It was misspoken and should have stated ‘February’ 24, 2022 as in context he goes on to recall where he was when Ukraine was attacked by Russian forces. Listen to it again.

We need to be ready for anything but this clip has been misinterpreted.

While I am highly suspicious of anything coming from the EU or the Bundestag, I must say that this story is a false alarm. The speech excerpted is from February 2022, and Forbes Magazine has an article datelined February 27, 2022 about the speech, and the reason for his saying September instead of February. He was simply misspeaking.

Absolute non-story. The Bundestag member misspoke, probably alliterating “December” (as in the aping of FDR’s “December 7, 1941) into September.

Might he be referencing the upcoming parliamentary elections? Is he running for office in that election?
