Trump is not in town?  They do a lot of loud huffing and puffing but follow up with little in the way of concrete action.  While unethical prosecutors and judges lock up Trump confidants and supporters for their political beliefs, Republican leaders do nothing.  While the Department of (in)Justice pursues a potential life sentence against President Trump, Republican leaders are silent.  When thoughtcrimescensorship, and political persecution run rampant, the time for half-measures has ended.

Commie-leaning rags habitually run headlines claiming that Republicans have “pounced” on some issue; conservative publications run headlines applauding Republicans for having “sounded the alarm.”  I don’t know about you, but the Republican Party reminds me of a bunch of kitty-cat Karens who struggle to do anything more than report their problems to the manager.  In a time when only lions will do, the house cats in D.C. just add stink to the litter box.

It is no surprise, then, that Americans keep looking for political “outsiders” willing to rid D.C. of its Benedict Arnold infestation once and for all.  President Trump still holds a commanding lead in Republican primary polling, and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has a solid twenty-plus-percentage share among Democrats.  Granted, China Joe puts the lame in “lame duck” as no other child-sniffing fraud could, but it is still amazing that so much of the electorate desperately seeks a leader untethered to B.A., D.C.  The “ruling class” clings to permanent power, and the American people — across the political spectrum — are saying quite loudly: It sure would be nice if some cowboy with a little grit visited the entrenched kakistocracy.

Maybe that doesn’t bother a political cabal smitten with rigged elections and accustomed to sticking its collective head up its own derrière, but it should.  Institutions that lack legitimacy don’t last long, and recent polls make it strikingly clear that Americans have almost no confidence in the financial, political, and cultural institutions that surround them.  While the Feds hunt J6 election protesters, parents concerned about sexualized school curricula, and illusory “white supremacists” lurking in the hills, a majority of Americans know that the real Benedict Arnolds reside just above the sewers of D.C.  A city that rules an empire cannot persevere when it betrays its erstwhile friends — and certainly not when it treats everyone opposed to its municipal dominion as an enemy.

Fewer Than One in Seven House Republicans Have a Good Liberty Score Grade https://americanconservativemovement.com/fewer-than-one-in-seven-house-republicans-have-a-good-liberty-score-grade/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/fewer-than-one-in-seven-house-republicans-have-a-good-liberty-score-grade/#respond Thu, 29 Jun 2023 14:11:15 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=194119 RINOs, NeoCons, and puppets of the UniParty Swamp dominate the Republican Party on Capitol Hill. This isn’t new and it isn’t likely to change anytime soon, but it’s still startling to see how bad the GOP has gotten.

Even more shocking is how few Republican voters realize they keep electing people who are working against their best interests, the nation, and the so-called Republican platform.

Steve Deace from The Blaze put some names to the few good ones in Congress. By his tally, only 30 out of 222 House Republicans have a 90% score on Conservative Review’s Liberty Score:

There are currently just 30 out of 222 House Republicans who have a 90% (A-grade) or higher Liberty Score via Conservative Review:

    • Biggs
    • Bishop
    • Boebert
    • Buck
    • Burchett
    • Cloud
    • Clyde
    • Davidson
    • Donalds
    • Duncan
    • Gohmert
    • Good
    • Gooden
    • Gosar
    • Greene
    • Herrell
    • Hice
    • Jordan
    • Mann
    • Massie
    • McClintock
    • Miller
    • Mooney
    • Moore
    • Nehls
    • Norman
    • Rosendale
    • Roy
    • Steube
    • Tiffany

On the other hand, 93/222 House Republicans currently have a Liberty Score under 70% (D/F-grade).

In other words, there are three times more terrible Republicans currently in the House then there are excellent ones.

Those who think we’re going to elect our way out of the current messes in this country get two things wrong. First, the rigged elections mean even many of the Republicans who are allowed to win are actually just stooges for the UniParty Swamp. Second, until there are actual conservatives and America First patriots in control of the party itself, it’s just going to be a lesser-of-two-evils scenario at best.

In some scenarios, the Republicans actually advance the machinations of the Globalist Elite Cabal faster than the Democrats. The Senate GOP is even worse than the House.

We have to stop thinking along the lines of Republican versus Democrat. That should be a very loose guideline to cover the basics, but we need to do much better than that with our discernment. This is why I’ve said for years that the primary elections are exponentially more important than the general elections. If we keep sending RINOs to the halls of government, we’re just empowering the UniParty Swamp. We need patriots who actually love this nation and work for the people to be our representatives.

“Fiscal Irresponsibility Act” Passes House, Setting Stage for Debt Limit Suspension in Huge Victory for Uniparty Swamp https://americanconservativemovement.com/fiscal-irresponsibility-act-passes-house-setting-stage-for-debt-limit-suspension-in-huge-victory-for-uniparty-swamp/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/fiscal-irresponsibility-act-passes-house-setting-stage-for-debt-limit-suspension-in-huge-victory-for-uniparty-swamp/#comments Thu, 01 Jun 2023 01:06:04 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=193129 Republicans who backed Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy’s debt deal with the Biden-Harris regime expect you to believe that they got huge wins in spending cuts in exchange for suspending the debt limit until 2025.

The Uniparty Swamp got what they wanted without having to give up, well, anything. It was all theater to set the stage for the House of Representatives to pass the comically named “Fiscal Responsibility Act” while maintaining the illusion of battle. In reality, only a few staunch conservatives and their radical leftist counterparts were opposed to it.

This will pass in the Senate on Friday and hit Joe Biden’s desk just in time to usher in 19 months of unfettered Big Government spending.

Here are the “victories” McCarthy got with the exceptional leverage he went in with at the start of negotiations:

  • Debt Ceiling Suspended: This is, of course, not a victory at all as it will balloon the national debt by at least $4 trillion, but hey, at least we won’t suffer the dreaded default that Janet Yellen wielded deftly for fearmongering effect.
  • Caps on Non-Defense Spending: They rolled back spending to fiscal 2022 levels and “only” allowed for 1% annual growth over the next six years. This is not a victory. Fiscal 2022 was way too high already. Rolling it back to those levels is like saying we’re going to cut back on heroine use to three times a day instead of four. As an unnamed White House official noted, “It’s flat. It’s a difference of about $1 billion. In a divided government, we’re not going to get the kinds of [nondefense discretionary] increases that we would hope to get.”
  • Expand Work Requirements for Food Stamps: Of all the various aspects of Kabuki Theater the Uniparty Swamp engaged in, this is the most ridiculous. It drew plenty of headlines as corporate media and Democrats bemoaned this “attack” on the needy. But both they and the Republicans who generally ignored it hoped Americans would hear the words “expanded work requirements” and form an opinion without knowing the details. Those details: Raising the age of “able-bodied adults” who need to work in order to get food stamps from 49-years-old to 55-years-old. Yes, all the drama was over a six year bump.
  • Rescind Leftover Covid-19 Funds: $28 billion will be rescinded. That’s good. But it’s a drop in the $4 trillion bucket, and it shouldn’t have needed to be part of the debt ceiling negotiations. In fact, why was this not covered already? Did McCarthy save it as a “card” to play for theater? Yep.
  • 2% Cut to IRS Spending: Don’t get me started. This is a joke. We should have cut IRS spending down to 2%, not by 2%. In fact, we should have abolished the “service” altogether.

There’s more to it, but those are the highlights. Meanwhile, the Uniparty Swamp had fun on Wednesday pretending to fight each other.

And by “pretending” to fight, let’s briefly mention what everyone should already know. The votes were already set before floor debate. Nobody changed their mind today. Again, this is all part of theater, in case you’re one of the people watching the show.

McCarthy Caved and Forced RINOs to Cave With Him

The saddest part about all this is that McCarthy had the leverage to make real changes in Washington DC. There is no scenario in which corporate media and their puppet masters in the Democrat Party could have spun a default as completely McCarthy’s fault if no debt deal was done.

The economy would have seen major challenges, perhaps even massive ones. It likely would have hit the stock market hard and sent us into a deeper recession. This is why McCarthy could have pressed for far more than he got. The people generally blame the party in the White House when hard times come and the Biden-Harris regime knows this.

McCarthy had the leverage. He gave away the farm. He could have forced meaningful cuts.

Instead of going to the right, McCarthy decided to head to the murky middle knowing he would upset fiscal conservatives and much of the GOP base. He knew America First Republicans wouldn’t vote for it, so he went far closer to the center than he needed to so he could get Democrats to vote for it.

As Senator Mike Lee noted:

House Republicans concerned about the Biden-McCarthy deal had the votes to kill it—until 52 House Democrats rushed to the bill’s rescue and saved it. How exactly is this a Republican bill?

The only thing “Republican” about this bill is that it demonstrates the GOP is officially the RINO wing of the Uniparty Swamp. Those conservatives in the minority are essentially powerless.

This is a horrible deal for Americans. Unfortunately, we’ve grown accustomed to constant disappointment from Capitol Hill regardless of who is allegedly in control.

More Democrats voted in favor of the Fiscal Irresponsibility Act than Republicans. That should tell you all you need to know about Kevin McCarthy.

Who Won the Debt Ceiling Battle? https://americanconservativemovement.com/who-won-the-debt-ceiling-battle/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/who-won-the-debt-ceiling-battle/#respond Sun, 28 May 2023 17:05:20 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=193050 The debt ceiling battle may be over. We’ll know for sure Wednesday when the vote is scheduled, but it seems Joe Biden and Kevin McCarthy may have come together. Considering the most basic and obvious elimination of fruitless spending — 87,000 IRS agents — was NOT addressed, this seems like a huge loss for patriots.

McCarthy will herald spending cuts, but they won’t be in the same ballpark as the absolute overhaul that is necessary to give this nation any hope for the future. Instead, we will continue down our path to unavoidable Modern Monetary Theory crushing the country into oblivion.

But that won’t be the narrative spun by corporate media, the White House, supporters of Speaker McCarthy, or GOP Establishment’s controlled opposition in “conservative” media. They’ll pop champaign bottles open and question anyone who doesn’t join in their revelry.

As I noted on Twitter:

Kevin McCarthy and Joe Biden will pretend to battle in public about who got the better of who in the debt ceiling battle. The reality is they both won in their unified assault on the American people.

With the Uniparty Swamp, the only thing certain is that when they’re happy with their actions and results, we should be very worried. The American people invariably get screwed over by government’s successes.

They Fear You https://americanconservativemovement.com/they-fear-you/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/they-fear-you/#respond Mon, 17 Apr 2023 11:02:06 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=191854 Long before the Department of Homeland Security attempted to justify the formal recognition of a “Disinformation Czar” to monitor Americans’ speech or news broke that the State Department had been using a foreign organization called the Global Disinformation Index to censor conservative voices here at home, it was clear that the war for free speech had begun.  For years, conservative websites struggled to survive financially as shadowbans and stealth blacklisting eliminated advertising revenues and throttled user engagement.  Online trolls infiltrated comment sections posting inflammatory content that could be used as false flag justifications to legally threaten or otherwise punish conservative forums.  Conservative content creators and their readers strenuously objected to the organized censorship war being waged against them, but few politicians, reporters, or pundits cared.

Now the cat is out of the bag, and neither government agencies nor their corporate co-conspirators are hiding their embrace of viewpoint discrimination.  The FBI continues to flag more language — including words as innocuous as “red pill,” “based,” and “Chad” — as extremist rhetoric.  Google blocked Right Side Broadcasting Network from covering President Trump’s Democrat-engineered Manhattan arraignment on YouTube, claiming that the censorship was necessary to combat “elections misinformation.”  A revolving door now exists to fill social media companies with employees from the ranks of the FBI, CIA, and Homeland Security.  Meanwhile, Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum has announced the hiring of millions of “information warriors” tasked with the mission to “seize control of the Internet” and serve as “digital first-responders” combating “misinformation.”  Already in France, one woman faces a $13,000 fine for calling King Macron “filth” on Facebook.

As the American Uniparty’s collaboration with Schwab’s Marxist globalists continues to grow, expect these serious violations of the First Amendment’s protections for free speech to proliferate.  After all, in a remarkable display of political and bureaucratic goose-stepping, the District of Corruption’s occupying workforce has been nearly unanimous in its enthusiastic support for and adoration of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky and his “new Western democracy.”  No matter how many jackboots Zelensky sends to shut down churches, crush opposing political parties, or silence dissenting citizens, the bombastic Washington despots who endlessly chirp about “Western virtues” are the same ones proclaiming their full-throated support for the worst kinds of tyranny.  Welcome to the “new America,” where ruling-class contempt for freedom is no longer disguised.

Right now State-aligned corporate news firms are breathlessly reporting about Pentagon leaks that might have come from a twenty-one-year-old Massachusetts Air National Guardsman.  While the revelations contained in those documents demonstrate that the Department of Defense has perpetuated outright lies regarding Ukraine’s likelihood of success against Russia, State-aligned propagandists posing as journalists have used the leaks not to hold government actors accountable, but rather to justify the expansion of government powers.  Almost gleefully supporting the Uniparty’s calls for the urgent passage of The Restrict Act — legislation ostensibly drafted to combat China’s TikTok but in actuality a statutory vehicle designed to provide the federal government with broad authority to confront internet “danger” — the American press play along while the Legislative and Executive Branches use this present “crisis” as an excuse to swing the sledgehammer down on Americans’ free speech.  As those with eyes to see and sufficient backbone to speak uncomfortable truths have noted, The Restrict Act is an “online PATRIOT Act” meant not to protect, but rather to silence Americans.

Make no bones about it: the federal government’s number-one worry is you.

As part of my routine when conducting research and taking notes, I pay attention not only to what kinds of information appear online, but also what kinds of information get quickly covered up.  You can learn a great deal about what matters most to “the powers that be” by regularly returning to sources, chat forums, and search results and scrutinizing how information has been marginalized or deleted.  The steady encroachment of outright censorship has turned into a “tell” for discerning what facts or opinions government-aligned agents seek to hide.

This distasteful “scrubbing” operation has been an unfortunate reality for many years, but it became obvious to a lot more people during the Orwellian overreach of COVID-1984.  By now, people are generally aware that government-aligned tech companies censored accurate information regarding the virus’s origins, its relative lethality, and available over-the-counter treatments.  The government labeled as harmful “disinformation” accurate reports concerning everything from the efficacy of masks, social distancing, and mRNA “vaccines” to the harmful side-effects and deaths those experimental “vaccines” caused.  Going from COVID to the 2020 presidential election, those same censors scrubbed allegations of election fraud as “misinformation,” and after January 6, such views were scrutinized as “extremist” examples of potential “domestic terrorism.”  This trend has not stopped, and more varied subject matters have turned into targets for censorship in the government’s ever-growing yet amorphous efforts to “protect” Americans from “threats of harm.”  It’s all atrocious.

Particularly revealing of the government’s insidious determination to protect its absolute power over what may be considered true by controlling what speech Americans may see and hear is the regular disappearance of political memes and other humorous content from chat rooms and search results.  In one example that I have kept an eye on, the following anonymous message never lasts long:

They fear you.
They fear you being Awake.
They fear you Waking Up Others.
They fear you being Armed.
They fear you Speaking Up.
They fear you Speaking Out.
They fear you Standing Up.
They fear you Resisting.
They fear you Rebelling.
They fear you Revolting.
They fear you Not Complying.
They fear you Banding Together.
They fear you Standing Together.
They fear you Coordinating.
They fear you learning YOU are the Majority.
They fear you realizing your Power.
They fear you using your Power.
They fear YOU.

This message shows up in online communities written in a way reminiscent of Red Dawn‘s teenage insurgents scrawling “Wolverines!” on graffitied walls in “occupied America.”  Invariably, it quickly disappears.  If the government and its Big Tech co-conspirators are responsible for the censorship, then their actions prove the truth of the message.  They fear you so much that they are afraid for you to read that they do.

Think about that fact.  It puts things in glaring perspective, does it not?  Joe Biden likes to threaten nuclear strikes on Americans who accurately understand the Second Amendment as a bulwark against government tyranny.  The political Uniparty and permanent Deep State are obsessed with labeling political dissent as “disinformation” and punishing Americans for their beliefs.  At the end of the day, though, all of their huffing and puffing reveals one unassailable truth: they fear you.

The truth contained in this disappearing internet meme echoes something mathematician and philosopher Bertrand Russell wrote in a book, entitled Why Men Fight, after the devastation of WWI:

Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth — more than ruin, more even than death.  Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible; thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habits; thought is anarchic and lawless, indifferent to authority, careless of the well-tried wisdom of the ages.  Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid…Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man.

Why has the American government gone down this un-American path of censorship and political persecution?  Because men fear thought.  Because thought is revolutionary.  Because thought is unafraid.  Because thought is great and free.

Your capacity to think and speak freely gives you more power than any government.  So use that power.  Have no fear.  They may threaten and harass and legalize their abuse, but enemies of free speech make clear that they are the ones afraid.

For Democrats, ‘MAGA Republican’ Label Is Designed to Paralyze Opposition https://americanconservativemovement.com/for-democrats-maga-republican-label-is-designed-to-paralyze-opposition/ https://americanconservativemovement.com/for-democrats-maga-republican-label-is-designed-to-paralyze-opposition/#comments Wed, 05 Apr 2023 00:06:38 +0000 https://americanconservativemovement.com/?p=191487 These days, it seems like every top Democrat has to work the term “MAGA Republican” into their messages. It’s no coincidence.

Their party first deployed the term in mid-2022 as part of a midterm strategy that aimed to activate voters outraged about the Supreme Court’s abortion decision, among other issues.

“The terms ‘MAGA Republicans’ and ‘Extreme MAGA Republicans’ were created by the Democrats along with some never Trump Republicans in an attempt to isolate Trump supporters as being outside the mainstream of the American political process,” said Richard Manning, president of the Republican-aligned Americans for Limited Government, in an April 3 email to The Epoch Times.

Others argue that the talk of “MAGA Republicans” is, in actuality, unifying and necessary.

“The term ‘MAGA Republicans’—as used by President [Joe] Biden, Chuck Schumer, and other prominent politicians—does not aim to divide the country as many critics claim,” said David Carlucci, a Democratic strategist, in an April 4 email to The Epoch Times.

“Instead, it is meant to rally all Americans regardless of party affiliation against an ideology that has sought to dismantle our democratic institutions.”

Biden Leads and Some Republicans Follow

Biden helped to normalize, and step up, rhetoric aimed at “MAGA Republicans.”

As early as August 2022, the commander-in-chief took aim at Trump loyalists in the GOP using the memorable “MAGA Republicans” branding.

He didn’t stop there. He claimed that the “philosophy” behind support for former President Donald Trump amounted to a kind of “semi-fascism.”

That language met with plaudits from Never Trumper Bill Kristol. Kristol, an influential early advocate of the Iraq War, is the son of the late “godfather of neoconservatism,” the ex-Marxist Irving Kristol.

“You know what you call a movement that’s semi-OK with violence against its opponents? Semi-fascist,” Kristol wrote on Twitter in late October 2022, just before the midterm election.

In the judgment of one anonymous GOP strategist who spoke with The Epoch Times, that sort of labeling “adds fuel to the fire of partisan divisions in this country.”

Yet Democrats’ relatively strong performance last November may have convinced them the approach worked.

“If you want to see the effectiveness of ‘MAGA Republican’ rhetoric, look no further than the 2022 midterms where several ultra-vocal MAGA Republicans like Kari Lake, Dr. Oz, and Herschel Walker lost their elections,” said Carlucci, the Democratic strategist.

Carlucci cited December 2022 polling from Vanderbilt University showing that only 34 percent of Republicans “say they are ‘more of a supporter of the Make America Great Again, or MAGA, movement’ than they are a ‘supporter of the Republican Party.’”

The anonymous GOP strategist acknowledged that some of that language seeks to link a range of Republicans to “the most unpopular figures on the right.”

Andrew Cuff, communications director at the political agency Knight Takes Rook, thinks Democrats’ “MAGA Republicans” tactic succeeded thanks in part to the leadership of some top Republicans.

“Tiny minorities of establishment Republican leaders approved and encouraged these attacks, lending credence to the notion that feckless Republicans who have given up fighting are more ‘sane’ and ‘civil’ than the ‘extreme’ majority of their party.

“It’s abundantly clear that the GOP establishment prefers the role of controlled opposition under Democrat rule than to be dislodged from power in their own party,” he told The Epoch Times in an April 3 interview.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) in February accused “MAGA Republicans” of contributing to a lack of GOP unity—an expression of concern that is difficult to take at face value, but one wholly in keeping with a wedge strategy.

For now, backing for Trump among Republicans seems to be on the rise, if recent polls on the upcoming 2024 contest are to be believed.

The upshot: Biden’s speeches still target “MAGA Republicans.” In one March 15 speech, he opined that “MAGA Republicans” are “different.”

“This is not your father’s Republican Party,” Biden added.

MAGA and ‘Extremism’

Talk of MAGA Republicans’ “extremism” has also escalated.

The White House’s March 27 response to Republicans’ recent budget proposal asserts it is the product not merely of “MAGA Republicans” but of “extreme MAGA Congressional Republicans.”

In a March 24 press release, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) referenced “Extreme MAGA Republicans” no fewer than 13 times.

“Extreme MAGA Republicans want to ban books on the Holocaust. Ban books on the Holocaust. Extreme MAGA Republicans want to ban books on Martin Luther King Jr. Extreme MAGA Republicans want to ban books on the LGBTQ journey in the United States of America,” Jeffries said.

“Most folks don’t view all these Republicans as extremist,” the anonymous GOP strategist told The Epoch Times.

“This ideology should not speak for the entire party, but with all the noise caused by figures like Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and of course former President Trump, it is particularly concerning that MAGA extremism will become the overwhelming voice of the Republican Party,” said Democratic strategist Carlucci.

“The use of the word “extreme” continues to serve as an effective slur against Republican candidates,” said Cuff.

“Extremism,” he said, is a “national security trigger word.”

Cuff tied that rhetoric to Biden’s Sept. 1, 2022, “Dark Brandon” speech, which saw him deliver remarks against a blood-red backdrop while flanked by U.S. Marines.

“Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” Biden said in his remarks that day.

“He tied it [extremism] with the MAGA label in order to connect it with President Trump and his MAGA movement,” Cuff said.

He noted that it followed the administration’s actions on parent protesters at school boards and an FBI memo targeting “radical-traditionalist Catholic ideology.”

“The words are chosen very carefully,” Cuff said.

The neocon ex-Republican Kristol was, if anything, ahead of the curve when it came to alleged “extremism” among his opponents.

“If the term ‘MAGA Republicans’ works, fine. But wouldn’t it be easier just to call them extremists? Why the ‘MAGA’ complication?” he asked in a July 1, 2022 Tweet, responding to a Politico story on Democrats’ use of the “MAGA Republicans” label in their midterm messaging.

MAGA-Baiting Across Ticket

MAGA-baiting has takers at lower echelons of the Democratic Party too.

During her unsuccessful campaign for reelection as Chicago’s mayor, Lori Lightfoot accused opponent Paul Vallas of having “MAGA Republican ways.”

Even closer to the ground, members of the Chicago City Council’s Progressive Reform Caucus, which includes numerous open socialists, referred in scathing terms to Vallas’ backing from what they called “MAGA Republicans.”

Legacy media outlets—even those outside the United States—are also echoing the “extreme MAGA Republican” rhetoric that has been issued by leading Democrats.

A March 4 U.S. politics article in the Guardian, a UK paper, claimed that one of Trump’s speeches at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) was aimed at “MAGA Republicans.”

A November 2022 analysis in the Washington Post asked, “Can MAGA Republicans learn to love democracy again?”

In January of this year, Jennifer Rubin—like Kristol, a Bush II-era neoconservatism who distanced herself from the right after Trump’s election—opined in the Washington Post that Republicans have embraced the ways of “extreme MAGA Republicans” in the months since their mediocre midterm performance.

Pushback Begins

House Republicans targeted by the language of “extremism,” “semi-fascism,” and more have pushed back.

“We are addressed as MAGA extremists, extreme MAGA Republicans, and I would like to make just a clarification point—it’s Ultra MAGA. That’s what we prefer,” Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) said in Congress several weeks ago.

Just days ago, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) accused Biden of having “functionally gaslit” Trump’s indictment by “saying Extreme MAGA Republicans were dangerous.”

“It’s Biden’s government that we are currently investigating for super-charging the notion of domestic violent extremism,” he said in an interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox News.

SpaceX founder and Twitter CEO Elon Musk has also questioned Biden’s rhetoric. In a March 27 Tweet, the president attributed opposition to one policy he supports to “extreme MAGA House Republicans.”

“Is it accurate to refer to those making the proposal as ‘extreme MAGA,’” Musk wrote in response.

He tagged the site’s “Community Notes” account, which often corrects and adds context to Twitter posts.

Carlucci thinks the apparent resonance of Democrats’ “extreme MAGA Republicans” rhetoric should serve as a wake-up call for Republicans.

“The midterms tell us that independent voters are fed up with MAGA ideology and that the Republican Party should reclaim its narrative from its extreme side,” said Carlucci.

Cuff believes the language hints at a broader campaign of repression from the Left.

“Ultimately, the goal is to treat the entire Republican base as domestic extremists, extralegally surveil and censor them, and instill the mass fear of arrest and repression [to which many prominent Republicans, including former President Trump, have already been subjected],” Cuff said.

One thing seems clear: extreme rhetoric, including accusations of extremism, triggers a reaction.
