Specifically, many people will suffer vision impairment for not having the right eye protection, and in some cases, even eye protection that was sold CLAIMING safety will prove not to be safe or, more likely, people will misuse such eye protection and still be affected.

Based on 4th of July event catastrophes that involve missing fingers, etc, in the hundreds every year, for this event I predict about 10,000 cases of vision impairment, if not permanent partial (or even total!) blindness.
