It just needs to be embraced. And of course there’s the greatest dog-and-pony show on Earth – politics. And boy does it work. But by exercising some discernment, you can tell. If they share similar visions, no matter what else they may argue about, they are on the same side.

I forgot to mention the carrot and stick of national security. We hear it all the time. “The country must work toward this vision we’ve laid out, because if we don’t, we’ll be taken over by another country that does.”

And at smaller scale, stirring up fears and conflict of group vs group (wokeism for example). They don’t care as long as the result of all the chaos, death and destruction is their shared vision as a way out of it. In fact, out of that unrest, using the tools at their disposal, such as the media, social media, etc., they are better able to herd people toward their vision.

No doubt there are many more examples that I’m not only not thinking of, but probably never occurred to me. But we need to watch for such traps. Once they’ve sold you on their vision, and convinced you that everybody needs to work toward it, you’re finished. You might believe you’re free, but you aren’t. You’ll be chasing carrots, and taking beatings from sticks, for the rest of your days, as will your posterity.

The reason is because it somewhat presumes that the individual in the authoritarian state would have choices concerning whether or not to innovate, what to innovate, whether or not to share the same vision of the future as TPTB, and so on.

Consider the old carrot and stick analogy. Reward and punishment. Certain countries, like China for example, do innovate. But they do so using different carrots and different sticks. Maybe the carrot is a higher social credit score. The stick may be death or concentration camp. Or there may be no carrot at all, with the only incentive being to stay alive. Or if one’s family is threatened, maybe even not staying alive, but keeping the family alive.

These Davos guys are businessmen. They’re accustomed to hiring an innovator, putting him in a lab, and saying, “Alright, I want you to invent something useful by such and such a date. If you do, you’ll get this carrot. If you don’t, you’ll be beaten with this stick.” That’s their mindset. They view this planet and everybody on it the same way they view their companies.

At the root of the problem, as I see it now, is their determination to direct mankind in the direction that they desire, according to their own vision for the future. So they indoctrinate children in schools in hopes the children will grow to share the same vision. They propagandize and evangelize, through the media they basically own. They extort. They lure. They make use of the carrot and stick.

As far as they are concerned, they cannot, under any circumstances, allow mankind to have the choice whether or not to innovate, or what to innovate, as that may mean a different direction is taken that doesn’t fit their vision for the future. That might not fit their business goals, so to speak. Thus their only option is to try to control mankind, using every tactic and tool possible.

The good news is that sticks are more expensive and use more resources than carrots. If all you’ve got is the stick, then the efforts of half the population are going to be tied up policing the other half. You hold out a bowl of food, and the dog come’s running. You go after him with a stick, and you’re going to be at it for quite a while – you’ll wear out chasing him long before he does.

All this being said, it is my opinion that it is incumbent on us to refuse to share their vision. Not to question how it may or may not be achieved, or what carrots and sticks should be allowable, as those are just traps, but to reject it completely and entirely. Stick with God’s unchanging, immovable, perfect Word, and stand on it.
