Nothing will ever bring prices back down short of de-inflation as the price levels were not from supply and demand of the marketplace but from monetary policy devaluing currency based upon fiat, trust. The US dollar has new real value except future economic activity. De-inflation is not caused by a government suddenly giving value to its worthless currency but from the flooding the market place with supply ie products or labor. Highly unlikely investors will sell wares with little or no return so labor supply is key. Free and cheap ( the bottom falls out of the market) labor removes the expense incurred by producers theoretically enabling them to profit and lower prices. Fantasy because it assumes investors will willingly give up profit.

A cynical person would see an opportunity to nationalize production and prices.
