D.C. Councilwoman Christina Henderson introduced the bill, which would exempt Class C and D alcohol license holders from having to accept cash at their stores in a bid to reduce robberies. Property crime has exploded in D.C. in recent years, with robberies up 67% from 2022 to 2023, burglaries up 4% and other thefts up 23% over the same time frame, according to city data.
“Many businesses, particularly those that sell alcohol, are concerned for their employees’ safety and have shared multiple stories about successful and attempted robberies and burglaries,” Henderson said in a statement announcing the legislation. “Businesses that are cashless are not at risk of robbery in the same way as businesses with cash on hand.”
Class C licenses are held by “restaurants, hotels, taverns, nightclubs, and other entertainment venues” and class D licenses cover the same venues but restrict the sale of liquor, according to the bill. In 2020, D.C. passed a law that went into effect in 2023 prohibiting businesses from not accepting cash, with D.C. City Council Chairman Phil Mendelson saying the bill was about “equity” according to the Washingtonian.
Arrests in D.C. have plummeted, with robbery arrests down 40% from 2019 to 2023 and theft arrests down 49%, according to a Manhattan Institute study in August. Meanwhile, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is struggling to maintain its manpower, with the number of sworn officers declining to a half-century low, according to the study.
In March, D.C. passed a crime bill that increased penalties for theft, expanded pretrial detention for violent offenders and established “drug-free zones” across the city, according to Axios. However, D.C. has a history of passing anti-police legislation, including a 2022 bill blocked by the U.S. senate that would have placed more restrictions on MPD officers’ detainment protocols in the wake of the death of George Floyd.
The city has seen a 15% decrease in property crime generally so far in 2024, according to city data. Robbery is also trending downward so far in the year as well as violent crime.
Henderson’s office did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
Analysts say the case serves as a warning to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its agents hiding within the U.S. government.
In its indictment, the Department of Justice (DOJ), says Sun violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) and is charged with 10 counts, including visa fraud, money laundering, and accepting benefits to engage in activities that benefit China and the CCP. Her businessman husband, Christopher Hu, 40, was also charged with multiple crimes, including money laundering.
Sun acted at the request of CCP officials and “engaged in numerous political activities in the interests of the PRC and the CCP, including blocking representatives of the Taiwanese government from having access to high-level New York State officers,” the DOJ said in a press release.
The charges against Sun also include “changing high-level New York State officers’ messaging regarding issues of importance to the PRC and the CCP; obtaining official New York State proclamations for PRC government representatives without proper authorization,” and “arranging meetings for visiting delegations from the PRC government with New York State government officials” among others.
The DOJ said Sun received “substantial economic and other benefits” from the CCP for these activities. PRC is the acronym for China’s official name: the People’s Republic of China.
Sun, 41, also known as Wen Sun, is a naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in Nanjing, China, and moved to the United States with her parents at the age of 5.
She worked in the New York state government for about 15 years. In 2009, Sun served as chief of staff to New York State Assembly representative Grace Meng, a Democrat, who is currently a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2012, Sun joined the New York state government of Gov. Andrew Cuomo and later served as deputy chief of staff to Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul, now the governor.
Wang Juntao, chairman of the National Committee of the China Democratic Party, said the case is especially important to people like himself—overseas Chinese activists who publicly protest against the CCP’s tyranny—because “those in the U.S. government who speak for and act on behalf of the CCP are the ones who should be the main focus of U.S. law enforcement’s crackdown.”
Wang said that the United States started the crackdown on CCP agents in the United States through FARA under former President Donald Trump, and then, “President Biden systematized it, since then the Western world has formed a unified containment of the CCP’s overseas spying operations.”
U.S.-based current affairs commentator Tang Jingyuan told The Epoch Times that Sun’s case is somewhat special because, in the past, most of the CCP spies arrested by the FBI were overseas Chinese community leaders or those posing as democracy activists.
“They were mainly engaged in transnational repression or collecting intelligence on Chinese dissidents in the United States, mostly in the field of human rights,” he said.
Sun’s case is different, Tang said, “mainly because she holds a high position in the U.S. government system, which affects many policies in New York State and even involves U.S. diplomatic relations.”
Tony Hu, a former U.S. Department of Defense official, told The Epoch Times that any U.S. civil servant must understand that, whether in the federal, state, or local government, “as long as you are a civil servant, you cannot use the convenience of your job to help foreign government. This will definitely be punished by U.S. law.”
Hu emphasized that civil servants “are supposed to help their country, state, and city—not foreign countries.”
U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said at a press conference on Sept. 4 that New York Chinese consul general Huang Ping left his post, but “was not expelled.”
“Our understanding is that the consul general reached the end of a regular scheduled rotation in August,” Miller said.
Huang had served as the consul general in New York since November 2018. According to the CCP’s “Regulations on the Tenure, Seniority and Vacations of Permanent Personnel in Embassies and Consulates Abroad,” the general term of a consul general is three years, so Huang’s term should end in November this year.
Taiwanese retired Maj. Gen. Yu Tsung-chi, an adviser to the Formosa Republican Association, said the United States chose to accept the expiration of Huang’s term instead of demanding expulsion “to avoid enraging China to take the same expulsion measures to retaliate.”
“Then it would become a mutual revenge between democratic and totalitarian countries, which will blur the focus of the case. Therefore, the United States obviously wants to downplay such a serious intelligence infiltration incident in a low-key manner,” Yu told The Epoch Times.
Wang said that the CCP has deployed secret agents all over the United States.
Wang said that based on his knowledge and his connections in the CCP’s top political and military circles, for the CCP’s overseas agents “the Chinese consulate’s role is less significant [in the CCP’s espionage activities], and Beijing is directly controlling the overseas agents through the United Front Work Department from behind the scenes. Therefore, despite that the FBI has put a lot of effort, sometimes it is difficult to find evidence.”
The United Front Work Department is the Chinese regime’s spy and propaganda agency that also controls the regime’s transnational repression campaigns against overseas dissidents.
“The center of the CCP’s spy network is in Beijing. They mostly have exclusive contacts and will not let others know. The Chinese consulate itself also knows that they are actually under [the U.S. government’s] surveillance,” Wang said.
“The Chinese consulate also does deals with some American entrepreneurs, but the Chinese consulate is too conspicuous. The consulate will attend some activities of overseas Chinese groups, but they are not the ones who make the real arrangements.”
A CCP overseas agent who defected and fled to Australia, said that he directly took orders from the CCP’s secret police in Beijing.

]]>Judge Lloyd U. Nolan, Jr, from Washington DC just released a young adult accused of firing over two dozen rounds into a vehicle on a busy street. According to Nolan, Amonte Moody does not pose a public threat.
Video shows that Moody is the last person you want on the streets of DC or any other street of America. But Judge Nolan, who has been openly “woke” and involved with a Soros “justice” organization, thinks otherwise.
We have to understand something very clearly. It’s not that Nolan is stupid. It’s not that he’s just super-forgiving and willing to give Moody the benefit of the doubt. These Soros puppets WANT more violence. They WANT fewer repercussions for violent criminals. They WANT the streets to be even less safe than they already are.
In the chaos their ideology can rise. Through turmoil they can convince people they need government to protect them without realizing it’s the government from which they need protection.
To those who think the Soros influence over our justice system is relegated to District Attorneys, here's something to chew on.
Judge Lloyd U. Nolan, Jr, from Washington DC just released a young adult accused of firing over two dozen rounds into a vehicle on a busy street.…
— JD Rucker (@JDRucker) May 12, 2024
Pray for America. Here is the story generated from corporate media reports…
A Washington, D.C., judge named Lloyd U. Nolan, Jr., who serves as a magistrate judge on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, has come under scrutiny for releasing on bail an 18-year-old named Amonte Moody. Moody is accused of firing over two dozen rounds at a car full of people along a busy street. Nolan’s decision to release Moody on house arrest has sparked controversy, with prosecutors requesting an emergency hearing to potentially reverse the decision.
Nolan’s online presence reveals a history of progressive activism, including a post in which he boasts about being “woke,” a post supporting Black Lives Matter, and a post indicating he donated to a fundraiser supporting a professor with ties to George Soros’ Open Society Foundation. This professor, Jonathan Rapping, founded an organization called Gideon’s Promise, which focuses on training and supporting public defenders in the Southeastern United States.
Conservatives have criticized Nolan’s decision, citing concerns about the influence of political and social beliefs on judicial decisions. They argue that the release was inappropriate given the nature of the alleged crime and the evidence against Moody. Prosecutors argued that Moody’s release is a sign of a larger issue with the criminal justice system, which they believe has been influenced by progressive activism and the financial support of individuals like George Soros.
Despite the charges against Moody, which include endangerment with a firearm, possession of a weapon, and assault, Nolan concluded that Moody was not a threat to the community. Moody was released on house arrest with a GPS monitor on May 3.
Prosecutors argued that the release was inappropriate given the nature of the alleged crime and the evidence against Moody. They cited video evidence and witness statements as proof of Moody’s guilt. However, a spokesperson for the D.C. court system defended Nolan’s decision, stating that all defendants have a presumption of innocence and that the judge had considered Moody’s lack of prior encounters with law enforcement, as well as the educational support and family and community resources available to him.
In light of Nolan’s controversial decision, conservatives argue for a more balanced approach to criminal justice that prioritizes public safety and the rights of victims, while still ensuring a fair trial for the accused.
]]>Ms. Haley won the district primary in D.C., taking 62.8 percent of the vote to Trump’s 33.3 percent, giving her 19 delegates from her win. She is also now the first woman to win a Republican presidential primary in U.S. history.
In a statement to The Epoch Times, Trump campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Ms. Haley’s victory only strengthens the object of the former president’s campaign to “drain the swamp and put America first.”
“While Nikki has been soundly rejected throughout the rest of America, she was just crowned Queen of the Swamp by the lobbyists and D.C. insiders that want to protect the failed status quo,” Ms. Leavitt said.
“The swamp has claimed their queen. President Trump will fight for every American who is being let down by these very DC insiders and devastated by Joe Biden’s failures,” she added.
The Epoch Times has contacted Nikki Haley’s press office for comment.
Earlier, her campaign spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cubas said in a statement, “It’s not surprising that Republicans closest to Washington dysfunction are rejecting Donald Trump and all his chaos.”
The District of Columbia has a record of voting “deep blue,” with a high number of voters who lean toward Democrat candidates. Around 92 percent of people who voted in the district during the 2020 election cast a ballot for current President Joe Biden.
At this stage of the race, only former President Donald Trump and Ms. Haley remain as GOP candidates after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy dropped out in acknowledgement of the clear voter support for President Trump.
After her recent win, Ms. Haley now has 43 delegates, but former president Trump is still ahead with 244 delegates. At least 1,215 delegates are required to clinch the party nomination for president and run against whoever takes out the Democratic Party nomination.
Haley Committed to Super Tuesday
Ms. Haley’s win in Washington came only one day after President Trump took all three Republican caucuses in Michigan, Missouri, and Idaho. On Super Tuesday, 15 states will hold primaries simultaneously, which is expected to decide the lead GOP candidate. Around a third of all the delegates are up for grabs—more than on any other day during the election cycle.
At the moment, Ms. Haley has said she will remain in the presidential race until at least the conclusion of those contests. It’s still unclear if she will support President Trump if her own presidential bid is unsuccessful. Recently, she cast doubt on the pledge she made to the Republican National Committee (RNC) to support the eventual Republican candidate as decided by the voters.
According to Ms. Haley, she hasn’t thought about whether she will endorse the GOP presidential candidate yet because she is still in the race and can’t allow any thoughts about losing into her mind.
She also made it clear her campaign won’t shift strategies and run as a third-party “No Labels” candidate, and insisted she’s not “anti-Trump” but looking for votes from Republicans who want an alternative to the former president.
]]>The reason why we see key votes go a certain way time after time is because most members of Congress have been compromised in one way or another. If members of Congress that have been compromised get out of line, their dirty little secrets will be publicly exposed.
During a recent interview with Benny Johnson, U.S. Representative Tim Burchett explained how this works…
Well, let’s be honest in powerful people in this country, they write the big checks and they you know, they’re the ones out on the tarmac when the president comes and visits and whichever party they’re in, they always either out on the tarmac or in the private room. They’re the ones that write the big checks. They don’t care who’s in. They hate this country. They hate what we’re about. But they love their portfolios and they love their money more than they do anything else.
And they protect it and they protect the people that that do that. And by doing so, you know, the old honey pot — the Russians do that — and I’m sure members of Congress have been caught up. Why in the world would good conservatives vote for crazy stuff like what we’ve been seeing out of Congress? Here’s how it works. You’re visiting, you’re out of the country or out of town or you’re in a motel or at a bar in DC and, whatever you’re into – women, men, whatever — comes up and they’re very attractive and they’re laughing at your jokes. And you’re buying them a drink. Next thing you know, you’re in the motel room with them naked.
This stuff really happens.
I have been told some pretty wild stories that I can’t reveal here.
When a seat in Congress opens up, the elite will make sure that big money is poured into the campaign of someone that they feel that they can compromise or that they have already compromised.
And when a key vote is getting ready to occur, those that have been compromised will often be reminded to vote the way that the elite want them to vote. Here is more from Representative Burchett…
And next thing you know, you know you’re about to make a key vote. And what happens? Some well-dressed person comes out and whispers in your ear, “Hey, man, there’s tapes out on you.” Or, “Were you in a motel room or whatever with whoever?” And then you’re like, “Oh,” and [they] said, “you really ought not be voting for this thing.”
You know? And what do they do? It’s human nature. And, you know, no man or no woman actually is an island. And they know what to get at. You know, if it’s women, drugs, booze, it’ll find you. And they say, and in most elected offices, and that’s what people of power and influence do. And it’s just, you know, I’ve been in this game my whole life. I spent 16 years in the state legislature in Tennessee and eight years as county mayor. And now I’m in my fifth year Congress. But it’s just — the stakes are higher. But the game is still the same.
Do you remember when Madison Cawthorn started talking about stuff like this?
Within days, his dirty little secrets started being publicly revealed and now he is out of Congress.
If I was Tim Burchett, I wouldn’t expect to last too much longer in Washington D.C. either.
In the old days, most members of Congress were into members of the opposite sex, but now many of them are into members of the same sex. This is one of the reasons why so many of them have good looking gay staffers.
In this sort of an environment, literally anything goes, and we got quite a reminder of this fact earlier this month…
Several high-profile hearings have taken place in the Senate hearing room where an alleged congressional staffer reportedly filmed a sex tape.
The U.S. Capitol Police told Fox News they were aware of an amateur pornographic video published by the Daily Caller on Friday, which shows someone identified as a congressional staffer, engaging in sex with another man in Hart Senate Office Building room 216.
The Daily Caller report states the video was leaked after being “shared in a private group for gay men in politics.”
Now it is being reported that there is a “second set” of Capitol sex videos involving other men. In this second case, the sexual activity took place “inside a House office building”…
One thing that is clear, however: There is, in fact, a second set of Capitol sex videos, which circulated on Snapchat last year. They featured in the Snapchat story of a user going by “Adam J” with the handle “Anjackson2019,” according to the recordings viewed by Semafor, which were provided by a source.
One of the videos, watched by Semafor, featured a man masturbating inside a House office building, which was identifiable by standard Capitol House furniture and carpeting. The desk at which the videographer performed also held a branded congressional mouse pad. A screenshot of a second video obtained by Semafor shows two men engaged in a sex act in an office setting. The participants’ faces are not visible in any of the material viewed by Semafor.
This is our country now.
Many high ranking military officers have been compromised too. In fact, a military contractor that was involved in “organizing and filming orgies involving senior U.S. Navy admirals” is now being sent back to the United States from Venezuela…
As part of a prisoner exchange in which Joe Biden granted clemency to a prominent moneyman for President Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela released 10 detained Americans as well as the man at the center of historic Navy bribery scandal: Fat Leonard, a military contractor known for organizing and filming orgies involving senior U.S. Navy admirals, is on his way back to San Diego to face sentencing for corruption over a year after he fled to Venezuela. It’s one of the U.S.’s worst ever national security breaches.
What would the founders of this country think if they could see us today?

]]>The city is on pace to record the highest number of murders since George W. Bush’s first term, and carjackings are skyrocketing. It’s the soft-on-crime policies promulgated by the District of Columbia government that’s responsible for this crime wave, and everyone knows it.
What can be done to restore law and order?
A comparison of crime in the District of Columbia in 2023 versus crime in D.C. just a year earlier is instructive. In 2022, there were 182 homicides; as of Nov. 15, 2023, there were 243 homicides, representing a 34% increase.
In 2022, there were 1,839 robberies; so far in 2023 there have been 3,075, a 67% increase.
In 2022, there were 3,109 motor vehicle thefts, compared to 6,142 in 2023, a 98% increase. And while there were 485 carjackings in all of 2022, as of October 3, 2023, there were already 753 carjackings, a 55% increase.
Statistics can be dry. Sometimes stories can convey the truth with more impact.
Late one evening just a few days ago, a federal agent fired at three people seen breaking into a car parked outside a home in Georgetown, one of the more expensive neighborhoods in the nation’s capital. Federal agents don’t regularly fire their weapons to prevent crimes like auto theft – in fact, Department of Homeland Security guidelines prevent agents from firing warning shots or shooting at a moving vehicle in an attempt to stop someone fleeing the scene of a crime, even when the automobile in question is owned by the federal government, as this one was. (In fact, in this case, the vehicle was part of the Secret Service protective detail assigned to guard President Biden’s granddaughter, Naomi Biden.)
An unoccupied vehicle outside the president’s granddaughter’s home isn’t the only vehicle attached to a prominent Democrat politician to be the object of a crime in the nation’s capital, though. Last month, Texas Democrat Congressman Henry Cuellar was carjacked outside his apartment building in Washington’s Navy Yard neighborhood, an upscale residential area revitalized by the construction of Nationals Park, ballfield of the city’s MLB franchise. (Cuellar was unharmed, and his car was found a day later a few miles away.)
Ideas have consequences; so do actions, even if it sometimes takes time for the effects to become evident. In this case, the District of Columbia Council took actions that sent clear signals about crime, and the consequences have become evident.
First, in the summer of 2020, in the wake of the George Floyd demonstrations, the council voted to defund the police by cutting the police budget. Last year, the council enacted the Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Act, which heightened scrutiny on police officers and made it easier to fire them – an anti-police law so bad that majorities in both houses of Congress tried to overturn it.
Then, in November of 2022, the council voted to “modernize” the city’s Criminal Code. That “modernization” (read: “softening”) eliminated virtually all of the code’s mandatory minimum sentencing requirements for violent crimes, even as it drastically reduced maximum penalties available to the courts.
Moreover, the revisions established the right to a jury trial for most misdemeanor offenses, which would have overloaded an already crowded court system and reduced the resources devoted to prosecuting the more serious felony cases.
Even D.C.’s exceedingly progressive mayor, Muriel Bowser, was aghast. She vetoed the bill, but the council overrode her veto.
Not surprisingly, with an underfunded, handcuffed police force and the softening of the penalties attached to serious crimes, crime spiked. See statistics above.
Enter the U.S. Congress, which resides in the nation’s capital and has a stake in the matter – in fact, Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution grants Congress the power “to exercise exclusive legislation in all cases whatsoever” over the capital city. Despite the fact that Democrats control the Senate, and might have been expected to run political cover for the all-Democrat D.C. city government, both houses of Congress passed legislation overturning the criminal code revisions promulgated by the D.C. Council – and on March 20, 2023, President Joe Biden signed that overturning into law.
But the crime rate still soared. Apparently, criminals believe the mood in D.C. is still “soft on crime,” despite what the president and the Congress did to reverse the softening of the city’s criminal penalties.
So now the Congress is considering an even tougher action – three Republican Congressmen have introduced H.R. 5195, the Seat of Government Act. The new bill would repeal the 1973 D.C. Home Rule Act, which created the District’s current government, and would, thereby, return full control of city government functions to the Congress.
With a Democrat in the White House and a Senate controlled by Democrats, it’s hard to see how that bill could successfully run the traps and become law.
Of course, that’s what the soft-on-crime crowd at D.C. City Hall probably thought about that bill the president signed back in March, too.

]]>You cannot make this stuff up, and she meant what she said when she exclaimed, “When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population, more of our children can breathe clean air.”
Let’s take a close, critical consideration of what the second-in-command of the USA is saying here. What can she possibly mean by government methods of operation to greatly reduce the number of living humans in America, so much so, that the air we breathe here on earth is cleaner. Plus, remember, she was specific about saying “more of our children,” not all of them. Does she mean Democrat children? Does she mean non-whites? Does that include the illegal immigrants and the children of politicians in Washington DC?
There are several ways to significantly reduce the population of the United States, which is currently around 332 million, not counting several million illegal aliens the Biden Regime has welcomed over the past 3 years (though it does include many from the decades prior). Mind you that this is a government plan, so it has to sound legal or at least “for the greater good” some non-demented, non-psychotic sort of way (Adolf Hitler adage used on purpose there).
One way to eliminate millions of Americans from the face of the earth would be to invent a new virus in a laboratory (mutate an old one with gain of function), spread it on purpose, and then treat anyone who catches a bad case of it and then checks into a hospital, with deadly drugs (Remdesivir) and vascular-clotting vaccines to finish them off.
Another way would be to inject 280 million Americans with millions of virus-mimicking particles, made by their own mutated cells, that invade their cleansing organs, heart, and brain, causing widespread medical chaos, and then blame it all on the virus.
And here you go. Just in case you missed it or require proof: Kamala “Dipsh#t” Harris says the quiet part out loud: “When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population, more of our children can breathe clean air.”
The entire Democrat party is like one huge insane cult. Remember, only YOU can stop global warming. “In that case, wait here; I’ll go grab the torches.” Martha was a patriotic and courageous first lady, who was never so insecure that she required strangers to address her as “Doctor.”
If the denizens of D.C. had even the slightest inclination toward honesty, they would rename their little swampland after Benedict Arnold, a man whose capacity for betrayal they all secretly emulate. The filthy cesspool of narcissists and thieves rules over most of North America and a good chunk of the globe, but it is despised by pretty much anyone on the planet not making a buck from the crony Capitol-ism that fuels the whole rotten system.
Whatever courses through the Leviathan’s veins, it stinks to high heaven. Of course, now that cocaine has been legalized in the West Wing, who knows what kinds of other intoxicants the Leviathan is hopped up on these days? The whole of D.C. has the twitchy personality of a boozing streetwalker bouncing back and forth from coke to ketamine. It is little surprise that the “ruling class” refuses to close the border to fentanyl. A whole city addicted to power and pharmaceuticals can’t welch on the same drug-dealers who fill both the campaign coffers and party stashes of the city’s most decadent deadbeats.
Speaking of fentanyl, the Drug Enforcement Administration has a public safety campaign under the catchy slogan “One Pill Can Kill,” as part of D.C.’s continuing efforts to solve real-life problems with Twitter hashtags. One open border can kill, too, but saying that out loud is neither “politically correct” nor financially viable to an upper-crust corporate oligarchy that survives on cheap, illicit labor. The residents of Benedict Arnold are nothing if not patent hypocrites, but it still seems incongruous for the same bureaucrats who glorify abortifacients to demonize opioids. The Planned Parenthood priesthood spends most of its time cheering, “One pill can kill — yay!” On the other hand, Planned Parenthood’s child-sacrificing disciples — many of whom love opioids as much as Hunter Biden does — pretend to worry about the drug epidemic killing Americans in staggering numbers. Warnings from the same deviants whose open border policies and fixation with child dismemberment have taken more American lives than any foreign military sound sinisterly hollow.
All the average American asks of the federal government is this: provide for our common defense against foreign aggressors; negotiate with other nations on the collective states’ behalf; ensure the operation of a judicial system that treats everyone fairly and evenly; if you’re going to issue a form of money, make sure to maintain its stable value; refrain from starting reckless wars that squander American lives; abide by the restrictions of the Constitution; defend the Bill of Rights; respect the states’ individual sovereignty; and, otherwise, get out of the way.
The Benedict Arnolds have instead illegally opened America’s borders, constructed a criminal (in)justice system that targets political enemies, stolen Americans’ incomes through exorbitant taxes, devalued Americans’ monetary currency through profligate spending, engaged in an unending cycle of wars, abandoned the Constitution, infringed Americans’ inalienable rights, ignored the states’ inherent authority, and inserted themselves into every crevice of American life. To top it all off, their globalist agenda to push “green” energy has destroyed the economy.
Only a dum-dum like Biden would name our current economic doldrums after himself. Bidenomics? Seriously? Is that when you make less, own less, and give the government more? Or is it the name for a crony Capitol-ist system that allows a “public servant” to own three homes and be a millionaire? Or maybe Bidenomics describes a sounder of low-class swine who can afford cocaine but not child support. Whatever its technical definition, its effect is the same: the politically connected keep getting richer while sticking it to the middle class who work for a living. No wonder a lifelong grifter universally known as a bought-and-paid-for stooge of America’s foreign enemies couldn’t care less whether his name is synonymous with economic malaise — just so long as he gets his 10% cut from the communist Chinese!
I wish I could say that Republicans in D.C. are capable of righting the ship at some point. I wish the party of Lincoln still had real principles and served some greater purpose aside from providing the appearance of an electoral choice for voters. For decades, though, it has been the home of too many backstabbing neoconservatives all too willing to vote for Hillary Clinton and underhanded Uniparty co-conspirators working for Marxist globalism and against the American people. In reality, most Republican officeholders are shiny hood ornaments whose function is to distract the public while the Deep State barrels down the road, hitting innocent pedestrians.
Have you noticed how little Republicans actually get done when Donald Trump is not in town? They do a lot of loud huffing and puffing but follow up with little in the way of concrete action. While unethical prosecutors and judges lock up Trump confidants and supporters for their political beliefs, Republican leaders do nothing. While the Department of (in)Justice pursues a potential life sentence against President Trump, Republican leaders are silent. When thoughtcrimes, censorship, and political persecution run rampant, the time for half-measures has ended.
Commie-leaning rags habitually run headlines claiming that Republicans have “pounced” on some issue; conservative publications run headlines applauding Republicans for having “sounded the alarm.” I don’t know about you, but the Republican Party reminds me of a bunch of kitty-cat Karens who struggle to do anything more than report their problems to the manager. In a time when only lions will do, the house cats in D.C. just add stink to the litter box.
It is no surprise, then, that Americans keep looking for political “outsiders” willing to rid D.C. of its Benedict Arnold infestation once and for all. President Trump still holds a commanding lead in Republican primary polling, and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has a solid twenty-plus-percentage share among Democrats. Granted, China Joe puts the lame in “lame duck” as no other child-sniffing fraud could, but it is still amazing that so much of the electorate desperately seeks a leader untethered to B.A., D.C. The “ruling class” clings to permanent power, and the American people — across the political spectrum — are saying quite loudly: It sure would be nice if some cowboy with a little grit visited the entrenched kakistocracy.
Maybe that doesn’t bother a political cabal smitten with rigged elections and accustomed to sticking its collective head up its own derrière, but it should. Institutions that lack legitimacy don’t last long, and recent polls make it strikingly clear that Americans have almost no confidence in the financial, political, and cultural institutions that surround them. While the Feds hunt J6 election protesters, parents concerned about sexualized school curricula, and illusory “white supremacists” lurking in the hills, a majority of Americans know that the real Benedict Arnolds reside just above the sewers of D.C. A city that rules an empire cannot persevere when it betrays its erstwhile friends — and certainly not when it treats everyone opposed to its municipal dominion as an enemy.

]]>F-16s were scrambled and the plane later crashed in rural Virginia. There is no confirmation that the plane was shot down by the military. According to The Gateway Pundit:
The plane that flew over Washington, D.C. Sunday afternoon and crashed in rural Virginia was allowed to fly almost right over the White House, according to flight tracking. The Capitol was briefly put on Yellow alert according to reports. A sonic boom heard in D.C. and in Maryland and Virginia without explanation by authorities caused a panic.
An image posted by BNO News shows the plane flying over Northwest Washington just blocks from the White House. Joe Biden’s schedule had him remaining at the White House for the weekend. There is no word yet on whether protective steps were taken to safeguard him.
ABC News reports that fighter pilots believe the pilot was passed out in the cockpit:
The jets, which were deployed from Joint Base Andrews, saw that the pilot of the aircraft had passed out, this official said. The plane subsequently crashed. Aircraft that are scrambled in this way are under the control of NORAD, and another U.S. official said that NORAD was operating in support of the Federal Aviation Administration.
A flight tracking website shows the craft had made it to its initial destination, Long Island MacArthur Airport in New York, but appears not to have landed — instead heading back toward the D.C. area. A fourth source said that the White House and U.S. Capitol were put on high alert but not “red alert,” which would have triggered an evacuation.
While it seems plausible that the pilot of the plane had a medical emergency and either lost consciousness or died midair, we can never accept the official narrative without confirmation. We’ll monitor and update when more is known.
]]>“The Treasury Department has hit the federal borrowing limit at $31.4 trillion, and they’re going to be able to use cash-management techniques to be able to extend what we call the ‘X date’ of when they’re going to ask for the debt limit to actually be raised, somewhere until later in the summer,” says Matthew Dickerson, senior adviser on budget policy at The Heritage Foundation. (The Daily Signal is the news outlet of The Heritage Foundation.)
“So, the negotiations are starting between Congress and the White House to figure out what are the spending reforms, what are the pro-growth policies that we’re going to implement and pair that with the debt limit increase so that we can put the country on a path to a more prosperous future,” he said.
Dickerson joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to further discuss the latest on the debt ceiling debate, whether the U.S. has ever defaulted on its debt before, and a bill recently introduced by 43 House Democrats to eliminate the debt limit entirely.

Samantha Aschieris: Matthew Dickerson is joining today’s show. He is a senior policy adviser of budget policy in the Grover M. Hermann Center for the Federal Budget here at The Heritage Foundation. Matt, thanks so much for joining us.
Matt Dickerson: Thanks for having me on.
Aschieris: Yeah, of course. Now, here in Washington, the debt ceiling fight continues. America has already reached its debt limit of $31.4 trillion, and that was on Jan. 19. So, Matt, first and foremost, what’s the latest on this?
Dickerson: That’s right. The Treasury Department has hit the federal borrowing limit at $31.4 trillion. And they’re going to be able to use cash-management techniques to be able to extend what we call the “X date” of when they’re going to ask for the debt limit to actually be raised, somewhere until later in the summer.
So the negotiations are starting between Congress and the White House to figure out what are the spending reforms, what are the pro-growth policies that we’re going to implement and pair that with the debt limit increase so that we can put the country on a path to a more prosperous future.
Aschieris: And just speaking of the White House, my colleague, Virginia Allen, reports that they have said that President Joe Biden won’t negotiate over conditions for raising the national debt ceiling. On Wednesday, though, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky said the president absolutely will negotiate. So what are your thoughts on this? What’s at play here?
Dickerson: Absolutely. Just like everything in politics, this is a negotiation. An increase in the debt limit has to go through the House, the Senate, and get signed into law by the president. A bill is not going to be able to get passed unless it’s paired with some sort of spending reforms, as it has been going back for four decades on negotiations about the debt limit. So there will be a negotiation.
Vice President Biden, when he was in the White House, engaged in very significant negotiations with Speaker [John] Boehner in 2011, and I think a similar path is going to follow now.
Aschieris: We have some audio also from Virginia of remarks from Sen. Ted Cruz at a Wednesday press conference with five other GOP senators, and we’re going to go ahead and play that for you now.
Sen. Ted Cruz: There is one principle person in this town that is talking about a default in the debt, and that is Joe Biden. Joe Biden wants to threaten the default in the debt. He wants to scare the markets. And frankly, he’s counting on y’all.
He’s counting on the press corps just to repeat his talking points. He’s counting on the press corps just to say, “Those crazy Republicans want to default on the debt.” That is false. And if you write that in your stories, you are simply repeating partisan talking points from the White House. Historically, the debt ceiling has proven incredibly effective.
Aschieris: So two things from this I want to discuss. First, when Sen. Cruz talks about defaulting on the debt, what does that exactly mean? And what would the consequences be if this were to happen?
Dickerson: Yeah, so, what the senator is talking about is, if the Treasury doesn’t pay back the principle and interest on loans on Treasury bonds and bills—and frankly, that’s not going to happen. The Treasury is going to be collecting record revenues this year, and the Treasury has the ability to prioritize and pay its obligations for debt and the principle and interest on our debt payments. So there’s not going to be a default on our debt.
The Treasury may have to get to a situation, if the debt limit isn’t raised, where we’re simply not spending more than we take in. And at that point, other spending would not go out the door on time as it’s been promised, but we’re not going to default on our debt obligations.
Aschieris: Yeah. Has that ever happened before?
Dickerson: Not in a significant way. Actually, one time back in the ’70s, there was a computer error and some of it didn’t get paid. And there wasn’t a big, big market meltdown. It has happened before, but it’s not something that we want to have happen.
The global financial markets are built on Treasury debt. It’s a very safe asset because the United States is going to pay its obligations. But what we need to do is get to a situation where our federal budget is sustainable and so we’re not issuing debt that we’re not going to be able to meet our promises to pay it back.
Aschieris: Yeah. And the second thing that Sen. Cruz talks about that I want to get your thoughts on is the role of the media and the reporters who are covering the debt ceiling debate. What are your thoughts on what Sen. Cruz had to say about that?
Dickerson: I think it’s interesting, right? A lot of reporters may have not been around in the negotiations that were taking place in 2011 where both sides were talking.
President [Barack] Obama, Vice President Biden was negotiating with congressional Republicans, and they got to a deal that put us on a more sustainable fiscal path. And that happened in the ’90s. That happened in the ’80s on a bipartisan basis. And so there’s always been a negotiation about the debt limit. It’s served as a tool to put the country on a more sustainable fiscal path for decades, and that’s what we need to do this year.
Aschieris: Now, Matt, I also want to get your thoughts on something that we saw from House Democrats recently. They introduced a bill that would essentially do away with the debt ceiling entirely and allow Congress to borrow the money it needed to pay its bills. So first and foremost, what’s this all about?
Dickerson: Yeah, I think that just goes to show how radical the Left is, right? The debt limit is an indispensable tool that protects taxpayers. That’s why it was implemented in the first place. The Left, on the other hand, when we reached the $31.4 trillion debt limit, which should be a crazy wake-up call of how much we’re spending and how much is going out the door, their solution is to get rid of the spending cap and then continue spending, continue borrowing, continue the Federal Reserve’s money printing. That’s only going to push up inflationary pressures and hurt American families. And I think that’s just a crazy, crazy thing that we should be pointing out and doing the opposite.
Aschieris: Yeah, I mean, do Democrats really believe the government can just permanently borrow more money when everyday Americans can’t?
Dickerson: That seems to be their viewpoint, right? If you’ve seen their crazy economic theories of Modern Monetary Theory, which the government has been putting into practice over the last couple of years, and that’s resulted in inflation that we haven’t seen in this country in four decades. And so it’s totally a debunked economic theory.
And what we have seen is when government spending is controlled, when we have regulations that are restricted in a smart tax code, we have economic prosperity that’s broadly felt in this country. And that’s what we need to go back to.
Aschieris: Well, Matt, thanks so much for joining the show today. I always appreciate your insight. We’ll definitely have you back on as this debt ceiling debate continues. Thanks so much.
Dickerson: Great. Thank you.
